Nice hotel across Pattaya Beach and Walking Street”
Lido Beach Hotel has a convenient location near Walking Street, and is located across the street from Pattaya Beach. A McDonalds and a popular Thai Restaurant sit on the sidewalk outside a narrow road that leads from the Beach Road to the hotel entrance. Ms. Ann and Ms. Pui, at the front desk, were very helpful and friendly. They also work as the waitresses during the light breakfast each morning. The hotel has FREE Wi-Fi and the rooms are quiet, located a fair distance from the famous nightlife, nightclubs and bars. I stayed on the 4th floor, in an apartment with a balcony that overlooks Pattaya Beach. There is no elevator, so you must climb a few flights of stairs, but remember this is a nice 3-star budget hotel, similar to the Honey Lodge Hotel also located nearby. The apartments are spacious, with a kitchen that has a dining table, refrigerator and utensils for cooking. The apartment also has a bathroom with a bathtub, a living room with sofas and chairs, and a private balcony to watch the sunrise and sunset over Pattaya Beach. Lido Beach Hotel offers great value compared to the more expensive, higher-quality Hard Rock Cafe and Hilton Hotels. My apartment was cleaned daily. When I locked my apartment key inside my apartment, Ms. Pui was very nice to ask the maid to unlock my door, which required her to go out of her way to climb up several flights of stairs. Again, there is no elevator, but the apartments offer excellent value, privacy, and a quiet rest from the busy nightlife and daily activities famous in Pattaya. Overall, I recommend Lido Beach Hotel for solo travelers, couples, and families.

Great price and service. Location is also great.”
I enjoyed my stay at Lido Beach Hotel. The hotel is in a great location near walking street, but because it's designed as sort of a horse shoe in an alley you rarely get the noise of people going to Walking Street which is very close to the hotel. For the price you I think you get a good value for your money, but don't expect an updated look and feel for the room, I can't complain. The wi fi was spotty during certain times but so is all wi fi in Thailand that I noticed. As you walk out of the hotel towards the street there is a McDonalds right on the corner, which probably explains why Lido doesn't serve anything after breakfast. Breakfast is simple but at a good value considering it was only an extra a night added to the room. If given the chance I would stay here again. The look of the rooms and hotel is a little dated, but given the price it's understandable, plus the staff is friendly and attentive and I would prefer that over an up to date hotel with rude staff.

I love this hotel!”
I have stayed at this hotel many times and I have never been disappointed. Down a side street of beach road, you can be out in Walking Street in a few minutes but can't hear any street/party noise in your room. The location is awesome because you don't need to take transport and can easily walk to most locations. I picked a bigger room that had a sitting area for watching TV which was nice and gave the room a more open feel. I did have a problem with the DVD player the first day, but it was repaired the next day after I told the front desk. I booked online and the rate included breakfast. Nothing spectacular, but it's nice to roll out of bed and get some coffee and an American breakfast without having to go out to the main road. I had tried a different hotel on one of my previous trips to Pattaya, but I came back to Lido and I wasn't disappointed.

Great place for a party ”
I stayed hear many years ago and I didn't really like the room I had. This time I was happy with my room, I wouldn't say it was large but it was comfortable. On check in the staff were quick, the hotel is only 30m from the start of Walking Street. This is where all the bars and Clubs are. Across the road from the hotel is what they call the beach, there are great restaurants all around you lots of shopping and best of all thousands of bars. Lido Beach Hotel great value for money in the best location to Walking Street.

Feels like an Apartment”
This is my "go-to" hotel in Pattaya. I've looked at other hotels in the area and none of them can beat the Lido for what I need. Privacy. Walking distance to beach/nightlife/restaurants. Efficient, friendly staff. Affordable prices. If it had a pool it would be more expensive, but that's not one of my requirements. I took a deluxe room which has a sitting area for TV watching when you need a break from the hectic action of Pattaya.

great location, clean rooms, very resonable price”
this is the second time i have stayed at lido beach. the price is great, the service is helpful and friendly. the breakfast is decent, although you don't have much of a choice when you include the breakfast with your room. i think the biggest drawback is that the hotel doesn't have a pool to relax in if you decide not to go to the beach. also, pattaya beach is not the greatest beach you will ever see, either. jomtien is a much better beach.

Perfect stay for bachelors ”
This was my ist trip in thailand >we landed at bangkok airport and took a cab from airport to pattaya. we came to pattaya lido beach and checked in. the best part for this hotel is that everything and every action is just a mins away from this hotel. 1) world famous walking street is like a min walking distance. beach is a min walking distance. all the restaurants and then main action is just a min walking distance. For me either coming with my friends or as a solo traveler I am pretty sure that I am going back to Lido beach hotel !! cheers

The Best Option”
This was my second time around in Pattaya and at Lido Beach Hotel. Needless to say, in all my forthcoming trips I will be staying at the same place. It is just so convenient-neat clean rooms and bathrooms and efficient housekeeping service.

Good for the price”
i enjoyed my stay at the lido beach hotel. it's right in the middle of it all and is situated at the end of a quiet, dead end street that is perpendicular to beach road just opposite the pattaya beer garden. mcdonald's is on the corner. walking street is nearby. good room service, breakfast, ac, cable tv and internet connectivity. if you've been on the road a while, it's a welcoming place to hang out for a few days. chill here or pay a lot more and stay somewhere else!

Good hotel at a reasonable price”
A small hotel with not much facilities to speak of. Safe deposit box available at the front desk if required. A decent sized room with old furniture but reasonably well maintained. Cleanliness is acceptable to me but others may find room for improvement. Water pressure and hot water are very good but the hot water does behave a little weird at times. Shampoo and shower gel are provided. Pillow and mattress are of average firmness, quite soft compared to other hotels in Pattaya. Hotel is hidden inside a small lane beside a Mcdonalds outlet which makes it quite quiet for its location. Just off the corner of Beach Road where walking street begins. Convenient stores, massages and food all easily accessible. Breakfast consists of fruits, toast, and choice of eggs and bacon. Able to request for personal preference(i.e. soft bacon and no tomatoes). Overall a very good price for its location. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Will stay here again when I come back.

Well Located Hotel”
This was my first time staying at the Lido. I chose it mainly because of the location and there was a good last minute price. Check-in was smooth and the lady was nice. The only non-smoking room available for the room type I booked was on the 4th floor, but there is no elevator in this hotel. She said there was a smoking room on the 2nd floor, I took that. It didn't smell too smokey. The room was pretty basic and felt a little run down. It was clean, though. There was no soap or other of the usual complimentary toiletries provided, so I had to go buy some soap! There was no safe in the room either. The bed was sufficiently comfortable, however. The best thing about this hotel is the location. Your only a 2 minute walk from walking street, and there are tons of other amenities around the hotel, also. Overall, for a one night stay, it was fine. I don't know if I would go back to stay for multiple nights, though.

A pleasant stay.”
i had a very pleasant experience with lido hotel and it made me extend my stay over there. the hotel was full and i was lucky enough to get my room. i got room according to my request, high floor and non-smoking. the hotel staff (esp receptionist lady) was very helpful in directing me and helping me with all the queries. the location of the hotel is very close to walking street. the breakfast was the usual, bread butter jam juice coffee eggs and bacon. but it was great. contrary to my expectations, it was very peaceful and calm even though it was close to a happening place. the rooms were clean and they provided clean and extra towels everyday. i dint use the internet facility, mini bar or laundry, so cant comment on that. few things to keep in mind, 1. its an old hotel, old fashioned room, old air conditioner and a very old mini bar. but everything was neat and clean 2. i stayed in 4th floor, lift was there till third and had to walk to the next floor. was not a prob at all. 3. no view from the room. i think for the same budget i had other good options around, but dint check it out.

Great location, average accommodation”
The best thing about the Lido Beach is the location, otherwise there's nothing to distinguish it. It's a U-shaped hotel that creates a little alleyway about a block or two from the infamous walking street. If you're there to experience the nightlife, Lido Beach is a good place to stay. Don't trust the overly glamorous photos on this website; they make it look way classier than it actually is. The décor is fairly plain. There's no pool in the hotel, but the beach is really close. The rooms DO NOT have personal safes. There are safety deposit boxes in the lobby; only you and the receptionist keep the key, but given the amount of shady business in Thailand, you never know if someone else might have a copy; anyway, when I went to retrieve them they were still there. The rooms come with free wi-fi, although it was fairly unreliable. Every hour or so, the connection would time out, and I would have to turn the wi-fi off and on again to re-establish the connection. It's pretty frustrating. A major problem with my room was the shower. It didn't come with a curtain, so water splashed around the nearby toilet. It was also really difficult to control the temperature; I had to constantly shift the tap between hot and cold settings just to stay in that fleeting state of warm water. Finally, the staff is friendly, but their English isn't that good. The receptionists double as the concierge, and the two that I found were not that helpful in giving me information. For example, I asked the one receptionist what the best way to get to the Sanctuary of Truth is (one of the main attractions in town) and she pointed in the OPPOSITE direction, thinking I was talking about another temple. On the plus side, however, there is a complementary breakfast that comes with the room, and it's decent. The breakfast consists of a combination of eggs, bacon, tomato, toast, orange juice, coffee/tea, and small plate of fruit.

My second time to stay in same hotel”
Can't stop compliment about this place. It is a quiet hotel, you will not hear too much noise at night, security at all time. This is the closest hotel to walking street, for those who don't know, that is the only reason single men go to pattaya. It is next to the ocean, mcdonald, close to currency exchange with great rates. I come at rainy season, this is the best location to go in and out of walking street and check out the action at walking street throughout different time at night. I like the club insomnia the most, go after 12am and end around 5AM. Breakfast is included.

great location, more than average size rooms.”
we had a pleasant stay at lido beach hotel from 28th of may to 31st of may. the rooms are big enough, the kitchen with the table and chairs were great too, the locations are great, just 50m or so to walking street, as such a bit noisy at night, so if you're not into nightlife then you should consider hotels further away. all the major shopping malls are within walking distance, and if you're too tired to walk back you can always take the truck taxi (songtaeow) back, which cost 20bath or so. it's also near to the beach, 20 m or so, and you have a nice view of the sea from your hotel room with a balcony. overall i would stay in this hotel again.

Nice Pattaya Hotel”
This hotel is greatly located in Pattaya. It's walking distance to the famous walking street where it's all happening. Restaurants, shops and bars are all within walking distance to this hotel. And so is the beach. The room was quite big. Modestly equipped but for the price that I paid for, very well worth it. Breakfast was decent. You don't exactly need a big breakfast when you're in Pattaya coz it's necessary to try out the food scene in this place ! Would definitely book this hotel again ...

Worthwhile Value”
I recommended this hotel to travellers who love enjoying night life at Pattaya because its very near walking street Its also front of Pattaya beach Moreover, if you want to go Koh Larn island, it's near Bali Pier also. You will not cost for transportation fee when staying here All places is nearby that you can walk

Excellent location close to Walking Street”
the hotel is located directly on beach road in pattaya. you will be hard pressed to find a better location; it's only a 1 minute walk from the entrance to the famous walking street in pattaya. even being close the room was quiet. sparse but clean room. there's stairs or an elevator to get you to your room. i think the hotel had 6 floors. 30 seconds from the hotel is a mcdonalds and there is a major mall 5 minutes away. there are small trucks that will drive you around the central city loop for 10 baht per ride (.30 cents). this room will save you money in transportation because you can walk to so many amazing places. massage, clubs, food and more. they're all just minutes walk from the hotel front door. you can opt for a later check out time (up to 6pm) for 1/2 price.
