Sala Phuket Resort & Spa oozes class and perfect for a getaway for family with young children or couple from the hustle and bustle of the city. Breakfast is fabulous and dinner is acceptable for hotel / resort standard. Sala has a theme dinner / activity on a daily basis for its guest and they provided everything you need for a perfect vacay / picnic by the beach, robe, beach slipper, beach mat, umbrella etc. Good choice of pillows and lotions / soap bar. Good turn down service and sufficient facilities for you to spend easily two to three days at the property such as SPA, gym, pool and sunset bar. You can also access the neighbouring property i.e Renaissance by foot. Enjoyed our time by the beach, by the pool, restaurant for breakfast / dinner and sunset bar. As they provides complimentary bicycles, you can ride to Turtle Village and Mai Khao Plaza (less than 10 minutes cycle) which offers F&B alternatives and supply of groceries, if required. There is a complex which houses a Family Mart. Haven't been there, but it's just another 5 mins down the road from Mai Khao Plaza. All in all, we had a great stay at Sala Phuket Resort and Spa. 1 day is definitely not enough! Will be back again....

Excellent resort with private facilities”

We booked the Sala Pool Villa which comes with a private pool. We could choose our preferred type of pillows, hand soaps and lotions which was wonderful. The room was little dark but cosy. With this concept of private pool and outdoor rainshower, it provided a unique experience. Staff were quick to attend to our requests whenever we called them. There’s free rental of bicycles so we cycled to explore the nearby vicinity eg Turtle Village where there are restaurants and shops. They have breakfast from the ala carte menu to choose from to a decent range of buffet. The private gazebo dinner was very enjoyable. The setup, food and service were great and the lovely sunset view made it even memorable. We had a great stay at Sala Phuket Mai Khao Beach Resort and will definitely go back again.

Exquisite experience with exceptional facilities and service”

We spent 4 nights at Sala Phuket and Spa in a totally private pool villa room. We really used the facilities for an experience of total down time and our experience and privacy elements were superb. It would appear that Sala and their staff's primary driver is to support a total experience of decadent relaxation. Everything supports this and is backed up by total attention, hospitality, friendliness and helfulness. The food offerings were varied and the quality of the food was superb, although the offerings were sumptuous but large and we were not able to do justice and finish all our meals. The location of the resort is supported by the extensive and remote Mai Khao beach with kilometres of unhindered exploration. A truly memorable experience. Thank you Sala Phuket and staff for a most positive sensory experience

Amazing hotel, perfect location and great service”

We unfortunately stayed at Sala Phuket only for one night before we were flying back home. This resort is the perfect combination of stylish modern design, a really spacious and relaxing outdoor area and great comfort and service. It is located at Mai Khao beach where only a few 5* resorts take place and therefore the beach is absolutely amazing and gives you the feeling of being all by yourself. We booked a Deluxe room and got offered a spacious bedroom that comes along with a huge balcony including an amazing day-bed and open air bathroom. The whole resort is beautiful, always cleaned-up and extremely quiet, since it offers many villas with private pool and therefore the venue never felt crowded. We also had a fantastic evening at the bar offering delicious drinks whilst you can hang out on your day-bed listening to relaxing chill-out-beats. The food we had afterwards at the restaurant was of really good quality as well and overall service-level is outstanding. Defenitely a recommendation and we will for sure come back to stay longer next time.

Romantic escape and exceptional service!”

We stayed at SALA as part of celebrating our anniversary. Phuket was last destination in our Thailand trip and we had inconvenient timings in terms of check and check out. Guess services were exceptional and they went great length to help us check in early and checkout late. The check-in process literally took 5 min including 2 min walk to the villa :) The villa probably has better privacy than any city apartment, resort design is seems to be mix of simplicity and elegance, yet it has all amenities you may need from a beachfront resort. We experienced exceptional service from every employee such as reception, restaurant etc. We are vegetarians and restaurant staff was prompt to identify that and provided a vegetarian menu. Food was tasteful and my favorite is their breakfast, pan cakes were absolute divine. We booked vehicle from resort to see different places in phuket and our trip came to a beautiful end because of this decision. Although resort may charge little higher price it is well worth to book from them. Firstly you have lot more security of your stuff in the car, our driver was very knowledgeable and they will be more than willing to help you since hotel reputation is at stake. Finally travelling by resort’s vehicles helped us to keep thugs away. Resort is at unexplored beach in phuket so do not expect sports activities or buzzing crowds or shops at this beach. This is best suitable for couples like us who wish to unwind and have peaceful romantic time. Enjoy there!!

Heavenly honeymoon”

Our initial reaction to this resort was absolutely breathtaking. From outside, the high gates hides the true beauty of this place. Once inside, the calmness and serenity of this place took our breath away. We booked for just 1 day and in my opinion it wasn't enough. True enough, all our plans to explore other area of Phuket was canceled, because we didn't want to leave the resort! We came to Phuket for honeymoon, the first two night we spent in Patong Beach, and the final night was in Sala Phuket Resort and Spa, and now we regret not to book to stay more nights here. The room is absolutely beautiful! The spa treatment in Sala was extensive covering all everything. It must have been very good, for right after we checked in, when we wanted to book for the best package, the spa was fully booked until night, thus we had to take the ala-carte treatment not the full package. Must remember to pre-book the spa even before arriving here. Will consider to come here for the 3 day spa package. Although we had the ala-carte spa treatment, the body scrub and massage was exquisite, leaving us totally relaxed. The pool and dining area was beautiful, However we manage to sample the delicious food prepared for dinner and breakfast, absolutely divine! I totally love the personal service by its staff, right from the moment we arrived until we left. Courteous and service with a smile, not to mention efficient as well. Definitely will come back here again.

A Superb Experience”

The Sala Phuket is one of the best resorts that we have stayed at and we have stayed at a few. The architecture is very modern and the service is excellent. The food and the bar are also worth noting. The hotel is located on Mai Khao beach which is a very quite beach about 20-25 minutes from Phuket International Airport. If you want some seclusion and a beautiful property than look no further. Simply superb!

Pure Bliss”

We staid here for 2 nights with a family of four. Check in was fast and efficient. Got upgraded from signature pool villa to a villa suite ...which was stunning. Very private with very big pool. This resort is minimalist in design and is completely in keeping with its virgin surroundings. Mao khao beach is undiscovered territory, non-commercial and far away from the shopping and bars in Patong. It is nature at its best and the hotel has done its outmost to blend into this beautiful environment without disturbing it. The grounds are spacious overlooking the beach which is fringed by pine trees. The ambience is über cool compared to the Marriott next door which looked really busy. The Sala Resort offers unprecedented peacefulness without the resort feeling empty...a true place for rejuvenation, honeymooners or anybody who wants to get away from a busy lifestyle. Wifi Internet is available throughout the resort. On Thursdays and Saturdays they show an open air movie on the lawn with the sound of crashing waves in the background and free popcorn... It was magical! If I had to find fault with the resort, it would be the a la carte breakfast. Despite the many options on the menu, I think this resort should offer a sumptuous buffet in keeping with the rest of the resort. However, I would go back there in a flash. It is one of these places which makes your holiday memorable and not just one of many...

The best resort I've stay in”

Everything about this resort is great. The layout of the villa (we had the Garden Pool Villa) was well-thought out, unless you have an issue with the (very) exposed toilet, bathtub and shower! Me and my partner did not and in fact, enjoyed the privacy and intimacy they provided. Mai Khao beach was red flag and unswimmable due to huge crazy waves but that is expected this time of year. Everyone swims in the main pools or their in-villa pool anyway. The resort is far from the noise and hustle bustle of Patong but that is its main appeal. Service staff were great, especially Benz and her breakfast crew. Breakfast was excellent too. You're given a choice of breakfast sets but you can always ask for more. We asked for additional scrambled eggs and sausages on different days and we were served them, no problem! All in all, a great resort and we totally felt the price was worth it, despite it being a lot higher than hotels on other beaches. Will definitely be back.

Perfect honeymoon location”

Sala Phuket was an amazing experience for us. the premises is very well kept,luxurious and equipped. we were treated with warm smiles and excellent service from the day we arrived. The housekeeping and reception staff is very efficient. regularly cleaned, the garden villas are really worth the price you will pay for your stay. For anyone looking for a quite time,private pool, sea bathing, cycling and massage it is an ideal location. the two public pools were clean as well. As far as the food is concerned, Sala is a good choice for vegetarians. They have a separate menu for veg and the food is good and often accompanied by some entertainment at night. If you are looking for time away from crazy bustle of Phuket town this hotel is well located, not very far from airport. The quiet can be compensated by taking day trips to Koh phi phi and Phangna bay. The sea at Sala can be a bit rough and the sand coarse but that does not take away from the beauty of the beach and the water. In all it is a very good experience. We were happy we chose the hotel.

Stunning boutique hotel located on tranquil Mai Khao beach, unlike the others...”

The SALA Phuket comes highly recommended from our family. I had visited as a couple and we both fell in love with the place, location, architecture, food and staff. We came back with our 9 month old and I'm not sure who fell in love more - him or the staff, who were the kindest, most attentive hotel staff in a long time. Although there's just the one F&B outlet, the food is of high quality and there is a variety of cuisine on offer. The property may not boast a kids club or the most up to date public area facilities compared to the larger international hotel brands, but this might just be a good thing. The vibe and feel is very much one of coming back to see old friends in a beautiful location. For a couple, solo or families with older children, the SALA Phuket Resort & Spa is hard to beat - and make sure to check out some of their top notch spa treatments while you're there.

Modern villa in great design”

the stay at sala phuket was very good! very warm welcome at check-in, and the villa is nicely decorated with a very reasonable private pool (compared to most other villa where usually have a tiny pool). the room is very clean and the facilities are good. also we love the restaurant side public pool and the beach. the landscape is fantastic. the only downside may be the lighting design inside the bedroom. we didn't like those spotlight which does not quite match the entire interior design and mood. beside, the hotel does not offer any shuttle to nearby areas. it may make most guests feel little upset by taking taxi at 100baht within 2 km everytime. anyway we may like to stay again and recommend sala phuket. but it may not be good for family with kids, because this hotel is designed for romance and quietness.

Our whole family had a great time at the resort!”

We have a great time in Sala Phuket resort from 24 to 27 Jun, so much so that my 2 years old girl cried when we reached home, saying that she doesn't want to go home, she wants to go back to the house with swimming pool. Also, we were thankful to the hotel management and Agoda for allowing us to postpone our stay by 2 days without charges due to unforeseen circumstances. We stayed in Sala Pool Villa which was very clean and the kids have fun swimming in the villa's private pool (note: it's a very deep adult pool, so bring lots of floats for the kids), as well as in the main children pool. The kids also enjoyed the DVDs borrowed from the DVD library. Foodwise, the breakfast at the hotel restaurant was unlike other hotel's breakfast buffet, very unique. I had Sala Breakfast customised with Chiang Mia omelette (which I really enjoyed). For lunch, we have tried the Talay pizza which is filled with fresh seafood. The pasta (white wine sauce with crab meat) and sliced beef sandwich were delicious too. On 26 Jun evening, there was traditional Thai performance with performers playing Thai music instruments and Thai dancers. Thanks to the restaurant staff, Leo, for telling us during lunch to book the dinner in advance and to order the special Thai dinner set. For souvenirs, we bought some affordable Lemon Grass Soap Mitts from the gift shop. The only negative part was the mosquitoes, need to spray anti-mosquito to cover the exposed skin when stepping out of the villa. Perhaps, the hotel management can work with other hoteliers and local government to develop the swampy lake and have water activites, such as fishing, canoeing or perhaps couples can pedal on lake in the swam boat. Hopefully, this problem will be gone when we visit the villa the next time.

Perfect paradise for those looking for an escape”

It's surprisingly hard looking for an escape resort for two, especially on an island seemingly catered specifically toward families or oversized, retirees pursuing restless fantasies, but the Sala Phuket succeeds where others fail. Located in the north west of Phuket Island away from the maddening crowds of Patong and more mainstream beaches, it's a short 20 minutes from the airport before you find yourself greeted by gracious, well-trained staff and what at first glance appears to be a monolithic grey maze with paths leading off in different directions. It all makes sense when you realise the partitioning of the resort enhances the tranquility and solitude. There's only one restaurant but it's very, very good. The perfect Stay at Sala Phuket”

I stay at Sala Phuket over a long weekend with a girl friend in celebrating her birthday and could not praise enough about the amazing experience we had at Sala. The design of the resort is tasteful and of minimalism, both exterior and interior, with lots of green space and it is architect in such a way that each room has its privacy. The time seems to slow down at Sala where one is allowed to leisurely indulge in their getaway. The service from the staff were prompt and in polite manner with high professionalism. The common and frequent reply from the service staff which we found amuse yet with full appreciation was 'No Problem' with big smile on their face. They make every request possible and go extra miles to make one feel comfortable. The Food served at restaurant were of very good quality and its wine list extensive with selection of good wines. It is worth the money spent. Definitely one of the best resort to unwind for a getaway and we are already looking at returning, very soon.

Beautiful resort in secluded Mai Khao beach”

Beautiful resort in secluded Mai Khao beach: lovely decorated villas, amazing pools a few meters from quiet Mai Khao beach. Not much to do around and that’s absolutely perfect! The only two slightly “negative” points compared to our stay last year: - breakfast was disappointing this time. The à la carte menu was not good and we were quite surprised since it has always been a highlight of our stay at Sala Phuket. - check out was quite difficult. We expressly checked out at 12:00 (rules of the Resort), gave the keys back to reception and told them we were taking a taxi at 2:30 to go to the airport. When we showed up at 2:15, nothing has been taken care of and we had to ask 4 times to get our luggage in time as our driver was waiting. Seems like an over the top comment but for the price and standing of the Sala Phuket, this is quite a let down.

Excellent Villa with Pte Pool”

We stay for 3 nights at SALA Phuket Resort & Spa. The environment is perfect for a couple getaway and from the hustles of Patong. The Villa has huge pools and outdoor toilet, shower and bathtub. The feel is totally different, being in the open yet still within the privacy of your own villa. Spa is good and we have one of the better massages we ever had. Hotel service is excellent. There were always prompt responses from friendly staff and room service were quick. Overall very good experience at SALA Phuket and will definitely consider staying there again if we return to Phuket for holidays.

Beautiful location and wonderful service!”

Looked real hard for a location in Phuket that would allow us to see the island and still have a nice quiet, romantic vacation. Staying at the Sala Phuket allowed us to meet all of our needs. The service from the employees was top notch and friendly and the amenities at this resort were perfect - beautiful pools, great restaurant, and a perfect location along the west coast beach. As a romantic get-away I don't think this hotel can be beat! About the only compliant I would have is that it was far removed from the "tourist" areas and it did take some time to travel to Patong, Phuket City, and other locations.

Vacation”

the stay at sala phuket was wonderful and our only regret was that we did not stay longer. everything from check in at reception till we checked out was always managed with a big warm smile. we stated in a sala villa and the rooms were huge with a surprisingly very decent sized lap pool. breakfast at the sala phuket was fabulous, we had steak and eggs, spanish scramble and alot of variety every morning. service by the main pool was also very attentive and we spent a whole day there on our 3rd day as the island was doing some electrical maintainence work in the area (this affected all the buildings in the area and not just sala) and we were constantly offered ice cold water and cold towels. we can’t wait for our next trip back to phuket and staying at the sala again.
