2 day stay in Bangkok”

We had a short stay at the curiously named "Grand Mercure Bangkok Fortune" and had a great time. It is located very close to a metro station which connected easily to the international airport line. Rooms were as you would expect from a good 4 star hotel. I did think there was a lot of traffic noise on the first night, but it turns out that the window was slightly ajar (I didn't expect them to open). Staff were friendly, efficient and helpful. I thought I had ordered breakfast included in the deal but that wasn't the case. What is a filter button on the iPad Agoda app (to include only reservations with breakfast only) looks like it is saying that breakfast is included in the top room selection. Hope that's helpful.

Grand Mercure Fortune, Bangkok”

I spent one week in the Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel and was very happy with every aspect of my stay. The central location of the hotel very near an underground station makes it very convenient. The staff were very helpful, pleasant and efficient, the room was comfortable and the breakfast buffet was excellent. I enjoyed using the swimming pool.

A Good Value for Money Hotel”

this is my fourth stay at this hotel. the upside is it is reasonably close to central bangkok. the downside can be a long trip from the airport in peak hour (this time it was 90 minutes in grid-locked traffic.) one of the included features is free wifi in your room. don't expect too much. for emails it is generally ok but web delivery is painful, if it works. i found it somewhat more efficient in the hotel lobby. the lobby is being remodeled and that is a good thing as it becomes overcrowded at reception particularly if a group is checking in. but that problem is being remedied. the hotel opens into the fortune mall where there are ample coffee and fast food outlets of both asian and western varieties (kfc, mcdonalds, etc). the good part is you can access these without going outside. there are also a number of atm's in the fortune mall which is being redeveloped into an it mall.

Great stay!”

I am very happy with the stay at Hotel Mercure Bangkok! There are many shops(IT, food & breverges etc) linked to the hotel. The underground train is just in front of the hotel and traveling to other popular Bangkok locations is so simple! There are also some nightspots nearby if some relaxation is needed..This is a good place to stay if you go to Bangkok.

For a 2-3 days stay for business trip, i think Grand Mercure Fortune Bangkok Hotel serve its good point from good rates to good location with easy access to train station and mall. Further to that, the hotel staffs was friendly and helpful to me when i ask for iron, direction etc.

Expensive Hotel”

I have stayed at Fortune Mercure many times before, and it is a good hotel in many ways, but during my recent stay, I was disappointed by the high price charged for basic items - e.g. a small coffee late was 170 Baht, and the price of a small bottle of local beer from the mini-bar was several times its retail cost. Why do hotels think it is acceptable to charge a high price for a room and then mark up the price of refreshments by so much, when all they have had to do is transport the bottle from a supplier to the room. I will not be staying there in the future owing to the high cost of the rooms, the high cost of sundries and the fact that for the same charge I can stay somewhere nearby with better facilities that offers better value for money. Front desk staff need to be more helpful and polite.

Good location and friendly service”

I used to stay in this hotel when they are still under the name of Fortune. The reason i choose this hotel is because of the location. You can easily find lots of restaurant or shopping area in Ratchada. This hotel attached to a Mall so you won't have problem looking for food too. MRT station is just outside the hotel with 2 minutes walk, you can easily connect to wherever you wanna go in Bangkok. Room is a bit old but well maintained. The praise goes to the friendly staffs!

Short stay 3 days at Mercure Fortune Hotel”

We checked in for the first room at lunchtime and the second late in the evening. The staff were more than helpful with our special requests and were very polite and courteous. I found that the general position of the hotel was great if we needed to jump in a taxi or get on the MRT train which has a station right outside the hotel entrance, also you are next door to the Fortune shopping complex which I loved and only 5 mins walk from Esplanade, Jusco and Robinsons. A great reasonably priced hotel close to all important amenities.

Convenient and pleasant hotel”

Staying at the Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel was a very pleasant experience. The room was good, clean and spacious. The hotel is near to several malls and close to several other big hotels. Access to other parts of Bangkok was quite easy and fast. There is an underground train station just in front of the hotel that is great for fast and easy connections to other trains. The airport was also a convenient distance away. It will be worthwhile to return to stay in this hotel.

Lovely hotel and service with a smile”

It was nice to stay in Grand Mercure Bangkok. The room is big an clean, good service, near to the IT Mall and MRT station just beside the Hotel. But maybe the Hotel could be improve by giving WIFI access in each room/in the lobby. Also for Agoda it will be better if could offer Hotel voucher with breakfast inside because the breakfast in the Hotel is very vary and delicious.

The Grand Mercure Fortune Hotel is good for business stay and travel stay. The building quite old but interior look new especially non smoking room on west side look very nice.

great location”

the hotel was wonderful wished we had picked it first. we stayed down the road a bit and then located the mercure. We had curfew so the mercure was a great find since it was attached to a mall, that allowed us to roam a bit.On our return trip will deffinetly stay again at the mercure hotel. great pool area,lobby, and refreshing staff.

good 4 stars hotel near mrt and shopping malls”

this 4 stars hotel is clean, has big rooms, good breakfast and a great service. the most positive aspect is surely the position: it's just next to mrt, fortune it mall and the new central grand rama9. sukhumvit is just a few mrt stations far away.

This review is an add-on to an extra day at same hotel and the needed extension was made with no problems and at the same very reasonable price for the facility rate except, next time, I might pay for the breakfast included but didn't this time not knowing how often we would use it. All in all, I would be pleased to stay there anytime I was in Bangkok for convenience as welll as facilities.

I Would Stay There Again”

The Grand Mercure is a fine hotel and my stay there was a pleasant. The interior is showing its age, mainly in design but it's well kept. The attached shopping mall is especially old fashioned, narrow hallways with stores that gives an unpleasant enclosed feeling and is not very attractive. Staff was excellent, some of the best I've ever encountered. Nice place to spend a weekend. Most comfortable bed I ever recall sleeping in, but the room and it's furnishings were clean but old and well used. Internet availability was mentioned in advance, but not the 600 baht (20 usd) a day fee which was so excessive as to be infuriating.

My "Go To" place for Bangkok!”

I travel to Bangkok several times a year and this is an amazing hotel with staff that takes care of you like family. It happened to be my birthday on this last trip and they bent over backwards to make me feel special. I had several business meetings and they were quick to accommodate my business partners and myself. It is right on the underground so very easy to get around and if shopping is your thing... WOW... two huge malls! The rooms are a good size and very nicely appointed. The gym is great and a nice pool area with a comfy bar. They also feature a tremendous spa. We had the Premier treatment with breakfast included... amazing choices for your breakfast tastes. This also included 5:30 to 7:30 PM happy hour with great food and all your drinks included. I like this especially for the wine which is hard to find in Bangkok. I can not wait to see you all very soon!

Nice and clean”

The hotel is lcoated next to the IT Fortune Mall. Great shopping for IT greeks. There are alos numerous resturant connected inside the mall. The MTR is right outside the hotel. It is convinient to go anywhere in Bangkok from this hotel.

Relaxing Two days”

We enjoy staying at the Grand Mecure Fortune Hotel in Bangkok because staff are generally friendly, they try to accommodate our needs and are willing to seek to rectify any problems. The buffet breakfast is a good variety. The location - beside Fortune Mall and near the BTS station, and ease of access to the airport are very positive features for us because we are usually on business trips takign rest for a few days.
