My family has always stayed in old fortune hotel every year which is the current Avani hotel. 2 years ago, they ungraded us due to cockcroach Infestation due to the renovation in other floors but now that the higher floors are renovated, we can still see the older lower floors are not maintained. I travel with a 1 year old baby, the double day and night curtains shows serious mouldiness is a red flag for young kids, the floor were only vacuumed so do not expect very clean hygiene table and floors. I spoke to one of the staff and she mentioned that they are on the way to upgrade lower floors. To be honest, the location is really great and staff service is good but after 2 years back to the same hotel with bad hygiene with elevated price is quite disappointing. Hope Anavi can take note and do something fast.

I chose this hotel due to the proximity of its location to the places I needed to go to while in Bangkok. It is in a very busy part of the city, with many tourists and foreigners in these parts. You are within a few steps from the MRT Rama IX subway station. On the other side of the street is the Central Rama IX shopping mall and the Jodd Fairs Rama IX Night Market. The hotel has been existence for decades but it seems like they have recently renovated so it does not feel so old. The staff was incredible nice and friendly. They try their best to accommodate to all the languages spoken by the hotel guests (English, Mandarin, Thai, etc.). I was told they have about 400 guest rooms. I used the gym often as it was quite empty and clean. Their equipment was well maintained and they even have a yoga room that was good for stretching or needing some quiet space. P’Back, Benz, Kate, and even Pen from the hotel’s spa greeted almost daily and got to know me as they saw me often. They told me about the onsen and sauna that was available to me as a hotel guest and I’m really glad they did. Going there after a work out is very pleasant and you come out feeling refreshed. On my last night, I decided to give their Relax Time spa a try. I booked a 120 minutes full body scrub and aromatherapy massage with Amy for 1,900 THB (before adding tip). Let me tell you, if I would have done this on my first day, I would have come by more often. My biggest regret was not going there. Amy is so tiny but her strength and pressure was perfect and it never let up. I was amazed of how thorough she was and it was as if she never got tired. If I am in town and if Amy is still there at Relax Time then I will come back for sure. I was told she and her coworkers are from the very northern part of Thailand as their Thai dialect was quite different from what I am normally accustomed to. I do wish the rooms and doors were a bit more soundproof as some of the guests are a bit loud and you can hear them. Also, even though I booked a nonsmoking room, I could still smell old remnants of cigarettes or maybe it was some other rooms that were smoking nearby. For the great location and the inexpensive price, I was a quite pleased with the Grand Fortune Hotel. I would like to commend the hotel’s front desk staff Anchilla, Myn, and Shampoo as they greeted me daily and answered any questions I had. Their English was perfect. Also, the parking attendants and the door men/bell hop workers were all very helpful. They got to know me really quick as I was in and out of the hotel often and used their parking everyday.

We were introduced to this hotel by the organizers and chose it. It's great, extremely convenient, seamlessly connected to shopping areas, dining, supermarkets, pharmacies, and the subway station. The staff is friendly and enthusiastic, including Mr. Non. One slight confusion is the wifi connection and it’s not really quiet. Overall, it's perfect.

This is our second time staying at Avani Ratchada Bangkok, and once again, the experience was nothing short of amazing. The staff maintained their exceptional standards—warm, welcoming, and always ready to help 😊. The front desk team even checked our previous stay and kindly arranged for us to be on the same floor, complete with a great view! The hotel’s location is ideal—right next to the MRT Thailand Cultural Centre station, which makes getting around Bangkok incredibly convenient. Major attractions like Chatuchak Market, CentralWorld, and even the airport are easily accessible. Traffic in this area is also much better compared to Sukhumvit, making travel smoother and faster. The breakfast buffet offers a wide variety of delicious dishes to suit all tastes, and the swimming pool is perfect for kids to unwind and have fun.
