room on 8th floor , quiet , big enough for 2. could use more plugs , and separate switch for bed lamps , shut one means shutting both. we had a short but pleasant stay at the Pailyn , the staff was really helpful finding informations about bus travel, I can speak Thai a bit , which helps. Overall a good hotel. bests regards

Recommended fro budget travelers ”

It was a nice place to stay. The furniture of the room was comfortable such as a mattress, toilet, bath up, air-conditioner, fridge, etc. But for the television program, it has no international channel which make me does not understand what the TV program is about since it is Thai TV program. Even though some staffs here have no ability to speak English well, I found myself to have such a good experience to stay. The staff is helpful in giving me facilities and information i need. All in all, those travelers who wanna visit Phitsanulok, Pailyn hotel is recommended for you. Thank You

quiet area and central location”

Phitsanulok is normally used as a transition point for people travelling around to chiang mai, sukathai etc, i found the town had a lack of tourists which was nice, every night they have thai dancing and singing in the function rooms near the hotel lobby, i had a nicer experience staying here than i did in the tourist of chiang mai. The hotel has nice big clean rooms and a good view of the city, very good for the price you pay.

Friendly Hotel showing its age”

I've stayed in several hotels in Phitsanulok but returned to the Pailyn after trying out the others. The Pailyn is now a faded hotel very much showing its age, but it is still good value and well located for the night market, railway station etc. The porters were helpful with parking and moving my room when aircon broke down.

Good location”

This hotel is not new but the room is comfort and clean. The location is perfect you can walk to the city and walk to Wat Yai in 10 min. Next to the hotel has Thai restaurant and coffee shop. I stay several time when i go to visit Phitsanuloke.

old hotel not much to see but nice place to stay”

I had a great time at phitsanulok, people were very nice. I was there to celebrate loy kratong. Staffs are nice when i ask a place that is off the map they are willingly google it for me. The hotel is within a walk distance to the night market and wat mahatat.

Cheap, comfortable and great location. ”

We read some negative reviews about this place and cannot understand why??? It's excellent value, the rooms are huge, clean and have a balcony..... What more could one ask of a budget hotel. In comparison to other hotels in the same price bracket- this one is definitely at the top. We would thoroughly recommend.

Stayed here because the Topland was full”

Was in town for a weekend convention and convention hotel, the Topland, was booked. Others in my group stayed there and had a very favorable report. Not so with those of us who stayed at the Pailyn. The front desk staff at the Pailyn was good, but not the restaurant staff for the breakfast buffet that was cold and inadequate at 8 am after another group cleaned it out at 7:30 am. No restocking. The rooms are shabby. No room service. Bathtubs old and deep, very slippery. Dangerous to take shower in the morning. The price was fine for what you got. I can take this for one night, but wouldn't go out of my way to stay here.

Good location, clean room despite showing its age”

Hotel is definitely showing its age but one cannot really complain about the cleanliness and the location. Service is good and staff are friendly. Our room rate does not come with breakfast but buffet costs just baht 100 net per person and baht 50 for children above 2. The buffet spread is reasonable. It is also walking distance to Topland. One downside is the limited parking space available. You may end up having to park along the road which is not good. The other is the lack of internet connection. Overall, we are satisfied with our stay and will recommend this hotel to travellers with young children.

Past its Prime, but Still Okay”

I think the Pailyn was glamorous years ago and is now past its prime. It's still comfortable though and has a good location for walking in town and food was good. Great views from the room.

Pailyn Hotel”

We used the Pailyn hotel as a jumping off point to more secluded areas east of the city as well as Sukhothai to the west and were very pleased with the location and quiet that was lacking at the Topland hotel. It was close to the train station and the river, but unfortunately lacked any restaurants nearby.

Clean Older Hotel In Town”

Found this to be a nice hotel near the center of town. Hard to locate I would think without GPS as it was my first time in Phitsanlok. We found the room comfortable and nice sized. A few blocks away from the night market & the river - great place to grab a foot massage after a walk. There is a large Wat not too far away for sightseeing. Major shopping center not too far away if you are driving. Good to catch a movie - ball all in Thai without subtitles. Good enough for a rainy day activity. I believe they have an airport service.

Big hotel having seen better days”

i stayed for 2 nights at the hotel, having also stayed here a few years ago. the hotel is in a good location for the city centre and the riverside area which comes to life each evening with a market, retaurants and bars. however, it does look and feel past its best, some refurbishment is required. the room furnishings and fittings were worn and faded, although the room was sizeable and had a good view over the city. breakfast was a buffet, and by the time i arrived the food was cold. i did enjoy the nightclub which had a succession of thai singers and a pleasant atmosphere. there was also a band in the restaurant area. would i stay again? probably yes, i like the faded grandeur of the place, but not everyone would agree.

An aged Grand Hotel”

Like many provincial Thai hotels the Pailyn has seen it's best years a long time ago. Hence everything is a bit dated and a little shabby. However the staff are very friendly and helpful and overall our stay was fine

Good Location but needs redecorating”

The staff were friendly and location convenient. Room had new air conditioner but pillows were much too thick and hard. The evening meal in the hotel was top class and a reasonable price. A 3 piece band played soft music and sang songs both in Thai and English ..... the only downside was we were the only 2 in the dining room.

Perfectly Okay hotel ”

Okay somewhat dated business hotel. What it lacks in character it makes up for with good central location and friendly staff. We booked at supposedly 50% off on Agoda which made it a decent value. The room was spacious and comfortable. Our main complaint is the dim lighting which made reading at night impossible.

the hotel was in a good location to the temples and other attractions in the city. Also close to bus and train stations. The rooms were pretty standard and aged with the hotel.Breakfast was good and staff were very friendly.for the price was a good bargain and would stay here again.

Big conference hotel in the center of town”

Stayed only for one night, professional staff and nice big room. Wifi only in the Lobby and no breakfast. Still, a good deal for a short stay.
