Exceptional”
I moved to Basil quite early, before check-in time, but the host still processed for us to check in. The room is very spacious, affordable and fully equipped. I booked a room for 2 people, 1 bed but the room also has a very comfortable sofa set, can accommodate 1 more person. Good water and electricity, clean room, mini fridge and water provided. Clean pillows and blankets are also prepared. Next to Basil is a vegetarian restaurant and we came on the day of Buddha's birthday so it was very convenient for breakfast and lunch. The host is very friendly, giving us a free breakfast and fruit. Good quality bikes are available for us to go to Hoi An. Basil is close to the market so you can easily buy things there. I will come back here again if I have the opportunity to visit Da Nang and Hoi An!

Best Homestay in Hoi An”
The hotel I always stay at when visiting Hoi An. The owner is friendly, the rooms are clean, and the service is excellent. The rooms are very spacious and you can use a large and clean room at a reasonable price. The bathroom is also clean. The hotel also provides free bicycles, laundry services, and breakfast.

Owner is so nice!”
I was stranded in the middle of Hoi A at 11pm at night without any way to get to Basil Homestay because the taxis and grabs stopped running that late. I contacted Basil Homestay, and the owner came in the middle of the night to pick me up and bring me to the Homestay!!! The rooms are very clean, the showers are strong, the beds are comfortable. It's a beautiful home and one of the nicest hostels I've stayed at in Asia.

Lovely place with nice owners”
Basil Homestay is a very nice and clean place located halfway between the beach and the Old Town of Hoi An. The breakfast is very good and bikes are for free. It takes about 10 mins to go to the city centre and 15-20 mins to the beach (by bike). The owners are very friendly and helpful. Things like Easy Riders and bus tickets are a little more expensive than in town though. The rooms are spacious and get cleaned everyday

We had a fantastic stay at this homestay, located close to the center of Hoi An. Our room was exceptionally clean, bright, and very large, an excellent value. The staff was incredibly friendly and warm, and really cared about how we were doing and showed interest in where we planned to go in Hoi An. Next door to the homestay is a vegan restaurant that was cheap and delcious, and the homestay offered free bicycles to explore this charming town.

We are 3 girls travel to Hoi An and stay here for 1 night with big room. Home stay owner is very friendly and supportive men. It takes 10 minutes driving by bicycle to Hoi An town. Free bicycles are provided . If you are researching cheap and convenient home stay for your trip in Hoi An, Basil Home stay is highly recommended.

Amazing stay!”
The basil home stay has been the best place we have stayed in Vietnam. We got the private double room,Incredibly clean and spacious and a great bathroom. The owners and staff are so friendly and kind and help you with any thing you need, from food, tours and private transport. Great location, with the best pho just down the road. They offer scooters and pushbikes, ancient town and the city is about a 15min ride away. We would defiantly reccomend this place and can't wait to come back!

Easily one of the best places I've stayed in Vietnam. The building was brand new so everything was clean and well kept. Soft doubles in the dorm room - It was a great place to take a break from hostel bunk beds! The staff there are incredibly helpful. The main guy gave me recommendations on where to get food and even booked my train ticket to the next city and provided transportation to the train station. Free breakfast and bike use was a highlight as well. Whenever I come back to Hoi An, I know where I'll be staying!

Owner of this lovely homestay was extremely helpful when I was trying to get a grab ride into town. After numerous failed attempts ...I had decided to walk the way to Ancient town but he offered to send me personally!Really appreciate his kind gesture! Vegetarian restaurant run by this guest house has delicious n very reasonably priced food! Highly recommend to stay here!

Nicest staff ever, clean and comfortable”
The staff was super nice and helpful. They arranged everything for me, picked me up at night and even stood up to prepare a coffee at 4am in the morning. Rooms are spacious and clean, the shower the best i have had in Vietnam so far. Though it's a bit outside of Hoi an, they offer you free bicycles and its a 10 minutes drive to the city center. Would absolutely recommend it.

Good Value for Money ”
People who own/run the homestay are really nice. The beds, sheets, blanket, and pillow are comfortable. Air conditioning in the dorm room I stayed in is fabulous. Excellent water pressure in the shower. The place is clean and quiet, and one can use their free bicycles to get to the old town. There is an issue with the wifi in the rooms, but they are sorting that out.

The hosts were always super kind and willing to give advices. The made our stay as comfortable as possible and we could ask them any question. The house was very modern and clean. The location is good too because it is very quiet but you can reach everything within 10 minutes by bike, 20 minutes walking. The price is absolutely amazing for what you get. Never been to a better homestay :)

Super clean and comfortable homestay with nice owners”
The rooms were after all the dorms amazing. Big beds, no bunk beds, clean bathroom, nice house. I really enjoyed my stay here. The only thing is, that it's just a bit far outside, 30 min by walking and around 15 minutes by bike (they provide free bicycles) the staff and the owners are really friendly. I got really sick while I stayed there and the women offered me immediately to go to the hospital with me and really cared about me. The owner was really nice and funny as well, although you shouldn't be too afraid of body contact thus he likes to pad your arms or back ;) recommend staying here if you want a bit of a time-out and enjoy a chilled Hoi An.

The friendliest family we have stayed with”
We got great smiles and super good service the whole time we were here. Our double room was VERY spacious, super clean and definitely the best shower I have had in Vietnam. The location is a bit outside of the city in a calm neighborhood but we saw that as an advantage since it was also half way to the beach and they had free bikes. One advice could be to bring a flash light/headlamp for the bikes if you go to the city at night since the roads are not well lit during the whole stretch. Oh, and their restaurant on the property is really cheap (like 25% of what you pay in the city and they have local Vietnamese visiting it as well... we especially recommend the vegetarian hotpot.) The complementary breakfast was delicious with banana pancakes or omelets etc with large breads. Tea and coffee was also included. Oh, and the beds are kind of “tempur” mattresses that form to your body but are still quite hard to lie on so very comfy. The family was super helpful with giving advice and booking things for us. We definitely want to come back in the future!

Lots of Potential”
The homestay is brand new so the facilities are gorgeous. Free bikes are nice given it's a bit far out. Staff is very friendly even without good English. There were very, very few people staying here though so nothing going on. With a fuller house it will be great.

The owners are incredibly nice and the rooms are very clean. It looks like a new house so everything is brand new and the owners are very helpful to introduce and book the bus taxi or tour. They don't speak very good English but they definitely will help you if you any problem. It's a bit far from the old town but there are free bicycles for rent so it's not a big problem. I'll come back again!

The owners are so sweet and the dorm rooms are cleaned everyday. There are bicycles to borrow for free, this place is a little far from old town but it's a nice 15 min bike ride. Breakfast was great. I would definitely stay here again.
