Better areas on the island to stay”

We stayed at Lanta dream house whilst my boyfriend completed his Padi diving course. The dive centre was close by so from that point of view the location was ideal. The resort was very family orientated with easy access to the main supermarket, bars, restaurants shops and of course beautiful beaches, however if you are looking to get closer to the real Thailand this is not the area to stay. We later moved to Klong Nin beach which had much more of a traveler relaxed feel to it. That being said the accommodation at Lanta dream house was very nice, clean and spacious with friendly staff. I would defiantly recommend the hotel depending on what your looking for from the island.

Comfort stay”

I have booked a family room located on the 2nd floor which come with 1 King bed, 1 double bed and 1 single bed, perfect for my family with 3 young children. There are 2 washroom but the one in Room 202 water drainage not so good, after shower there will be a pool of water on the floor and the toilet smell very bad in the morning. Swimming pool in the hotel is not very big but very clean, about 1m height. House cleaning is done daily if you have place your request at the reception desk. Most of the time, there is no one at the reception. Anyway, owner live opposite the hotel, can go knock on their door if needed any help. There are few ways to go to the beach but shortest way is to go through Southern Lanta Resort. We stayed for 5 nights, overall experience not bad.

clean and very close to krong dao beach”

the room was clean and wide enough. most of all, this hotel is very colse to krong dao beach and has a small pool. all staff including manager were kind. good place at reasonable price!

Good Value Ten Minutes Walk to Beach ”

We had a small studio style room. All the units look like they have private balconies which we enjoyed for relaxing, eating and there is also a shared balcony by the stairs on each floor. AC was powerful and quiet. No kitchen but there's a small fridge and the manager lent us a knife for cutting our fruits and veggies from the market. There's also a mini fridge. TV was older but we never watch anyways. Hot and cold shower worked well. There is a small shallow swimming pool but we didn't use it as the beach is close. Many affordable dining options are just a few minutes walk away. There are many western food tourist priced restaurants but liked Gin's Kitchen across the road to the right for breakfast or brunch and Best Som Tum for fresh squid and shrimp dishes next to the gas station to the left. There's also a cheap pad Thai cart just a few steps to the right most days after 530pm as well as plenty of fruit shake and coconut stalls nearby.

Clean and comfortable”

Four of us stayed in a suite of two connected rooms. We each had balconies, comfortable beds, and our own bathroom. Our room had a kitchen as well, which was well-equipped. We could walk to the beach within 10 minutes, and there were some restaurants and shops very close by. The towels were not very good, but that's our only complaint. Overall, it was a very good value for what we paid.

very nice apartment - as advertised it is not a hotel so there is no full-time reception but an appointment was easily made and kept. Clean room with good facilities + complementary tea and coffee and a pool and gym available on the fifth floor. Also within walking distance of the city center

Great value”

Traveling long term by myself, I look for low- cost accommodations that have high ratings for cleanliness and safety... Everything else I can deal with. This hotel has definitely been the best value for the money... AND they have a small, clean pool (during a heat wave this is live gold). Owners are lovely, on top of things, always with a smile. Highly recommended for budget travelers!

Great value for the price”

We were 4 people, they gave us a double room, with a very well equiped kitchen, pool view a double bed, 2 bunks and a single bed, the rooms were very big and clean and the people at the reception were amazing. It's about a 5 min walk to the beach and there's a 7 eleven right around the corner. Would definitely stay here again.

Large room, good pricing”

Pretty good guest house at Lanta, not right on the beach, but a short walk. Clean and large room, but bathroom smelled in the mornings of sewage, got better during the day though. Wifi stopped working during some evenings. All in all ok for a few nights, but we wanted to stay right on the beach.

A nice stay”

Positives: Fantastic location, just 200m from the beach. Friendly and helpful staff, with cheap laundry. Clean room, with a separate shower from the toilet. Negatives: WiFi wasn't quite up to standard, and the beds could have been a bit more comfortable. Overall: worth the money, and quite happy with the stay.

We booked a standard room with shared bathroom. Our bedroom door was a glass! Any on outside our room can see through and door lock was broken so we couldn't lock our room! there was no curtain for the glass door! Fortunately, we were the only one there. the unit we stayed in have two bedrooms, I believe it was unit 211. it had a kitchen, shower room, and bathroom on first floor. The second floor was our room along with another shared bathroom and shower room. The second room which is for a single person only was on the third floor, it has no window to the outside world but it does have an indoor window to stare at the hall or staircase. This is also where the balcony is. We had the whole floor to ourselves for 2 nights so i can't complain much. Only downside is our bedroom door was see through, and can't lock it. Btw staff couldn't communitcate in english, they call someone for us to talk too and signal was horrible, hard to hear and understand.

Not the most lavish of places to stay but it does the job. Its close enough to the beach - 5 minute stroll and close to all the restaurants on the main road. The cleaners are a bit disorganised. The rooms are also not very sound proof. But its fine if you are on a budget. The wifi is excellent.
