Tadkham Village”
Classical Thai Lanna style entrance and room lay out keeps the place cool on hot days. Hard working, English speaking, Friendly staff. Complimentary WIFI in all rooms, good selection of TV channels. Clean and comfortable bedroom. Breakfast is plated and good but cannot be varied - Like it or lump it! Location about a half hours walk from Night Bazaar. We booked for a two day stay in a standard room.- Tuk-tuk cost 50bahts from the airport road. The Tadkham Village is a very attractive guest house located in a quiet residential district about 300yds walk from The Chiang Mai Gate. There is no Swimming pool at Tadkham Village but we could walk 100yds up the road to the Chiang Mai Gate Hotel where we could use their pool for 40 bahts each per day.

Great little hotel in a quiet street!”
We had originally booked only 1 night at this hotel as we were not too sure about its location (just outside of the walled down town area) and we ended up staying 4 nights in total. We paid $37/night, breakfast included and we thought this was a very good deal. The hotel premises ared lovely, the room was nicely decorated and the bathroom seemed newly renovated; location is perfect on a quite back street only 10 minutes walk from the walled old town. It is also around the corner from the Saturday Walking Street Market. The staff is very friendly and breakfast was adequate (eggs made to order, fresh fuits and juices. I would suggest though using freshly brewed coffee as the Nescafe was not great!). We loved Chiang Mai and if we go back we would definitely stay at Tadkham Village again.

Tadkham Village Hotel, Chiang Mai, Thailand”
Tadkham Village Hotel was our first hotel on our 24 days trip in south-east Asia and it was definitely a good choice for the 3 night stay. We booked the hotel mainly because it is recommended by Tripadvisor. It is an excellent value for money. The hotel is surrounded by beautiful palm trees with a small lake unlike the other hotels we have seen in Chiang Mai. Rooms were clean and spacious, staff was helpful and the chief office clerk could speak good english. Breakfast was OK, location is a bit remote, however the hotel has its own tuk-tuk driver who will drive you anywhere in the town for a reasonable price. Overall it has been an excellent stay.

A quiet oasis in the city”
From first sight, driving all of ten minutes from the airport, I knew I would like this place. It is charming in so many ways, with fragrant flowers in and nearby, fish pond, and spa decor that was a joy. It was a pleasure just sitting near the entrance and having a cold beer (readily available from the staff). The staff was always kind and most helpful; they seemed to want to go that extra mile to make our stay a treat. The hotel is easy walking distance to all of old town and good restaurants are to be found just blocks away (Good Italian food in Northern Thailand; who would have thought). The hotel has low cost tours available which I plan on doing next visit. Next visit? Absolutely - this is where I will stay. Lastly, it is very inexpensive. Save your money for all the activities Chiang Mai has to offer and stay at Tadkham Village.

Tadkham Village - An oasis in the city!”
Tadkham Village is a family run resort in the back streets in Chiang Mai, close enough to everything but far enough away as well. There is a spa within the resort which offers massage, facials etc. little bit more expensive than on the street but good convenience wise. Free wi-fi but also free internet on provided computers. People staying there are repeat customers which is a good sign. Tried too extend with Agoda again but no availability, their rates are cheap enough anyway. High recommend!

Very authentic, nice hotel close to the center”
Tadkham Village Hotel had a real rural style with its all pieces. The pictures, the small pond, the bed, the bath room doors and even the rubish container. The staff is very friendly. Breakfast is delicious and proper amount for an avarage adult. Rooms are very clean and they have free wifi too. Aircondition systems can be set individually. Being aware of that it is a 3 star hotel it is worht the money which is quite reasonable. I can recommend it to anyone who like a calm, clean, stylish place which is really close to the city's interesting parts.

Fantastic and comfortable”
again the location is a plus point for our stay in tadkham, just 5 minutes walk to the nearest wet market with good and cheap local food stalls in the evening. saturday market is just the same distance away from the hotel. the staff was very pleasant and helpful and gave us really good advice on how to get around chiang mai during our stay. always ready with our room keys when we got back to the hotel, always nice to be greeted with a smile after a whole day out. breakfast is great too. bathroom is provided with lemon-grass shampoo and bath-gel to get rid of those mosquito.

Great location close to Saturday and Sunday market”
We slept four nights at this hotel. The room was big and clean, b'fast was also fresh and good. The hotel is not big and therefore it is quite quiet. The staff is very polite and very helpful. The hotel is also situated in a side street away from the busy roads. It is also very well known with the locals and walking distance from the Saturday and Sunday market. We are planning to go back in Chiang Mai and will definitely stay again at the Tadkham.

great place to stay in chaing mai”
WE (8 of us) stayed in the Tadkham for 10 days in August. It is a very peaceful, pleasant place to stay. WE found the location terrific. It is a pity that there is no pool, but there is a great public pool in Chiang Mai Land, which is worth a visit. The photos on the web site are very accurate.we would all definitely stay in the Tadkham again.

pleasant environment, quiet and clean”
we enjoyed our stay at tadkham village. even though the hotel is located outside the walls, it is an easy walk to the night bazaar and to the center. the beds were a little too hard, but other than that, we were very pleased with this small 27 room hotel. great value and service. breakfasts were more than adequate and the english speaking staff was very helpful. located on a very quiet street, so you are removed from the hustle of being inside the walls.

Great hotel”
We loved the Tadkham Village hotel! The rooms were very nice and clean with a tv, hot shower, fridge and huge comfy bed. The staff were absolutely the most friendly hotel staff that we had encountered throughout our entire travels in Thailand. Would definitely recommend this hotel to all travellers.

Strategic location to Sat Night Walking Street”
during my 3 night stay at tadkham village hotel, overall i found it's value for money. the room & bathroom are clean, but the spring mattress is a bit bouncy. the staff are being very helpful to answer our inquiry & assist us in getting a reasonable rate for day tour. option been given to us for transportation to the bus station. breakfast served are buffet for salad & fresh fruits while one main course either continental or eastern cuisine. taste not bad & proper portion. the hotel located near to sat night walking street, just about 3-5mins walking distance. however, it's a bit far from sun night walking street which take about 15mins walk. one day before leaving, my wife & myself have tried their massage package which is value money compare to established massage center.

Great Value”
Tadkham Village is a really great value. It's a lot cheaper than many of the other boutique hotels in the town, and I think this may have to do with the fact that it's not right in the middle of things. The rooms were exceptionally clean and comfortable, with tasteful furniture. I highly recommend it.

Outstanding hotel and heartwarming service”
Tadkham village was one of the best hotels we have stayed in Thailand. It's one of those places where you feel like home. The staff were helpful and friendly. It has a great courtyard with a lovely water features and a fish pond. This place was incredibly clean. The famous Chiangmai Walking street is just minutes away from the hotel. Street food and restaurants are readily available. Highly recommend this place! You will have no regret!

Tadkham Village Hotel Review”
The first time that I think about hotel in Chang Mai I try to search by google and I found Agoda! Afterthat I tried to reserve "Tadkham Village" for 1 night. After I went to Chang Mai, It feel a little bit difficult to goto "Tadkham Village". The first impression at the front of hotel I feel this place is very tranquility and when I check in into my room It look very Antique. Afterthat I went to walking street, It not faraway from hotel (you can request Map from receptionist). Finally I thing this place is best value for who's want to rest in somewhear in Chang Mai that's not faraway from walking street and Tranquil

charming hotel with great service”
tadkham village is charming with very cute and spacious rooms and lovely little sitting area outside. the staff is very friendly and will give you the best advices for tours etc. you can also book massages through them. unfortunately they serve only breakfast, which is very simple, cereals, toasts or eggs and sausages. the hotel is 5 minutes away from the main road and it is very easy to catch a tuk tuk to everywhere else. we loved the location as it was away from the noise of the main city but yet very close. the only thing we didn't like were the pillows, very flat and hard. but i suppose we could have asked for extra pillows.

Serene and Beautiful”
The Tadkham Village is a really quaint and pretty little hotel. The architecture and landscaping is very Thai, and there are lots of little nooks in the courtyard for relaxing with a book. It's outside the old city. It's a little walk from the major sites and restaurants, but it's worth it to be on a quaint, quiet neighborhood soi. Highly, highly recommended for the value.

Peaceful and Relaxing at Tadkham Village”
Our favourite place to stay in thailand this time was tadkham village the hotel was traditional but stylish. The rooms were spacious and clean with stunning features of wooden doors and high ceiling. little touches like complimentary water and ginger tea made you feel at home. the staff were so friendly and helpful with tips on were to go and how to get there.
