Absolutely cracking hotel right at the port”

They are currently updating every bungalow and renaming the resort to Lime n Soda. The rooms with air-con are excellent, very well sealed so the air-con works well. You get an outdoor bathroom but its still very nice. The room itself was very nice too, quite big and could sleep 3. The pool is also lovely although there are not too many sun loungers but nobody seemed to do the old towel trick which was nice. The downside to hotels here is if you like lying on glorious sand as you don't get it here, but this really isn't why you go to Koh-Phangan! The best thing about this place was the owner/manager/bar staff/general staff. Everyone here was so friendly and would go out of their way to help. The bar is right on the beach and is a cracking way to warm up for the full moon party! Especially because the bar manager Kevin who enjoys a wee drink with you and the owner/manager is absolutely nuts. She'll have you drinking complimentary Thai shots (described as the Thai Jager)and have everyone up dancing on the bar!!! Worth going here just for the staff!

Extremely nice, beautiful genuine hotel”

We were about to stay two nights at Lime n Soda and then move to Haad Yao and Haad Salad but we ended up staying more than two weeks at Lime n Soda. This is a great place. So beautiful on the beach, very clean and fresch look and the best food we have had in Thailand. We would recommend anyone going to Koh Phangan to stay here. Rooms are simple but for us it didn't do anything at all since all the rest was just perfect.

i stayed at the lime n soda for only one night with a friend and we had a very basic accomadation in one of the soda bungalows, nbut we really loved our stay....we only had a fan which was okay during the nighht!when the sun came up it did not get to hot, cause the bungulows are in the shade of trees and palm trees. you can walk by foot from the thongsala pier (15 min)....it is right next to the pier, but the water was perfectly clear and much nicer than the sea at koh samui....youre far enough from haad rin to avoid the crowds and enjoy a calm and relaxed day at the wonderful beach at lime n soda, but still you can reach everything on the island very quickly by motorbike or taxi!

Great budget resort, friendly staff”

this is a good value resort and centrally located on koh phangan. it's only a 5 minute walk to thong sala and 10 minutes to the tesco-lotus. not really convenient for going to haad rin but that's not why i came to phangan anyways. staff are very friendly, there's a bar right by the beach-although the beach here really isn't anything to write home about. still, managed to get some good tanning in. would definitely recommend this place. it would be nicer if they supplied a fridge in the rooms but i guess they want to encourage people to eat and drink at the restaurant and bar (which are good but a little pricey compared to in town. the night market (also close) is a great place for dinner.

Lime & Soda - a refreshing concoction indeed!”

I can't even begin to express how awesome my stay at Lime and Soda was - it was the blissful blessing I was searching for, and everyday just got better!! Initially I was worried about it being a 'party place', but the rooms were pretty much soundproof, and the music was always turned off before 12am. Upon first arriving, I found each and every staff member to be welcoming, and would get greeted with smiles throughout the day. Tony, the customer service manager, was FANTASTIC! He's spritely, funny, kind and always full of smiles no matter how late he is entertaining the guests - all of which he knew by name. On my day of departure (I kept extending), he even took me down to the pier personally as I missed my taxi! what a guy! I dined at the restaurant a few times, and the food was good, but I was on a bit of a budget and mostly ate at the night markets nearby. Aside from the location being in a prime hotspot for access to Thong Sala, it had a beautiful seaview by the pool, a cocktail bar on the beach, volleyball, table tennis and other activities too. As I kept extending my stay, I was fortunate enough to be shuffled around a bit and got to experience three different rooms varying in size. One thing that should be noted - the beds are like clouds. I hadn't slept well in the past 6 weeks at my place in Phuket, and this is one of the main reasons I didn't want to leave! The rooms were all very tidy, clean, hot water, A/C (where applicable) and located withen the zen-ful flow of the grounds. This is one of the best places I've stayed in Thailand, and have already made tentative reservations for my return in September - looking forward to another blissful break :)

it was our first time in ko phangan and had no idea what to expect, so this hotel was an excellent introduction. the staff are wonderful and the amenities in and around the hotel are supherb. i hired a bike at $ dollars a day to explore the island and, for the price, lime n soda had no competition. i would recommend this hotel to anyone and have done so since staying there. the only problem we encountered was the toilet. it emitted a fairly serious odour after a few days.

Enjoyed the stay, check your sheets”

We stayed for two nights on Lime n Soda and for the price it was excellent: clean room, good food, superb views--it's right on the beach! So we decided to come back to here for the Full Moon Party that weekend. On arriving on the Saturday we noticed that our sheets had clearly been washed, but had been stained a light pink colour (it says on the wall that the UV body paint from the parties doesn't wash off, and they'll charge you for it). We figured they used the already stained sheets on the party nights just in case. Checking out the next morning however, they tried to blame us for the stains! We pointed out it was impossible, we hadn't had any body paint, plus you could see from the pattern the sheets had clearly already been washed--we even had another guest pointing this out for us. In the end we had to just leave because they wouldn't take no for an answer. It put a real dampener on it, as up until that point it had been our best stay. Great location, good food, friendly staff (not the lying housekeepers!)--but make sure you say if your sheets are already coloured, in case they try to charge you!

this is a complete gem of a resort. nothing bad to say at all. prices are very good for what you get. big clean bungalows. large restaurant. clean pool. friendly staff. being at this resort makes you feel at home. a complete 10 out 10 expierence. we were planning on only staying here for four days.. but we ended up staying for 10 days. we stayed on koh phangan this long only because of lime and soda!!

Basic rooms perfect for solo travelers”

my favorite place to stay in koh phangan but not ideal for long term more than 4 days. the rooms are basic, some bungalows have flushable toilets ( some you have to pour water on it but at least it's not a squat toilet). it's supposed to be eco friendly so there is no hot water but totally tolerable. beware as some of the bathrooms have no proper insulation so mosquitos and bugs get in. staff is very friendly and lots of activities to be had on the resort. the beach is nice, fairly clean and quite. its not close to the full moon party and about a 200 baht ride round trip. you don't want to stay in haad rin anyway it's too loud and dirty plus the food there is overpriced. lime and soda is a 7 min walk away from the night market with great thai food and close to other restaurants. if they had a fridge in the room and some shelves maybe i would book this place for long term.

Had a lovely at Lime n Soda Beachfront Resort. Bungalow was perfect, ate in the restaurant 4 times during our stay and the food was delicious. Staff very friendly and helpful. Beautiful views, had a wonderful stay overall! :)

My favourite hotel on my trip to Thailand overall.Superb Value and great location.We barely left the resort due to the fantastic staff.I dont think you will get many better hotels on Koh Phangnan.For the price and location it was brilliant.The staff literally became our friends.Very attentive and are very friendly.Nothing was any trouble for them.I will be staying here again.Coco (one of the managers) is a credit to the hotel and made my stay there very enjoyable.Thank You Lime And Soda!!!

Friendly staff, clean room, right on the beach”

We stayed at the Lime n Soda for three nights during our spring break vacation. We were able to arrange for transportation from the pier, which was helpful with two young children and a lot of gear. One of the reasons we picked the LNS was that the room was large enough to accommodate us and our kids in the same room and within our budget. The room was clean, cold air con, functional bathroom. The kids had a great time playing on the beach...shallow, clear and calm enough for them to search for shells, crabs, and swim a little without us having to worry they would get knocked over by the incoming tide or surprised by anything swimming in sea. The staff was very helpful and attentive. They were especially kind to our kids...which helped us relax and enjoy our vacation. Most of the other guests were single adults, but the night life was pretty mellow...they played good music at the bar/restaurant but not so loud we couldn't sleep. Will stay there again if in Koh Phangan.

we booked at lime n soda for 1 night only thinking for the price it would be ordinary - wrong!! 10 days later and we are still here, it is the most beautiful resort with everything you need right at your door. the beach is perfect, clear clean water. all the staff are so friendly and can't do enough for you. we will return here. fantastic

Gorgeous resort, great facilities, but basic room”

we really enjoyed our stay at lime n soda. it was just the perfect distance from thongsala. it's about a 5 minute walk into town but far enough away to still feel the beachy atmosphere. we hired mopeds from there and saw a great deal of the island this way. the food in the restaurant was spectacular and very fairly priced. i would definitely stay again!

A great spot, whose manager Tony makes it the best”

We had a great time at Lime n Soda! We had some scheduling difficulties a couple of weeks prior to our arrival but were put in touch with Tony the manager who was very communicative and sure to make sure everything was worked out. Its at an ideal location on the water and close enough to town that it's not a hassle but secluded enough that it's really relaxing. We had a great experience that was made even better by Tony the manager who was such a warm and welcoming friend. He really brings the place to life with his personality. The on site restaurant made life so much easier as well. A great time overall!

We had an absolutely fantastic weekend staying at Lime and Soda. The staff were truly amazing and accommodated every request we had. They even allowed us to put on our own music in the bar which had all the other guests dancing in the daytime! We had some delicious western food that was really reasonably priced. The beach was lovely and the resort had a great pool. We honestly cannot wait to get back to Lime and Soda!

Shaken up & well served ”

This is the second time in as many months that I've stayed at lime n soda and still they have beaten expectations! Tony and his staff are wonderfully warm, and always welcoming. Tony knows his guests by name, and always has time for a chat (and a cheeky drink). The location is superb, and the hotel and surrounds are very clean. Very lucky to stay there and feel like I've made new friends in the staff. I highly rate this place and am keen to come back next year if time permits.

Full of activity and good service”

We love Lime n Soda, this is our third or fourth visit. Great beach location , filled with young backpackers and families. The total staff are helpful and friendly, always pleasant. Bar and restaurant are great and the grounds are carefully looked after every day. The town food markets are pretty close and a good mix of cafes in the town. Rooms and bathrooms are basic with the plumbing sometimes needing some love and attention ( perhaps the odd mattress replaced) We'll be back again next year for sure. BIG disappointment is the state of the foreshore, it's a great beach but broken bottles and rubbish left as if no one cares about the dangers of getting a foot cut, plus it's unsightly in an otherwise delightful location.
