Best service I found in Thailand, amazing location”

I can honestly say that this was by far the best service I've received in Thailand, and maybe even anywhere. The manager (he pronounced his name something like Kow or Kaw) was the most helpful person ever. He was always on the spot and ready to help with food/drinks, getting us motorbikes, allowing us to store our bags while we traveled south, laundry - whatever you needed. Beyond that, this place was right on the beach, and right in the middle of the beach on Klong Dao so you were close to everything, so long as you're willing to walk for a few minutes on a beautiful beach (it seems other reviewers are not willing to do that). The bungalows were very unique - the design, colors, shapes, etc, but also very clean and nicely done. The AC was great, the doors/windows kept mosquitos out. The topper on this is the beach grill dinners that they offers. By far the best in Klong Dao. Seafood and other foods grilled right out on the beach and served to you with your feet in the sand. The neighboring bar has firedancers that you can watch while you do it too. Highly recommended.

I loved being right on the beach and also close to the little village. Klong Dao Beach is one of the best. I really like the friendliness of Cha Ba. It is beautifully colourful and not pretentious, and very reasonably priced. We just loved our time there. The island is gorgeous, and very close to other beautiful islands to explore, such as Phi Phi and Bamboo Islands.

Defintely recommend staying at Cha-Ba when you visit Koh Lanta. The staff were so helpful and kind. The location was great. Our room was awesome, safety box in the room. Look no further and book here!

A charming place by the sea”

My five days at Cha-Ba bungalows were enjoyable due to the wonderful staff and cheerful, colorful decor of the place. I stayed in an air-con bungalow, which was cozy and comfortable. The staff were helpful in providing information as well as arranging several trips. I will definitely stay there again when I go back for another visit.

Excellent base on Ko Lanta”

an outstaqndingly good base from wich to explore koh lanta and to have a beach holiday. kas and his staff are exceptionally helpful. you need never leave the site and if you do all you need is nearby on the road and the town is a short tuk-tuk ride away. the accommodation is basic but adequate.

Cha ba ticks all the boxes ”

Our stay at cha ba was the highlight of our trip in terms of accommodation. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. Cocktails are delicious and the food is great. The rooms were spacious and for the price very luxurious.

A great getaway ”

I stayed at Cha-Ba 3 nights with my friend and we enjoyed our stay there very much! The location is awesome, around 5 min from the pier, directly at the beach, there are several restaurant around, the staff is very helpful...we were very happy and we would very likely return

Nice bungalow with great location ”

We stayed at a deluxe bungalow and it was very clean, big and great located. Unfortunately we didn’t have WiFi in the bungalow. It is directly at the beach and close to the main road with several restaurants. It has a great pool. The stuff was always really helpful and friendly. All in all we recommend the Hotel.

Friendly place and very accomodating”

The hotel is in a great location right on the beach. Our bungalow was clean and large. The water did stop working in the bathroom once but it was fixed straight away and the staff were very kind. Overall we very much enjoyed our stay here

Solo Female Traveller”

I stayed in a superior bungalow for a week. The room was large and clean and it had AC. I stayed close to the beach so the noise from the mosque was barely audible. Wifi was strong in the room. The front desk staff was very nice and helpful. The restaurant had a nice breakfast included in the room rate. The location is right on the beach which was beautiful. I had a very nice stay.

Clean nice hotel on the beach, needs improvement ”

+The hotel is very nice, beautiful location on the beach. +The rooms were very clean, bed sheets were changed every 2 days. +The staff was very friendly and willing to help. +The food at the Picasso restaurant was very tasty. -At reception only one employee spoke English. At the restaurant only 2 waitresses out of about 10 in total. That made the communication very difficult, especially because the majority of the guests were foreigners. -The staff at reception had very little real knowledge about the different tours. They only knew who to contact to book these tours. As a result in we went on a longtail boat tour with children, when the weather was getting stormy. This put us in danger, and could have been avoided if the staff had some idea about it. - The service at the restaurant was slow. We rarely got our meals together. Dishes were forgotten, or came too late. The staff was obviously not professional, and very unorganized. - The water in the pool was dirty.

Good for families, not so much for couples.”

My boyfriend and I stayed 3 nights in one of their older bungalows. I would recommend paying more and upgrading to the newer rooms as they look 100x better. The room was pretty ugly (painted every color of the rainbow), the bathroom was not very clean, and we had a cat that was climbing all over our roof so it made a lot of noise! The newer rooms look way nicer. This hotel does not have a pool unfortunately, but is right on the beach which is great. Would be a good hotel for families with children.

Boka inte detta / Do not stay at this resort”

This resort is not being taken care of. 75% of the area looks like a dump, with no-one looking after the ”garden”. The breakfast ”buffet” was awful, with cold fried eggs and pancakes, things not being refilled until a guest asks for it etc. The persons workimg there are polite but simply has no idea of how to do things. But the main problem is the management of the Hotel, who seems to try and get a lot of money out of the resort but without investing. The room (pool suite) was ok, but overprized during peak season (We compared with other resorts while there). The ”normal” rooms are not ok, our Friends had problems with their toilet and also showers did not provide hot water. The pool is ok but the pool area offers NO Sun beds (only a few chairs), the concrete around the pool is cracked etc. The only really good thing about the Hotel is the location right at the beach, but there are many other alternatives that I would prefer - I would not recommend Cha-Ba to anyone.

Nice bungalows, right on the beach”

The bungalows were slightly shabby for the price and we just had a fan room but we enjoyed our stay here. The only thing which we were very disappointed about was on the day we were leaving we discovered that some sort of insects had eaten through a pair of shoes/runners in the bottom of the wardrobe. The smell wasn't great but overall it was OK. The fruit shakes were amazing though!

very friendly and serviceoriented”

we were warmly welcomed after a long trip. the bungalow was o.k. - there are renovations in progress - the newly renowated ones are very nice! service was perfect and food in restaurant also great. there was no problem with individual menu requests. staff was very helpful with organising trips and transfers - everything worked perfect.

Nice and cozy”

I stayed here last January for a few nights. I choose this hotel because I am an art lover and I was fond of the paintings at the lobby. The rooms were spacious and new. Good if you want to be far from everything else as this is situated at the end of the beach. Good for family with children. But far from the center and happening places. Free breakfast is very plain and basic. Wifi is provided to its still pretty convenient. If you walk up the street of the hotel entrance there are lots of good local restaurants to try. :)

Very friendly”

The staff in this hotel is really exceptionally lovely and the atmosphere is fun. The rooms are whimsical and kinda unique. I was here in the wrong season, but I am sure in high season this is a vibrant and very lovely place. Dont expect luxury, but a warm, kind atmosphere at a great location right at the beach.

Very nice hotel to come with young children. Our room is family room 1 big bed 2 single bed got swimming pool right at our room. Hotel close to the beach close to the main road & 7-11. Restaurant & bar right on the beach some day you can get very nice Sunset.

Great location and friendly staff”

Great place to stay for a quiet holiday, lovely restaurants nearby but not too much in the way of bars. Accommodation is simple but has aircon and TV and good value food in Picasso Restaurant. Located on the beach, and easy to organise excursions directly from Chaba reception. Would definitely stay again.
