Surprisingly lovely and spacious!”

Stayed here for 2 nights in April and had really great time at these small family run boutique resort. We have booked 3 different room types for 6 ppl. I would recommend the "deluxe seaview" for any couple on honeymoon trip, you will find a room on the 2nd floor with super huge private balcony and a giant hammock. The delux seaview's balcony was the largest we've ever had during the whole trip. Just laid back on the hammock with a cold beer, watch the sunset....that's the happiest moment of my life.. The 'deluxe pool access' is a good for both honeymoon and friends trip. The room was good size and lovely. You can jump to the pool directly from your room. The 'deluxe pool view' has the same features as the 'deluxe pool access', except you will get a lovely balcony instead of the pool side. Food was good and bar/restuarant staff very friendly and polite. Were very helpful and full of tips on how to save on transportation cost. The only complain is that, there is none of night staff at the lobby during 1-7am. We have lost one of our room key at half-moon party, we got back at 6 am. and really need to get them to open the room for us. The hotel receptionist is away and the only lobby door is locked! (I know we should have leave our key at the lobby. i wouldn't blame them for not being there tho) We have read a lot of negative reviews for this place and was a little skeptical at first. Surprisingly we loved this place so much! well this hidden gem suits us just fine but others may have higher expectations. We would definitely recommend this place the anyone who want a lil sweet escape with attentive warm family style service and those who travel with not so high budget. Staff made the visit a paradise”

we wanted an hotel that was not too close to civilization and we then found the see through boutique resort online, and it all sounded perfect. after about 5 days perfect grew from perfect to superb. the staff in this hotel is really friendly and the restaurant which is located at the beach delivers fantastic food. booking taxis etc. was no problem at all, the staff had a taxi ready in only 5-10min. amazing place with a really good laid back feelin'.

Great receptionist, great beach”

Great, Haad Salad beach is the beach to stay in if you dont mind staying far away from the Full moon party. It's a long taxi ride(30-40min) to the fmp costing about 200B per person. The beach is quite crowded compared to the other beaches in koh phangnan, which is near empty. See through resort's receptionist is one of the best i have see so far in my years of travelling experience. She goes out of her way to help you, She regularly checks on our well-being and provides good rapport with the guests. Talk to her, joke with her, She will enjoy it.

Great little hotel with an intimate touch”

Good: 1- ground floor units have balconies opening directly to the extra long pool that stretches the length of the resort building. 2- rooms are clean, neat and cozy. 3- the beach restaurant is lovely. Especially during the evenings where it becomes really intimate. 4- hotel staff are really helpful and friendly. Bad: 1- all rooms face the Haad Yao Bungalows just next door which kind of ruins the view 2- call this resort before arriving - they claimed to not have received my booking through Agoda. 3- far from Full Moon Party (at Haad Rin north beach) so going to and coming back from the party can take an hour via the tuk-tuk that insist of filling up with party-goers before leaving. I would gladly return to this hotel again. It just so cozy.

Wonderful hotel with a cool pool”

We stayed a week at See Through at low season and would've stayed longer had we not booked a trip to Koh Tao. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. We got our laundry done and rented a jeep - both at very reasonably prices. They also played a lot with our 11 month old son and helped us with hot water for his meals. The hotel's restaurant was very good and hade a wide range of food. The room was just big enough for the three of us and very tidy. Good offering of TV channels. AC too cold and hade just on/off mode working. The Deluxe Pool Access room was really , really nice! Pool was excellent. All in all - we are very satisfied and will return.

Great 6-night stay”

We stayed for 6 nights, through the Full Moon Party. The location is a bit remote (more remote than we were led to believe through hotel self-marketing). Unless you can drive a scooter (which can be rented for 250 baht/day from the hotel), you won't be able to go anywhere. There is a 7/11 right down the street and a couple of beach bars within walking-distance. If you are looking for more central location with plenty of bars, restaurants, and sightseeing around - then I'd recommend finding a place in Haad Rin or Bantai Beach instead. Otherwise, the staff was very helpful and the rooms were great. Its possible that our room had bed-bugs. I woke up with bites, but its equally possible that I was actually bitten elsewhere. The hotel is only around 75% finished so I assume the room rates will jump once it nears completion.

quiet location”

seems like a newish resort. we had the standard bungalows. its actually located just accross the road from main building. NO internet in these rooms. ONLY MAIN BUILDING. No TV also. room itself was fine. there are 4 bungalows there spaced apart. so bit of privacy. main resort has an awesome long pool. probably be the only one swimming in it. restaurant is on the beachfront. found the food to be very good and reasonably priced. see thru kitchen so can see that the food is freshly prepared each day. the beach itself is average. swimable (we didn't ) but there are far better beaches to swim at if you get on a motorbike and tour around. motorbikes are 250b p day. remember to wear your helmut if you have travel insurance or they wont pay in case of accident. good hospital located nearby at Thong Sala that i can recommend if you have an issue. I was having migraines for a week and got checkedup there ( coz they gave ct & mri ability etc). all in all happy with the stay. wanted a bit of isolation and got it.

Great Hotel, beautiful beach”

We were only going to stay a few nights but fell in love with the bar on the beach and decided to stay the full week. If you are looking for the action of haad rin this is not the place to stay but if you want to still have fun and have peace then this is definitely for you. We took the advice of a previous review and stayed in the sea view room, which is large and spacious and have a large balcony. Although the shower was not good, in the warm climate this was not an issue. The staff were friendly and helpful and made our stay very comfortable.

Great Place, Quiet Beach, Friendly Staff”

stayed here for 4 nights before full moon party. the beach is very nice, quiet, and there is a good selection of restaurants to choose from at night. very close to the 7/11 (1-2 mins) which is great asset for buying cheap drinks or snacks. this is a little more pricey area of the island as you are about 45 mins from haad rin. food at the hotel was good, the breakfast was pretty standard for thailand, and can get boring after a couple days unless you religiously each eggs and toast. stayed in a room on the 2nd floor, great size, good amenities, value was good compared to other hotels. very clean and well kept, also fairly new so that does help. staff was friendly, although english is definitely 2nd or 3rd language. highly recommend for those looking to escape the chaos.

Good value, wouldn't recommend standard bungalows”

I had a brief stay here so didn't get a major impression of the services, staff, etc. Overall it was good value, though I stayed in other places in Koh Phangan that were the same price for nicer rooms. I booked the Standard Bungalow which was actually across the street from the main hotel area, reception, and beach. The standard bungalows were pretty basic, and if staying here again I would prefer to spend a bit more to have the other garden bungalows or pool access/view rooms. There was also no internet in standard bungalows but it was accessible in all other rooms. The pool is unique, however one problem with it is that, unless you book the "pool access" room category, you can't really lounge next to the pool since the only sunchairs and deck space available is reserved for the Pool Access room guests.

Great Hotel and super staff!”

WE have stayed only for one night because we had to go to the other beach to our friends, but It was sad to leave it. The lady on the reception was super friendly and helpful, gave us an upgraded pool access room, cause we ve only stayed for one night. The beach is beutiful, the restaurant is also great. I would recommend this hotel to any one who stays in Haad Yao beach. Great rooms for the money. Absolutely great!

The pleasures of staying on the sunset beach”

When checked-in we weren't super wowed. As a family with 8 year old kid we took twin room, but the beds aren't queen size, they are twin & not really comfortable to share with a kid. The rooms were clean, not sparkling. Air conditioner a bit noisy. But that eas our first day in Thailand and we were picky. But when we went barefooted to the beach, dipped our feet in the see while having a very nice sunset dinner in a most beautiful restaurant on the beach - we knew exactly why this hotel is valued so much - because the restaurant adjacent to it makes it a 5 star resort. Next day staff upgraded us to a bigger room with an extra bed for the kid. Moved us to a 2nd floor, which I liked because we did not use the pool much whent the most amazing beach is steps away. Ended up staying here for a week & will be back. Staff was great, super friendly & caring to all our needs. A small town with 7/11, a couple other restaurants & breakfast places are right outside the hotel too.

See through hotel Ko Phangan”

See through hotel is a good choice for couples and groups of friends/family as it has a great swimming pool and restaurant. Front of house staff consisted of a very competent young woman, who had a friendly manner and was very efficient. At times reminders were needed about bottled water and a non existent minibar, which i never use anyway...i would give this hotel the thumbs up for a mid range hotel with a fantastic beach

Location, ”

This is a great place to stay in Koh Phangan away from the hubbub of the parties, which are easily accessible by taxi but won't disturb you if you want a early night. The rooms are dated but clean, with basic amenities. The hotel staff left a little to be desired, but the restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel and restaurant are conveniently located on a quiet an beautiful beach, Haad Yao.

Great restaurant and lounge, rooms not so much”

Far from a "boutique" by most standards, you get what you pay for at this hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, and for the most part things are decently maintained. However, the rooms [and sheets] are always sandy (even when freshly cleaned, which only happens every second day); the beds are very hard; no beach towels are provided; the showers deliver only a small amount of lukewarm water; there are no screens on the windows and the mosquitos are prevalent b/c of the standing water in the neighboring lot. The staff is friendly and responsive, but that is not helpful at 2am when your a/c goes out. Next door the dogs bark at a constant rate. On the upside, this stretch of beach is lovely and away from the craziness of Hat Rin while still being accessible. There is a 7/11 practically next door, as well as a travel agent. The restaurant is excellent with great breakfast included with your room. The guys who run the restaurant are helpful and laid back, you are welcome to chill there all day in the hammocks. There is really no access space for lounging around the pool, its more of a decorative feature. Still, for the we paid (at Full Moon), its probably a good deal.

Best location on the beach!”

Room was pretty basic, a few gaps in doors and windows which could have caused a late night bug chase! It didn't! I loved the man on reception nutti I think he was called, so helpful and funny. Pool was great for swimming lengths in the morning. Had a lovely balcony over looking it. My favourite bit was the beach front. It was so well maintained and they cleaned the beach and swept it. Food is delicious and well priced. When the sun goes down the beach is lit up beautifully. See through's restaurant is by far the cutest with all its pretty lights. I loved it. Wish I had stayed longer. Breakfast was delicious too.

A slice of paradise on a beautiful beach !!”

A home away from home and the quintessential idea of paradise. I had a great stay and despite injuring my right foot I was well looked after by June, Tong and Jack. I will be back and would certainly recommend this hotel (and Haad Yao beach) for singles or a romantic getaway.

Great stay, nice place and quiet”

Great boutique hotel. Nice lofty style room. Pool direct access rooms are nice. Upstairs rooms have view of the pool but not a direct pool access. There's also a deluxe room on top of the restaurant part with direct view of the sea and with a huge patio. The restaurant and the beachfront bar are nice. Directly on the beach. Great relaxing chill out vibe set up. Lots of shade from the trees. You could sit on the hammock or even at the tables all day starring at the sea. Western and Thai foods on the menu. Thai foods here isn't as good as some other thai restaurants I've been to. The western foods are alright. Drinks are strong however! The bartender is quite generous with the hard liquor for those cocktails. Overall, a small, nice, clean and quiet boutique beachfront hotel on Haad Yao. Secret beach is nearby. None of the rooms (except one on top of the restaurant in the front) are actually beachfront, although have direct pool access.

Excellent”

Overall experience from this hotel was really good, nice and clean room, very good breakfast with morning ocean view was a "killing" combination. But be cearfull with taxi when going to pier. We booked one on 6am paid ahead 200bath/person and nobody picked up us, so we had to stop some randome guy and he was very kind and tak us to the Phangan pier...at the and...hapyend

Good value for money”

Staff not particularly helpful. Guest has to ask for the room to be cleaned. Poor breakfast and restaurant not particularly good, there are better options in Haad Yao. Anyway, hotel is ok for the price. Very nice pool.
