Two weeks in Thailand and planned to spend only one day here. But found out that Chiang Rai is a convenient launching point to the various sightseeing places in northern Thailand. And BEDs poshtel offers the best bed, eats and drinks (right here on the rooftop)! The staff are very knowledgeable and user friendly. Today is new year’s day and finding transport is difficult. But I was assisted all the way from getting to the bus station, to the airport and back to BKK. They even helped me book my air ticket! Highly recommended for anyone who needs a clean dorm room, very fresh bed linens, washrooms, lounge, computers with wifi, fully equipped kitchen/pantry and a quiet place for a drink with a Friend right on the roof top. Live band on New Year countdown as well. All prices same as outside eating places. Key takeaway is clean place with friendly and helpful staffs.

Awesome hostel with more amazing staff! ”
Our first idea was leaving Chiang Rai the same day we arrived, but finally we decided to overnight, which was the best idea because in that way we met this amazing workers and place. Bic and Simon from Bed Friends Poshtel have been our last and one of the most beautiful friends before leaving Thailand. After that night we decided to stay one more with them!! They are kind, professional and funny, and the place is just amazing: everything is clean, new and makes you feel like home. The bar in the rooftop is gorgeous, the food is delicious and the location is perfect. We were really sad to leave!! We hope we will come back in the future to this amazing place. If you're having doubts about this place, easily cast them aside. The "poshtel" basically runs like a hotel (without the price tag) vs. a hostel.The facilities are spotless, and the common area is a nice spot to get some work done especially with their fancy coffee/espresso machine. The 8 bed dorms are almost really 4 bed dorms as there are only 4 beds in 2 separate rooms. I liked this spot so much I ended up booking a single room for an extra three days. The MVP of this spot is Bich, the general manager. He goes above and beyond to help you with whatever your wishes and desires are. His genuine kindness, wealth of knowledge, and flawless English made my stay phenomenal. Even after I checked out of the hostel he was on the phone with a bus driver to help me arrange the transportation of my bag last minute. The list of things I managed to do in Chiang Rai would have been significantly shortened were it not for his help. You're awesome and thanks for everything you do!!

A comfortable stay!”
What a comfortable stay! The facilities are clean, well-stocked, and spacious. The kitchen was as advertised with all new utensils and appliances. They even have a real coffee/espresso machine that makes cappuccinos and lattes. We may have abused the free coffee privilege a bit. But it was so good! :P The poshtel is in a great location close to restaurants (try the pad thai at this tattoo shop, the best in the city: google "tattoo coracha chiang rai") markets, bars, the main road, and some attractions. The rooftop bar at BED is a great spot to work during the day and is a lively spot for some drinks and live music at night. The beds are extremely comfortable and the room is a great size with modern amenities such as a remote for dimming/turning off the lights, A+ right there. Great common areas! The staff was extremely helpful and even went above and beyond by offering to give my spouse a "check up" as they noticed she was sick - the owner's family is comprised of doctors.Good to know!

Pristine. Is the word that comes to mind with Bed-Friends Poshtel. I like how they have every type of room imaginable. I've traveled n stayed in many places. I really liked the fact there's a sink with mirror on every floor. So convenient n clean. Small details were well thought out. Will definitely stay here again when at Chiang Rai. That's for sure.

Best place to stay in Chiang Rai”
A new poshtel that was opened in September 2019 with nice and clean rooms, a common area with delicious free coffee, good local breakfast and a perfect service and really nice staff. There's a big parking place in front of the door and the Poshtel is right in city center and only 5 minutes walking from the bus station. Be sure to check out the roof top bar with live music in the evening :)

Is a good place”
Very clean, modern, well maintained hotel-style accommodation. Free coffee is a nice touch. A/c works well. Is not social atmosphere like hostel though. Staff is nice, professional and helpful. Only 1 con-they validate room key card for only 1 day at a time. On first of 3 night stay, I went to shower and couldn't re-enter my room with key card and had to walk down 3 levels and into lobby half naked to re-validate the stupid card. It's extremely embarrassing and un-accomodating to require quests to do this every day. Who's stupid idea is this anyway? Only place I've ever seen with this policy

Absolutely loved this place!”
We stayed four nights here and we absolutely loved the place! The location in the middle of Chiang Rai was perfect for us to go walk around. The facilities themselves were extremely clean, the beds were firm but comfortable, loved the rooftop space, the wifi worked perfect and the staff were always friendly and helpful. All for a great price. Would highly recommend and would definitely stay again.

Everything was perfect. Comfy beds, so clean, efficient a/c, power showers, friendly and knowledgeable staff. My only criticism would be the soundproofing - the noise of other guests slamming doors at night were magnified.

Exceptional”
stayed here while just visiting Chiang Rai for a couple days before leaving to Laos. One of the nicest hostels I’ve stayed at in Thailand for one of the cheapest prices I’ve paid. I was able to book a room on the spot despite arriving at 11:30pm after a long day of travelling (and quite desperate for a place to stay) with no problem. Rooms and washrooms are extremely clean and comfortable, the wifi is perfect throughout the entire building, and the owners and staff are some of the nicest people you will meet on your travels.

I was staying for 3 nights in Chiang Rai. The Hostel is located near the Bus Station in the city and in short walking distance to the night markets. The whole hostel was very clean. All of the staff where really forthcoming and nice. You could ask for help every time. I highly recommend this place for everyone staying in Chiang Rai.

Ich hatte einen grossartigen Aufenthalt hier im sehr neuen Hostel. Das Hostel liegt zentral in ruhiger Lage und ist günstig. Im Restaurant gibt es leckeres Essen. die Zimmer sind modern und werden täglich gereinigt. Einen grossen Dank an die freundlichen Rezeptionistinnen. Ich würde wiederkommen. I had a great stay here in the very new hostel. The hostel is centrally located in a quiet area and is cheap. In the restaurant there is delicious food. The rooms are modern and are cleaned daily. Many thanks to the friendly receptionists. I would come again.

Spotless and modern but lacking atmosphere”
Excellent value stay at BED Friends - the rooms and building are clean and spacious and it offered good facilities for the price - kitchen with free bread / tea / coffee and common area with computers and places to sit. Bathrooms were tidy and had all the amenities. The hotel offers a restaurant and roof terrace with a bar, and is located a short walk from the bus station, lots of bars and the bus terminal / night market. Minor negatives are it seemed like we were the only people staying there so despite it being quiet, there was no atmosphere as we felt like we were in a ghost town. We assumed our room had a window but it didn't so felt a little hidden away. Mirror is in a weird location behind the door. Also the doors didn't seem to lock unless you slammed them which was fine but if it was busier we could imagine annoying our neighbours! Good place which I'm sure will gain popularity soon.

Pretty much perfect!”
Hard to find much of a fault with this place. We headed to Chiang Rai as a stop before we headed into Laos and stayed here 3 nights. Was everything we could have hoped for, very clean, kind staff and an amazing roof terrace which was surprisingly empty most nights. Located near the bus station and night bazaar made for an easy base for us. You’d find it hard to beat this place for the value of money in Chiang Rai!

Friendliest staff in a clean environment”
This was the cheapest hostel in chiang rai, close to the bus station, clean, tidy, everyday they would make our beds and give us fresh towels. All of the staff member have been so nice and kind to me. They showed me around and took care of me when I had a scooter accident, medicating me and bringing me to the hospital. I am very thankful for my stay! Tips would be to restock more often toilet paper, bread and spreads.

I had a wonderful time exploring Chiang Rai with this as my base. The staff was very helpful and spoke great English, and the beds we're comfortable with clean bathrooms across the way. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the eating space upstairs. Would stay here again, no question!
