Good hotel, great location.”

we enjoyed our holiday at the andaman lanta hotel. so pleased that we chose this hotel on khlong dao beach. the hotel is just two stories and also with bungalows in lovely grounds. we had a de-luxe room with balcony looking over the pool with a sea view. well worth the price as standard rooms are at the front overlooking the road. we also had a better view from our balcony than if we were in a bungalow. will definately return if back in ko lanta.

Great beach side location with handy pier access”

Stayed at the Andaman Lanta Resort in Feb 2014. After a long journey from Krabi airport to Koh Lanta is was a bonus to find the Andaman Lanta Resort located at the first beach (Khlong Dao) on the Western side of the Island. I've read other reviews on Trip Advisor some good others critical of this hotel. The Andaman Lanta Resort is one of several beachfront hotels and resorts along this stunning beach. I found the hotel facilities good, rooms clean - although the bathroom lacked hot water in the sink - the shower has hot water. This makes shaving awkward but a minor issue over all. Breakfast buffet was OK (5/10) but the hotel location offers easy access to the nearby Sala Dan Town with it's many restaurants and shops. Motorcycles can be rented from the hotels for only 250 baht / day and this is far cheaper than the Tuk Tuks who charge 100 baht for the short trip to town. In terms of booking Island excursions (Koh Mook/ Emerald Cave etc) I found most of the Tour Shops in the area offering very little discounts (10%) compared to Phuket and Krabi where you can obtain big discounts by shopping around. Lastly you will make a saving of 200 baht by booking your return ferry ticket directly at the pier instead of the hotel.

Good value hotel, very nice staff”

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights in the cheapest room that they did and we were very pleased with our stay. Koh Lanta was going into low season when we were there so it was very quiet around the hotel. For the price we paid we were very happy with the room, it could do with a bit of an upgrade but thats no big deal for the price. The location is good, the hotel backs straight onto the beach, not the best area for swimming though as you will see at low tide as there are rocks in the sea. But just a few minutes walk down the beach in a nice areafor swimming. The staff we're very attentive and friendly, especially in the restaurant. The included breakfast was chosen from a choice of 6 options for the weekdays we stayed there and then buffet style during the weekend because they were busier. Though I'm sure during high season it would be served buffet style every day.

Great location and lovely hotel!”

Had a lovely 3 night stay at the Andaman Lanta Resort. It is approximately a 10 min drive from Saladan Pier, which is where most people arrive in Koh Lanta. We booked a seaview room and were not disappointed at all. Although the bungalows around the pool area looked really nice, we were more than happy with the view of the sea from our room. direct view). The restaurant had some really nice food and although more expensive in comparison to the food outside, it was nothing too drastic. The smoothies were great! Had a really lovely time at this hotel and would definitely book again the next time we visit Koh Lanta.

Andana Lanta Resort”

My wife and I are traveling for 3 months total. Our visit to Andana Lanta Resort was the only time we opted for nice digs instead of the usual guesthouse or hotel. We were celebrating my wife's birthday that weekend. The staff and the environment at the Resort were wonderful. We stayed three nights in the beachside bungalow and then to save money, but to not have to leave we asked to move into the hotel part of the resort for only 700 baht/night. They were happy to oblige and we were still treated every bit as well. If we make it back to Koh Lanta we will certainly see about vacancies at Andana Lanta Resort first.

A very nice place to stay!”

We were backpacking for three weeks in Thailand and this is the place we want to go back to! The hotel is situated right on the beach of Koh Klong Dao which is a very nice beach to visit. When we visited by the end of November it was very calm and peaceful. The hotel environment is nice and they have a nice pool. We had booked a fairly cheap standardroom, which was surprisingly well equipped, both fan and AC. The cleaning was good too. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food in the restaurant was good and the prices the best on our trip.

Comfort in Paradise”

We really enjoyed Our stay at the Andaman Lanta. The room we stayed in was comfortable, clean, pretty and secure. The only complaint that we had was that our bungalow was connected to another one by two locked doors and the doors were very thin so we could hear our neighbors quite well. If that is a problem, they also had bungalows that were unattached.The staff were friendly and went out of their way to be helpful. The breakfast was average with a western style selection of toast, fried eggs, omelette, fruit and cereal and a variety of Asian style food. Their lunch menu had a good selection and we enjoyed the food that we ate there. Their piña coladas were amazing! The pool was nice but there were a lot of children there and you have to arrive early to get a chair if you prefer sitting poolside rather than on the beach. The resort is located on a beautiful beach and is near to many other restaurants and plenty of massage booths! We were disappointed that they did not offer free wifi, but you can pay extra to get it if you need regular access. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we would stay there again.

Koh Lanta is Amazing”

Koh Lanta is a great place. It's a little hard to get to. We travelled from Langkawi to Phuket and stopped at Koh Lanta for a night to break up the journey. We should have stayed longer. Its quiet and beautiful, but you can get anything you need there. The hotel restaurant has really, really amazing Thai food.

Exceptional”

Had a fantastic time on Koh Lanta and this place was ideal for getting to where we wanted to go. We had a pool view room which was big, bright and clean. The staff are very helpful and the breakfast was very good. Would definitely recommend

Paradise near the beach”

This hotel is good with nice staff and a good restaurant. There are too much families with children. Because there isn't any sunbeds on the beach you have to be at the pool with all the screaming children. Me and my husband changed hotel after 3 nights too Lanta Palace Resort..no children and sunbeds on the beach. We rented a motorbike and explored the island, there isn't so much traffic.

We stayed two nights at the Andaman Lanta Resort as part of a week long stay on Koh Lanta. The hotel was fine, but more suited to families than independent couples. We preferred the smaller resorts we stayed in during our stay for their charm and individuality and found the Andaman Lanta Resort unmemorable. Location right on the beach was good and it was clean.

Lovely hotel in a great location”

The hotel is at the southern end of Khlong Dao beach and has a lovely pool and looks out onto the beach. The rooms are neat and well equipped and the hotel serves a good breakfast. The staff are friendly and helpful. We only planned to stay 3 nights but as my wife was taken ill we stayed for 11 nights instead. The hotel was really helpful and supportive providing free transport to the doctor 4 times during this period.

Great hotel and good service”

On arrival the check in was straight forward.We had a bungalow which was almost on the beach.It was clean and spacious, with tea/coffee making factilities,in room safe, flat screen tv,comfortable double bed,bath and shower,fridge and plenty of furniture where to put clothes.Clean beach towels were left in the room each day when the room was cleaned.The swimming pool was clean and surrounded by sunbeds.The breakfast when we were there was a set menu with about 4 different choices,this was problably because the hotel was not full, we were there in their green season.The hotel is on the the beach and a short stroll takes you to bars/restaurants etc but most were closed this time of year.Out the front on the main road there is plenty of places to eat and drink.You can get a tuk into Saladin about 5 minute ride. We would stay at this hotel again if we ever decide to go back to Koh Lanta

Fab-u-las great hotel clean & comfortable”

large room just steps to the sandy beach, and had a large bathroom. Very quiet and relaxing, hotel staff nice. Same old problems with sun beds by the pool, people reserve them and don't sit on them until very late. We had 4 rooms 6 adults a 2 small children. Good eating places along the beach. Take a tuk-tuk to the Market centre, nice places to eat and drink. Also good shopping but you must drive a hard bargain when buying from the Market stalls, as they are a bit cheeky with high prices at first. Hotel consists of mainly guests from Sweden. Lost of families with young kids and them you get the old couples very few smiliy faces around the pool with the oldies. Al in all it was a great stay and report.

great location, passable rooms”

One of the older resorts on Lanta, and thus having a large beach front and ample grounds. The service and room quality was good enough. Pool big enough for excercising, nice breakfast by the sea, quite standard fare, though.

The best holiday in paradise!”

This was one of the best stay! Maybe because of the Island itself, but we did not want to leave this place! Hotel is clean, nice and very pleasant. We booked standard room and were very satisfied. Everyday girls made towel figures, for free! No ants and other insects in the room (just do not keep the balcony open). Enough space for two people, good air condition. The hotel is on the beach, sea was excellent! Waves, clean water, no crowds and we were like alone there. We wondered all the time, why people sunbathed near the waterpool - the sea is near! Waiters in the restaraunt are very friendly, do all their best for us to enjoy our stay. Great massage and relaxing atmosphere in total.

brilliant hotel in my opinion, we were going to book a bungalow on the beach elsewhere but the cost was more than this hotel with less features, free breakfast, great pool, attentive staff, and a short tuk tuk ride to saladan for all the restaurants and nightlife although just walking along the beach was great too with a lot of choice of places to eat,we were only staying 3 nights but ended up staying nearly 3 weeks, the staff continually managed to accomodate us all be it with a room change on one occasion, recommend this place

Great location but Old Hotel”

the hotel is located on the beach.. it is an old hotel but the rooms are clean and spacious.. Normally i stay at Ananda Lanta Resort, which is a new hotel and owned by the same owner.. since Ananda Lanta Resort was fully booked, i had to stay at the old hotel.. Cons.. the attitude of foreigners.. they booked/reserved the pool chairs early and only used them later.. Hotel management needs to do something with this..

Middle range goodness.”

Great middle range value. Perfect location on the beach and helpful staff. Well looked after pool and garden area. The only downer was the room location, with the plumbing for the resort just outside. The noise of that was consistent and sleep-disturbing. I'm sure any other room would be fine.
