Cute Guest House And Freindly owner”

Our stay P.U GuestHouse was a pleasant one. Our room was nice, clean and quiet. The owner was really friendly and helpful. They also serve food that was good and eveything is reasonably priced.

Good quality for the price, a safe bet in Ayuthaya”

I moved to P.U Guesthouse on Ayutthaya island after I had to leave Baan Are Gong Gueshouse (all rooms were booked), which was just across the Train Station, and on the other side of the river. The P.U. Guesthouse was okay, the rooms were clean although they could be freshened up. The boat tour which was proposed by the owner was worth it, and it was cheap (You can negotiate for 140-150 bahts.) The owner speaks good english and is very nice, although she was a little pushy trying to sell tours, foot massages, and the such. Nothing too agressive, and she would leave you alone if you make yourself clear, but some might feel a little uncomfortable. I wish they had internet available in the rooms, but that was not the case, only in the lobby. All in all, this is a good guesthouse in Ayutthaya, but I'd say that the Baan Are Gong is a better place for the price, and has a really nice bar/restaurant overlooking the river.

Basic but good location.”

Our stay at the P.U. Guesthouse was average, the lady that greeted us was lovely and spoke very good English, the room was pretty old and basic, the WiFi was pretty good and the pool was great to cool off in after a long day. We did not try any food there but there are a few good restaurants just around the corner which were yummy and cheap. The one great thing about this place is the location, you can rent a bike from them for 50 baht a day and you just follow the bicycle track that takes you around the temples of Ayutthaya. Overall it is an average hotel but is good value for money.

Lovely hotel that I'd be happy to go back to”

p.u. guesthouse was a place i quite enjoyed staying at. just off the main road which made a quieter place to stay while still being close to everything it was a nice location which looked after its guests. the only real complaint i could have was that it was a bit expensive, however i was there during thai new year and they up the prices around that time. apart from that a very pleasant stay.

clean quite and good location”

My stay was really good. I do not understand why some travelerd give a bad review. This is a guesthouse what did they expect ? A 5 star hotel ? And they have a big swimming pool compared to Tony's Place. The staff were efficient and reactive. I will go back for sure

Great location, good value”

good location for exploring ayyathuya. large rooms, much better than expected. ( as with most guesthouses in thailand - slight sewage smell after using shower). but for a guesthouse this was smart - clean bedding, plasma tv and clean. i would recommend this if staying in ayyathuya. btw they also do a 2 hour boat tour for 150baht - i would recommend this. relaxing tour around the river stopping off at temples.

Good value guesthouse with excellent service”

We found this guesthouse very comfortable,clean,well presented and quiet(we had a double room with fridge,tv and window.) It is in a dead end side street but close to other guesthouses and restaurants.The owner and her family were very friendly and made it easy to book bikes, boat trips and transport to other towns.Other staff were helpful and friendly.

Great place for a simple room and good price”

The room was clean, shower had hot water, fan worked fine. For a basic room, this is very nice. Lockers are also available for use and bikes can be rented for the day. Highly recommend is in Ayutthaya.

Lost Shoes!”

Overall nice place”

Overall this is a nice guesthouse. The room was in good condition and the bathroom had good water pressure. I didn't try their food so I don't know whether it is value for money or not. However, their tours definitely have a serious profit margin for the owners so I would recommend booking your tour elsewhere if you plan on doing the 3 Temple river trip and probably the others as well. It was a quiet location and guesthouse which I appreciated, the internet quality was medium during my stay.

Not bad value for money”

We stayed here for two nights and it was quite good but i would not recommend to stay for a longer periods. The pool was the best thing there even it was near another building (P.U. Inn) which belongs to the same owner. So you can have a room right next to the pool, but it is a bit more expensive. Staff was pleasant but not too much caring about the guests.

Good value, great location”

I was very impressed with this hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, although did go a bit over the top trying to sell their tours. They helped us rent bikes, although this would be easy enough to do without their help. The rooms were a decent size, my double room had a single and a double bed with a sofa. The shower broke, but they came up immediately to fix it. Its on a quiet side street so you don't get disturbed by noise from the traffic or bars, but it is very safe.

great value for little money”

I had a gread stay. The guesthouse is located in the center and all the sightseeing-spots are easy accessable.

Incredibly unprofessional”

On arrival at the guesthouse there was initially nobody to greet us. After some shouting in Thai by a lady who appeared from the back a lady arrived, checked our agoda reservation and showed us to our room. Later that night around 9pm there was a very aggressive knock on our door. The owner was standing there very aggressively telling us that she did not have our reservation, who were we, and she didn't have any room at her hotel for us. We had to show her our reservation again. She did have a pen and paper to write down the details so asked us for some, I had a pen but no paper so she wrote it on a piece of cardboard she found in the hall. She told us that she had a couple downstairs now she had no room for. There was no apology from the owner to us for our interruption. There were only two sockets in the room taken up by the tv and the fridge so no way to charge phones etc when watching tv and using the fridge. The electricity went off when you left the room and the fridge was connected to this line so it was not possible to use the fridge for anything perishable anyway. The window in the bathroom was an open style window which could not be closed. We never saw anybody at reception. We were not approached to be offered to have our room cleaned in the four nights we stayed and we couldn't find anybody to ask. The restaurant was deserted in the evening. Breakfast was served with a grunt. I have never felt so unwelcome in a hotel and I could not possibly recommend this hotel to anyone. There is a second P.U. Inn at the end of the road.

the staff was nice but the owner was disrespectful”

The good, the bad and the ugly. This is a nice hotel but, I will never stay here again! The staff was helpful and very nice and the rooms are modern and confortible. But, the towels stink and I found bugs in the bathroom. I have stayed in this hotel before, even though my friend how lives hear, told me she does not feel totally confortible with this place. The owner seemed very frendly and I thought she was respectful until, my friend told me she heard her speaking disrespectfully about guest on the phone. At breakfast she was friendly and I told her I would write her a review and she was pleased.

Ok for a short stay . wireless wasn't working well”

We staied in this hostel for just one night. It's an average place with clean rooms and lot of space. We didn't speak alot with the owners, but they looked like they didn't care much about the customers,at list not as much as other place where we stayed in thailand; but that's an impression,and we stayed just one day. They have bike to rent, but i suggest you to rent it somewere else if you have time,since they are really old and the price is almost the same as a new one in a rent shop! They have also wifi connection, but it wasn't working when we checked in. And in the rooms upstair there is no signal.

Very welcoming guest house”

we were extremly welcomed in pu guest house. for exemple, each time we had a meal at pu restaurant, the cook worried if we liked the meal she fixed, came to our table and kindly asked us... it's a family businnes. the ambiance is very relax and simple. pu guest house is 5 min by foot from the bus stop (old-new city).rooms are not big, but that's just what we need, and clean.

Good for a short stay”

It is fine. The air conditioning is good, and the showers are nice and cold after a hot day outside. It is close to lots of bars and restaurants. Some rooms can have free swimming (we didn't try the pool), others have to pay an additional 100B. Staff are quite nice and helpful.
