Excellent hotel - one of the best in Thailand”

Comfortable property, at par with any midrange hotel in North America.

I stayed at this comfortable hotel on my last evening in Thailand, and was incredibly impressed. The rooms are just as comfortable as any midrange hotel in Europe or North America, and at a fraction of the price ($10). The staff were welcoming and friendly, and handed out free candies to guests upon arrival. The hotel is located around a 10-minute walk from the Night Bazaar and the heart of sleepy Chiang Rai. The bedding and rooms were extremely comfortable, and though the bathrooms were spartan and featured those pesky electronic water heaters, they were perfectly acceptable. If you find yourself in Chiang Rai, this is the perfect place to hang your hat - it's almost impossible to not enjoy your stay here.

Good hotel given its low price”

Cheap price, Cheap price, Cheap price

Its name is Night Bazaar, its location is anything but. Located 1km from Chiang Rai night bazaar (which is also the old bus station), it seems to be on the outskirts of Chiang Rai (which means, it’s quite at night, especially for the south-facing rooms). By the way, 1 kilometer isn’t really too much. There are some local restaurants just next to the hotel, yet if you are one of those who prefer western dishes than spicy Thai food, sorry, you need to go downtown. The furniture in the rooms seem somewhat aged. And it seems to be the norm for every Thai hotel that it doesn’t provide slippers or toothbrushes. Our room comes but with a very tiny window. The good thing about the room is that, it provides SIX glassed water, for free. The hotel seems to has a parking lot, don’t know whether it’s free or not. You pay 200 Baht deposit for the door card. Given its very low room price, overall it’s great value for money.

Near night bazaar, walking distance from bus station

we initially got to b2 chiang rai (according to google maps) -- and were kindly redirected to the b2 night bazaar, which was much closer to the bus station. good sized rooms, uncramped, enough space for all the luggage, etc. older bathroom with ac piping that trickled into the bathroom, but otherwise no issues with bathroom. close to good food and bazaar as well as some wats nearby.

          First trip to Chiang Rai”

Overall the property is well maintained and serviced. There are some local eatery places close buy but depends on time of day if they are open. Breakfast can be had closer into city center near Night Bazaar area, there are a couple of nice cafe's there serving breakfasts etc. early in the morning. One place I could recommend for eating is Smiling Moon Cafe 181/2 Phaholyothin Road. B2 could improve services by providing coffee/tea making facilities in the rooms. Staff very friendly and polite, speak reasonably good English (if you don't speak Thai).

Good place, great staff but very noisy at night”

I chose to stay in the hotel during the national sport game competition. At the night time of 26 Nov around 1 am-5am, there was a group of people returning from the party. They were keeping talking with a very noisy on the second floor without anything done from the hotel staff. It was very annoying. If the hotel can do anything to stop people doing any disturbance to other customers during the night time, I will definitely recommend another guest to choose this hotel. It is suitable for your budget and easy walk to night bazaar and clock tower.

          Overall: good stay”

The location is a little far from the city center, but not bad for a scooter ride. If you plan on walking, there is not much room on the side of the road to walk, so you are very close to traffic. Very quiet at night, but the cleaning ladies started their cleaning around 6:30-7 am and were not trying to be quiet, so plan on being up early. The bed was on the firm side, but by this point in our trip, we were used to hard beds. Otherwise the room was very clean, no mosquitos, plenty of hot water for the shower, fresh towels every day, A/C worked great. Always a staff member working. We felt very safe and secure in this location. Would stay again!

          Overall great stay ”

Overall, the stay was great. There are just a couple down points, first we had to go down to change our key both nights we stayed because it didn’t work. We were on the third floor, so it was slightly inconvenient. On top of that, the first night the shower was clogged. When we told them, they just came to take off the drain filter and walked out. So there was just a big hole in the shower to let everything fall in. The stay was great and the hotel was clean. It was close to city center and the night bazaar.

          Did the job”

Only a 10/15 min walk to the night bazaar which was fine. Bus station is by the night bazaar too so when we when out to the white temple it wasn't far to get a bus. Hotel itself was cheap, clean, good aircon in the rooms and decent shower. It is a little out dated but it's a bed for the night. Would probably come back to this hotel if I was ever in Chiang Rai again

          Well maintained with friendly staff!”

Very value for money in my opinion. It might be considered a distance away from the night bazaar for some people, but for me, I didn't mind the 5-10 mins walk. Pretty quiet at night in the surroundings, which can be good. The doors can be a bit thin, other than that, nothing else to complain about. Comfy and big bed (I chose double but felt like a queen sized bed) with nice blanket, pillows etc. Heater is working well, and very reasonably spacious - pretty ideal even for couples.

It's near the center in a good walking distance. The place is clean and good enough for short stay in Chiang Rai.

Clean, Nice & Helpful Staff, Good Location

We enjoyed our stay at B2 Night Bazaar overall. The staff was very nice and did their maximum to help us including changing our room to a room that was more quiet. The location is good. The hotel can be a little difficult to find. There is an Orange Sign a bit hidden on the right side at the corner where you turn to the hotel. The rooms are a bit small but we didn't mind as we only stayed for 2 nights. What was most important is that the room was clean.

Great all rounder, best for price in area, slightly a bit out ”

Apart from not being in the centre of town (10min walk) it is the best place to stay in chiang rai for the price. Good sitcom and good wifi - comfy bed. Just book it.

Comfortable little rooms, that was quiet

Decent and basic no thrills room that offers a decent and clean place to sleep and rest. Free wifi. It was named Night Bazaar, but was not close, found another B2 that was close to Night Bazaar, had to check I had went to the right B2, since it was quite far from Night Bazaar.

          Budget Boutique Hotel ”

Budget price and Friendly staff who goes the way out to help you.

Great hotel at budget price, free wifi and good rooms. Distance from the Night Bazaar is a 10-15 minutes, cutting through a few desserted street. No breakfast provided. Staff does not speak much English but they try their best to help. The Manager is a great person who speaks good english and very friendly. You cant choose your neighbours... many thai travellers and they make a lot of noise along the corridors and in thier rooms while I was staying. Not too bad a place (and I extended one day stay on my own).

Short walk from the center of town....NOT that close to the night bazaar! We reserved early with a great discount so we were VERY satisfied. I would have paid twice as much and still been happy! Choose the large 20 sq. m. room. The front arranged two days of tours for us at a very competitive price...but you need to bargain with them to find you a cheaper taxi for hire.

          Price

worried because it was so inexpensive - but when we got there, were pleasantly surprised - very clean, well appointed, small but had all necessities. also had windows. for locals - they would appreciate the parking spaces. staff very helpful, language no problem because we are/speak thai. the only drawback - not as close to night bazaar as one might think - probably 1km away - and the same distance to breakfast and other meals (except in the evening if you like hot pot). room is small - but fine if you don't plan to spend much time there. thumbs up in every respect except distance to find meals!
