Fine place if you need to stay close to airport”

I needed a place to stay the night in between my flights. I arrived at nearly midnight to Bangkok and needed to return to the airport for an 8:30 AM flight the following day. The Convenient Resort was waiting for me outside gate number 2 and it was less than 10 minutes to the hotel. The rooms are decent, clean, and spacious. In the morning shuttles to the airport depart hourly. The price of an airport transfer is 150 baht. Both my airport transfers were included in the Agoda package, which was quite helpful. The price of the hotel room was cheaper through Agoda than booking directly from The Convenient Resort.

it's "convenient", alright”

Clean, friendly, very near Suvarnabhumi arrivals and departures (5-10 minutes), and spending a night there before an early AM flight from BKK costs little more than a taxi ride alone through nightmare traffic from central BKK, if you otherwise stayed in town. Handy if you're only transiting through BKK, and especially so if you arrived at Don Meuang (out in the north 'burbs of Bangkok city, not the "downtown airport" as the AirAsia billboards claim...NTTAWW AirAsia in general), while Suvarnabhumi is in the far southern exurbs) on a cheap international or a low-end domestic airline. In which case take the free AoT Don Meuang/Suvarnabhumi shuttle (you'll need to show evidence of the outbound booking from BKK), and on telephoning the desk a Convenient Resort van will speedily pick you up at Suvarnabhumi and then deliver you there again the next day (within the terms of your booking). On-site restaurant expensive and not very jumping place, but several inexpensive but good eating places within a 1 km or so walk. Likewise some temples and a generally interesting landscape of industrializing wetlands. Can take a cheap local passenger truck in the main road (c. 300m. from hotel) to Lat Krabang Airport Express train stop if you want/need to get int the central city, but downtown is quite far and not completely practical unless you have nearly 24 hrs between incoming and outgoing flight legs

Excellent for the price and location”

this was my 22nd trip to the land of smiles and i always choose my accomodations carefully. this time my incoming flight landed at midnight and my next flight to udon thani was leaving at 7am. i chose convenient resort primarily because its location to the airport and took all the reviews into consideration. the hotel shuttle from the airport was waiting for customers when we arrived and after a short wait for additional people the staff loaded our luggage and we proceeded to the hotel. do not worry about the area that the hotel is located, yes 2 of the young boarders in the van with us voiced conncern in thai. but upon arrival i was pleasantly surprised. for the price and convenience it was exactly what we were looking for. it took about 10 minutes to arrive and we were checked into our room in minutes. the staff offered a wake up call and asked what time we were leaving. a shuttle to the airport left every hour. promptly 30 minutes before our departure the staff called. we left promptly on time and the driver unloaded our luggage so we could make our connecting flight to see our family. the hotel recongnizes their clients, transfer customers, and meets their needs for passengers waiting for connecting flights with friendly service. the room was sparse, but clean with a hot shower. if we were not there between 1am and 5am we would have loved to have sampled the modest bar and dining. i highly recommend this hotel for all your transfer needs!

Airport Convenience”

Arriving at the airport to find the Convenient resort representative can be a drag, but when found service begins and once in the hotel things are fine. Breakfast is simple but good too, self service. Rooms are rather big and have a large balcony with a view on the airport and on the access road. Friendly personnel and knowledgeable with internet access too. On the minus is that Convenient resort is a bit away from the road and due to construction on both sides of the road not too easy a walk. Though the city link station is nearby it is not easy to get to due to the sois and subsois. However, we walked but almost got lost and were brought to the station by a song thaew, a public taxi. Overall convenient indeed if onoy limited time is available in Bangkok but not so convenient for a longer stay. Still we would like to give it high marks.

Friendly, helpful staff”

The staff were very eager to please and very helpful. I had forgotten where to meet the shuttle, but both the Convenient Resort and even greeters from other hotels helped steer me to the right exit. The room was simple but clean and very adequate. It was a great place to spend a quick layover night, between arrival and departure from Suvarnabhumi airport.

Wonderful choice for early morning flight”

The Bangkok city center is very far from the airport so we booked this place for our last night. The rate is very low including very convenient airport transfers starting at 2:30am. The room that we had was extremely clean and spacious. The sink was slightly loose from the wall, but for Bangkok this room was extreme luxury for the price. The restaurant is fare, but for an airport hotel it had many different types of food at a good price. Most importantly the room was nearly silent even with the constant passing of large jet liners! We were able to get a great nights sleep. Perhaps they have improved since previous reviews, but we had pretty low expectations and were pleasantly surprised by the price, size of the room where everything worked perfectly, and the quick courteous hotel shuttle. Definitely recommend as a pre-flight base camp!

Simple and clean hotel near the airport”

Convenient Resort is not a resort, but it is by far the most convenient hotel to the BKK airport, except, of course, the unaffordable (for many travelers) Novotel. I reserved by email the shuttle service, and a representative was waiting at the pre-arranged meeting place with a sign with my name on it and the name of the hotel. The shuttle took ten minutes. Check in took less than five minutes. It's a small hotel with no elevator, but if I had had luggage, the staff would have taken it upstairs for me (a small tip would be appreciated). The room was simple, with TV, AC, two free bottles of water in the mini-fridge, large queen size bed, and en suite bathroom. It was clean, maybe just a little worn around the edges. The staff was very friendly. I have already booked again for a future stay: at US$19, it's cheaper to stay here and take the bus the next morning to Pattaya, than it is to pay for the taxi. Besides, why not be in bed sleeping two hours earlier?

Great Location for the Airport”

this was about my 6th stay at the convenient resort and i am pleased to be able to say their standards have not dropped. the rooms were very clean and comfortable, the price excellent for an hotel so close to the airport. transfer to airport was punctual. restaurant service good and fast. for an overnight stop before flying early in the morning it is a lot more convenient than going into bangkok centre and having the worry of traffic delays to get back to the airport.

Stayed in Convenient Resort twice. Their staff at the airport met me easily. Good location with view of the airport. Warm reception. Amiable staff. Spacious rooms. Air-conditioned -- a must in Bangkok! Soft bed. Hot shower. Very clean building. Efficient airport transfers. Convenient resort lives up to its name by offering a hassle-free stay for transient passengers staying overnight.

I just did my 5th overnight at Convenient Resort (CR) and was happy to see that not much had changed from prior stays. I like the shuttle service that can get me to the airport at 4:30 a.m. to make my 6:30 a.m. flight to Bangkok. Despite some language limitations, the staff is friendly and helpful. There is a small,open-air restaurant on the premises with basic but tasty food at reasonable prices. If you just need a room overnight before catching a plane, I highly recommend CR.

Nice Rooms, Free WiFi and RT Transfer - Convenient”

the staff at the convenient resort, from the shuttle drivers, to the bell hops, and the pretty girls at the desk, are all very nice and helpful. i always stay at this hotel when coming/going from bangkok due to the late flights in/out of suvarn and the close proximity of the hotel with free transfers to/from the airport. for the price, you can't beat it. thanks to the nice ladies at the front desk: pretty and professional!

Would stay there again to be close to BKK”

We stayed at this hotel for one night in February and it wasn't that great, but they have improved on a lot of things since then and the value is great now. They now give free pick up and drop off which is great. We had a $10 coupon through Agoda, so one night only cost us $14 which is a steal. This is a great hotel to stay at if you have very little time in Bangkok and you want to be near the Intl airport. We only had a 10 hour layover over night, so we didn't need to be in the city. If you have a lot of time in Bangkok then this isn't a good place to be in the action, since it is only 5 minutes from the airport and pretty far from downtown. Next time we have a layover in Bangkok we will stay here again. The rooms were clean, the water was nice and hot, the wifi is only 100baht for 24 hours, and the airport shuttle is prompt...very good service for the price.

Convenient Resort nr Airport Bangkok”

Convenient Resort surprised me by being in the middle of nowhere i.e. along a track lined with banana trees and scrubland and away from the main road. It was great for an ovenight stop in the middle of a journey when we just had a few hours to see the main sights of Bangkok. I wouldn't choose it if I had more than a day to see Bangkok -better to stay nearer the centre. It would probably have been difficult to work out public transport into the city, which is at least 40 minutes away. But the receptionist was very helpful in suggesting we took a taxi (driver was waiting outside for customers) and the driver stayed to take us between places and bring us back in the evening (for 2000 baht - and it would have been 1000 just to take us in). He really tried to be helpful but, owing to language problems, we didn't quite sort out with him where we wanted to go and he didn't know the way so we spent a lot of time driving round. Not the hotel's fault but, if you do this, make sure you get the instructions clear via the receptionist first! Decided not to have breakfast at the hotel and made a 10 minute walk to the 7/11 shop out on the road to buy drink and rolls.

a hotel representative met me at the designated location in the airport departure lobby and provided complimentary transfer service to the hotel located just five minutes away. the a/ced rooms each with a private bathroom / shower are basic, but clean and comfortable - a great option for transiting through bangkok to / from other destinations in thailand. i have used the convenient resort hotel accommodations several times before and will return again when connecting through bangkok.

Very Convenient”

The Convenient Resort is an excellent choice for any traveler who needs to stay close to the airport. I had an early flight requiring a 6am check-in so this hotel was perfect. There was a no-hassle pick up service from the airport arrivals meeting point, where a visible staff member has a list of all guests booked for that day, so you don't even need to tell them your arrival details in advance. They will be waiting for you. The hotel is clean and the staff very friendly and helpful and my standard room was very big with TV, fridge & airconditioner, plus the massage in my room was great. The restaurant is good without being flash and is staffed by friendly people, and the meals were basic but good. It was no problem having a hearty breakfast at 5am ahead of a day of traveling.

Reasonable and convenient transit hotel.”

In the last 2 or 3 years, when transiting through Bangkok’s Suvarnabhumi airport, I would stay at one of the reasonably priced hotels in the vicinity. On my last visit to Thailand I decided to try the “Convenient Resort” hotel and my stay included Superior room, Breakfast, 24-hour Shuttle Service and a Wake up call. The name is some what misleading as it is definitely not a resort, except for the massage spa near the lobby. It is a convenient transit hotel, only 12 minutes from the airport. The 24 hour shuttle to and from the airport was friendly, efficient and punctual. My air-conditioned room was clean but could use up dating. There was no mini bar, except for two free water bottles in the small fridge. The hotel offered free WiFi, but I did not try this free service. A few shops and small eateries are a twenty minute walk of the grounds on the main road, including a 7/11 convenience store. This hotel featured an un-kept restaurant at an equally un-kept patio area, which offered food, beer and cigarettes at much higher prices then at the other hotels I have stayed. Overall, not bad, considering the reasonable price offered through Agoda.

My stay at this resort hotel is not the first time I have stayed there.I found it by accident and thought to try it as was close to airport .It is a quiet hotel set back from the main road I have stayed in many cheap places but this is very clean,not smelling of smoke like many,there is onsite restaurant with breakfast included in the room price all you can eat,include american ,between5a.m./10a.m best to eat early as only warm if you are late.If you want cheap drinks you can walk 5minutes to main road and go left to 7/11shop easy stroll and no risk everyone is friendly.The staff are very friendly just ask and they will do all to help you,I needed haircut one boy took me to barber on motorbike and waited till i finished and returned me to hotel ,100bt tip and we were all happy.Free transfer inclusive to and from airport was good .To go into city is a long way about 40 minutes by taxi to On Nut sky train,but this train will soon be going to the airport as it is just in the test stage now,so will make this hotel very well placed .If you need a bed before you travel home I would recommend this highly,After this review I hope the rates do not rise but it is good value.Peter

Good value”

I was very impressed with the Convenient Resort for the price. Checkin was a breeze. I got ripped off on a cab to the airport (hot meter, meaning it was clicking over much faster than usual, but I didn't know as I was new to BKK), but my experience at the hotel was great. The room was enormous compared to the fancier places I moved on to in Central BKK. The night staff were very helpful and one of the bell boys even took me to 7-11 on his bike at 2 am, which was really cool of him. The bed and room were very clean (8.5/10), the balcony was great and I never waited more than 5-10 minutes for a taxi. The handle on the faucet did fall off repeatedly and I never got the TV working, but I wasn't in Bangkok to watch TV anyway! There was a passive-aggressive woman at the front desk during the day who I wasn't particularly fond of, but hey, it happens. Everyone else was pretty cool. I get the feeling they've dealt with a lot of difficult guests, so I guess they have learned to get defensive. The hotel is a little out of the way, but with the amount you'll save on the room, cabbing it to the BTS or taking the train from the airport after taking a free shuttle to Suvarnabhumi make it well worth it in my book. I would definitely stay there again, but I think Bangkok has a lot of great places in the budget accomodation range, especially outside Central BKK. There is no elevator, so if you can't walk up several flights of stairs, this is not the place for you, although I'm sure you could be carried up and down the stairs for a price if you really wanted to stay here... I did not eat at the hotel, so I cannot comment on the food, but the area has fewer dining options than Central BKK for sure. I am very comfortable eating on the street in Bangkok, however, and if you are too then there is always something delicious to be found around the corner!

Very nice hotel, big rooms, and close to airport”

We stayed here for one night before we left bangkok because we wanted to be close to the airport to catch our super early morning flight. The hotel offered free transportation to the airport which was great! it only took about five minutes to get from the hotel to the airport. The hotel itself was very clean and the rooms were very big! Our room had a balcony, complimentary water, and a fridge. The air conditioner worked great, and the tv had a lot of english channels which was nice. The people were very friendly. There was a resturant and bar outside the hotel, but the food was expensive compared to the food prices in the khao san area. This hotel is perfect if you need to be close to the airport or have a layover in bangkok for a night... and you can't bet the price at this hotel!

Pleasant Stay; Close to Airport”

Had an overnight connection in Bangkok between Hong Kong and Chiang Mai with flight arrival at just before midnight. Had emailed ahead to let The Convenient Resort know we would need to use the hotel's free shuttle service and their contact was right where the said he would be. Were to the hotel and checked-in within 20 minutes of meeting our contact at the airport. Bed was firm but comfortable. Breakfast was served from 6-10 a.m. outdoors in a lovely thatched-roof garden nook. Nothing fancy, but good. Definitely not a four- or five-star hotel, but for the VERY reasonable price we paid, it was perfect. DO use their free airport shuttle service as I'm not sure that a taxi would be able to find it despite its closeness to the airport.
