Lovely resort”

After travelling southern thailand for 2 months we were due to fly out from Koh samui. As with other hotels we book for 1 or 2 nights and stay longer if we like it. We extended our stay here for another 6 nights, right up until we were due to leave! The hotel rooms and its grounds are clean. The pool and resort are quite peaceful even though its fairly close to the airport. We spent quite a few days by the pool and were rarely disturbed by sounds of planes. The restaurant is nice enough if you don't fancy or can't be bothered leaving the resort. Although not a problem for us with a moped, the only slight negative for some people would be the location. The road is fairly narrow and at night in the dark isn't easy to walk down with cars and bikes going past. But if you have a moped or car then the main towns in koh samui of chaweng, bophut and maenam are all within 5-10mins, which is a positive side for the location. Overall very pleased and would recommend short or longer stays here.

While it might be a little way from the beach we had a fantastic stay at Cher Ville. It was quiet and at times it felt like we had the place to ourselves, which is quite the treat considering we got a private pool for such a bargain. Staff were very friendly and helpful to our requests. Our original room had poor wifi but after requesting a new room the mgt gave us the choice of a new room once we'd tested the wifi. The large pool is ideal for kids but they could fit a few more sun loungers for when there are more guests. The breakfast is good value for money but after a long stay could become samey, they offer an extensive menu for good value so there is more choice. The drinks were lovely and there is an excellent local restaurant 3mins down the road that offers western and even better Thai food.

Great Place to Stay”

We liked the place so much we stayed here twice for during our time in Koh Samui. The rooms were modern, fresh and clean at a great price. The location is a less than 1 km off the busy ring road which helps keep it quiet and quaint. All the action is easily reachable with a scooter rental which was seamlessly set up through the hotel. The pool is great too. The included continental breakfast options are a little limited but can pretty affordably be supplemented by ordering off the menu.

Really nice hotel”

Stayed in Koh Samui for 9 days (Chewang) then moved to Maya Buri for a bit of luxury, as was bored with mixed dorms! Really smart room 2 beds, wifi, satellite tv, big bathroom (separate wash, toilet & shower area) hot shower as well, which was pretty cool. Nice landscaped garden area, with a nice infinity pool. The manager spoke really good english & pointed me to a noodle place just down the road, which was potentially the best beef noodle soup I've ever had! & travelled throughout Vietnam where they have them on ever corner! Would stay again if/when back in Thailand, well worth the money!

Great hotel near airport, beach and other islands.”

5 minutes in a taxi from the airport and you arrive at the lovely Maya Buri. You receive a warm welcome from Glenn who is keen to attend to your every need. All rooms are great with four poster beds and modern furnishings. The pool is modern, the staff are so friendly and accommodating, they make your stay a very pleasant one. I would highly recommend this hotel to any traveler who wants a few nights in Koh Samui with easy access to every thing.

Great looking hotel, but only an overnight stay”

this place was very nice with great service from the minute we arrived, this was a stopover hotel as we had come across from koh tao to samui to then head to phuket. but i think we would have liked a few extra days to enjoy the hotel itself. we sampled the in house restaurant and it was great prices with great tasting food and drink. we then took a relaxing dip in the pool to unwind for a couple of hours. at this point it was about 8pm and we had the pool to ourselves. decent level and size pool as well. room size was great and was great to hit the pillow that night, despite being a short stay it was an enjoyable one.

I originally booked the Maya Buri resort hotel for 4 weeks but due to the volcanic ash cloud i ended up there for 6 and could not fault it at all, the rooms were clean and spacious and the grounds kept spotless. all the staff were very friendly and always had a smile for you,the food was varied and always tasty, the manager Glenn knew everyone by their first names and was always there to help . i hired a scooter from the hotel because it was on the ghost road but only 3 mins ride to the main ring road or 10 mins walk so dont be put off by the location, i booked through Agoda including breakfast and thought it was great value for money. i intend to visit Samui again next year and have no hesitation in going back to the hotel in fact i cant wait.

Good value, great pool”

The resort itself represented excellent value at less than A$30/night for a quiet, beautifully-kept and attractive place with a terrific lagoon pool and cheap but tasty food. Located a 10-minute walk from Bo Phut Beach and restaurants, this was the only real negative. Without a vehicle, it is a bit of a walk along a road with no footpaths nor even a real shoulder. So it was a bit dangerous especially at night due to the fast traffic. However, if you are content with relaxing at the resort and utilising the pool and restaurant/room service then it can work out ok. I was surprised that room service was just the regular restaurant menu and that was very affordable (80B meals, cheap beer, etc) except that you could enjoy it on your comfortable patio overlooking the green spaces around the resort. The room I had (queen bed) was immaculate and well appointed with nice furniture, writing desk, tv (CRT), fridge, huge bathroom/wardrobe space but no safe.

We arrive at the hotel wondering what to expect as we booked online. I have stayed in many places in thailand over the years and this i would say is the best value by far. The staff are attentive there language is not excellent but they always try and help you as much as they can. I would recomend this hotel to anybody that wants a base to visit boh phut or chawang as long as you dont mind hiring a moped or getting a taxi when going out. The room we stayed in was perfect it was a four poster bed which was really nice but we had a look at a standard room and this was just as nice. The pool is very well kept the only two little things is that you can slightly hear the planes take off during the day and there is not enough sun lougers and umbrellas.

The owner was very pleasing to talk with, very nice and welcoming. We got orange juice as we checked in. The pool is amaking. The rooms are beautifully decorated. Spacious bathrooms. Beautiful walkways. A family of cats and kittens hung out with us throughout the resort. Peaceful location, if you don't mind getting taxis to get into town. The only bad thing is the outside light- it won't be on when you get home at night because your keycard is with you- not in the slot, so it is very dark. The food is also insanely expensive and I would not buy from the restaurant unless I was loaded with money. Other than that, great value for my money, wonderful stay! Amazing resort

The Maya Buri is a very nice hotel/resort,it has nice big rooms, that are nicely finished, it also has nice big bathrooms, the rooms are kept clean and tidy.The hotels general appearance is also very nice,with nice gardens that are well maintained.It has a good size swimming pool.Also the restaurant at the hotel is good, it has good food that isn't over priced.And the staff are also very good, nothing is too much trouble, i would stay here again.

Fantastic hotel - 10 minutes back from the beach”

We had a fantastic time at the Maya Buri Boutique resort - the staff are welcoming and friendly, the rooms are basic but have air-con and are very clean, and the whole place is nice and quiet.

Pleasant stay in Maya Buri Boutique Resort”

My husband and I had a pleasant stay in this hotel. Relaxing environment and nice interior of the room. The location is quite strategic because it is near to Bophut town. The staff are friendly and helpful when asked about location of places in Koh Samui. The best thing in this hotel is the outdoor pool located at the center of the resort where it is easily accessible from any rooms in the resort. I love the tropical concept of the resort as it is calming and secluded from the main road. The resort area is well maintained. I really enjoy dipping in the pool and sunbathing by the pool. I love to swim in the evening as the pool closed at 11 p.m, I can enjoy longer swimming time especially in hot days of Koh Samui!

A great place to stay - we knew before we booked in that it was a short distance from the beach, so no problem. It is located in a very quite area of Samui so nice and relaxing. The pool was great and the rooms even better - check out the very large bathrooms - great. The staff where all very helpful and the general manager could not have been more accommodating. Great value for money.

Friendly Staff”

We stay at the Maya Buri Boutique Resort & Spa for one day, to re-route our schedule to Phuket due to the political protester outbreak at the Bangkok Airport. It was great that there was free airport pickup to and from. We were greeted with the Manager (or Owner) of the hotel. They served us iced tea upon our arrival and made us feel like home. The staff were really friendly! Too bad we only stay for one day. I think it's pretty far from the beach but very close to the airport.

Perfect little place for a stopover in Samui”

I was just in Samui for an overnight to catch a flight and this place was very good value for the money. I got picked up at the pier, there was a pool and good wifi. The only downside was that one of the reasons i booked it was because it said there was free airport transfer but it turns out that is only between the hours of 7am and 7pm, so i had to pay for my trip early in the morning to the airport.
