A hotel located in the heart of the city, very convenient to travel to various places. The room is very impressive. I booked a standard room, but when I checked in, the staff informed me that they upgraded the room to a larger one with a view of the city and the swimming pool. The room is clean, no musty smell, and fully equipped. The breakfast here is also delicious with a variety of menus. The dim sum is delicious, the fresh fruit smoothies are new, and the drink menu is complete. The swimming pool is not crowded. The banquet room here is also good, with good service and delicious food. The bathroom is clean. The staff is very good, even the housekeeper is lovely. I am very impressed and will use the service again next time.

The inside of the electric kettle isn't maintained, use at your own risk. Rooms aren't that very soundproof, you can hear loud footsteps and chatter from the hallway. As this building is also a tourist landmark for its views, expect huge tour groups, especially in the morning and evening. They do not have a separate lift for tourists, and hotel guests have to wait quite long to get up to their rooms, at least I did. Rude tourists who demand their way into the lifts, the hotel doesn't have enough staff to man massive human traffic and assist lift traffic. Also, during my stay there, we asked for advice on when to leave for the airport in the morning from the night duty manager, dude had no sense for privacy as he repeated out loud what we asked "one of us will be checking out tomorrow, and the other will be staying" which made us very uncomfortable to know people around here might have heard and we're both ladies. Luckily this happened on the 2nd last night, and I had a friend coming over to stay together or else I would've felt very unsafe to stay another night at this hotel. ---------------------------- Finally, Siam Honesty Travel Services who has a small desk and pull-out banners on the left side of the check-in desk when you turn into the hotel lobby on the 18th floor. DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM, ironically they're dishonest, or at least our driver was. Sure everyone has to earn, but I hope the hotel look into ethical presentations and sales of tour packages to their hotel guests from their partner/affiliated vendor. We booked the hotel with trust, not to be sold out more with dishonest travel services. On 19th Aug, we booked Ben's (our driver) car for 21st Aug, for 2500 baht. It was our own negligence we did not ask for the prices but what we were sold upfront, was that he can drive us ANYWHERE while en route to the floating/maeklong railway market. He said "feel free to make a list of where you're interested to go on the way to the attractions, we can stop by". He made it look like he was very interested in knowing where we wanted to go, then the day came and did we hit any places I listed or asked for? NOPE. Ben told us to leave the hotel early to hit all places at 8.30pm. Guess what, we only hit 2 PLACES and he had to drive us back to the hotel by 5pm. We wanted to go to Maeklong Railway Market as the first stop to catch the train. When we were in his car and showed him the list of places, suddenly he said "oh I cannot drive you here and here because the car is fitted with GPS and company will know." - HE WAS MISLEADING FROM THE START WHEN HE SOLD US "THE CAR", now it's his territory to take us to his tour, his places. Unethical. Dishonest. Unreliable. He advised to go to the famous floating market which I wasn't very keen on and despite my rejection, he drove us to the floating market. Please do not make the same mistake as we did, even if you're there and you do not like the prices, ASK HIM TO DRIVE AWAY. 4000 baht isn't worth it for the Floating Market private hire they use. You can easily go direct to the original one and rent a boat there for as cheap as 1hr for 1000 baht (can't exactly remember how much). Before we started, a lady immediately snapped individual photos of us, and printed them out in the end. Do not be afraid to refuse the photoshoot and just wave them off. Never know what they will do with such information. They row you through at least a 1.5 hr route through their "own floating market" first before head

The hotel is very luxurious and for a good price. My room was very spacious. Aircon,bed and view was terrific. The hotel can tell its a little bit old but is still well maintained and does not compromise on cleanliness. If you like that vintage hotel vibes this is definitely a good place to stay. Very good amenities and facilities as well. Room service was also very efficient and worth the value, food was amazing at this hotel. Please be aware that there will be a 2000 baht deposit so if youre going budget do take note to bring extra. Very good service as well. However there is no waiting time for taxis or grab do take note. and i find that the front security guard that takes care of taxis and traffic in front of the hotel was very rude, many times ive encountered he was very rude to my taxi/grab drivers. Hope hotel can take note and he can communicate properly instead of shouting and scolding all the taxi drivers. Also signal was abit bad but i understand that maybe its because of how high the level i was staying was, hope the hotel can get better signal for guests. Will definitely reccomend and stay at this hotel again.
Ideal Pratunam hotel”
If you are after shopping for good deals around the Pratunam area then this Hotel is the most ideal property to consider. It has ample parking space if you wish to hire a private car for day tours and airport transfers. There is also a taxi stand and counter conveniently located at the Hotel's ground floor if you need to get around the city. The property however in my opinion is in need of renovation as some of the facilities and amenities show wear and tear. The air-conditioning in our rooms (we booked three rooms on the 56th floor) for example was quite warm. To be fair, I called the front desk to report the issue and they immediately sent their engineering staff to check on our rooms. The engineer showed me a thermal scanner reflecting 22 degrees Celsius as their hotel's standard. I would have preferred a much cooler and powerful A/C though but that's just my preference. Moreover, there was a rather unpleasant smell that was quite noticeable through the common areas and the guest rooms - I'm thinking this is probably because of the hotel's proximity to the markets. The rooms however were kept very tidy everyday by housekeeping. Having said that, I do think the best asset of this hotel is their staff. I would like to commend Irma at the 18th floor coffee shop and restaurant, Gerard of the front desk and the lady and gentleman at the lobby by the front desk in charge of Chinese speaking guests. Although I did not speak Chinese, they approached me and had the initiative to check on me when they saw that I have been waiting in line at the front desk. Irma was very warm and served us very graciously whenever we dined at the restaurant. She also gave us her recommendations when we asked her about activities and attractions around Bangkok. Gerard competently assisted me with my booking modifications. At every area and point of contact in the hotel, there was always a staff member ready and willing to assist guests. The property may be showing it's age, but their staff more than make up for it.
