Where to stay in Bangkok Riverside
Bangkok Riverside hotels & accommodations

we really enjoyed our stay at the shangri-la hotel in bangkok. it is our second time in bangkok, the first time we stayed closer to the mbk shopping centre and so the riverside area was a welcome change. it is a very large hotel, so we felt slightly like a number, but the facilities are very good. the pool was crowded so we didn't go swimming. the river shuttle service...

Avani Riverside offers great value for your money. The hotel is very modern and elegant and it offers a breathtaking view over the Chao Phraya river, Asiatique Nightmarket and the skycrapers of Bangkok Riverside. The perfectly clean room was equipped with a super comfy 2,40m bed and an open bathroom. The rooftop area with an infinity pool and a fancy bar was another hi...

This hotel is located by the riverside, where the best hotels are. There is only positive things to say about it: - Perfect location (in the Saphan Taksin Skytrain stop). The hotel runs a boat that goes every 15m/30m (depending on the hour of the day) to that Skytrain stop. The boat takes only 5m and it is a really nice ride. - Instead of taking the boat to the Skyt...

In my opinion, the lebua is one of the best hotels in Bangkok. Although we did only stay there for one night, we enjoyed the stay very much. The room was huge, with a big bed, couches and complimentary minibar. The room attendant was very professional and caring. As we did arrive too late in the evening to get to the tower club lounge, we were provided with compliment...

i would rated this as one of the best hotel in bangkok. Check in was very smooth and we have been upgraded. The check in was done in the suite. The room is big and clean with lot of space and spectacular view from the balcony. Staffs are politely trained, being really informative and helpful. The sky bar is a must visit place althought the food is super expensive. Pric...

I’ve been using this hotel for a number of years when I have a Bangkok stopover due to its great location. This is the only place I know of where you can actually sit out over the river when having a nice breakfast. You can easily walk to the sky train or take the complimentary Sheraton shuttle boat. You’re close to China town (walkable if you want to stretch your legs...

ibis bangkok riverside hotel is very accessible. from the airport we just ride the bts station to krung thonburi. from krung thonburi bts station the hotel is just another 5-10 minutes taxi ride. the hotel also offers free shuttle service to the bts station which is very convenient when you start your itinerary for the day. the rooms are clean and quiet. at the same...

The place is right beside Ibis Riverside Hotel. Room is big and spacious, bed is super comfortable and they provide basic amenities like water and some biscuits at the lobby. Service is excellent, staff was very helpful. One of the day, it was raining non-stop and one of the staff - Yo had even offered us her personal umbrella for the day. Bathroom - Water pressure is ...

It was kind of tricky to locate the hotel initially, enter by Soi Charoen Krung 72/2 will lead you to the lobby and carpark. Check in was swift and credit card is required for deposit. Room is spacious and well equipped, wifi fast, bed comfortable but somewhat low for our liking. Toilet shower head was tricky to use and the hot water doesn’t seem to be hot, the batht...

If you are looking for cheap, big room, clean, near to asiatique, easy to find public transport, in riverside area Bangkok, I recommend this hotel. Try the river transport, only 14 baht to grand palace. Don't forget to taste durian and mango fruits at market near river terminal at grand palace. At night, you just walk to asiatique, find foods, shopping, watch...

Amazing hideaway location right on Bangkok Riverside. Only 15 minutes walk to the busy Khao San Road and 5-10 minute walk to river ferry crossings. Staff were polite and friendly & breakfast although limited was perfect if you are planning some sightseeing in Bangkok. You wouldn't realise you were staying in a hectic city if you stayed here. Would definitely stay again...

Each year I hunt for a quality location on the Chao Phraya River which runs through the heart of Bangkok. Riverside locations are prime spots for the most expensive hotels costing many hundreds of dollars a night, but true little gems such as the New Siam Riverside exist. Now I have shared a wonderful little known secret hideaway which is well within the price range ...

We were only at Theatre Residence for one night, but staff was incredibly courteous and the rooms were clean and well-organized. Definitely one of the most comfortable beds we slept in during our stay in Thailand. The hotel is also beautiful, with a well thought-out layout and furnishings. The location is off the main road which can make it a little difficult for taxi...

I have stayed at the Bossotel on four different occasions each for 4-6 nights. The room are big enough for Thailand standards and the staff very friendly and willing to help at all times. I always when checking out ask them to post an envelope which they accepted gladly (I just left them a fee that will cover the cost of the postage) Most of the accommodations in th...

when i was early check-in, all staffs are so kind and nice service. We went on a family summer vacation peacefully. the hotel room so clean and pleasant. my room is too big, big restroom, big window. everything is cool. the location is perfect. BTS saphan taksin maybe walk 15minutes. nearby robinson department and river city. i am willing to go again. I think it was th...

Our stay at the Amdaeng Hotel was lovely from the very first moment we arrived. Very beautiful and sensitively decorated interior, super friendly and welcoming staff, helped us with many little things we had to arrange and the rooms with the river view and a free standing bathtop are simply the best ~ Always recommend a stay at Amdaeng!

A five star view at an affordable price in Thonburi, Baan Wangling Riverside is a delightful boutique hotel that is well worth making a part of any trip to Bangkok. Our stay here was a highlight of our time in Thailand, Baan Wanglang Riverside provided a wonderful respite from the city and our river view room was a perfect spot to begin and end each day.

We really enjoyed the quiet laid back atmosphere, frendly and helpful staff, awesome location amd individualized rooms. The best viewis from the suite on the 4th floor, my wife has a bad knee so we had to setle for the Ayuthaya room on nthe scond floor overlooking the river and it was still very nice. Riverside rooms with view of Wat Arun are the best. You can find oth...

Well recommend if you're looking for stay riverside hotel with reasonable price and full of standard facilities. There're might be some noise from boats during the day but it's normal if you stay riverside. Anyway, it could be better and feel more comfortable if hotel can transfer guests by boat since the nearby village before accessing the hotel get us feel insecure ...

Praya Palazzo Hotel is situated across mainland Bangkok, away from the hustle and bustle of the city and this is what I like the best. It has a colonial style architecture and is simply a stunning place to stay for any relaxing holiday getaway. The only mode of transportation to the hotel would be via the boat. The hotel has it's own boat to fetch their customers fro...
Cheap places to stay in Bangkok Riverside

I have stayed here many times now because i like the facility and the staff. We have only booked the double bed private rooms. Small rooms but clean, and private, and perfect for those couple nights in Bangkok you need before heading out to the rest of the country. The staff will help you plan all of your trip if you need that much help, too. Breakfast is good but typi...

I really enjoyed my 5 night stay at Oldtown hostel and by the end did not want to leave. The staff are amazing, so friendly and helpful especially the main man on reception and the night security man (he was my favourite thing about this whole place-most wonderful accomadting and helpful person who is always friendly and smiling). Even though it's not in the centre of...

I had a great stay at the speak easy. It was a great home base for my first few days in Thailand. Aaron and Nitty are super welcoming and helpful. They showed us where to get the best street food and how to order. They are happy to answer lots of questions and taught us some Thai. Free wifi is awesome and the coffee is great. The fact the you are in a neighborhood tha...

Tiny Taladnoi Hostel for me is one of the best hostels in Bangkok for female solo travelers like me. Their facilities are great, I feel secure and rooms are always clean. The location is excellent. 10-12 minute walk from Hua Lamphong MRT station where you can connect to BTS and ARL. 2-3 minute walk from Marine Dept. Ferry station which is just about 15-20 minute travel...

Not only the location is IDEAL, a short walk away from the BTS metro which will take you to most places in Bangkok, but also the pier where you can take a super cheap boat to get to many landmarks! There is free tea and coffee all day and also access to kettle and microwave so you save some money on food! But the best part is the staff! On the second day of our stay ...

I booked hostel Urby after a meditation retreat, so coming back to Bangkok was a bit daunting. Hostel Urby was the best choice I made- it sits on the river with a lovely view from the balcony over the city. The Dorms have the perfect cubby hole beds with curtains and ice cold air con (duvet's provided). The common areas are large, bright, clean and modern. I spent two ...

We arrived very early in the morning around 2 am, the staff waiting was very friendly with a big smile on his face. The check-in process was easy and quick. We were shown to our bed, the dormitory was very clean and quiet. The bathroom was amazing and looked beautiful, very clean. The staff were very accommodating and even helped us with lots of helpful information. I ...

1. near to majority of attractions in bangkok 2. just book a car/taxi using "Grab Apps or Uber" directly to your preferred destination. or book it to Hua Lamphong MRT(30baht) and take MRT to your destination if you are 1 or 2 person travelling, it will be cheaper. 3. food late at night. I only able find the 7 eleven beside, other closed around 12am. 4. the female lady ...

I chose Glur because of its close proximity to the Chao Praya River and BTS Skyline. I am thoroughly satisfied with the amenities and enjoyed my stay at the place. I've done my own tours in Bangkok, visiting most of the temples and the Grand Palace on my own. The common rooms were chic and I was able to spend time with fellow backpackers. They also allow laundry, and I...

I am a first-time visitor to Thailand and my friend and I needed a place to stay. We decided on this place because of the rooftop and we couldn't be happier. the location of the place is right across the street from wat po. we were able to go see the temple and just walk across the street back here to recharge before going back out. Afterwards we were able to buy some ...

Hostel is neat and clean, staff welcoming and helpful. We book it to be close to Thonburi train station to catch train to Kanchanaburi early in the morning and it's just short 10-15min walk. It's also walking distance from Khao San, near you have few local eatieries, all cheaper and tastier than in touristy Khao San

Would 100% recommend this hostel. While the price is slightly more expensive than other hostels (emphasis on slightly), this hostel is worth the higher price. The lobby, hangout area, and cafe area are super nice places to hang out. The hangout area on the 2nd floor even has free snacks, bean bags and a big tv with Netflix. There’s also a really nice communal kitchen w...

I highly recommend PAMAhouse; the place is clean, the 2-bedroom family suite is spacious, there is a cute rooftop balcony, where you can stay to rest and relax, there are also convenience stores and noodle places nearby, and most of all the owners are very nice, friendly, and accommodating (special mention to Jang :)). Hence, is easy to say that PAMAhouse felt like ou...

1 minute to walk to bus stop Bus no.1 direct to Wat Pho (Famous Temple in Bangkok) Grand Palace price per trip is less than 10 bath, cheaper & faster than taking BTS or motobike. The bus arrived arround Grand Palace Bus no.15 direct to siam paragon. Bus no. 77 direct to Big C Supermarket. Bus no. 75 direct to Chinatown There are various bus that I don’t have plan to ...

The hotel is clean. You can walk for 10 min to faculty of medicine, Siriraj. There is a 24 hours coffee shop in common area. File printing service also available. People there in the night time are quiet, reading and working. However, while I was there the receptionist has his left time and the shop was closed at 9 pm without advanced notice. All over it is very good.

Nice hostel, worked out perfectly for what I was looking for. Large common areas, very clean and tidy, unsual and cool location, right above the flower market. Not the best if you want to stay right in the party areas, but great if you want to visit the various parts of the city. I really liked it and will reccommend.

This renovated traditional Thai-styled home is hosted by a wonderfully gracious lady. Rooms are comfortable and very well kept (with shared but very clean bathrooms and showers). Excellent location to explore Bangkok, Elevated Train Station is a 1 minute walk and the Ferry pier is a 2 minute walk and excellent street food, restaurants and modern shopping mall just m...

access to 5 star hotels on riverside. also a short walk to the sleaze of silom, if that is your thing. typical thai cheaper hotel rooms - clean and basic. bbc & nhk on the tv and sometimes cnn. breakfast is simple but filling - brewed coffee, toast, jams, fresh fruit & eggs. also pretty awful juice. the hotel is in a small alley with 3 or 4 cheap indian/pakistani resta...

The Aurum had been recommended by friends. The owner grew up in the home and so knows the area intimately. Great restaurants and sights nearby - from wats and temples to flower markets and five star hotels on the river. We took a Klong tour arranged by them. Bed was comfy, brekky on the river. Highly recommend this boutique hotel for a stay away from the usual city hu...

I want to say that our stay at Arun was a realy great experience! We had book a nice room but when we arrived the staff said that we could be upgraded to their new built stand alone apartment over the river! :) Damn, that was a suprise! Just wonderful and the room/apartment was so amazing! I just want to say to the staff of Arun Residence: Big Thanx! You guys made o...

We seriously loved our stay at the Hansa Bangkok House!! Firstly the staff are absolutely delightful and could not be more friendly and helpful. There is nothing like being greeted with a big smile and hello each time you see them. The little details around the hotel, make it seem really homely. It has a real funky industrial style to it, something which we love. Ev...

The Inn A Day is a hidden treasure in Bangkok. I say hidden because it's down a small side street that looks otherwise industrial. But once you're there you'll have discovered one of the most delightful hotels you've stayed in anywhere. It's a converted warehouse that they've converted in a style that pays homage to its industrial past. I could go on and on, but just...

I had an amazing time here. This is probably the best hotel value I've had. The rooms are nice. There's free coffee and tea all day. They gave me fruit when I got there. There's even fast wifi. AND the people who run the hotel are extremely nice. Centrally located, but still very quiet. Just a few minutes from the Grand Palace. There's AMAZING food all around. Perfect ...

I stayed here with my wife and 2 month old son and we had a wonderful time. The staff was extremely accommodating and helpful right from the time we pulled up. I went with 3 other people for Songkran and it was a great break from the city even though we were still in Bangkok! The house and the grounds were beautiful and well kept. The staff was helpful too. I could imagine coming back here with a larger group of a people for a special celebration again.

A Truly wonderful hotel right on the river in Bangkok. I wanted to stay in this hotel for a while and having a one night stop over made the reason to try it out. From you walk in to the lobby you feel a certain lightness (The same as New York & Hong Kong) the 31st floor had a balcony view of the river and all the Peninsula personal touches. Breakfast large buffet style...

If you require d a private and quiet break, then this is the best hotel for you. The design is good and the food they serve is one of the best in town. But if you are going to go to the market even late at night then it will be very inconvenient. Most of the time I will use their boat during the day time until 10 pm and you will say no more traffic jam in Bangkok. The ...

Timing your visit to Bangkok Riverside can greatly enhance your experience. The best months to explore this area are typically from November to February, when the weather is cooler and drier. During this period, the temperatures are more comfortable, allowing for leisurely walks along the river and outdoor dining experiences without the sweltering heat. Additionally, this is when many local festivals take place, showcasing the vibrant culture of the area.
One of the most exciting events is the Loy Krathong festival, usually held in November, where locals and tourists alike float beautifully decorated baskets on the river to pay respect to the water spirits.
