Very enjoyable, they make you want to return!”

The Pullman Raja Orchid is an outstanding, world-class hotel. it's one of the best I have ever stayed at, anywhere. It's not for the budget-minded, but offers good value for your money, and a chance to live luxuriously without breaking the bank. The rooms are splendid, spacious and very comfortable, with bed and pillows to 'die for'. All its varied restaurants are first-class in the food provided and the table service, and quite reasonably priced for what you get. The staff are unfailingly polite and helpful, if and when needed, and all speak very adequate or excellent English. The entire reception area and Lobby Lounge is a delight to walk into, to sit and just relax, talking with company or not, over a drink, listening to live (from 7pm) or recorded music. The city of Khon Kaen has excellent shopping malls, lots of shopping opportunities, and a splendid nine-storey level temple overlooking the main lake in the city. Outside of The Pullman, and very nearby, are several good, inexpensive bars and restaurants. Khon Kaen is an excellent tourist city for couples and families, but lone travellers need not fear, since their every wish can and will be catered for. I'll be back at The Pullman in several weeks time, and know already that my wife and I will again enjoy the experience.

Beautiful hotel, great service”

It's always a pleasure to arrive in Khon Kaen and stay at the Pullman Raja Orchid. My wife and I have stayed there seven times now, and it's always an enjoyable experience. There's a good feeling as soon as you step into the very large,airy and impressive lobby/reception area. Check-in is quick, efficient and courteous, and your luggage is taken up to the room for you. There are rooms of varying sizes, depending on what you've booked, but they're all big, with attractive decor, and are very comfortable. The king size beds are wonderfully comfortable, and their pillows are the best I've ever encountered, anywhere. The bathrooms? well, you could almost throw a party in them. Our rooms have always had a well-stocked bar, a very good quality writing desk, and free wi-fi, should you want it. Enjoy a drink or three at the lobby bar, and, in the evenings, there's soft music, piano playing, and female singers. The Pullman also has a large downstairs restaurant area, and nearby they brew their own beer. And it's good! Just off to one side of the lobby/reception area is a coffee shop/bakery with lots of cakes and breads. Eat there, or take up to your room and make a cup of tea or coffee. There are several themed restaurants in the Pullman, all of them with extensive menus, the main one being where the breakfast is available each morning. I've only one complaint, breakfastwise ...the breakfast shuts off at 10 a.m., okay for business people, of course, but much too early, in my opinion, for those holidaying in Khon Kaen (surely the majority?), who may deservedly, and understandably, be treating themselves to late nights. 10.30 a.m. or 11 a.m. breakfast closure would be a much more acceptable time. The Pullman Buffet ("all you can eat",costing about 700 baht), is very good value.

Good place to stay in Khon Kaen.”

We stayed at the Pullman Khon Kaen Raja Orchid Hotel for 4 nights. It was a pleasant experience. On arrival to the airport we were transferred on the shuttle bus to the hotel. Very friendly staff with adequate English. We were immediately upgraded to an executive suite on the 20th floor. Very nice suite which exceeded our requirements. Nice swimming pool. The gym is ok and the staff were excellent but some of the equipment could be updated. Excellent buffet breakfast. Central location was the main reason we chose this hotel so we could easily catch up with friends who are living in Khon Kaen. The staff were excellent throughout the hotel. The staff in the main restaurant were always so attentive at breakfast and very friendly. Overall a pleasant stay and would stay there again.

The best in the North East by far”

Once again we really enjoyed our stay at the Raja Orchid Pullman Hotel in Khon Kaen. Previously I had reported that the standard of the breakfast buffet had deteriorated. However, I am glad to announce that it is now improved, and back to the high standards of old. By far the best hotel in Khon Kaen, and indeed Issan. There are a couple of newer 4* hotels in Khon Kaen these days, but they do not have the class or elegance of the Pullman. We can't wait to get back there!

this is a 5 star hotel in khon kaen. for thais, this is an expensive hotel but for non-thais in usa, it is good price for this hotel. newest hotel in khon kaen. staff is excellent with good english. very helpful. free wifi..the room was excellent and comfortable. bathroom had bathtub and bright and clean. the hallway closet even opened to the bathroom if you needed something from the closet. this is a must stay hotel. the lobby is huge. bar and pastry shop there. sports bar downstairs from lobby. of all the hotels i stayed in thailand, this was the nicest of everything. even though the room was average size for thailand, it was good. bed was big and comfortable. pool was shallow but big/long. a kiddie pool is at one end. i would definately recommend this for anyone. family or single. a top notch, first class hotel. agoda members, please patronize this hotel. you won't be disappointed. they have most everything you will need in a hotel/stay. and the hotel is in a nice location to walk to other places. the one negative is room service food price. it is expensive for room service food. it is good but expensive!! more than 1 restaurant in the hotel to eat. read shopping eating tips below..

Excellent as always!”

We have just completed another short stay at the excellent Pullman Raja Orchid in Khon Kaen. One thing we must repeat this time, was there is still no improvement with the quality of the breakfast buffet. This has been deteriorating for some time now. Also noticeable is the poor service by staff in the Pavillion Cafe, where the breakfasts are taken. They are extremely polite and very friendly, but really need some professional training. They need the managerement to help them. Apart from this, it's a wonderful hotel in a great location. We will be back soon!

Comfortable 4 Star in KK”

The Pullman Raja Orchid is the best place to stay in Khon Kaen. Our room, a junior suite and my son's room, a superior/standard were both great. The bathrooms are amazing with a tub and shower too. The Bakery in the lobby has really nice food, not too terribly expensive. The breakfast buffet is fine if you like the big buffets. But the dinners we tried there were not good, especially for the western, plus plus prices.

Exceeded Already High Expectations”

My wife and I were making our first stay at the Pullman Hotel in Khon Kaen. I used to use the hotel when it was the Sofitel amd thought it was good in those days, but now, under its new name, it has moved into another category of outstanding. Upon arrival (we drove from Bangkok) we were upgraded as the room type we had ordered was not available except for a smoking room. The room was exceptional - spacious and well furnished. We ate out for dinner, after a beer in the lounge - home-brewed beer too and very good. At night, however, we were kept awake due to a dreadfully noisy disco/bar outside until 3.30am. Complained during the night and were offered a deluxe room on the other side of the hotel immediately, declined as it was already 2am and we had unpacked. In the morning at reception, we were informed that we were to upgraded again - to a huge suite on the other (quiet) side of the hotel. It was more than we could have hoped for - we enjoyed a truly outstanding range of food and types of cuisine at the buffet dinner that night, and a blissfully comfortable and peaceful evening and night in our room. The anti-social 'noisy neighbours' cannot be controlled by the hotel and it is a shame that Thai law is so tolerant of noise in general. The response of the hotel, however, was remarkable and I shall visit again soon - for sure - but will ask for a room in a room overlooking the front of the hotel. My thanks to ALL the staff and those who were so accommodating - literally! I recommend the hotel strongly to others, notwithstanding the noise issue at the rear of the hotel.

Excellent hotel in center of Khon Kaen”

Excellent, large hotel with good sized rooms. Beautiful modern design with ample use of wood. Bedroom has very nice, comfortable bed and excellent pillows. Bathroom has separate bath / shower and ample space. Shower is excellent!! TV provides sufficient foreign language channels. Free wifi available. Breakfast buffet is excellent with good variety of eastern / western dishes. Quality of service is excellent and english language skills are not an issue. There is a pool on the 4th floor large enough for swimming some laps. Not most beautiful setting though. Location is in central Khon Kaen. Hotel offers a number of restaurants. Within walking distance a number of (cheaper) options are available as well as bars for foreigners. Best hotel in central Khon Kaen.

Quality hotel, but getting a bit tired..”

Stayed here on a number of occasions before. Still a classy hotel and good value for money. Large rooms with very comfortable bed. Good food, especially the buffet selection for breakfast and dinner. There are some issues though. It is overdue a renovation. Starting to look dated and tired around the edges. Staff performance is hit and miss. The quality of the TV reception in the rooms is rubbish and always has been. WiFi quality is also below acceptable standard. Signage and info around hotel is often outdated/inaccurate. Check in process was painful. Almost 30 minutes as they couldn't trace the details of the 2nd room on my Agoda booking - ultimately I received an upgrade but again,not acceptable for a 5 star hotel. Overall I will consider staying again, however fundamental issues (tv reception, WiFI) need to be rectified, and Khon Kaen now has several other good hotel options at cheaper rates so the Pullman need to be doing more to stay at the top.

Excellent hotel: very good value for money”

Only stayed for two days after visiting a friend. Excellent hotel which is easily the best hotel in Khon Kaen. Big rooms with desk for working and impeccable bath room. Separate shower with hot water and good pressure. No complaints whatsoever except for the fact that a few more english speaking channels would be nice to have (e.g. CNBC). Service good and efficient. Easy to walk to most places from hotel. Very good bed with special mention of pillows that are extremely comfortable. Nice swimming pool and fitness center. Would stay again in this hotel when visiting Khon Kaen.

Grand hotel in great location”

The Pullman Khon Kaen is the nicest hotel we have stayed in Khon Kaen. It is centrally located to many restaurants and bars. There are also many discos nearby, you will not be bored. Also there is a shopping mall a short tuk tuk ride away. Hotel was staff was friendly and the rooms were very clean. Would recommend this hotel to all types of travelers.

my wife and i have stayed at several hotels in khon kaen. the pullman is by far the best hotel we have stayed at in khon kaen. it is close to shopping, in the center of town, right of the main highways both north-south and east-west. i highly recommend this hotel to any traveler for any purpose. the breakfast buffet is very good. it has food from several cultures.

Good quality hotel”

I stayed here with my Thai wife on Christmas Eve after attending a Christmas dinner. We live over an hour away so it wasn't worth going home afterwards. The hotel is one of the best in Khon Kaen and is certainly impressive. We stayed in a Deluxe King room which is at the end of the corridor and is slightly bigger than normal. It’s very difficult to find much wrong with the experience and in fact I’ll be staying there again in June when I fly back from the UK into Khon Kaen airport. I never had time to use the pool so I can’t comment on that. The breakfast was as good as most but then I very rarely find much to complain about with regard to hotel food in larger Thai hotels. The location is pretty good although we found when we wanted to walk to Central Plaza that crossing some of the roads was quite difficult. If you’ve never been to Thailand before don’t be fooled into just stepping onto a pedestrian crossing thinking anyone will stop.

Fantastic hotel”

I always stay at The Pullman when in Khon Kaen. As always I was treated to excellent service, rooms and hotel facilities. This grand hotel has superb and plentiful dining and entertainment options and staff are professional. Rooms are large, very well equipped with a great bathroom. If you feel the need to leave the hotel grounds, there are a range of eating and entertainment options located within 5 minutes walk. A short taxi journey will get you to Central Festival shopping centre. I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning again in the future.

My first trip to Khon Kaen”

On arrival at the Pullman hotel we were greeted with a smile from the concierge and our bags were taken away promptly. There was no waiting at reception where the check in was prompt and the receptionist polite and well-spoken. We went to our room and our bags followed immediately--great service!!! We were surprised at how large the room was and it was very tastefully decorated. It was great to have a bath as well as a shower too. I have never seen pillows as big as those that were on the very comfortable bed. This was a fantastic hotel and I enjoyed my first visit to Khon Kaen city very much and in fact will be returning there in November and I will definitely be staying at the Pullman.

5 Star Hotel, excellent service, and big rooms”

my wife and i have stayed at this fine, 5-star hotel on six occasions, and every time has been very enjoyable. the rooms are large, with very well-appointed amenities, lack for nothing, and are very comfortable. their restaurant has an excellent, varied and tasty breakfast, and the main evening restaurant caters for buffet or a la carte dining, with many choices. the buffet is great value with many hot and cold main choices, and beautiful desserts. their range of wines is modest, but good quality and reasonably priced. a very enjoyable dining experience. if you like a beer, try their 'home brew', either in the lounge, or downstairs where they make it. the pullman's location is good, very close to a shopping mall, and other, inexpensive bars and restaurants. a 15 minute walk sees you at the large and diverse central plaza. take a taxi, or tuk tuk, and visit the 9-level temple where, at the top, you get very nice views of khon kaen. for other places of interest to visit, we found the reception staff very helpful.

Still the best in Issan”

We have been staying at the Pullman for when visiting Khon Kaen, for about 10 years now. There are quite a few good new establishments in the city, but the Pullman Raja Orchid remains the best! It is really a delight to stay there. Great hotel and excellent staff!
