Great hotel and Friendly Staffs”

This was my first trip to Koh Samui and I wouldn't have asked for a better hotel stay than at First House Samui. I booked during monsoon season and I'm sad I was not able to take advantage of their nearby beach and outdoor swimming pool, but the stay here was plesant. Also for the price for a room, it didn't burn a hole in my pocket. The housekeeping staffs are cute, shy and friendly. Free wifi in the rooms was a plus. Their breakfast buffet looks great! But I didn't try it. The location is not bad at all, we didn't mind walking the 10mins walk down Chaweng Beach Rd to town. Rooms were clean and big for their standard rooms.

Samui First House Hotel- The Best Hotel in Samui”

The next time i visit Koh Samui my stay will be in Samui First House Hotel for sure. I will recommend this hotel to all my firends and relatives who are planning to visit Samui. The Location is excellent and the private beach is very good and very clean. The food is very good. And the most important factor is the behavious of the staff, they are so good and they make you feel like a king. Well done Samui First house, this will be my house in Samui during my future visits and thanks to Agoda for suggesting this hotel to me.

Very cost-effective hotel for great relaxed rest”

well i was staying in the hotel for 2 weeks and i love it! the number one advantage of the hotel is great location – it’s placed at the most civilized and crowded beach of koh samui named chaweng with a lot of restaurants, atms, exchange offices, shopping malls etc. the hotel has access to the most spectacular beach with amazing white sand, palm trees, warm and pure water and everything associated with bounty islands! good nightlife where everybody will find what he’s interested in – bars, night clubs etc. the hotel is located conveniently close to the most popular island’s sightseeing like waterfalls, butterfly’s museum, and elephant’s farm – maximum 15 mins long ride to each of them. the hotel itself is well-decorated, with good territory. cuisine is alright for those who love thai cuisine. i love! suites are rather big, renovated and being cleaned regularly. the personnel are amazing, extremely polite and friendly like everywhere in thailand! so this is the hotel for those looking for well-balanced services at reasonable price. i was happy staying there!

Great hotel for the price”

free wi-fi is very hard to find in koh samui. lots of hotels advertise free in-room wi-fi but very few deliver reliable service. when i first arrived at this hotel my in-room wi-fi was terrible, but then they switched me to a room next to the router and it was perfect. this hotel is at the very tip of chaweng beach. there are restaurants and things to do in the neighborhood, but not nearly as crazy as the middle of chaweng, near ark bar etc. to me this was the perfect balance. i liked that the hotel allowed me to be sort of serene when i wanted to be, but when i wanted to be around the circus, i just walked about a mile up the beach and was there. pretty good-sized rooms, comfortable beds, friendly staff, nice pool

Great location”

i stayed at the samui first house for about a month. luxury budget is their claim to fame and so they offered amenities that i usually can't afford. my room was very spacious and had a view of the mountains. it was quiet, except for the few fireworks that go off due to the lunar new year. the girls who cleaned my room were very friendly. the staff at the desk was also very friendly and accommodating. but, i am not a demanding person and just enjoyed the fact that i was in a very warm climate. there are two beaches that this hotel has access to. and there are always chairs available to all samui first house customers. i would go back again in a heart beat if the hotel offers a deal as i received. the only negative is that the bed is a little hard. but again i am not one who is very demanding.

Memorable stay at First House”

Samui First house is located at the far south end of Chaweng, but it is still close enough to all the action if you would like to walk 20 to 30 minutes to the central area of the beach. There are jeepneys rolling by the hotel complex all the time so it's easy to get anywhere you want to go. There are also a few restaurants nearby within closer walking distance. There are a couple of massage places to choose from on the hotel grounds. The hotel breakfast is buffet English style with lots of fresh fruit served until 10AM. My only real complaint about my stay here is that the scooter touts got a little annoying by the end of the week, but I suppose that happens everywhere you go along Chaweng. Overall, I was very satisfied with the hotel and was happy to be far enough from central Chaweng so I wouldn't have to listen to the recurring Muay Thai boxing announcements along the main road.

Excellent good value for money hotel”

We had a fabulous hoiday at the Samui First House Hotel. Just a few minutes walk to the beautiful beach. The hotel is in a great location. Close to shops, bars. and restaurants, all within walking distance. Hotel rooms have tea and coffee facilities which is a real bonus if you are a caffiene addict like me. Also decent hair dryers in bathroom. Clean rooms and friendly hotel staff. We will definately return if we visit Thailand again.

first house hotel in koh samui is great hotel and the price is good for what u get. rich breakfast and clean rooms, friendly staff and safe feeling. it takes 5 minutes walk to the center and has a great private beach and clean pool of its own (clean towels for the pool as well).

Nice base for a holiday Samui, Thailand”

I came back here because I love Samui and this is a very good hotel to use as a base (for me anyway). It's a 15 minute saunter down the beach or road to the busy buzzing heart of Chaweng but has everything you need to hand - but you can always rent a motor scooter for £25 $33) a week. There's a pleasant sheltered pool and just a couple of minutes from a beautiful clean beach where you can swim anytime - clean water and no dodgy waves/currents. (there are signs warning of rip-tides & jelly fish but I've never seen or heard talk of them and I've been there various times of the year). I paid a little extra this timefor a room with a balcony overlooking the pool...and buffet breakfast....and I think it was well worth it. The hotel isn't 'new' and some bits are showing signs of age (there are some dodgy recliners by the pool for example) but the rooms are decent sized with plenty of lights & sockets; bed's a bit firm but plenty big enough for 2 (at least!). Hot water, aircon, storage space, all ok. There's a sort of private beach with loungers free to use. I find staff friendly & helpful and always give small tips here & there - I doubt they are paid very well. If I go back to Samui (3 times in 2 years is maybe enough) I would stay here or one of the neighbouring places which are owned by members of the same family I believe.

A great hotel!”

My wife, kids and I enjoyed our stay and met many great folks from Norway, Germany, Italy, Australia, and the U.S. The Christmas buffet was delicious and worth every penny, to include great entertainment to mark this special holiday occasion. The hotel price, lodging, and breakfast buffet were well worth the great Agoda price we received and we would definitely stay at Samui First House again!

Get Stay at Samui First House Hotel !”

I booked a discount "run of the hotel" room and when I arrived found out it was to be on the fourth floor of the new building, which has no elevators. I am 63, overweight and have high blood pressure and told this to the staff. They immediately upgraded me to a beautiful room in the main building with only modest stairs (although no elevators here also). The staff was always helpful when I asked them for anything. I was using one of the computers for Internet and when it was not functioning right they came from behind the desk to get me on another computer that was fine. They got me a van ride to the airport at the standard price of 400 baht that was waiting early for me on my day of departure. The staff was always friendly and helpful. The room was also quite nice in the main building. The bed was devine! Just a short walk around the corner to Chaweng Beach Blvd where songtels run that took me to restaurants and night life for no more than 50 baht. All and all I had a wonderful two days at this hotel and on Samui in general.

Possibly the best 3 star hotel on Samui”

Having eventually found the hotel, as there are no signs indicating its location from the main road I can only say how much I enjoyed my stay. I have been coming to Thailand every year for the past 8 years and stayed on Samui on 3 of those occasions and I must say that my stay at the Samui First Hotel has been the best. The hotel was for a 3-star hotel excellent, location for the beach also excellent,(although hotel a little further from the main part of town than I would have preferred) but I cannot fault the service of your staff which was always polite and helpful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and will highly recommend it to all my friends in the U.K.

Overall, we really liked this hotel. We booked a standard room for the first 2 nights while waited for our friends to come. The room was small and through the window we could see only the walls and the other room's windows. However, we liked the location very much, so when our friends came we upgraded our rooms to superior with the balcony, extended our stay and the problem was gone. The hotel is only 7 min walk from the main shopping street. The beach is only 5 min walk and,actually,a quiet nice beach. The staff was extremely helpful, although some of them didn't speak very good english. We had a problem with the air conditioner (it was leaking) and they sorted it out in 15 mins. Other thing to mention is that the drinks in hotel's restaurant are a bit expensive ( 70 baths for a small Singha beer) in the shop it was about 60 baths for a big one. If we will visit Koh Samui again, we definitely gonna chose this hotel:)

Great value in a quite part of town.”

Samui First House is situated in the southern part of Chaweng beach.We stayed for three night, The rooms were kept clean and the air con was cool.we enjoyed the breakfast buffet at Samui Hotel . Everything ok but wi fi internet was poor if you were using a laptop in your room.

Nice quiet location and great staff”

I stayed at Samui first house for 4 nights and have no complaints a tall. It delivered everything it said it would. The location is great for me, a 5-10 minute taxi ride to the heart of Chaweng road so close but not too close to the madness. Also with a good range of bars and restaurants nearby. The hotel was clean and my room was cleaned everyday, my room was in a separate building adjacent to the hotel but the rooms were of good size, clean and with a balcony. Whilst i was on my Holiday i had a minor accident and the staff at reception couldn't have been more helpful and i was soon patched up by them and enjoying the rest of my holiday.

Cheap and Cheerful - A great hotel! ”

We (My Wife, myself and 20 month old daughter) were attending a wedding on Koh Samui and were on a budget so after reading the positive reviews of this hotel on Agoda we took the plunge and weren't disappointed. The hotel was basic but very clean and had everything we needed including the essentials like ice cold air con. The mini bar was well stocked and very reasonably priced unlike many hotel mini bars. Alot of people reviewing this hotel have mentioned that it is 'out of the way' but whilst it is at the Chaweng Noi end of Chaweng it isn't particularly out on a limb and there are plenty of bars/restaurants within a minute or two's walk from the hotel. As mentioned already though with plentiful Thai Songathew Taxis I can't really accept its location as a problem. If anything it is nice to have a quiet retreat away from Chaweng centre to return to! The staff were very friendly and helpful and we have no complaints at all. For the price you really can't go wrong.

Good Value”

Had a great stay at Samui First House Hotel. This was our second visit to the hotel having been here 3 years ago. Everything was much the same with a few things starting to show their age. Overall, the pleasant staff and the convenient location near the beach and within walking distance of the Cheweng Beach restaurants made the stay enjoyable.

Great Location, and Price”

We loved everything about this Hotel, It has perfect Location at the south end of Cheweng Beach. Far enough to be away from the husel and busel, but close enough to walk to it. A 30 second walk to the beach. It has great breakfasts, and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. We hired a scooter from the hotel, and when we got a flat tyre, they came out to where we were and took the skooter and had it fixed at no cost to us at all. We loved Koh Samui, and will definantly be going back one day, and would stay here again.

Fantastic hotel, good location and price ”

Samui First House is a great place to stay is Samui. The pool is a decent size and deep enough to dive, it also has two jacuzzis. The rooms are a fair size and more than comfortable for two people. Its in walking distance to bars, restaurants and fashion shops. Staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant has a good variety on the menu and the price is the same as you would pay in any of the high street restaurants. The only downside is there is no elevator which can be a pain if you are on the top floor and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone with a disability since none of the hotel seemed to be wheel chair accessible.

i have stayed at samui first house twice now and have been very pleased with them. they are very nice and always try very hard to help you with anything!! the food is awesome, and at a very good price - same with the drinks! highly recommended if you are staying in koh samui for a longer period!
