Great value for solo traveler”
The standard room I got was a spacious suite room with equipped kitchen. The furnishings are very basic but the aircon, the TV, and the shower all worked well. Wonderful view of Manila bay. The staff was helpful and professional. The restaurant was surprisingly upscale and very affordable. Free breakfast. Plenty of parking in front. Greta location near the fun spots and shops of Ermita-Malate. No problem accepting the Agoda voucher. Great value for travelers who value location and room space.

Excellent value Hotel and the best staff around.”
I booked for a 6 day stay initially. I was so happy with the hotel I ended up staying an extra week. The room had everything I needed. Fridge, stove/oven, very comfortable bed, on 14th floor so no street noise, A big window that I could open and smell the sea and what a great view down past Makati, to MOA and back towards the city of Manila. My aircon was cold and quiet the shower was HOT water with good flow. Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh towels and bed linen done and floor was swept and rubbish removed. The staff here are so good, I tipped them all which is rare for me! Overall the hotel is older and does need some freshening up, but the foyer is immaculate and the elevators are fast and modern. The hotel has a cafe and bar/restaurant,,,, I didn't use as I had my own cooking, bur from outside it was very new, clean and glitzy and they had plenty of customers so that is always a good guide. I was so happy that after I went and did my business in Laguna I cam back for another week. I won't be staying in any other hotel now, this is my home away from home now. I paid only $41AU a night, no deposit asked for and it was terrific value. Apart from looks I would rate this a 3 to 4 star place, it just lacks the La De Da for 5 stars. Places close by are Robinsons Mall 5mins (walk), Moa 10 mins by taxi about 100php, Ocean Park 10 mins, casino 5mins, 100's of restaurants around, and Manila Bay Walk is across Roxas Boulevard via a pedestrian bridge. L.A bar in one block away if you want to watch the footy or have a dance, just dodge the bar girls and you will be right.. they are friendly and won't annoy you if they understand you just there for a drink. Touts and beggars are everywhere in Malate, you get used to saying "no peso" it is a few pickpockets that you need to watch for, and they are children about 11yo...okay!!! Anyways hope this review helps you and enjoy your stay in Manila. C ya!

Exactly what I was looking for!”
i looked at literally every hotel in malate and chose boulevard mansion. it ended up being the perfect choice. the main thing for me was the location. it was right in the area i wanted (right behind manila bay cafe) which is a popular bar. i booked the one bedroom suite and it was great. kitchen, dining area, living room area and separate bedroom. nice bathroom too. sure its an older hotel but it seemed well kept and clean. i have no complaints whatsoever. i've stayed in different hotels in the malate area of manila, but from now on i'm going to stick with boulevard mansion.

nice hotel; nice location”
i've stayed here a few times and reviewed it a few this too. it is always a nice place to stay in the metro manila area. the neighborhood may not be the best at night for children, but overall i like the location as it is right on manila bay. it makes for a nice walk in the daytime. it has more culture in it; makati can get a bit bland after greenbelt and skycrapers. also, it is easy walking distance to intramuros and the museums. robinsons, a large mall. has a supermarket to make it easy to shop for things to cook. i prefer to do as restaurants in manila can be a bit hit and miss. the stove and oven make this possible. the included breakfast is decent enough (was omelet and ham and roll this time).

Exceptional”
Great location in Ermita for everything the area has to offer, very close to American Embassy should you have an appointment there.. Big suite room with cooking facilities and en suite bathroom, large queen size bed, partial view of the bay, friendly staff, not too expensive.

Nice stay”
I stayed here for 4 nights recently and was quite pleased compared to other hotels in the ermita/malate area. This is only 1 block from the L.A. Cafe/bars nightlife area but since it is on roxas blvd you overlook the bay which gives it a wholesome feel; for me a good combination. The rooom was clean, the kitchen had oven and 2 burner; and, the agoda price did make it a good deal compared to some matchboxes I'd stayed in close by. The staff was a little frustrating to deal with at first since they told us to wait for our room is ready but then didnt tell us when it was so we needlessly waited a long time; but, they did help us out later with some stuff. You can find cheaper places in ermita but if you want some ammenities for your buck this is good.

Comfortable rooms; nice location; great value”
We've stayed here several times. It's a good place to stay in Manila if you are looking to stay in the Ermita/Malate area. The reason we usually stay here is they have a kitchen with a range and oven. The food options in Manila can be a bit lacking; so, it's nice to be able to go to the market, get a fresh fish, and cook it for dinner. It's not as posh as some of the other hotels in the area, but it is still very clean, the internet works well, and the staff is friendly. Overall, it's a good value.

View on Manila Bay”
Boulevard Mansion Hotel is located in Ermita at Roxas Boulevard. What I liked most was the view over Manila bay. The studio style rooms accomodate easily more than 2 people, has wooden flooring and all essentials for staying overnight. Considering the low price this is a very good deal. Next to the hotel entrance is a Chinese style seafood restaurant that also serves Philippine breakfast. And in 10min walking distance are restaurants like the Aristocrat. I would recommend anybody who looks for a low cost and decent accomodatation. There is even a fully equipped kitchen.

Comfortable”
Stayed at the top of the line Corner Suite which had a magnificent view of Manila bay with a shipwreck and all of its floating plastic following a rainstorm. Pros: Room very clean and comfortable and well appointed. Nice parquet floor gave an old world feel. Towels and linens in good shape. A split aircon would have been nicer than the window model. Excellent front desk and room attendant staff. Hotel under reno. GF. Cons: The breakfast. Skip it. Pretend it doesn't exist and eat out. Mine was presented so cold I worried about food safety and didn't eat. Noisy - even on the 14th floor, lots of road noise from Roxas Blvd. Bring earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

best studio standard room ever!”
i will definitely return to this hotel again. cafe just around the corner. thrifty store about a minute or two from the hotel. mall is about a 5-minute walk from the hotel. i felt very safe and non-threatening as i came and went each day. staff (security, concierge, front desk, and housekeeping) were very welcoming and courteous from the moment i arrived till the moment i departed. close to the u.s. embassy, harbor view restaurant, ocean park, robinson's mall, manila bay cafe, 7-eleven, and a 10-minute taxi ride to the seaside macapagal.

nice hotel; nice location”
i have stayed here many times. it is a very accessible hotel in manila to malate, intramuros, robinson's mall, and relatvely close to the airport. the neighborhood can be a little shadey at night, but this is common to most of manila. i usually stay here with my girlfriend as we enjoy to cook our own dinner. i recommend this to any type of traveller really. get a view of the bay on a high floor -- it's quite charming.

Older hotel but great location and good price”
I like this location. Right on Manila Bay with a lot of restaraunts, bars, anything you could need all around you. Also walking distance to Robinson Mall which includes a Fitness First gym which I always workout at. The rooms are big. Even the standard room has a seperate bedroom, living room, dining room and kitchen. Just dont expect anything extravagant. The hotel is old and the rooms are not so well kept. If you like staying in 4-5 star hotels, you may find Boulevard Mansion to be below your standard. For me, its perfect whenever I come to Manila.

Nice rooms, central location”
I've stayed here twice. The first time was in a corner suite with a balcony view of Manila Bay over Roxas Boulevard. The second was a one bedroom suite with no balcony or view. the former was the best. The lobby and corridors aren't especially inviting and check in is a little slow, but the rooms are good and the staff friendly and pretty efficient. There are cheaper apartrment hotels closer to good shopping, but for a view of the bay, it's good. The location is good for nightlife, there are convenince stores really near, the Philippine's best money changers nearby and Robinson's mall isn't far away. Bit seedy are though.

Good Location, great Japanese food”
The staff was excellent, service with a smile. I also enjoyed the location, close to great shopping, and Ermita nite life. I stayed on the 12th floor and had a great view of Manila bay. All the sail boats on Sunday afternoon was wonderful to watch. Although I didn't do any cooking in my room, I could have the kitchen was well stocked with untensils dishes etc.

Money-friendly Mansion”
My 5-month old son had a sound sleep during our stay at the hotel. I and my sister didn't sleep. We enjoyed the cable tv. We had questions in our mind how much is the cost of the room per day since it was my husband who paid for our stay online (hes in America). i can say is cheap compared to our hotels here in Gen San. I had been to different hotels here in Gen Santos City and the one we got for the same price is not as nice and convenient as the room we had at the Mansion.Indeed, i love staying in your hotel and it will always be my hotel everytime i will be in Manila.

nice hotel”
Check in was quick, Front office staff very efficient Bell service very good. Room was a dissappointment, very poor maintenance both engineering and housekeeping, the wires bedind the bedside table are definitely an eyesore if not fire hazzard, well nothing untoward happen, but the last string was the towels, really old stained towels were set in the rooms, I wonder if the HK supervisor of the Hotel Housekeeper had a change to see these items and if they expect the paying guest to use them, really felt short changed. i called the housekeeping, they seemed not being able to help and it looks like this are the only type of towels they have... Breakfast was so so, maybe because they are busy....but its chaotic, and nobody seems to be on top of anything, we came some one took our room number and we were left to see if we will sit on a dirty table or fight to get one. i can see a very undermanned, untrained batch of young crew who were not being directed. Check out was smooth...transport assistance well handled. I just hope someone in the hotel see from the guest point of view what product is being offered by the hotel...this building was once a towering glory of quality hospitality service in Manila......
