The Ayothaya Hotel was a plesant stay , i was only there for one night but i enjoyed it , the rooms are large but a little musky and they also have nice swimming pool to chill out with, the location was great , markets across the road and plenty of food, the breakfast was ok as well for the price you pay for the room , thank you

Overall a good stay”

Overall for about 1000B (Agoda price) this was a good place to stay. The hotel staff was friendly and the breakfast buffet was basic, but adequate. There is also the Ayothaya Boutique hotel next door, which rents out quite basic rooms for 590B per night. Only downside was internet isn't free and they do dual pricing on van rides to Kanchanaburi, Sukhothai, KSR (i.e. if you're Thai you get a cheaper price. They write this in Thai to not make it obvious to farangs).

Conveniently located comfortable hotel”

enjoyed our stay at ayothaya hotel very much. it has a central location near many of the ruins and is close to several nice bars and restaurants with live music. being able to take a dip in the pool after biking around all day in ayutthaya's considerable heat was fantastic. staff was friendly and very helpful, and the breakfast that comes with some of the room types was nice but not outstanding. my only real complaint about the hotel is that some of the services they offer are considerably overpriced compared to other places in ayutthaya. their bicycle rental service is nearly 3 times more expensive than some of the shops around the corner, and their massages are comparatively expensive as well.

Great Staff”

First time to Ayutthaya. We usually take the train from Bangkok to Chiang Mai but decided to break up the 14hr train journey with a stop at Ayutthaya and check out the ruins. We decided to take a taxi from Bangkok airport and paid 2000bht only to discover later the standard charge should have been 1300bht. The staff at this hotel spoke little english but were amazing and always had a smile. Breakfast was ample and cooked to order on the first day. Second day was buffet. The pool was really clean. Ayutthaya is full of ruins so you don't have to walk far to find them. Across the road are the usual stalls selling food and clothing items. Best sticky mango rice for 35bht you will find anywhere in Thailand. The best part of this hotel was definitely the friendly staff.

great value for money”

I have stayed in many 5 star and budget hotels during my years in thailand. This hotel falls into the later category but is without doubt the best of its price range i have stayed in.It is centrally located,clean and has a pool all for 550baht per night.Hotels of this age normally still have the original dark musky old carpets so it was a refreshing change to see the bedrooms are tiled which gave a light and airy feel.It is definitely better than many of the mid-ranged priced hotels in ayutthaya namely the krungsi river and riverside hotels.I scored the room highly on comfort and standard in relation to price.I would strongly recommend this hotel to anyone on a budget.

good hotel for a night or two”

We stayed at the Ayothaya hotel only for one night and didn't require a lot of comfort. The bathroom and room was clean although the carpet has its best days behind it. The food in the hotel was very good and cheap. The location is great as well, close to the sights and close to the train station. For a night stay-over exactly the right place. I voted for 3 in cleanliness/comfort because of the needed renovation, but again for a night its good value for the money

great budget hotel”

Ayutthaya Hotel rate is very affordable. The room is clean and big. Room facilities is perfect too. The breakfast at the restaurant is average but acceptable. There is a small massage saloon providing good and friendly service. Surrounding the hotel, there are many shops and local eateries found at every corner within walking distance. Tuk-tuk (local taxis) is always available st the hotel doorstep. Overall Ayutthaya Hotel is a perfect choice for budget travelling.

Excellent location , Friendly staffs, Family and Dog welcome”

Located in very center of Ayutthaya ( Near Market ) very easy to get some additional stuffs as it close to the convenient shop, 7-11 . Family room here is quite perfect to our family-especially our dog has a place to stay! ( Not so many hotels in Ayutthaya are welcoming to dog) . Thank you again for your kind hospitality!

Nice hotel with great architecture ”

the staff were friendly and very obliging, the food was very good and well priced , the helpfull staff arranged a motorbike hire for us without any fuss , the room was clean with good quality fixtures , the wireless internet access was strong and free, the hotel was in a good location oon the main road, the room was cleaned daily and efficiently , the reception staff were very friendly and spoke good english , the breakfast food changed daily and was very fresh and tasty , there was a karaoke bar for free every night ,overall i thought this hotel was very good value for the price ,

Old but great location ”

Old hotel but they have a renovation in progress in the lobby. They have a parking lot behind the hotel so i don't have to look around for parking. The pool area is nice to have after a long hiking around all the temples. The staff is very friendly and speak good english. Only 3 minutes walk to KFC, Pizza house and department store it's just around the corner,...i prefer street food so i just cross the street. I can recommend Raan Tha Luang Dinner Cruise on the river side, just a 12 minutes walk from the hotel. I rekomend this hotel any time.

Good Value Good Location”

The hotel is clean and safe. It is an older hotel, but the rooms were clean and the A/C worked well. The internet is decent and available for a nominal fee throughout the hotel. The staff was very friendly. The hotel has bicycles for rent and you can ride to the ruins in 5 minutes on relatively empty roads. The hotel breakfast was included in the price but not very tasty, though the restaurant staff was more than accommodating and very friendly. The hotel is near a shopping mall with lots of restaurants open from breakfast through dinner. There is a shopping bazaar across the street with local wares and food as well.

old hotel great location fantastic staff ”

I have stayed at Ayotaya hotel before and as usual the staff were very very good in every department. Laundry was expensive and not up to a very good standard but ok. This is an older hotel but very good value for money. Abso;utely one of the better centralised locations, good doctor directly opposite hotel, and the best tuk tuk service in all Ayutthaya. Ask for Dang and his wife Quanji.Tuk tuk 550. Great stay, I usually stay a month at a time and have booked for 3 months as from April this year.

concidering the really low price and the perfect location, in the center of ayutthaya, this is a good value . the hotel is clean and the breakfast is ok. and, the location is the absolute best in ayutthaya. all the good pubs and restaurants are within 5 minutes walk, and the major temples are also near by

Good room, helpful staff enjoyed staying here”

I enjoyed staying at the Ayothaya Hotel. The room was good, staff were very helpful when I decided to check in again for another half day while I waited for the train. The swimming pool is a bit small, it felt crowded with 4 people in it. Also, if you rent bikes from hotel be warned the tyres will probably be flat in 1 hr. There is a kfc 2 mins to the left of the hotel and there are motorbike taxis across the road infront of the 7-11.

Ayothaya Hotel”

The Ayothaya Hotel is perfectly located, very close to the railway station (to get there you have to take ferry boat which cost 5Bahts or cross the bridge - 750m south from the ferry pier) and from the bus stop which is just round the corner. A tuk tuk for sightseeing should cost no more than 250Baht for 2-3 hrs ride. The nearest sights are in walkable distance from the hotel.

Comfortable place”

this hotel is worth the price. it's a quite good location close to the center from ayutthaya. the only bad point is that we have to pay to use internet. the personnel is really nice, they speak english well. there is also a restaurant. so it's a nice place if you wanna visit ayutthaya.

Goode base for our time i Ayutthaya”

Hotel is a little dated inside but it was clean and staff were friendly and helpful. While in Ayutthaya we enjoyed night market (great food) and Ancient Palace area. We liked Ancient Palace because it was less crowded and not as done up as Royal Palace in Bangkok We took the Night train to Chiangmai but before leaving Ayutthaya we had a great dinner at The Old Place. Food was great and reasonably priced. In addition we got to watch the river traffic and listen to two musicians.

Good Hotel & Great services in Ayutthaya ”

One of the best Ayutthaya Hotels I have stayed in the past. The hotel have a good and experienced staff, everything worked well and smoothly. Location is perfect for getting around easily. Will stay here again when we return!

Good Value”

Stayed at the Ayothaya with 2 generations of family. Check in was quick and efficient and rooms were all as promised. Rooms although not huge were adequate and represented good value for the price paid. The rooms were in a fair decorative order. Breakfast (the only meal taken) was again adequate although a touch unimaginative. Pool was a good size and was usualy very under used, the down side to the pool area was a lack of serviceable sun loungers and no availability of refreshments poolside (easily rectified with a phone and menu) All in all I would stay again and would reccomend the hotel for short stays rather than extended stays.

Good Value Hotel at a Nice location”

The hotel is located right there in the center of Ayothaya. The price for the hotel is very reasonable and the hotel is pretty reasonable if you consider the price of the room.
