Was well worth the stay. Pool was amazing, spa/sauna/jacuzzi and gym is perfect. There's a few restaurants in the hotel so there are a few options. Staff are really friendly. Breakfast was so delicious (did I mention it was buffet) so there is a lot of variety!!! Under the hotel there's a market place if you feel like MBK is a bit of a way to shop. It's close to khaosan rd as well. Probably best to get a tuk tuk as we found the taxi was a rip off and they take you on the longest route. The cleaners too were amazing . Always replacing our towels and refilling our water ! Probably the most friendly and awesome place to stay in! I would stay there again!!

If you've ever been to Bangkok, particuarly near Khaosan Road - you'll know it's predominantly geared towards backpackers and hostels with vacancies on almost every street corner. If you can afford to dig a little deeper in your pockets, treat yourself to some time at CASA Vimaya Riverside. A newly established hotel in the heart of Khaosan - it's a great position and within very easy walking distance to Khaosan road, food, Chao Praya River and pretty much anything else you'd want to do in this area. The facilities are what you would expect from your typical city-based hotel. Clean, reasonable sized rooms with a rooftop pool, somewhat different from your typical beach-resorts you'd find in Thailand but still very comfortable. I only have 2 negative comments regarding my stay, one of which would be the drunken foreigners coming down the hallways in the early hours of the morning, and the second would be that the room I received was not as pictured when making the booking.

We stayed at this hotel for 6 nights and were very happy with our choice. It is located very close to Khaosan Road (5 min walk) in a side street, so there's not a lot of traffic noise and there's even some street food and a lovely cafe right across the street, where you can even choose to spend an evening playing cards and watching children play in the street. The streets around Khaosan Road are also OK for going out, if you don't mind the traveller scene. If you want to do a lot of shopping or going out around Sukhumvit Road, you would be happier with a hotel nearer to Siam Square, because from this part of town the taxi takes an hour to get there. But it's very close to the pier (5 min walk) and you can take the Chao Praya River Express to the temples and the Palace (be careful to get off really quickly or you will miss your stop!). The hotel provides very good service throughout, a reasonable breakfast buffet and a very nice and helpful team of tour guides to organize trips in or around the city. The rooms are tastefully decorated and clean, the beds are reasonably comfortable for Thai beds (which are always on the hard side). So overall I must say we were very happy with our choice and we can recommend it without reservations.

i booked 2 rooms for four people. the hotel is quite big, the rates are very cheap considering the location, cleanliness, service. Near the tourist spot, Khaosan Road, you can almost find anything here you need. There are money changers, local foods, grocery stores, travel and tour guides, Banks, bars, souvenirs, transportation (piers, tuktuk, taxi meter, bus). We would love to come back here again. defenitely the most worth the price hotel in Khaosan.

The Royal Princess is located 30 minutes walking distance to Khaosan Rd. It is very modern and for the hotels that I've enjoyed in Bangkok it's by far the best. As soon as you enter the large lobby you realize that this place is going to be nice. The staff was extremely helpful organizing transportation and answering questions relating to Bangkok. The rooms are spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms are large and include a tub. I enjoyed the swimming pool with is its lounge chairs and covered day beds. For the price this place is such a bargain! We would definitely stay there again.

We loved Nanda Heritage! It was the end of our 3 week honeymoon. My husband and I stayed at 4-5 star hotels/resorts in Chiang Mai, Koh Samui and Koh Phangan. Nanda Heritage was our last stop and it was everything we needed! The staff were excellent! Really helpful and kind. The restaurant food was heavenly!! With a really great happy hour. The rooms are large, good bathroom, decent shower, great working air con but the air con was quite loud. If you were a light sleeper I think it would be a problem. Comfortable beds and pillows. Our room was on the main road but didn't hear any traffic. Breakfast had a variety of Western and Eastern meals with all the basics - toast, jam, cereal, fruit, yogurt, tea, coffee and juice. Location was great for us. We walked along the canal to Khaosan Rd. There are loads of restaurants hidden close by. Some fine dining, others cheaper and loads of local eats. Nanda Heritage provided everything we needed and lots more.

Customer service @ lobby busy & efficient. House keeping & room service excellent. Location very accessible to the river transport system, 20 minutes walk to the pier Phra Arthit, take the river boat (14bht) to Saphan Taksin BTS Stn and you will be connected to the whole of Bangkok's railway system. Wifi @ hotel excellent, must ask lobby staff for daily password. Room facilities excellent. Aircon (central) very cold. TV channels limited(30) need to be upgraded(variety). Khaosan/Grand Palace walking distance. Hotel/airport transportation, cheap/safe/reliable, bookings @ Khaosan area, ac minivans to DonMueng/Suvarnabhumi, (130/150bht). Security good,area safe. Enjoyable (6nites).

I have previously stayed at a different hotel on Rambuttri for my last 4 visit to Thailand and what a breathe of fresh air the Khaosan Palace was. Entering the hotel staff were friendly, helpful and smiling. After a days travelling having my bag taken up the room was fantastic. The room although small was beautifully decorated with fridge, flat screen tv etc. Swimming pool was great and open longer than other hotels i have stayed at in the area. The room although on Khaosan road was quiet, I didn't experience other noisy guests or the noise and music of Khaosan Road. I enjoyed the great location, great for visiting many of the sights. One of the river taxi stops is close by and a great way to avoid the traffic and access the skytrain. Staff offered advice freely and gave excellent instructions on how to the post office, i even saw the security man carrying the shopping of an older resident. I will definately be booking into the Khaosan Palace for my next trip to Thailand

The best hotel in Khaosan Road. It has almost everything you need, the room is very much comfortable, the view down the abbey is pretty interesting where you can just shop and drop. You will see the world from the hotel, shopping. Restaurants, transportations. Parks, view, bars and everything is in there. The swimming pool is awesome and loved it. Definitely it is an awesome place you would not wanna miss checking!

We were 5people who needed to sleep near the Grand Palace. Then I decided to booking this hotel because we needed also a hotel with a car park and this was the only one with all the characteristics we were looking for. When we arrived we had the unpleasant surprise that the "car park" is not actually a car park, but u can park your car by the road front of the hotel. Anyway we could park as we arrived without any problem. It'd been the only inconvenient. Then I could appreciate everything about the hotel. It's clean, comfortable, with a nice design, good breakfast, and the staff is kind and helpful. The price is a bit more expensive then others hotel in the area but I think is a good relation quality-price! It's close to Khaosan road, but far enough to be very quiet at night then I could sleep peacefully. If you aren't looking for a hotel with SPA or swimming pool and near Khaosan/Grand Palace this can be a perfect hotel for you.

Greeted at hotel reception with smile and check in staff extremely helpful. Given our early check out, they pointed out that we could grab something for breakfast (even though I didn't realise breakfast was included!!). Hotel reception highly clean and modern. Given our early check out we were informed that the reception was 24 hour so we would have no issue checking out. Room was spacious and modern. Better than expected from photos!! Bathroom was large and decorated in good taste. Used jacuzzi bath which was nice. Plenty of little extras like toothpaste, shower cap etc. bed was just as soft as bed back home!! This was an extremely pleasant surprise given some of the other beds we experienced in Thailand!! 5 minute walk from the chaos that is khaosan road!! Far enough not to hear any noise. The one large downside of the room was the noise of the air conditioning!! It was ridiculously loud and without it the room was a cooker!! Apart from that everything was great. Stayed in the Nuovo city hotel which is next door, and would definitely recommend Chillax over it. The lesser price certainly does not reflect the standard. All in all an extremely pleasant stay. Was disappointed we didn't have longer there. Even with all this, I do think that there is potentially better value for the price we paid. However, in the khaosan area, I very much doubt you will get better

the place is in the heart of khaosan road, and if you want to sleep is better to ask for a room on the back side. the rooms are really clean and the furniture is new and really beautiful. in the last floor there'a a swimming pool where's great to relax after a all-day-walking, and before a all-night in khaosan road. il posto si trova nel cuore di khaosan road, e se volete dormire, è meglio chiedere una stanza in cortile. le camere sono molto pulite e l'arredamento è nuovo e di buon gusto. nell'attico si trova una bella piscina dove rilassarsi dopo un giorno di camminata e prima di una lunga serata a khaosan road.

Khaosan Road is the backpacker's road in Bangkok. Rikka inn gets a little noisy at midnight, just a little music. Room service were good, however receptionist were double standard. One was welcoming and helpful whereas one couldn't bothered to help further. The hotel have a tailor shop by the name of milano tailors. The tailor was very friendly and provided good services, even mended my shorts button for me when i accidentally broke it. The hotel is one of the best i have stayed in Khaosan Road, I have stayed in two others.

I'm stayed here around 5 days and the hotel staff provided me a very good service and best memory. The staff here is super friendly and helpful. They give me a feel like back to home when the time I stayed there. Some more the staff will arranged the taxi for you to the airport without any additional charge. The breakfast here is very special and delicious (Local Thai Breakfast). The hotel environment is very relaxing and British Colombia feel. Hotel is very near Khaosan Road and can go there for night market shopping. Even go to city area also not that far.(By taxi roughly 10 to 15 min around 100 Thai bath). I will go back to stay if I travel to Bangkok again. Good Hotel, Good Service and Good Foods !!

Our stay at the New Siam Palace View was our second place we booked in Thailand. I'll will write all the details and our experience as best as possible. At arriving at the New Siam Palace View, we check-in at midday for our 3 night stay. The staff was very nice, friendly and very helpful. They ask for our passport to get a copy and 500 baht, a refundable amount. Just a security deposit in case the person breaks something or something is missing from the room. They gave us our passports back, the key to our room, a few vouchers for fruit shakes and two vouchers with the Wi-Fi information. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly. Never had a problem with it. We then went to our room and it was small, comfortable and the A/C took a few minutes to cool the room but after that it was very nice. The view from our balcony was, well, old buildings. No river view and the balcony was very small. We didn't care about that. The bathroom was basic but with everything we needed. It had a closet with a safe, tv, a small desk with mirror and a fridge with cold water bottles. After eating so much Thai food we decided to give a try to their breakfast and it did not disappoint at all. It was very good and their fruit shakes are good also. You can get a good breakfast at the lobby for 100 or 200 baht. For us, the location was excellent because it was very close the Khao San Road but really quiet. It was peaceful at night. You couldn't hear any noise from Khao San Road at all. So if you want a place to get a good night sleep but be near all the action this is the place. There is a shortcut to get to the Khao San Road from the hotel and while you are at it you will walk through local markets, stores and restaurants. The other reason we like this location was because it's close to all the temples, landmarks and touristic spots that are nearby so that's a big plus for us. It was a little hard finding this hotel because there are a lot of Buddy Hotels but once you find this gem, it's all worth it! Just tell the driver to bring you in Tom Yum Kung restaurant in Khaosan road-- the one at the back is Buddy Boutique inn. The hotel interiors are modern: bare grey walls with Thailand minimalist painting. You can smoke in your rooms if you wanted to. The rooms are coze and kinda big for the small price you pay. It's great value, I tell you. If we come back to Bangkok (and we're pretty sure we will), we'll book here again. Oh, there's free WIFI and boy, it's fast WIFI! It's close to everything-- the street action in Khaosan Road, the Grand Palace etc. It also has an awesome 7-11 store that's bigger than the other 7-11 stores around the area, selling yummy croissants in cheap prices. Everything in Bangkok is cheap and yummy!

I really recommend this guesthouse for clean room, calm location in a centre and friendly staff. + Not small, not too big, the space in a room is enough. + Clean room, they’re cleaning rooms every day + two bottles of water + Staff is friendly and helpful. Our wifi in 4th floor wasn’t working, so they reset it and it was ok. - Many times is wifi unstable for my boyfriend but for me it was okay, don’t know why. + Very good location - in a calm place, even the street is full of businessman with their shops..so kind of trap for tourists. First we wanted to try Yes Khaosan but I’m glad we chose this guesthouse. Yes Khaosan is in a wild street, music aloud, a lot of people. TIP: If you go straight from a guesthouse and turn to the left to a first street, there is laundry for 30 THB (2019)

We stayed here before an early morning flight the next day. Really good location, walking distance to ATM and 7-11. The hotel provides a free tuk-tuk to Khaosan, if you end up coming back after this service finishes it will still be very quick and cheap to get yourself back. Rooms are lovely with a balcony and very well decorated and maintained. Things like robe etc make you feel you are staying in a more expensive hotel. The pool is deep, but was a little cold, must have been the time of year! You can get a beer and snacks at the cafe and there is a restaurant inside the hotel. Shower had good pressure for Thailand although wasn't very warm. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for somewhere away from the 'madness' of khaosan but still close enough to not have to worry about getting a taxi half way across town

I stayed 2 nights in a Standard double bed room. I was impressed by the smart room design, everything is very convenient, look new, fresh and clean. The staff are always willing to go out of their way to make us happy. They offer free tuk tuk to Grand Palace in the morning (8 AM, 10 AM, 12 AM ) and Khaosan road in the afternoon (2 PM, 4 PM, 6 PM), which is great but remember to book in advance - right when you check in especially for tuk tuk at nice time like 8:00 AM - it's getting full quickly. Location: Luckily I cancelled a booking in Khaosan road to stay in Tara. Khaosan road is a crazy road, noisy overnight, lots of fun and crazy things - just suitable for having fun, not sleeping. Tara is 15 mins walking to Khaosan, which is ok for me. Or they have free tuk tuk if you don't want to walk. Service: Nothing to complain. They also allowed us to leave our bags the whole afternoon after checking out - for free. When I came back to take my bags, I forgot my bag ticket which is supposed to pay a fine I think - but the reception just remind us not to do it again. Tara is def a wonderful place to stay. Will def come back here!

best things about sleep withinn is that it's right next to the busy road of khaosan without having to deal with the crazies at khaosan :D i like that its at rambuttri road (nxt street fr khaosan) so that khaosan is easily accessible if you want to party and/or shop til your feet drop. very good restaurants are along the street so one can choose from a variety of cuisine. the restaurants and bars along sleep withinn are the much quiter version of the ones at khaosan. so one can take a pick. also, the area is within walking distance to the grand palace and other temples. its a long walk though but it'd good exercise. make sure to do this early in the morning, though, as most temples and the palace close early. the only bad things of this hotel i can think of is that it doesnt have free WIFI, which is very important for us travellers. they do offer wifi for a minimal fee. but it would be great if its free. another this is the khaosan area is not accessible through bangkok's BTS and MRT service. one has to take a taxi or tuktuk (if they agree) to the nearest train station.

I always love khaosan road. And whenever i am going to BKK, usually stay at least one day in this area, party area, backpacker area. This hotel is the renovated version of D&D Hotel, and it's even in the same building. Been staying in dang derm, D&D, and this time I try the Dang Derm in the park. What I know, they both under the same owner. Comfortable room (bed & pillow), everything seems too compact. They also provide mini refrigerator, and big mirror. What I really need in this room is HANGER. There is no place to put your clothes on.

Im still under baan kachitpan’s charm as im writing this over a week later. This fully renovated old style house is very well located near the action yet tucked away in a small alley which makes it amazingly quiet pretty much all day long. It is a true sanctuary from bangkok’s hectic pace, while being literally 5 mins away by foot from khaosan road and within walkable distance from many attractions. Just look at the pictures and you will fall in love, and this place is even more beautiful than pictures show. The hospitality shown from the family here is just outstanding, the madame is so friendly, having breakfast in her company in the morning is a real pleasure. You will step out in such a good mood, nothing can ruin your day. If you are looking to party your life away, this might not be the best choice. But if you are looking for a beautiful tranquil and clean place to lay your head at night, you cannot miss the oportunity to experience staying here. And dont even get me started on the price, this place is way cheaper then it should be.

Been in Thailand 10 times. And i have tried a lot of hotels and guesthouse around Khaosan Road. YES KAOSAN is still the best in this area, if you are into party, get along with travellers and backpackers around the world, this place is perfect for you. Food, shopping , clubs, day tours are everywhere in this area. Transportation is very easy, especially if you have the grab app. Accessible To and From DMK and Suvarnabhumi airport via Airport public bus. Very friendly hotel and good atmosphere. Yaw, the receptionist with curly hair is doing her job. Everyone loves her for being friendly and hospitable. The room are clean and cold with new sets of AC unit. If you need housekeeping everyday and have your towels changed, its possible just let them know. I have stayed here for 7 times and always feel like home and comfortable. This is a guesthouse at a low budget, everything is just fine, especially when you cant afford to stay in a 5 star hotel that can meet your needs and expectation.

The hotel is located near Khaosan Rd., but much quieter than staying on Khaosan. The staff was extremely helpful with directions and organizing a car to Hua Hin. The rooms are very clean, new and comfortable. I've stayed in other places in that area of Bangkok, but this was for sure the best near Khaosan Rd. Just outside there are restaurants and stores that go until late. We had a room facing the street, but wasn't loud at night.
