More than I expected”

Lamai buri is located at the southern end of Lamai beach. Far enough to be quiet and have a beautiful sea view yet within a walking distance from Lamai's bars, eateries and shopping area. Staff is very friendly and helpful, the hotel is clean and safe. It's not directly on the beach, and you need to walk about 3 minutes between a and within resorts or bars to get to the beach itself. Lamai beach is highly recommended over Chaweng, as it still has action but it's clean, more quiet and much less crowded and polluted than Chaweng.

Best Hotel in Lamai Beach”

I really enjoyed my stay at Lamai Buri Resort. This hotel is perfect and value for money. Good amenities , good breakfast and nice staff. Recommend you to stay at Lamai Buri Resort.

Lovely, clean friendly hotel in fabulous location ”

We love our stay in Lamai Buri Resort, place was clean, quite, friendly. Breakfast was lovely every morning, rooms were cleaned every day. Staff both on reception and Inn restaurant couldn't be more helpful. Our stay was very enjoyable

Great location, Gorgeous pool. ”

Stayed here for 3 nights at the end of our stay on Samui Island. We adored the pool area as it was gorgeously clean and we were able to order delicious cocktails from the little pool bar. Great views from the pool too. Location in Lamai was great, only about 5 minutes walk from the twon centre and the beach. Lovely sea-view balcony overlooking the pool and the hundreds of Samui Palm trees. Breakfast was the only area that let the place down. Not very tasty but for the price - who can really dare grumble? Would visit Lamai Buri again for sure.

Great place in Lamai”

This place is an amazing deal. Short walk to beach, great dining options and bars just down the road, amazing salt water pool with happy hour. Wonderful people running the hotel. Very clean and very nice. Good breakfast at open air restaurant in the morning. Originally booked for 4 days and decided to stay for a week longer because we could not find a better hotel on the island for the price. We got upgraded for free to a deluxe room (it was May and the low season) and the view from our room was beautiful. Get the rooms with a view! It's worth it. Great location that allowed you to be close to everything in Lamai but still have a peaceful quiet retreat.

Lamai Buri Resort was a great place to stay far enough to be have peace & quite but close enough to ''nip'' into town 5 min walk & beach amazing less than 10 mins would recommend,clean,tidy,nice pool,staff accomadating ...what more do you need

A great hotel”

This hotel was simple but the rooms were clean and nice, as was the price. The pool was wicked and the hotel would definietly be suited to a family. Lamai beach is only a 5 minute walk away but the main tourist area, Chaweng is about a 20 minute drive. You can hire scooters from the hotel so that solves that problem. Two minutes down the road is an array of shops, restaurants, bars and markets so this area really does have everything you could possible need. I would stay there again for sure.

Lamai Beauty”

We were really impressed with this Hotel. We stayed in September (off-peak season) so it felt like we had the place to ourselves a lot of the time. It was lovely to relax by the large pool and look up at the many palm trees around the grounds. I would definitely recommend booking a room with sea views as the rooms at the rear of the hotel did not look at all impressive. We were lucky to get a room on a higher level so we could see the ocean from our room but were not sure if this would be the case on the lower levels. Lamai is a great alternative to Chaweng - a lot less commercial and the beach is just as nice.

Fantastic budget hotel in a great quieter resort in Samui. Is the second time I have stayed here and would always choose to do so for future visits to the island. Rooms are excellent with a great view of the sea, staff are friendly and helpful; doing their utmost to accommodate all requests, breakfast is good and everything for a very cheap price.

Very good price. Nice location on south of Lamai Beach, 15 min walking to center of Lamai walking street, near Marko food service. To night very quiet, if your window to swimming pool. Good american breakfeast. Clean in the room on 4 of 5 - may be better. Very good swimming pool and garden.

16 nights in a great hotel !”

loved the hotel , booked it because of other agoda reviews and agree completley , only 10 mins from the beach and 15 mins from the main nightmarket area of lamai ...what a bargain ... great way to get around

will stay here again when I come back”

Except the first 2 nights, I was happy and really enjoyed staying at this hotel. It was clean and nice. If I go back to Koh Samui oneday I'll stay here again.

OK hotel with dungeon like rooms!”

Overall hotel is OK for price, however, the standard rooms are poorly designed with TINY windows allowing no light in. The hotel has a problem with ants, as our bathroom was covered in them! The location is within 10min walk of restaurants/bars and Lamai beach. Getting to the actual beach from the main Lamai road is tough as there are no paths and you have to sneak in through other hotel receptions (which is very annoying!), however once you arrive on the beach it is all worth it! Lamai beach is probably the nicest beach on Samui island, specially in low season when it's quiet.

Exceptional”

Good hotel located in the lamai beach area. 5 minute walk to the beach and a little bit more to a lot of restaurants and bars. Motorbike rental available in the hotel. They have a big pool area including a bar.

Great stay”

Spent a week here with wife and two teenagers. Our room faced the pool, so we didn't hear traffic from the main road. Room with balcony was big enough and cleaned daily. Hotel breakfast was very good and offered enough variety. Five-ten min walk to beach and a slew of restaurants but far enough away from the strip to give a resort vibe. The staff, from the reception to the cleaners to the breakfast people, are fantastic. All in all, great place.

nice hotel in lamai on samui island; nice and friendly staff, clean and quiet rooms for about 1000 baht per night; hotel is about 400 m away from the beach; but you can reach the beach in a very easy way by walking

Very disappointed ”

I was very disappointed with my stay at Lamai Buri. It was not worth the money I paid for it. I was a single girl by myself, they put me in the bottom building by myself with no other guests staying there. I didn't feel very safe there at all. My room was extremely dark with one tiny window. I had to have the lights on all day. When I asked if I could be moved up to the main building they said it would be an extra 600 baht per night ... That would have made my stay cost even more if I was to pay for one of the more expensive hotels on the beach. One morning, about 6am, someone kept on knocking on my door. When I asked who was there, they would stop, then start knocking again. Tis made me very nervous. When I went to reception to tell them about it they just said security was gone home. There as no 'sorry this happened to you or are you ok'. Being in the bottom building, I never saw any staff or was never asked how my stay was going. When I went to check out, they never even asked me did I need help with my bags, did I want a taxi to the airport, or even a simple so how was your stay. They simply handed me my bills that I had to pay and that was it. Over all, a very disappointing experience and not usually one I would have in Thailand. Generally the people are very friendly and accomadating but at Lamai Buri I saw absolutely none of this. I still had another 4 weeks left in Thailand but there was no way I would have stayed on here. Unfortunately, the only positive thing I can say about the hotel was that the cleaning girl I had was so nice and friendly and extremely trustworthy. The room itself was clean but don't let the photos fool you. My room was a standard room and the only view I had was one of a black roof. The customer service was absolutely awful here, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone. There are far better hotels on the island with staff that are actually
