Can't fault it!”

If I was writing about solely the building of the Ivory Phi Phi, I would find little fault with it. However, I feel compelled to review it's surroundings as well to give a complete picture and I have to say that it was less than perfect. The hotel itself has wonderful friendly and helpful staff! On all occassions we were greeted with a smile and the staff went out of their way to make us comfortable during our stay. We booked ferry tickets through them, got local information from them and were allowed a late check-out on the day of our departure. The rooms were slightly small but very clean and comfortable. The main selling feature for us was the Free WIFI- which was difficult to find in other accomodations on the island in our price range. My only complaint about the room is that the A/C is directly above the bed and only a thin sheet is offered as a blanket. The staff did bring an extra sheet to put on the bed but A/C was still too cold during the night. Another big plus was that the hotel offers free beach towels and the beach is a very short walk away! Very convenient! The location of the hotel was very noisy. The restaurant in the hotel was directly below our room and we could hear people talking and music at all times during the day and night. The bars next door played loud music until after midnight. Also, a building directly beside the hotel has construction going on which was very random (starting 7am and ending sometimes around midnight). The partying and loud voices/music often went on until well into the early morning. I didn't get a good night sleep on any night of our stay on the island. I would recommend this hotel as good value for money but would caution anyone wanting to stay there about the environmental noise. I don't think it would be a problem for anyone who is a sound sleeper or who wants to participate in the nightly parties. Wonderful, clean little gem”

we arrived at the ivory hotel not knowing a lot about koh phi phi. the hotel manager was wonderful and made sure that we got a thorough tour of the room and that we were familiar with the top sights of the island. each night when we returned to our room, we felt like we'd found a relaxing oasis. the rooms are simple, with a double bed, air conditioner (didn't realize how nice this is until it was so humid) and a good-sized tv. there is ample hot water and a well laid out bathroom. we would definitely stay here again!!

Great No Frills Hotels - SUPER CLEAN”

This hotel is remarkably comfy and clean. When I was booking my hotel in Phi Phi, I realised the hotels in Phi Phi are mostly shabby and very expensive. However as I saw the pictures of Ivory and read that it was only built in 2009, I booked immediately. And it was exactly how I thought it would be. The rooms are small but nicely laid out so not inconvinient at all even though we were three staying in one room. The cleanliness was spooky (lets hope they manage to keep it like this). There was LCD TV (quite surprising for a 2 star hotel). The price is great and because it's centrally located, walking to either of the beaches or pier or the restaurants is easy. I really have nothing negative to say about this place. And the receptionist was very nice as well.

"From My stay at Ivory, Phi Phi Island. It was the best time of my trip in Thailand. The service and the room were good value of money, eventhough the hotel was rated at 2 star but what I have experienced was the 4-5 star service. The room was clean and there was internet which was awesome! The food was great and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I truly recommend if anyone wants to check this place out, and they also help out with the boat tickets and other activities."

Amazing! Best place in Phi Phi!”

Me and my boyfriend stayed here when we were holidaying with friends in February! To say that the service was amazing would be an understatement. My last visit to phi phi I stayed in a 5 star resort and the ivory outdid them in every aspect! The rooms were clean, well equipped, in a great position and comfortable! If there was something it didn't have or that I needed Juey, the manager at the front desk, would go out of her way to get it for me! Sho, the cleaner, was polite and thorough and both employees were friendly and very caring! They definitely went beyond their job requirements to make my experience enjoyable! Check in and check out was a breeze and security was amazing, I felt very safe! I would recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone, will definitely be staying here on return! Clean and good service”

We stayed in the hotel for two nights. It was a wonderful experience. The hotel is within 5 min walk from Ton Sai Bay where the ferry from Phuket parks. There are many stalls in front of the hotel where you can have some local food. As for the room, it is very clean and functional. No extra deco but very comfortable. The lady owner was very kind to help us call our friends in another hotel and recommend day trips for us. The wifi was also very good compared to Phi Phi Hotel where you have to pay for laggy wifi.

I stayed here for 17 nights. I really liked it, very friendly staff, very clean with cleaning every day. Good aircon, safety box. Located just in the end of the food market. Koh Phi Phi is a bit of a party island, but at this hotel you hear little to none of that! The only thing I would have liked was a refrigerator because of the length of my stay. Friendly/welcoming staff. Bright/clean/small rooms”

Ivory is conveniently located near the market and pier, yet not too close to rowdy bars so much quieter than nearby hotels. Staff were friendly. Rooms are bright, clean, had good air conditioning and an in-room safe, which is especially importat for beach destinations. Fairly small, but more than adequate. All accommodation on Kho Phi Phi Dom is more expensive than most locations in southern Thailand and given this, Ivory is reasonably priced.

Clean room in a good location”

ivory phi phi was a good place to stay, it's less than a 5 min walk to the beach, and it's not too far from the night scene. the room was spacious enough and nicely decorated, and clean! (i stayed in rak)the family in the front was very friendly and helpful. i booked my tour and my ferry tickets through them. at night, there is no security, but you have to scan your key in order to open the downstairs door. the only bad thing was the noise, not from the street but from other people staying at ivory. russian yelling at 6am is not a nice wake up call. my package included breakfast, but breakfast was only a piece of toast/croissant, and a drink. i always ordered eggs on the said which costs an additional. also, the breakfast place was about a 7 minute walk away! not very convenient. on the third morning i didn't even bother going, just went to a closer cafe instead.

excellent location in phi phi”

i must say, when i first saw my room, i was...concerned. the manager, mister pichet, is sooo kind and generous, he offered me the internet a breakfast in compensation for my complain of the size of the room. i realized later, that for what i paid, the room was really good though, i compared my friends choices and realized that for phi phi my room was very very very correct and clean. the islands aro so beautiful and i will be forever thankful with his staff making my stay in the island an unforgettable moment in my life. i will definetely chose the same place if i ever come back. i recommend again and again! price, location and service!

Comfortable stay in clean, centralized hotel”

The Ivory was a clean, comfortable hotel that is only about 8 minutes walking distance from the ferry. The staff spoke excellent English, friendly and was attentive for the most part. The hotel is located away from the loud clubs/bars that go until early morning. Phi Phi is safe even though the streets can be empty or dark in some spots. The bathroom and bedroom were very clean. Air conditioning worked well. The pictures on Agoda and the hotel site are touched up or were at the time the hotel was new. The room looks kind of similar, but is much more worn and dated. The safe is a bit old and I had problems opening and closing it with my code. The wifi does not stay connected and you have to login each time you use it with the signal often being weak in the room or not working at all. The front desk is only there until about 7pm. Despite the negatives, I would stay here again as it was clean, safe and quiet in a good location close to numerous restaurants, shopping and dive shops/tours.

overall had a very enjoyable stay at the ivory phi phi. it is very close to the port (no signs but you can ask and almost everyone knows) and located in the center of the markets. the place is very clean and the air conditioning is very strong. cons about the hotel are the staffs ability to speak english (but they are very nice). would definitely recommend ivory phi phi! and absolutely recommend going to ko phi phi. so beautiful!

Ivory Phi Phi”

IVORY is a very decent option on Phi Phi, particularly given the very low price. Location is very good, next to the market, close to the pier and the beach but quiet. The hotel is new and clean, the bathroom looks nice. The room is small and basic but represents a great value for money and you should be happy staying there for a few days unless you're after luxuries. We particularly appreciated the free wi-fi which is not a standard even in much more expensive hotels.

Lovely hotel with good service”

Phi Phi Ivory is a really cute little hotel. There are about 10 rooms all decorated very modernly. It is located in front of the market really close to the ferry so you dont have to walk that far when you get off the ferry. The service is quite good also. If I go back to Phi Phi I will definately stay at Ivory. Good price too.

Simple but lovely”

Ivory Phi Phi's an extremely homely environment with very pleasant and friendly staff.Not only is the place new and clean,the location's fantastic! Just opposite is the world's best phad thai shop,down the road 1 min is a local foodstall selling the imo the planet's best fried chicken! It's also conveniently located just outside the hustle and bustle of Phi Phi ie. away from all the noise.Great affordable place to stay in.highly recommended!

Nice, clean, quite hotel in central location”

Ivory Phi Phi was nice place to stay on the busy island of Koh Phi Phi. It is centrally located but far enough away from the noisy bars to allow for a quite night rest. AC worked well and the place was clean. Manager was very friendly and helpful. We organized a group snorkel trip on our own long tail boat for a large group through the hotel and everything went smoothly with good price. We would stay here again.

Ivory Phi Phi Island Hotel”

Phi Phi is a great holiday destination and I especially enjoyed staying at the Ivory. The staff were lovely and very helpful, I was very impressed with the price which I got through Agoda. The food I ate there was good too. My favourite activity was an afternoon snorkelling trip, on a large boat, that inlcuded monkey island and "The Beach" movie location.

A very good choice for Phi Phi”

I've been to Phi Phi 4 times before and was looking for a hotel just like this. In the central village area near all the restaurants and bars, but still good value. Phi Phi has been getting more and more expensive recently and this is a nice place to stay to keep costs down. You don't get things like a pool, but with beaches so close by it doesn't really matter. The room is pretty small, but that isn't really a big issue for us as we only really shower and sleep in the hotel. Highly recommended if you don't need a pool.

We had a really good stay at Ivory - the only thing I would complain about was the price for what it was...but that’s phi phi for you! Everywhere is expensive! But definitely worth staying if you’re in a couple and you’re not there to party. Unfortunately the people next door to us in the hotel were there to party...but before I could tel them to turn the music down someone already did, so it wasn’t an issue really - and that wasn’t the hotel’s fault. Hotel is very central, about 3 mins walk for the pier and with a little food market opposite. Nice place for a couple in phi phi, looking to see some of the sights!

Great little hotel ”

we were very pleased with our stay at ivory phi phi. the rooms were nice and clean. the staff was extremely helpful. it was a short walk to the beach and the hotel had towels that we could take to the beach. the hotel was also located in a quiet part of town so there was no noise at night when we were trying to sleep.
