Upon arrival, we are met by the concierge staff was there to welcome us. The front-line staff greet us with a beautiful smile and they are very professional in handing of our request. We do not have any problem with our check-in. The housekeeping staff handle our rooms very well for our 4 days stay. We also like the mini-mart staff who has helped me in chasing the dog away as I am afraid of dogs. The cafe staff always greet us with a great smile. The cafe served a good spread of breakfast and we really enjoy the breakfast very much. Both my hubby and I will come to Best Western Allamanda Laguna Phuket Hotel in July 2010. Looking forward

our stay with best western suited our needs nicely. it was very relaxing and lots of room for our 21 month old son to run around. the free shuttle and ferry service was extremely useful and all of the features of the laguna club is extremely attractive. the prices are standard resort prices all round. breakfast was satisfactory, but the resort was quiet whilst we were there and some of buffet had sat for a while. it seems allamanda is due for upgrades as all the surrounding hotels seem to be 'out-doing' them in terms of facilities ie, restaurants, gym and kids club. we were told by a laguna club staff member that best western was the next one in line for a reno so maybe it will be done before the next time we go there. great value for money! staff are incredibly polite and the room was always clean.

the whole laguna phuket was amazing. loved my honeymoon at allamanda. the workers are super nice and very helpful. honest as well as i left my jacket in the toilet but they kept it nicely at the reception counter. also, love the whole boat ride and their spas. the experience was just amazing.

Perfect stay”

The only one thing I regret is that I didnt booked more nights. We loved the place Excellent hotel , Amazing Laguna, perfect service , great logistic with shuttle bus. I red mixed reviews but I am really happy that we stayed in Allamanda. We didnt want to leave .Sure will book again and recommend with two hands .

Value for money within budget”

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to anyone interested in laguna phuket area to stay among other hotels. The room was huge and spacious. Liked kitchennet allowed me to have some simple meals in the room. the environment was very quiet probably suitable for those who want to relax and stay away from noisy places, and to spend quailty time for your own. I have no complaint at all, but if you dare to ask, the price of room has increased compared to last year or in the past during the same period of time. (I go there every year at the same period)

Affordable option in a high-priced area”

Misleading / out-of-date check-in instructions received from Agoda, but quickly sorted out by phone. Allamanda's exterior is attractive and well-maintained, but the site is exaggerated by the published images, the property sits on a very narrow strip of land. There is a very good pool, and a nice view from the balconies, but the big open space in all the pictures is the Laguna Golf Club, and Allamanda guests are very sternly prohibited from even stepping on the path which separates the two properties. We had a one-bedroomed apartment, quite spacious but very basically furnished. The exterior matched up to the pricey neighbouring properties, but the interior presumably reflected the far lower prices here. It wasn't shabby, but cheaply furnished and rather dark, with tired linens and towels. The staff were great, especially our cleaner and minimart assistant. Nice pool, good breakfast served next door, and overall a very good base on a budget in a luxury development.

Reasonable room with a great staff”

Overal the Best Western Allamanda Laguna Phuket Hotel had one of the easiest going and friendly staffs I have experienced over the years. The hotel itself is a bit complicated to find since the reception desk is across the street and there is poor signage to locate it. The breakfast ( included) was average but adequate. There is a small mini mart and a ATM located on the lower floor of the hotel, so that make it convenient since Laguna is a more quiet area of Phuket. About a kilometer is a strip of some outstanding restaurants , which makes the area nice for couples or families that don't want to be in the middle of the normal tourist night club scenes. Check out was a breeze, so I would certainly stay again.

A big and clean apartment with two big bedrooms. The view is all in green and it’s very delightful. It’s not new but it’s clean definitely. The rent is very low in terms of what you got. We don’t cook and I have no comments on the kitchen. It’s suitable for family who drives around in Phuket. Laguna area has its distinctive elegance and ambience. People at reception are nice and helpful. I would recommend this to families who are looking something value for money.

A service apartment perfect for Triathletes”

The room was well-equipped with pots and pans, microwave oven, cups, mugs, wine glasses. The location was great - 10 minutes walk from the transition area. The room was spacious - living room was big enough we could pack/unpack bicycles into two boxes at the same time! Perfect for self-catering triathletes joining the Laguna Phuket Triathlon and Challenge Laguna Triathlon.

Being part of the laguna resort complex means as a guest, u have access to all the facilities of the entire complex. Free shuttle buses and water taxis makes getting around very very easy. frequency is good - hardly any waiting. The Allamanda itself is quite dated now. Some of the facilities show their age. Closet drawers dont quite close, we had issues with our door lock .. cannot open to we had to call the front desk to send someone to open for us with master key. However - service more than made up for the aging facilities. The crew is very helpful, always cheerful and very accomodating. We got an upgrade and late checkout with no hassle. It was low season and room rates are unbelievably low .. so its really good value for money. Would stay there again. Launa area is not quite 'down town' .. so getting to shopping and nightlife is an adventure.

Great location and friendly staff”

I stayed in a junior apt after my initial booking at Allamanda was cancelled (hotel decided to close early for renovation). The room and lounge were really big , heaps of room, the staff at reception really helpful, friendly and efficient. The hotel is well located centrally on the laguna, easy to navigate around the other resorts with the little shuttle boat (no jetty avail. at the lhrc) from the canal shopping. Nice pool too. On the downside, the kitchen was poorly equipped, 1 frypan and a set of cutlery and that was it. I couldn't move the shower head which was flooding the bathroom floor. I would still recommend the LHRC as it the cheapest of all the Laguna hotels , as a nice view on the Golf course and a great staff.

Overall, great value for money. Incredibly helpful staff! 3 buildings with 3 pools, renovated rooms with balconies overlooking the golfcourse/ pools/ laguna. Only 5 mins to beach by free shuttle boat (runs every 20 mins) Located in the "Laguna" with another 4 hotels, so you can eat at any of the other hotels or buy a day pass to use their pools/beach. Buffet breakfast 480 Baht (Apr 2010) was perfectly acceptable with Western and Thai food. Local restaurants on beach very reasonable. Small Minimart at the hotel and bigger one at "Canal Village" shops. Booked a top-class day trip to PhiPhi Islands through Laguna Tour Desk.

Lovely place for the family stay”

If travelling with a toddler - this is a great place. The apartments are well equipped and the bed allows for very comfortable sleep even with a child. We loved the place and would not hesitate to come back. The biggest attraction for our little guy were the shuttle buses that take you to local beach, shopping area or even to the entry of Laguna for free. There aren't many places to eat in the Laguna however just at the entry to Laguna is a town with many choices of local and western cousines. Wish we were staying for longer!

Great Laguna option”

We live in Thailand and always stay in the Laguna area when in Phuket and were really impressed with the facilities of these serviced apartments. Everything you need to enjoy your stay with young children. Spacious rooms, great a/c , great kitchenette for cooking for the young ones. Very helpful friendly staff and we will be back when in Phuket.

Great for group travel!”

Booked a stay here with my parents for the Laguna Phuket Marathon and was not disappointed. The one-bedroom suite was space enough for all of us and the kitchen made preparing meals very easy. Free shuttle also made getting around the resort area easy, although we rented a car for our longer excursions. (Parking spaces right at our building made carrying the shopping up quite simple!)

We were putting up at Banyan tree and do not have enough room for our nanny thus booked her at Allamanda for 2 nights. Check in/check out was a breeze. Room was huge for her stay. Shame we have no time to ustilse the facilities as we were mainly at Banyan. Would def consider to book again considering the size of the room. Rooms were mainly v Balinese style but hubbs thought it looked dated..it didn’t bother me much. Plus that it had complimentary 24/7 shuttle service throughout the resort and up till Banyan! Great value overall!

Nice hotel, excellent swimming pool”

We enjoyed our stay at Best Western Allamanda Laguna Phuket Hotel. The ferry and shuttle bus service enabled us to go around the various hotels in the Laguna area.

Lovely large rooms”

first time i have stayed at this hotel; have previously stayed at laguna beach resort. the 2 bedroom suite was large and has a kitchenette (which we did not use). had an older style tv but this was not an issue as we spent most of the time out of the room. no problems were experienced and hotel staff were friendly. while not on the each, access to the beach was reasonably quick and easy although the best western allamanda beach area needs to be improved as most of the loungers on the beach are broken and small. we rather paid person to use the dusit thani's facilities (access to beach and their pool). wi-fi in rooms was good. there is no gym at this hotel.

Excellent property ”

If you are looking for quiet and amazing vacations, look no further and go for Allamanda. One of the finest property in Phuket. Bit far from the central location (Patong) but perfect getaway for family vacations. More beautiful than what you actually see on Agoda pics.
