"the location of magellan sutera is very good,only 3mins drive to the city centre and easy to look for local food. the room is classic,clean and the swimming pool is also an attraction of the hotel. the most amazing part is the breakfast,there're so many choices of food and drinks (including italy coffee) for us. well,the service,environment,cleaniness,facilities,food and drinks are all above my expectation. it could be considered as the best 5-star hotel in kota kinabalu."

"One of my preferred hotel in kota kinabalu. It is located just outside the busy boundary of kk city centre. Basically you are outside from the busiest part of the town yet you still can walk by foot to the city cemtre and by car, it only took 2 minutes (this because of the traffic light). The service is great, the staff is doing the best that they can to provide comfort. The room is spacious. The room is clean but it look a bit old. There is a nice view from our hotel window. We can see the busy kk town center and at the same time we can see the beautiful view of mount kinabalu. The breakfast is nice. There is a lot of variety to choose from. The restaurant environment somehow make me feel like i am home. Maybe because i have stay in this hotel quite a few time already. I love the lobby environment. The tapai lounge provide variety of drinks and nice relaxing music. You would definitely need to go the bar and relax with your family. I would highly recommend this hotel for family or couple who just want to relax yet at the same time want an easy access to town center. "

Being a loyal guest of Hyatt Kinabalu Regency for more than 20 years, for me Hyatt Regency Kinabalu is still the best . Must try: Oxtail Asam Pedas in their Tanjung Ria Restaurant."

"it located in the heart of kota kinabalu,the surrounding also very nice view and easy to go to the the big shopping complex asia city. by the way,it easy to go macdonald in the middle of night for the supper because it very near by the hotel.nice walking view for the night life and very near with bar and club. it near waterfront of kota kinabalu and nice place to chill out,in the morning also have nice view from the hotel to see the sunset and the island from the hotel.beside that,it easy to walk away to philipine market and near by craft market."

"the horizon hotel in kota kinabalu is situated in the heart of the city close the istanza, the sabah governor’s residence. it’s a new hotel, being only 4 months old. but don’t let that dissuade you from staying here. the general manager, philip d. theseira, who i would now count as a good friend, has a top rate staff. all are very welcoming, polite and most helpful; addressing you by name as to go about your business. they even moved me to a new room, because i couldn’t establish an internet connection in my original room. rooms are spacious having king sized beds, a small area for sitting and relaxing, and large walk in showers. larger rooms are also available for those with children. but the room size i had was perfect for the duration of my stay. the hotel has three levels of secure private parking, which is free to hotel guests. in addition there is a swimming pool and well equipped gymnasium on the sixth floor, allowing for mostly uninterrupted views out across the bay. these are used at the guest’s own risk, as there are no staff or life guards present. the two excellent restaurants, give the guest a choice of food styles from around the region, as well as international cuisine. however please be aware that all food is halal, so there is no pork available on the menus. with its situation in the centre of the city; it’s only a short walk to all the shopping malls, restaurants and bars. i never had to use a taxi once, preferring to walk around and see all that was on offer. it’s also ideally located to all the scuba dive centres that offer very reasonably priced diving off the islands of gaya and sapi. i’ve already planned my next stay, if for nothing else, but the convenience. but that’s not the only reason of course. "

"I was speaking at a conference in Kota Kinabalu, and stayed at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu while I was there. The hotel was great in all respects. The food was awesome, the room size was very good, the location was excellent and the reception staff were pleasant. I'd definitely stay at the Hilton Kota Kinabalu again."
