Lovely pool and fast WiFi”

The Patong Palace hotel was a very nice place to spend 5 days for a reasonable price. Positives - Pool area - a really nice to relax away from the madness that is Patong. The pool was a reasonable size and very clean, set in nice grounds. It was never over busy and there was never an issue getting a sunbed Rooms - there are several different types of room at the hotel, we had a large double in the newer part of the hotel. The room was maybe a bit basic but clean and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and separate shower cubicle, which was excellent (good pressure and always hot water) WiFi - excellent all over the hotel Food - we didn't each in the hotel much but the food we did have was good (apart from breakfast, see below). The hotel restaurant (that bordered onto the street) was always quite busy Staff - Friendly and helpful, although limited knowledge of English was a bit of an issue, luckily my partner is Thai so we were able to communicate effectively Negatives - Location - It was a bit of a walk (maybe 20 minutes) to the main shopping area (Jungceylon) and the main nightlife area (Bangla road). The Beach was also a 10-15 minute walk away Breakfast - a selection of pre prepared dishes but disppointing. We only had breakfast once at the hotel as there were better alternatives nearby. Overall the Patong Palace is a good, reasonably priced place to stay. It's chief assest is probably the nice pool area which was a great place to relax and not something many Patong hotels have. If I return to Patong I would definately consider staying there again.

Great stay”

Should I go to Phuket again, I would definitely stay at Patong Palace Hotel. The location is very convenient. Everything is in walking distance. The staff very helpful and friendly. The food at the hotel's restaurant was very good. My room was spacious and very clean. The pool area was also nice. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

A wonderfull quite hotel in busy Patong”

I stayed 7 nights in November with my toddler in this hotel. I booked the hotel because of the good reviews and the location. And I was really pleasant surprised when I got there. Its a real gem in busy Patong! The hotel is located on the busy road in Patong parallel to the beachroad next to the postoffice. On the road you only see the restaurant with a little sign of the hotel, hardly noticable but the hotel/reception is located all the way in the back of the restaurant. We got a very nice room on the 2nd floor, its a huge nice clean room with a comfortable bed and with a huge balcony facing the nice and beautifull quite garden with palmtrees. The garden is so nice and there is a very nice pool. And the hotel is very quite. There are free towels for the pool at the reception and the breakfast is everyday the same but good. The staff is all extremely friendly and very helpfull. Because of my toddler I ended up eating almost every night at their restaurant at the front which was also really good food. The beach is about 7 min walk not far at all. The location was also perfect for an early night stroll with my toddler before she go to sleep. Because its located al the way up north its an 30 min walk to Jungceylon Shopping Centre and 30 min back (ofcourse I walked very slowly with the babystroller) so a perfect stroll for the early evening. Although during the daytime its now surrounded by construction work but it didnt bother me because at night its very quite and during the day your not at the hotel or when you sit on the balcony or at the pool the construction work didnt bother me. I can really reccomend this hotel to everybody!

A warm welcome !”

Our stay at the Patong Palace was super ! The staff and mgt really nice and friendly. Location is great, only a ten minute walk to the beach front. The hotel is set in well cared for gardens with a fair size swimming pool. If you are looking for glitz and glamour Patong Palace is not the place for you! If you want a small hotel which is super clean, with lush plants, fantastic experienced staff and a real Thai style homely feel this is the place for you. The chef here makes a great Tom Yum soup, so don't leave without ordering a bowl! Thanks for a great stay guys and see you in March 2016 !! Paula

Cozy feel-at-home but resort like affordable accomodation”

Been to Phuket numerous times especially Patong but Patong Palace top it off as far as value for money variable is concerned. Its not far from all that one would want to see and do in Patong... The Beach, Bangla Rd revelry, Eatz, etc as far as location is concerned but I especially like the verandah that each room has, complete with table and 2 chairs. It's not facing the beach and open sea of course though theres

Nice”

It's located close to all of the craziness of Bangla Road, but tucked away in a nice garden setting. When you stay at Patong Palace you won't even realize you are in the heart of the craziness until you step out side of the hotel. The room was spacious and cleaned daily. The staff was also friendly. You can eat at the restaurant or go outside to the many other options available. For me the location was perfect. The beach was a five minute walk away, convenience stores were plenty as well as massage parlors. An overall great place to stay.

It's actually a good choice to stay in”

I traveled with my mom to Phuket, and it was the second hotel we stayed. We didn’t expect too much with the hotel in such low price. And actually, the first room they arranged to us was not good. It was in the first floor with a big garden outside for our own which I was so excited at the beginning (not my mom). But when we went into the room, we saw a few insects on the wall which my mom got totally freaking out. But people there were nice and we got change of room immediately to the second floor. The room was clean and big there (the room was after renewal--I can see). The yard was also nice. And I also loved the swimming pool. It was clean and private. Maybe because the hotel is near the sea and no people go to the swimming pool but we did have a nice morning chilling there. So I think it was good and I would like to book again if I ever going to phuket.

Relaxing hotel in the middle of Patong.”

The Patong Palace is an oasis in the madness of Patong. The garden setting is a peaceful refuge from excitement of the nearby areas. The rooms are older style and spacious. The bathrooms are larger than usual and the wi-fi is trouble-free. The restaurant is excellent with many international options. The hotel is about a 15 minute stroll to Bangla Road.

Staff are so friendly always happy to please ! Pool is beautiful with lovely surroundings and kept very clean ! Hotel spotless. My 2nd time here and will return . Not too far from beach and lots of bars restaurants close to hotel . Thankyou Patong palace for a wonderful stay

Great Place ”

Had a fantastic time at the Patong Palace . Wonderful breakfast friendly helpful staff. It was a great location being one street back from the beach . Nice pool beautiful gardens a real oasis in the city . I will definitely go back there and stay next time im going to Patong

Superb hotel with excellent services”

I had a great time staying in this hotel. All hotel staff were friendly and helpful with every single thing. It is probably the only hotel in Patong that has a massive garden with lots of trees, shrubs and herbs even though the land price in this area is unbelievable. After checking out, I could still leave my luggage and enjoy myself in the swimming pool waiting for my flight.

Great location for relaxing budget stay”

Location is good, just at the end of Patong beach about 5 minutes of walking distance, within reach of shopping center(jungceylon) for about 15 minutes. Quieter than most hotel as major bar/pub are not right next to it, (was in holiday inn express for a night and the noise continue till mid night every night...) Number of convenient store and tour agent around the corner which is great for a relaxing budget stay. Staff is pretty helpful and friendly, facility is indeed less then new but still very much decent, bathroom is very very roomy. The pool is the best thing and with plantation and good view all around.

Amazing small Hotel ”

we have stayed at Patong Palace twice a year for the past 7 years. We have only positive things to say. We would never stay anywhere else at Patong..

Traditional style, great location”

I loved this hotel! I always like to try and stay at hotels that have cultural elements to it to the country it's in. Only a short 15 min walk from Bangla, under 10 mins to the beach (more chilled end not as many people hassling you on the beach) & heaps of great local, cheap eats across the road and nearby. Staff were super friendly and helpful & we loved lazing by the pool everyday. It's a great chilled spot amongst the craziness that is Phuket- would definitely return A++

Older classical hotel with nice pool”

This hotel is in a great location, hear the center of Patong. Hotel restaurant is very good and I ate there three times. Be sure to shower before entering the pool, they are very strict and there are signs warning they can kick you out of the hotel if you do not shower before swimming.

Great stay”

Spent a week in Patong Palace and had a great stay. Room was clean, staff very friendly, pool was very warm and very clean. Breakfast was very good and you have the option to include it in your hotel price or pay daily. The shower was strong and warm water available. Our only complaint was that the bed was the usual Thai quality, meaning they like hard beds. We will be back here again for sure, had a great trip.

Hotel is a queit part of Patong, nice garden. Each evening we were sitting on a terrase and hear frogs and birds. Eating is good, location cca 7 minutes walk to see, 10 min. to Jung Cailon or Bangla. Very friendly receptionists an manager. We will definetly come back.

Very good hotel”

This is a very move hotel, located in the north part of patong and only a 5 minute walk to the beach. It is set in its own gardens and we had the pool wing view, and this was literally 10 steps to the pool. Very nice staff and the room itself was spacious and well maintained.

Excellent hotel in great location”

The hotel was just off the main street with plenty of bars, restaurants and massage parlours nearby. It was a 5 minute walk to the beach and 15 minutes to Bangla Street. The shopping mall was 2km away but only 200 baht in a taxi. Taxis were plenty and reasonably priced. The pool was well maintained and the gardens were wonderful with fruit and veg being grown for the restaurant. Free pool/beach towels were provided daily and there was a free safety deposit box available at reception. The breakfast was very good and varied race day. This is one of the best hotels I have stayed in and would recommend it to anyone.
