          Sojourne Boutique Villas”

Beatiful Villas, amazing bathrooms, exceptional staff, great food, lovely pool and grounds
Guests from a "sister accomodation" sometimes use the swimming pool.

Everything at the Sojourne villas was perfect from the moment we arrived and were given sweet coconut pancakes as a welcome gesture. The Villas are beautifully spaced around a lovely swimming pool. The Villas are spacious and the bathroom is huge with a great bath with waterfall type taps and a huge rainfall shower. The swimming pool is lovely and has a few sunbeds around the pool. The restaurant is overlooking the pool and has a great choice of food served to perfection. The breakfast is served al a carte and ice towels given to guests prior to meals being served. I think that what makes the Sojourne extra special is the staff, who are exeptional. They are extremely friendly and competent, they get to know their guests and call them by their names, they leave small gestures such as flowers in the room and on the patio and chocolates in the room. The Villas are located approximately 5 minutes from the centre of Siem Reap by Tuk Tuk (5 dollars)and there is no problem accessing one when required. We hope to return to Siem Reap and we will definately stay at the Sojourne Villas, and we would most defianately recommend it any of our friends.

          A little bit of paradise!”

Sojourn Boutique Villas is wonderful! The property is small, and intimate, located a bit outside of Siem Reap, but an easy took tuk tuk ride into town . Staff are delightful and very accommodating, and their kitchen is terrific and creative. The pool area is beautiful, with a swim up bar that even hosts a happy hour each afternoon. Each lovely villa is a little world unto itself. But most important, the hotel works closely with the people of the nearby village in order to improve their lives through an international organization called HUSK. They also have a strong commitment to sustaining and improving the environment. We would go back there in a minute if we could !

          Fantastic stay”

Staff is very pleasant and super helpful. Rooms are beautiful and very comfortable. Room had a free minibar.

My husband and i loved our stay at Sojourn. The staff is top notch and and very helpful, definitely one of the best service I have experienced in a hotel. The hotel’s tuktuk drivers too were super nice, and made our rides very comfortable; they carried along bottled water and wet towels for us during our day tours. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing, and I especially loved the bathroom which are very spacious. Its evident that a lot of thought has been put into every little detail in the property. The room had a free minibar which was awesome. We found a few mosquitoes in our room (probably entered during the room cleaning) and the staff promptly bug-sprayed it. The property is located in a village and is very serene. On the flip side, it's a little far from the main town (a 15min tuktuk ride away). The village road stretch that leads to the property is bumpy and dusty. Overall, I'd highly recommend staying here. It's definitely one of Siem Reap's best boutique hotels. I stayed at one other boutique hotel in Siem Reap (similar room rates), and it was no where close to Sojourn's service. I was a little sad while checking out of Sojourn.

          relaxing”

          great atmosphere
          none

This is my first time to visit Cambodia and Sojourn Boutique Villas Siem Reap gave me a great impression and experience. Every morning, they would deliever their own newsletters outside our room, you can see the latest functions in the hotel and the news, weather of cambodia. The staff in there was well trained and they were nice and helpful. The room is gorgeous and the swimming people was good for relaxing. Also, we had joined the private dinner, it was an unforgottable experience in my life, the food was excellent, the best western food that i have ever eat. Amazing Hotel a short drive from town”

          Attention to detail

The Sojourne Boutique Villas were a fantastic oasis in Siem Reap. The town is extremely touristy, and staying 5 min outside of town was a bonus we didnt count on. There are only 11 rooms at this hotel, and it allows them to apy attention to every detail, and really focus on the customer. The service was great, and the breakfast was too. I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel to anyone going to Siem Reap. I cant say enough good things about it, or how much we enjoyed our stay.

          Beautiful Oasis”

          Staff, Pool and Rooms

My family absolutely loved, loved, loved our stay. The room rate incl. airport pickup & drop off. However, we did not arrive by plane, we took the bus from Phnom Penh to Siem Reap & spent the first couple of days in a completely different hotel. The owners arranged for transpo to pick us up from our hotel in town & then again from Sojourn to the bus station for our return trip back to the capital. The staff & owners were overwhelmingly friendly & helped us out in any way that they could, incl. making tour arrangments. We spent several hours during our stay, talking with the owners who were more than willing to provide any answers that they could regarding the history of the locals that lived near the temples & in their surrounding village. Upon arrival, we were greeted with cool & refreshing welcome drinks. The staff noticed that neither my husband or son liked their drinks & brought them different ones. The pool had algae growing along the walls which we brought to the front desks attention. The very next morning, a pool man was testing the water & checking out the pump/filtration system-what a quick response! My son is a picky eater & when I approached the front desk & made a request for a special meal, the receptionist said that she would let the Chef know of my request & inquired as to what time we would be eating dinner. The rooms were spacious & the aircon kept the room cool. My son absolutely loved the bathtub where the waterfall like bathtub so much that he asked if one could be installed in our house! Pool towels were plentiful & replaced with fresh, clean ones, shortly after a guest left the pool area. The swim-up bar was a nice touch. One day, I stretched out across all of the bar seats to sunbathe, which was absolutely refreshing in the heat of the day. The Villas are a short drive from the markets & pub street but not so far that I wouldn’t stay here again & will recommend this place to anyone that I know that will be visiting Siem Reap.

          Great food and magnificent staff”

The staff, the massages, the food

Sojourn Boutique Villas is the perfect base to explore everything Siem Reap has to offer. It's set in the countryside a 10 minute drive from the town, but with a complimentary taxi service each evening this is only a good thing. There is a lovely pool with a swim-up bar and the food served at the restaurant is delicious. The hotel also offer cheap massages, which are the best I've ever had. My only criticism is that I found the beds really hard – other than that I can't fault this place. We'll definitely be back!

          Fantastic”

Beautiful bungalows around a superb swimming pool in a tropical garden.

we spent 5 nights at sojourn boutique hotel and were absolutely delighted by our stay. the hotel is one of the most beautiful we ever stayed in. the staff is fantastic: always smiling and willing to help. the hotel is located a 10-minute tuk tuk ride from siem reap touristic center and even though it is a bit farther from angkor vat complex than the hotels situated in the city, its surroundings are well worth exploring to have a glimpse of cambodian rural life. plus the food served at the hotel in very good (a bit more expensive than in the city but still reasonably priced) it very easy to arrange tuk tuk from the reception to visit the temples (plan to stay at least 3 days to have enough time to explore most of them) highly recommended

The human quality of this hotel is top class”

          We simply liked everything

A perfect hotel, a quiet oasis on the outskirts of Siem Reap with very kind, polite and helpful personnel, a beautiful room and an excellent restaurant with very good food and a wonderful view on the pool and its exotic surrounding. Whatever number of stars, we consider Sojourn Boutique Villas a top class place with a human quality we have hardly ever met anywhere in the world.

          Worth the journey!”

Stunning location, warm and helpful staff, lovely rooms, awesome private outdoor showers, tasty food, and salt water pool with swim up bar, perfect for relaxing after a day at the temples.
Only bad thing about the place is that it's in a remote location about 10km from downtown Siem Reap.

As we drove toward Sojourn, we started to worry that the long drive and distant location from the center of town would mean disappointment in the venue as a whole. We couldn't have been more wrong! We were more than pleasantly surprised to find a wonderful paradise amid the rural Teak Village, and the experience just got better the more time we stayed. We'd had every intention of just checking in, taking a refreshing dip and heading back to the temples for the afternoon, but that plan quickly changed once we saw the pleasant and relaxing pool area and our lovely room. The restaurant offered a good selection of local food and went out of their way to accommodate any of our desires. I got traveler's revenge while in Siem Reap so we ended having to stay at the Villas for New Year's Eve, but I couldn't have imagined a better place to be "stuck." Perfect location for a romantic getaway or for a family looking to get away from the hectic tourism of Siem Reap.

Little piece of heaven & friendly, caring service.”

Just a few minutes out of Siem Reap, so it is a quiet atmosphere and hustle and bustle of the city. The rooms are warm and inviting (and extremely clean)

The Sojourne has its own chef so the meals are unbelievable. The staff are patient, helpful and friendly, and genuinely interested in giving you a positive experience. The owners are happy to provide helpful advice about city tours and some little places that you did not think of visiting (the Butterfly Museum). If your intention is to just relax for a few days, the atmosphere at the Sojourne is ideal with their pool, small swim-up bar, and their special feature of turning down your bed for you and burning a candle in your room in late afternoon. Guests ages ranged from 20-something to 65ish, from all parts of the world. I truly believe that anyone looking at options for accommodations in Siem Reap, should seriously consider the Sojourne. Do not be turned off when you give the address to a tuk tuk or taxi driver and they do not seem to know where it is - they will inquire with their colleagues and get you there every time. Enjoy your experience.

          Location, friendliness, food

The choice of this hotel, made our entire Siem Reap vacation!! It is placed in a small village, Treak village. And you get right into Cambodian every day life. An unforgettable experience! Our vacation wasn't just about Angkor anymore, it was about Cambodian living as well. Sojourn felt like an Oasis in Siem Reap. The staff were so friendly, place looks beautiful, and I would want to go back just to have that food again... ;) It is not far from either town or temples, and they will arrange transport. Thank you Sojourn, for making 3 nights into a memory for a lifetime!!!

          Amazing, Amazing, Amazing”

Individual villas, gardens and pool, food and staff

we stayed at sojourn for three amzing nights. we can't speak highly enough of our time with sojourn. prior to our trip to cambodia my partner and i discussed wanting to organise a traditional cambodian buddhist wedding blessing but we didn't have a clue in how to go about organising something like this. months before our trip we emailed sojourn to ask if they would be able to help us organise this, they went out of their way to organise the most amazing day for us. the staff are friendly and the service is personalised, with only 11 villas at the hotel it is very peaceful and the food is also amazing (some of the best we had in cambodia). we would recomment sojourn as the best place we stayed in cambodia (we stayed in four hotels all together). the villas themselves are comfortable and well layed out. the restaruant has the most atmosphere especially at night, my partner actually proposed to me here at dinner if you are considering sojourn just book it, you won't be disappointed with your stay it is a peaceful and beautiful oasis and the owners are big supporters of the local villages and people.

Unique village setting Quiet and private Lovely food Excellent service
          Away from shops etc

My mother and I stayed at the Sojourn and we loved it. It was a lovely peaceful retreat away from Siem Reap town, and an experience in itself to stay in the village. The staff cannot do enough for you and the food from the restaurant is delicious, and excellent quality. The villas are simple in style but spacious, clean and very comfortable. Being slightly out of Siem Reap town was a blessing - it was so nice to escape the hot, dusty town at the end of the day or even to pop back for lunch. We would absolutely recommend this hotel!

We stayed here as we wanted something a little different and special and Sojourn Boutique Villas delivered it all, and more. Our room was beautiful and the setting was magic. The staff were extremely helpful and willing to please. We took advantage of some of the tours the hotel offered and were very pleased we did. Loved the cooking class and village tour. Our temple guide was friendly and knowledgable without going into too much history. Wished we could have stayed longer but will come back again.

Great little hotel with an excellent staff”

Friendly Staff, Great Private Villas, Nice Pool

This is an out-of-the-way gem in Siem Reap. The hotel is located about 15 minutes from town in a small village. The hotel has 10 villas. These villas exceeded our expectations for a Cambodian hotel and for the price. The pool is very nice and features a swim-up bar. The rooms are large, with a daybed, desk, etc. The bathrooms are great, with very nice tubs and separate inside/outside showers. The villas offer a very private setting. What sets this hotel apart is the staff. One does not expect to be waited on hand and foot at a hotel costing $100 a night. On our trip we stayed at Mandarin Oriental, at Regent and at other big names, and this was the best service we experienced. The hotel will also set you up with a driver for $30 a day. I recommend you ask for Mr. Hav ("how"). He spent two days taking us around the temples and was nothing but kind and helpful. The only criticism I can possibly offer is that the televisions in the room are very old and small.

          Wonderful in every way”

small and personal, pool area & pool bar, best food ever!

we loved sojourn villas. it is much smaller than i expected, with only about 10 villas all situated in well-kept gardens surrounding the pool. each villa felt very private, but the resort was small enough to feel personal. the villas were great. spacious, lovely bathrooms including gorgeous bath. it was great to cool off in the pool after some hard "templing"! there were loungers and day beds around the pool, and the pool bar was excellent - excellent service and good snacks to keep us going until dinner. the best thing about sojourn was the food. it was the best we had in our entire trip to cambodia and vietnam - fresh herbs, vibrant flavours - i wish i could go back now for their beef koereng! order a "temple pack" picnic lunch for days when you are off to temples or lake tonle sap - delicious and so convenient. we were intending to do the meet-the-village walk, but we were there at the end of the monsoon and it wasn't really possible due to flooding. the hotel will arrange any transport / tours you want - we had a driver for 4 days who took us to the temples, floating village etc. the only warning i would give is to be aware that this hotel is a long way from town - so if you are the sort that likes to wander into the town and come-and-go often, this may not be suitable. for us, the peaceful location and the fact we had on-site the best restaurant in indochina it was perfect!

We have a great time in Sojourn Villas and Angkor Wat. The spool is very beautiful and staffs are very attentive, frendly and useful in service. This villas is located in a village nearby Siem Reap town and a little bit far from airport but it does not matter becuase the villas offered transfer service at no extra charge. We were picked up at the airport by a lovely guy with a cool bag containing beer, coke, water and fresh juices.. So our first impressions were fantastic.. Super fast check in on arrival, once we were settled in our room we were brought welcome drinks and cold towells. The stay at Sojourn was amazing, the villa's are beautiful, big bathroom, giant comfortable bed. We arrived late and ordered room service, Prawns for me, steak for him, very well cooked and delicious. The hotel arranged a car and to take us to Angkor Wat the next day, very reasonably priced and charged to our hotel bill. We had gone to Siam REap to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday, Soujorn arranged a cake and left a chilled bottle of wine for us. The in room massage was lovely, no need to book, just call reception and they send somebody straight away. Breakfast is delicious, ordered off the ala cart menu so its freshly cooked. This hotel goes out of its way to help in away it can, they booked our flights down to Pnomh Penh, arranged helicopter flights for us over Angkor Wat, nothing is too much trouble. If we ever return to Siam Reap this hotel without a doubt will be our number one choice.

          Amazing...an oasis from the crowds”

Attentive staff, beautiful surroundings, wonderful foods

We were greeted and given an introduction to the operations of the hotel by Dani ( a very friendly and attentive staff member). The staff speak English fairly well and had memorized our names by the end of the three days we were there. The grounds were tropical, lush and a true oasis away from the crowds and sights of Siem Reap. The food was excellent and the water used to prepared all dishes was filtered and safe for us to use. There was easy access to sights by tuk-tuk which the staff arranged for us. They have a commitment to their employees to educate them and teach them skills ( like the women who ran the spa). They have Cambodian cooking classes on the grounds. We loved this hotel!!! My kids wanted to come back to the hotel early each day so they could enjoy relaxing in the beautiful pool. I would recommend the villas and not the terrace suite in the main building. The villas were full when we were there.
