海外安全情報などネット上の情報でメダンは治安が悪いと聞き、飛行機が日暮れ後の到着予定だったので空港から近く送迎も可というのでこのホテルを予約した。
しかしホテルからの迎えは現れず、また空港から近いといっても荷物を担いで歩ける距離でもなく、その時点で自分にとってこのホテルの利用価値はゼロだった。
プールというよりはひょうたん型の池みたいなのがあり、水は綺麗そうだったが周囲にレストランの椅子が並べられていて、常に従業員なのか客なのか判然としない人達がたむろしていて、衆人環視の中では泳ぐ気になれなかったし、実際に泳いでる客も見かけなかった。
フロントの対応だけは非常に良く、質問にも丁寧に答えてくれた。また此処で貰った市街地図が、メダン滞在中に入手できた唯一の地図だった。
観光:
メダンの街は実際に歩いていて治安上の不安は感じられなかった。
街中には大型のショッピングセンターやスーパーが点在し、夜散歩していて警官の常駐する交番なども見かけた。他の街と同様に地区によって差があるのかもしれないが。
ネット上に流れている情報は、数年前のものでも現状を反映していない感じで、他のアジアの国同様ここ数年で多分劇的に変化したのだろうと思う。

部屋は若干老朽化しているが、十分な広さがあり、テレビ、エアコン、ホットシャワーが完備されている。近くにレストランがなく、食事は、ホテルのレストランでとらざるを得ないのでコスト高になった。
観光:
メダンの観光スポットであるマイムーンパレスやマスジット・ラヤに歩いてゆけるところがよかった。

若干老朽化が気になったが、テレビ、エアコン、ホットシャワーがあり、部屋も比較的広く、料金の割には良いホテルだと思いました。ホテルの周囲には、レストランが少なく、食事は、ホテルのレストランを利用するしかなく、コスト高になりました。
観光:
メダンの観光スポットであるマイムーンパレスやマスジット・ラヤに歩いてゆくことができます。

old rustic hotel, but still comfy since its clean
the ambience felt a little rustic but the rooms are still neat, clean, large

-the hotel has an oldie feelings towards it, but since the rooms are clean, i dont mind that so much
-the kareaoke was there all nite, but choose level 2 and above since i sleep fine and there wasnt loud noice overheard in our room

Hotel ii OK for short stay
Rooms are big but only few have windows. Breakfast is OK and wide selection of food items. Hotel claims free airport drop which was not made available on Sunday.

I stayed in this hotel for two days and made a trip to Lake Toba. Hotel staff is friendly. Room service is fast but service guys do not know English. Some times make mistake and serve different item which you did not order. Place is on the main road and very near to Polonia International Airport. If you do not have heavy luggage you can walk to airport with in 15 minutes.

This is my first time booking the hotel through Agoda and it was superb. My check in was done within minutes and the staffs are very polite. The room and toilet were clean but the towels should be changed to a new one. To those who has early flight in the morning, this hotel is the perfect choice since you can reach the airport less than 10 minutes. There is no packed breakfast for us and they said they never did this (I once read about this from the reviewer before I chose this hotel).

Inexpensive - ordinary hotel near the airport
Generally 'nice', room was pleasant, near the airport.

I thought the staff at reception were helpful. The hotel is a little labyrinthine, and it was quite a walk from the room to reception. Air con was pre-set wityh no guestr control ... and was therefore set at too hot a temperature. It's fine for one night before flying off from the airport, but not likely to become one of your top twenty hotels.
