A three star hotel at a one star price”

My wife and I wanted to visit Jomtien Beach. I was able to look at several hotels on the internet, using Agoda services. The Boathouse had favorable reviews and the pictures were attractive - especially the dining area. I decided that if it were half as good as reported it was a bargain at the price quoted. So I booked it for $138 for 5 nights. It certainly lived up to my expectations. The front desk knew all about my booking. The room was all ready and then we visited the dining facilities. They had a nice collection of western dishes as well as Thai. We spent very pleasant 5 nights there and I would certainly recommend it to my friends and will stat there myself when I come to Jomtien again.

the boathouse location on jomtien beach is excellent.staff are friendly and helpful. rooms are small,but very clean.rooms at the back are quiet bet as thai's tend to stop pickup's on the beach side at night,and play music very loud.i have experienced this over the years,and now always choose a room at the rear. restaurant downstairs serves very nice food,bit on expensive side,but big portions. also the room rates are good value,breakfast not included,but plenty of choice nearby.

Good value for money”

if you stay here, try to get a room facing the beach. the garden view rooms only overlook a dust bowl,not a garden, and some garden view rooms have very noisy air con units right under the window. restuarant and staff are great, close to the beach which is not as bad as pattaya. usual pestering by beach sellers but i still recommend this as a good, fair priced place to stay in jomtien.

Clean, comfortable and affordable”

My third time at Jomtien Boathouse, and again had clean, comfortable room for a great price. Other two times I was in (cheaper) rear-facing room. This time was in more expensive beach- and road-facing room due to other rooms sold out. I much prefer rear-facing room as MUCH quieter. Beach-facing room: during the day jet-ski noise, at night some idiot(s) with loud music, woke me up at 200am. Next time will definitely hope for rear-facing room.

Great position”

Value for money, great position right on the beach road and clean rooms at this medium budget hotel, I usually stay in the guesthouses for around 600tbh per night, but staying at the Jomtien Boathouse was well worth the extra cost.

nice hotel right on the sea front 10 baht buses to pattaya and jomtien beach. Goon food pizzas really good. Great staff only complaint no tea and coffee in room however 7-11 2mins away.

a great hotel worth staying”

My husband & I stayed at 4th storey sea-view room, no lift but the staircase doesn't have many steps, so still manageable. This hotel is very well located, near a few 24-hour convenient stores, night market, bike rental shop, road side eating stores, etc. The place is very safe, and very windy at night due to it's location. I personally prefer to stay in Jomtien beach area rather than Pattaya beach area..

Waiting for my crown to be made for broken tooth so I wandered down to Jomtien for a few days and to see a friend I worked with in London many years ago.. Laid back and peaceful there.. Hotel is just across the road from the beach. Not a modern 5 star establishment but is cheap and good value for money.. Hot water was never really hot (tepid maybe) but at 30+% outside, didn’t really need it.. Food at restaurant is quite good... my second time there..

Better than average for Jomtien”

This is a step above the average Pattaya/Jomtien guest house in that the room was recently renovated to a western standard. Bath appointments, the bed, and cabinets were all newer and cleaner than what you would find in most neighboring properties. That said, this is still a far cry from an actual resort hotel, which are also available nearby. There is no pool or recreation area of any kind. The beach, however, is right across the road.

Elvis Show X 2”

Great to be back at the Boathouse, 10 years since our last visit and still great. Nice room with a sea view, well worth extra, great food in the Restaurant and we got to see the Elvis show two nights running now its the beginning of the tourist season. It suits us, on the beach for a walk before breakfast, on the main transport route if you need to go into Pattaya.

Beachfront location and good service”

I should start with the fact that I wouldn't recommend visiting Jomtien for a couple. Given that you want to go here anyway, Jomtien Boathouse is a good location to spend the nights. It is located across the road from the sea, has nice rooms and a good restaurant on the ground floor. The only con is that rooms have a very poor noise protection.

Great hotel with excellent staff!”

Wifi needs a serious overhaul. AC seems to be nearly ready for some TLC too. End of the 3rd floor was non-exisitent wifi on multiple devices. Moved my room nearer to router and OK. Restaurant and Reception are top notch and housekeepers are really sweet. Across the street beach chairs from "Toon" and "A" are one of my favorites places ever. Years ago their 10 year old had to rescue me when I fell of my jet ski - ha, maybe he was 8! Night market a few blocks down the street is a nice new addition and have had some great snacks there. Enjoy, Boathouse is a great place! Buck up for seaview - it's worth it!

Clean and close to the beach”

This hotel is perfect placed on Jomtien Beach. Close to everything. The rooms are clean, the bed is big (2 adults and 1 child - 4 years in same bed). The staff is friendly and the food is good.

Had what I needed with beach view”

Great beach view balcony for a great price, away from noisy Pattaya but easy to get around by tuktuk truck. There is no pool, elevator, parking, or included breakfast. Those things are not important to me so this hotel was great with great price. Can't beat it for beach front rental.

Perfect beach position”

Perfect position for us, the beach was across the road and perfect for my 5 year old daughter. The hotel was clean and the rooms spacious (TV had the Euro 2012 football tooooo) requested adjacent rooms for my mother in law!!!! and this was done. We enjoyed the hotel and resort so much we extended our booking to stay a few extra days.Jomtien is still a family resort area, although 'Pattaya' is encroaching a little.

Okay hotel with a rip-off front restaurant”

The staff at the front restaurant were not very friendly. The moment you sit there, they force a menu in your hands and force you to buy something otherwise telling you to go to your room. The owner's son is a pleasant pompous chap. The security guard at night is very friendly. I was worried about bugs but didn't see any. The towels in the room didn't look very white, were slightly yellow. But for the price this seems a very good deal being right there at Soy 8 on Jomtien Beach.

Good hotel located next to Jomtien beach”

We only stayed two nights in Jomtien and found this hotel at a great price on Agoda. although not the newest and it doesn't have many amenities, it was a nice place. The main advantage is it's location directly opposite the beach and the restaurant downstairs.

clean , opposite jomtien beach. many eateries nearby. lots of seven elevens and family mart. easy to get anywhere by song tho. everyone knows the place including taxi guys so u cant really get lost

Garden view was not a garden.. but no big deal... if you must stay in the pattaya area this is a few miles from the crazy area.... room were clean,,, four floor walk up... but all clean...good help..... good food..

Great beach front location”

We really liked this hotel. It was very clean and the staff were friendly. The beach is right accross the road from the hotel and there are lots of restaurants and bars near by. The Songtaos can be caught right outside or just accross the road to go into Pattaya. The only problem for some people could be that there is no lift. We were on the 4th floor but didn't mind the stairs. Our room was at the back of the hotel and very quiet.
