Wonderful stay at Gooddays Lanta Beach Resort”

Our stay at Goodays was wonderful. We initially planned to stay for only 3 nights but ended up staying for 9 nights. The location of the hotel directly on Long Beach is great and our bungalow had a nice view of the ocean. We would recommend this hotel for anyone wanting a budget hotel on beautiful Koh Lanta which has many of the amenities of a much more expensive hotel. We also noted many wonderful restaurants on Long Beach which were close to Gooddays Resort. Our favourite restaurant was Everywhere Restaurant at the north end of Long Beach which had the best meals for a very reasonable price

Value for money and great location”

It was a shame to just stay here for 1 day and that what we did but we definitely come back to Koh lanta and this resort. It was low season there so we had a good deal on Agoda. The resort located on the beach so you can just open the door and voila the beautiful beach in front of your eyes. That's the best experience ever. The staff were attentive and friendly so no complaint from me. I also like their swimming pool, well not so big but enjoyable. Give it a try when you come to Koh Lanta.

This trip was my boyfriends and my second stay at Lanta beach resort, it's such good value for money, stayed in a basic fan room which was clean and comfy- and right on the beach front. Lovely swimming pool a stones throw from the beach and some great little places darted around the hotel grounds to relax. Staff were friendly and chatty. A few ants in the room but you really have to expect that a little here. I will be returning again hopefully!

Good Days !”

We booked two nights at this hotel and ended up staying there for over a week. We checked also many other resorts at Ko Lanta and this was most clean, calm and spacious of them all. Beach is very close, cocktail bar, massage and pool also available. Breakfast is typical western and overall price very low. Close by there is everything you need, a shop, many restaurants, laundry (also at reception) tourist info, pharmacy and so on. Staff was lovely and friendly and they spoke pretty good english also. In the reception counter you could find many services as motor bike rental, taxis, day trips, card posting, internet and help of any kind you could imagine to need. I can recommend the hotel specially for families with small children.

Good, Simple accomodation”

I was not so impressed with Koh Lanta, but i can not fault the Resort for that. Gooddays seems very popular with European tourists. TV channels limited to French, German, but that is not a problem. Bungalows are well maintained, modern and clean. Serviced every day Food is basic, but there is variety. I always eat outside whenever i am on holidays anyway. Breakfast was to order, so for me was perfect. Swimming pool is not that large, but still nice and surrounded by grassed open garden area and seemed quite popular. The beach to the north of the resort is quite nice and white sand, but to the south there are many rocks. This may be nice for those wanting to explore the rocks for small marine life. the beach is quite nice for swimming. It does not get deep too quickly, so quite safe. I had a good experience at Gooddays

Nicest staff we have ever met!”

We really enjoyed staying at Gooddays! The husband and wife that run this resort were absolutely lovely! The room was fabulous for the price and you could see the beach from your window. It is on a quiet stretch of beach on Long Beach and is just perfect for relaxing and watching the amazing sunsets. There are also lots of great restaurants walking distance from the resort. We would definitely stay here again!

Great Beachfront Lodging”

gooddays is a nice hotel, on the southern end of long beach. we stayed in the superior beachfront bungalow, so we had a beautiful view of the andaman sea from our room. the rooms are simple--don't expect a resort spa--but they're clean and spacious. the hotel has a nice pool, a decent restaurant, a great bar (try the long island iced tea!), and lots of lounge chairs scattered around for you to watch the sunset or the stars. the staff is helpful if you want to book trips or transfers.

very nice place to use as a base of operations”

This is a very nice place, the key is to use Koh Lanta as a base from which to go island hopping. When you arrange day trips, the boats will generally pick you up right from the beach in front. Place has a great pool, by the way. Seems to be quite popular with Swedes? :)

Great, Quiet Location that Could Use Some Updates”

Large and mostly empty room with a large fridge. Beautiful grounds and quiet beach. Shallow water and pool, perfect for children. WiFi was a bit iffy with low internet connection speeds. I had to switch to my T-Mobile's free data coverage for HD quality Skype. They really need some concrete pavers or step stones to provide a nice, clean walkway to all rooms and a foot washing station so that you are not forced to drag the sand and the grass into your room. We ended-up using an empty 1.5 L water bottle filled at the beach to wash the stuff off our feet at our door. Mind you, this is what we've had to do in many places, making those who go the extra mile and provide a convenient foot washing station stand out. If they add the pavers and improve the internet, I'd up the facilities rating to 5 star. Note that the staff (a little lady) tried to even bring my heavy 3rd bag to the front desk before I could get back to it! So, many of them try very hard. If their porter service could become more consistent (so a little cleaning lady is not who rushes to help), I'd up the staff rating to 5, as well :) The food at the resort was good and reasonably priced. The breakfast was OK and always covered to keep away the flys. The hotel recommended Mae's Kitchen, a short walk from the (long) hotel entrance (to the left of the entrance), where the food was grand and the prices reasonable. The 7-eleven was a bit longer walk (5 min?) to the right! Remember that in Thailand you will hear birds chirping from ~5AM - 8AM most anywhere you go (including Bangkok)! So, no complaining!

This resort is right on the beach, so a good location, The beach area is nice. The room was at a 3 star level, basic but clean, aircon worked fine. I was not keen on the wet bathroom, and was in need of renovation. Pool was nice, but at Koh Lanta all you really need is the Beach unless you have kids. Overall I would recommend this resort if you get a good deal.

Lovely Place, Great stay - highly recommended”

The resort lies directly at the beach and has a stunning sunset to offer every day. The bungalows are comfortable and clean for Thailand standards. We had no problems with any bugs whatsoever. The staff was always very forthcoming and welcoming. They helped with all our questions and were always friendly. Breakfast is okay, the restaurant is okay but not superb. Better eat at the very close great places along the street. ATM and 7/11 are just a 2 minutes walk from the resort. the resort also offers scooters for rent which we used two days to explore the island :) There is absolutely no street noise or any party noise - so you can enjoy the quiet beach nights and maybe have a cocktail at beachbar. Only little minus is that during tide the beach in front of th resort is quiet rocky but bathing is still possible. You could also walk 50m up the beach and have no more rocks at all. Overall we had a very great stay and highly recommend the Goodays Resort!

Excellent hotel, view was amazing. ”

Beach huts were right on the beach with an amazing view. Pool and beach within 30 second walk of beach hut. Had beeakfast every morning, the staff were great and fruit was so fresh, only around €2 for tea, toast and a plate of fresh fruit with gorgeous views of the beach. It was very hot at night so next time I would upgrade to an aircon room. As with most beach huts some of the local wildlife may pay a visit, I had a few cockroaches in the bathroom at night and a gecko in my room. Got the gecko out in a glass and got a spray to get rid of cockroaches. Loads of restaurants a short walk from the resort, and the hotel did a small lunch menu as well as breakfast if you didn't want to walk far in the day. When we were leaving it was stormy with heavy rains, a number of the staff got umbrellas and walked us to our transfer bus to ensure we didn't get wet. Overall a great experience and would highly recommend to stay here.

value for money”

Huge relief from a very tiring journey to koh lanta (approximately 4 hour drive from wang kelian malaysia-thai border+2x ferry ride). I would highly recommended this resort for family vacation as it is very close to the shore (children would go out to play anytime). Our room (sea view) was located in front of a natural lagoon therefore I would strongly recommend those who are searching for a beautiful view with very affordable price and an acceptably comfortable room.

Beautiful location, nice rooms”

not only is this a beautiful location, but the rooms are clean and well kept and the beds are comfortable. definately one of the nicer places that i stayed on koh lanta! i found the front desk staff to be very outgoing and helpful.

Nice room, great beach”

we had an air-con beachfront bungalow, simply furnished but neat and clean, loved the peaceful air of the place. although it overlooked the beach there is only a small route actually onto the beach, on saying that beach was clean and long, the sea was almost as clear as a swimming pool. food was generally good, although breakfast menu was limited and the toast was a little cardboardy. staff were great, very helpful and knowledgeable. if you want a place to relax in, i can recommend gooddays, if you're an adrenaline junkie or party animal, stay somewhere else!

Seriously! The best resort on the best beach in Lanta”

We research hotel sites, then do "walk abouts" to find the best facility for the best value to money. This is it! We book two days then explore for better deals. Save yourself the time. Long Beach has great sand, the lovely crescent, no jellyfish (at least nothing in late May, early April) and one of the greatest staffs you'll find at any resort. From the engaged, awesomely professional Mr. Tee to his manager Mr. Chi. There were ants, but they took care of them immediately. It's an older facility, but a far better value than the newer ones, some of which don't even have a pool! The breakfast is made for you on the spot, great food! Save yourself some work and stay there. They'll immediately fix any problem you may have.

Had a lovely time at Good Days Lanta. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our bungalow had a sea view which was great and the pool is right at the beach front. Breakfast included was good and you got plenty. Seemed to be very accommodating for families with young children

Great place right on the beach. Rooms good, basic but perfectly clean, and all that is needed including fridge and safe. I think there are a range of different rooms at different prices. All seem good and all pretty much have beach view Great location at the quieter end of Long Beach. Staff are absolutely lovely, so helpful and friendly. Mainly family and couples, so more suited to a quiet time than a lot of action! Reasonable price in line with surroundings but not very cheap. Definitely planning a return trip.
