Fantastic Hotel and wonderful service,”
this hotel is out in district 5 but only a $4 taxi ride into centre. free courtesy bus every hour. staff very friendly, can't do enough for you. all speak very good english and great supermarket and market right next door. pool on rooftop was nice, looks out over city, wonderful complimentary breakfast, restaurant on roof top with magnificent views of city and roof top bar as well, everything you need. would highly recommend this hotel, and would stay there again tomorrow. see the real ho chi minh city, you'll be surprised, if you stay in district 1 you miss out on the real ho chi minh.

Very nice hotel!”
The hotel rooms were very clean, the people are extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel rooms were at a very good price per night too. The had an awesome buffet breakfast in the mornings with lots of range of foods to eat from and the restaurant on the 4th floor is absolutely divine! I really enjoyed my stay there as i went and stayed there for 7 nights to attend my brothers wedding. The only bad thing i can think of is its just a bit out the way of main center but its no big deal as a taxi fare only costs about 35,000 - 40,000 Dong (about €1.50) pretty cheap and the swimming pool is very small and smells of cats piss, other than that the hotel was pretty good overall. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who decides to come to Ho Chi Minh City. Its cheap, clean and the people are very friendly. What more do you want???

Fantastic free shuttle bus services ”
We have been staying at Windsor hotel a number of times. It's a beautiful hotel in a good location. The staff is courteous,friendly and helpful. The room is clean and comfortable. This time we like it better because of the free shuttle bus services to Saigon district and to Cholon district. It almost covers all of the main tourist attractions in Ho Chi Minh city.

Awsome hotel to give a try”
I have 1 night trip to Ho Chi Minh city and that was the first time I stayed in Windsor Plaza. I was so impressed by the professionalism of the staffs here. The guy at the receptionist (cannot remember his name) was awesome and helpful. We have two complimentary vouchers for drink at 25th floor. I love the view there. You could enjoy the awesome view of this city at night.

Superb stay in SGN”
I previously stayed at other hotels in Ho Chi Minh City, but I must state that the Rex Hotel is definitely my favourite. The excellent performance started whilst checking in. We arrived at 10am with normally the check-in being available as of 2pm. We actually just anticipated having the possibility to leave the baggage at the hotel because we had many errands to run. The Hotel offered a room upgrade (2 categories up!!!) without additional charges, since our room was not ready to take by that time. This was a superb performance and does definitely make the Rex Hotel the one to consider for the next stay in Ho Chi Minh. Staff is absolutely great, friendly and highly competent.

Great hotel, good value!”
We had an excellent stay at Windsor! Entering the hotel reseption from the chaotic trafic in Ho Chi Minh was really like going from warm and crazy- to elegant, beautiful and friendly. We upgraded our executive room to an executive balcony suit. We got a very big and nice room. Great balcony on high floor. The only thing close to negative must be that the room felt a bit "old fashioned", with carpeted floors, dark colors etc. Still: Great 5 star experience, great service and friendly staff! The hotel also has a big night club and many great restaurants, one on the roof, wich has a great view.

A good value 5-stars hotel”
This the the only 5 stars hotel in Ho Chi Minh City that is in this price range. Mainly because it is in district 5 instead of district 1, which is a tourist district. This value for money hotel also offers full range of services that includes a very good spa. The restaurants along the street are very reasonable. I will definitely come back to this hotel again.

more a palace than a hotel”
A hotel on a grand scale. It's classic architecture with ornate murals, fluted columns and grand ceilings are a throwback to a previous era but all beautifully maintained. The breakfast room, which is a bar at night, is the most opulent I've seen, the sort of bar you would expect to find in Paris. And huge! the buffet breakfast is immense and the staff have that beautiful innocence that I have come to expect in Vietnam. At first, it appeared a bit out of the way, not being in District 1, downtown, but it gave me an insight into another part of Ho Chi Minh city. Around it are lots of amenities and eateries and An Dong market is next door. A truly grand experience.

A Gem in District 5”
A great hotel in District 5 of Ho Chi Minh City. Breakfast was a bit pricey, but was special, and lunch and dinner in the neighbourhood were very special and found at great prices. The rooftop pool is small, but is comfortable and nice with a bar in the same area. The locker room has wet and dry saunas that were quite comfortable after a workout in the hotel gym.

Fairly good hotel”
Generally, the hotel was an ok. For example the rooms were clean and the staff was kind. The location of the hotel was fairly good because there is a plaza next to the hotel where you can buy a lot of things and there is a delicious noodle soup restaurant just on the other side of the road. The hotel has a free shuttle bus service which takes you to two main locations in Ho Chi Minh. The first location is basically downtown and it has different stops around downtown, this means that it can also pick you up and take you back to the hotel. All you have to do is remember the different stops. It also takes you to chinatown! The main disadvantage of the hotel is that it has a very small pool but it has a great view of the city at the pool.

Classy hotel in location with character”
we were very pleased that we choose the windsor plaza even some friends and tourist operators wondered why we stayed in district 5. but the hotel is great - big rooms, comfortable beds with loads of pillows, good food at the many restaurants and many more close by. the distance from the airport and the 'centre' of town is not a problem as the free shuttle bus goes to town with several main stops along the way every hour; and the airport is not too far away - about 30 minutes in good traffic - allow 60 for bad days. the view from the tott restaurant is amazing - and from the rooms as well. this is not a back packers hotel - but not out of reach for a couple of "special" nights for those of us who need our comfort! then there's the free wifi - and an executive room for those who want to pay a bit extra - and a gym.

Wonderful hotel with great service”
We had another wonderful stay at Windsor Plaza. We were informed upon our check in that we had been upgraded to the executive room. That was wonderful news after a long 25 hour trip. The room was spacious and comfortable. All the staff were extremely friendly and attentive. Especially Mr.Huy and Mr.Phuong. Mr.Phuong was the extremely friendly door man, who always made sure that I caught a good taxi and was always on hand to help me with my many bags. Mr. Huy was the person who had checked me in & out of the hotel. On the day that we checked out of the hotel, I was in such a rush to catch a plane that I had left my wallet (with all my identification & cash inside) on the check out desk. We had made it all the way down to the main door before being stopped by Mr.Phuong who advised me that I had forgotten sometime in the lobby and that someone was on their way down with it. Mr. Huy had found my wallet on the counter and brought it down to me. I cannot Thank Mr.Huy enough for his honesty. I can't speak highly enough of our experience at Windsor Plaza for their staff had made our trip extremely memorable.

Great Experience”
This hotel was the main reason why we have good memories of Ho Chi Minh City. It has excellent service--the people were extremely helpful and friendly. It added many great touches--dark chocolate, fruit basket, executive suite privileges. It has the best breakfast buffet we have ever been to. It has a kid's play room. It has a Wii and Playstation play area for older kids and adults. The shuttle service was also very helpful. The location was also nice, as you can get to many places easily. I would recommend this place. Definitely 5 star.

4 Star Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam”
We travel for a business trip to Ho Chi Minh City and need a valued-based hotel that was central to meeting with our vendors. The location was adquit but overall Ho Chi Minh City was substandard in sense of developed major city. Therefore the location of the hotel was okay. There are definitely better locations in Ho Chi Minh that offers more shopping and for the visiting for fun traveller. However, the area in general was safe. The great thing was the top floor of the hotel that offers almost a 360 degree view of Ho Chi Minh City. The pool was very small but it was fine with less guests in the hotel. I guess you could say that it was even nice to have a pool since Ho Chi Minh City was so hot - even in September. They also had a small gym room which was nice. The actual room itself was comfortable. Although, I hate the fact that all Vietnamese hotels requires you to insert the room key into a slot to access power to the room. Therefore you can not charge any electronics or have the air conditionaire running when you are out and about. There is also free breakfast - which seems all hotels offer in Vietnam. Since I have stayed in over six hotels throughout Vietnam, I would rate the breakfast three and half stars out of five stars. The food was decent and the asian selections were very tasty. However, the westernize food selection was off by taste and offerings. But this is the case was with most hotels in Vietnam unless you are staying at a five star hotel. The best thing about breakfast at a four or five star hotel in Vietnam is the fact that they offer you a great selection versus some of the contiential breakfasts they offer you at American hotels in the United States of America. I would personally suggest this hotel to anyone for personal or business traveller - it was modern and overall had decent amenities. As a person that does not speak the native language, it was definitely nice to have most staff being able to speak english - which is harder to find at lower

My stay in Windsor was satisfactory. The hotel is "old" but not run down . The checking in was quick. security is good but not perfect. I agree with some other reviews, Windsor is not 5 star. the room I was given was on the 18th floor. the rooms is clean. The bathroom is clean. Hot water is provided. Minimal toiletries are provided. the staff is generally friendly. there is always one English speaking staff around at the Ground floor to answer to guest needs. Transportation is relatively easy in Ho Chih Minh. many taxis around and rates are reasonable. Chinatown is just around the corner so lots to see and plenty of food to try. The breakfast buffet in the hotel restaurant on the 4th floor serves a reasonable array of dishes. don't expect too much! and you will enjoy the food served. The gym was small but adequate. But I was surprised no hotel staff attended to guest using the gym. My stay at the hotel was pleasant. Not too noisy. You will get a good night's sleep here in Windsor Plaza. I will not hesitate to recommend my friends to stay here. For the price it is worth it.

Good hotel with great location”
i only stayed at this hotel for one night. upon reaching the staff are friendly and are able to speak good english. although i reach there early and about 10am, they allow me to check in to one of the rooms available as i have just reached ho chi minh city via the midnight train from nha trang city. on top of the that, there is a shopping centre just beside the hotel and you can buy things just a few minutes walk away. so i highly recommend people to stay at this hotel.

A very nice hotel which is located in Chinatown of Ho Chi Minh City. It is more for the business traveler in mind which plans to stay outside the main city area and for travelling out to the neighboring province of Long An. Staff are very friendly and try their best to assist where they can. There are shuttle buses into the city but I did not have the opportunity to utilize them. The walk around the hotel gives a better feel of Vietnam versus staying in the main city area.

Charming hotel and excellent service”
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Windsor Plaza. Staff extremely welcoming and friendly. Room very clean and comfortable. Great breakfast buffet with lots of choices. Several really good dining choices at the hotel. Not in a central location but that was well compensated for with a free shuttle bus hourly to District 1. We stayed in an Executive room which gave us access to special check-in and a lovely lounge on the 24th floor, where we were able to have complimentary drinks and nibbles between 5 -7pm daily. Would definitely stay here again.

Excellent hotel”
Stayed at Winsor plaza hotel for 4 nights. Went with my wife and child as well as my parents. Booked 2 executive rooms. The rooms are very clean,comfortable and comes well equipped ( LCD TV, DVD player etc) and has an excellent view of the city. The hotel is located in Chinatown(District 5), 15-20 min away from the city centre( District 1). The hotel provides complimentary shuttle to the city every hour till late. There are also a few pick up stops in the city centre back to the hotel. This is very useful as much of the attractions are in the city centre. Otherwise can just catch a taxi, not expensive, about 50-60 000 vietnamese dong. There is a shopping complex at the hotel, and the A dong market is just a few minutes away by foot. Very impressed by the service staff in the hotel. They are very helpful, attentive and always trying to please. Overall a great hotel to stay in.
