Good place for a stopover.”

I had no problems with Panorama hotel. The staff were really good. The room was was fairly well used but clean and comfortable. My room had some noise from the road but that was to be expected. Good parking for the motorbike. Very nice rice soup with some kind of bread and coffee for breakfast. The location is easy walking distance to the pond in the centre of town where the vendors are at night. Evening in downtown Mae Hong Son is very beautiful.

Great location with new rooms”

Highly recommended for those who wanna visit Mae hong son.. Everywhere is within walking distance for those who stay at this hotel. The new wing built is very clean. The heater produce hot water compare to other hotels which I've stay before in Mae hong son. Overall a good experience. Will book this hotel again if I ever visit Mae hong son again.

Good location and most friendliest staff”

The hotel is in great location.Its very near to the local market. I reached Mae Hong Son very late, at about 10pm. The staff was very helpful in helping me to check into the room and also providing me with some local information. Special thanks must be given to the owner of the hotel, Mr Joe, who is so friendly and hospitable in taking me around mae hons son town showing me all the scenic spots of mae hong son. Recommendation: Room needs to be cleaned before customer checks in. The bathtub and toilet is dusty when i check in.

This hotel has a great location. Right in the middle of Mae Hong Son and walking distance to everything.......but I wouldn't recommend it. It's old and tired and needs a good renovation. The staff was great and so were the facilities. They also have a very inexpensive breakfast.....but I'm sure you can get better value in Mae Hong Son.

Good location, kind of overpriced ”

This was the cheapest option we could find for a last minute trip to Mae Hong Son. We ended up walking around after and finding much cheaper places but for way less amenities. The hotel is very easy to find. The wifi was down the two days we were there so I can't comment on that but we went across the street to a good coffee shop to use their wifi. It's centrally located. Less than a 10 minute walk to the "lake" and around the corner from the best fried chicken restaurant, N&J's.

Great location, clean room, but very dark rooms”

the location of the hotel is perfect for a short stay in mae hong son, close to all the temples and there's a little market around the back of the hotel. good view from the window too. the rooms were clean and comfortable, air con, private bathroom, hot shower. but the hotel and rooms are very dark and pretty shabby. ok for a night but not for a long stay.

Excellent location in the middle of town”

This hotel has a new and old building on opposite sides of the main road. I was put on the top floor in the old building. The wooden theme of the old building was nice although the wood colour made the room seem less spacious. The room was clean and interior was ok except there were little things that didn't work in our room such as cupboard door and bathroom door couldn't close fully, sink tap not installed properly causing it to swing left/right as the tap was turned and the chain lock on the door frame could not be fitted to the door. Everything worked well in this room. I was told this old building is slowly going through phases of renovation, from the lower floors to the upper floors. 3rd floor had just been renovated and should be much nicer presumably. The hotel staff were all very nice and helpful. The hotel is located right in the middle of downtown, surrounded by a few local eatery shops, 5 mins walk to the morning market, 10 mins walk to the tourism office, 10 mins walk to the night market and the lake, 2km from the airport and most major temples in the town were within 15 mins walking distance. Free wifi only available at the hotel lobby, not in the room. This hotel has no lift. If you have problem walking the stairs, try to get a lower floor room. We didn't eat at the hotel so couldn't comment. We booked a day tour with the hotel and our driver cum guide turned out to be the courteous and good English speaking owner of the hotel, Joe. He gave us lots of good information, took us to additional places not in the originally prescribed route and was flexible with time. We had a great day out. Good value for money overall.

Good rooms impractical fliors.”

We were given a room on level 4 or 3 whichever is the highest. Withouta lift and with a 2 1/2 year old in hand it did not work for us. We moved to the lovely Piya Guest House the same day. The staff at Panorama is very helpful. The owner/manager Joe is very courteous. The rooms are fairly spacious and clean, the bathrooms are squeaky clean. The hotel is close to the city centre. Its good if you are all adults.

Verg disappointed”

When I booked, Agoda mentionned "Breakfast free" and I checked in the owner said that the breakfast is not includec. He showed me Agoda reversation which mentionned "only room" which means no breakfast. Which is very dishonest from Agoda. The room was really awful. Very old furnitures. Even no one chair in the room! The shower door did not close properly. For 600B excluding breakfast, one can find much better in Mae Hong Son.

A lovely small hotel in a great location”

I had a wonderful time during my stay at Panorama. The standard room is clean,with a balcony.The staffs are very friendly and helpful.They are always happy to help me when I asked for help. The location is the best, right in the middle of the town.You can walk up to Pra Thart Doi Kong Moo or the night market easily.

the location of the hotel is nice. the staff is very helpful, give all details about the tourist attraction. we all appreciate a lot. no wifi in the room, air con and hot water work very well also the hotel location is near seven-eleven and many restaurant and food shop is around. night time , also have the small walking street; very nice atmosphere

Friendly people”

A quite little town. A quite little hotel. Staff are very accommodating and would go to great length to see my stay worthwhile. Good location. I was on a biking trip to the 1864 Corners but somehow forgot to get my cert from the local council. An email to the hotel staff sorted things out. Check out the elevator for lugagges. Cool ;)

Well placed in town, but dark and dingy”

Stayed here as usual place fully booked so we know hotels in Maehongson, Panorama appears to be primarily for Thais, it is well made but totally decked out in wood with low ceilings making it dark and uninviting. The rooms are similarly finished with the usual problem of no plug sockets near a mirror. There was a fridge which was welcome and limited TV coverage, the bathroom was falling to pieces and needed a new door ! It could be a nice hotel, rooms are big and the potential is there to attract the modern traveller if the beautiful area becomes more popular, hopefully on a personal note it will take some time but we wish the hotel well.

One night only. A little off town center but is just behind the local wet market. Short walk down to the lake. Reception is across the road where you stay. Under construction. Room is big and new. Hot shower included. Worth a stay if you are not spending much time in the hotel. Quiet at night.

The right choice”

the back-side rooms are quiet with view toward the mountains. they have big size, designed in a typical northern style (with much wood). located in the center of the town.

Value for money for a place to rest at the end of the day”

Hotel is about 2.6km from the bus station, 500 meters from People's Lake, and about 3 min drive to the airport. Location not far from the lake where everyone is at night. The kind lady who runs the place is very welcoming and friendly. We just used the place for rest at night and we were out all day exploring. There is also a car park for hotel guests if you rent a car/bike.

Panorama Hotel is in a good location, but the price of the rooms does not match the quality. I found the rooms to be rather dated and slightly uncomfortable.

nice standard hotel”

the hotel was nice and clean, stayed 1 night in a twin room. large bathroom. tv with some english channels. basic breakfast: 2 toast, 2 eggs and choise of coffee and tea. the hotel is situated at the main road through the city. at the trafficlights, turn left, there you'll find some shops, restaurants. walking distance to night market.

the hotel of many mirrors”

We were happy to stay at this hotel because of its location, the size of the room, on site motorbike parking and friendliness of the staff. The bathroom was also clean and the shower a pleasant experience! The only downsides were the noise coming from the corridor due to the acoustics of the building. Our room was at the top floor next to the lift, which sounded like the engine of a big motorbike. Although the room and bathroom were clean and the beds nicely presented, we were unsure whether the bottom sheets had been washed as they were very crumpled, had stains on them and hairs in them. However, as it was quite late and we were tired, we didn't check with the staff, so we are not sure about this.
