After months of booking and cancelling and choosing for hotel options for our Taipei trip, I finally booked 6 nights with Caesar Metro Taipei because of its price, location, good reviews, and facilities. My family of 5 - 2 adults and 3 children ages 11, 8, and 4yo had a pleasant stay in the hotel's Family Suite. It has 2 queen sized beds (150x200cm), 4 pillows and 2 comforters. We asked for an extra pillow and comforter and they were given right away. There is free drinking water in the 19th floor where we stayed and we refilled ice for our water bottles from the 17th floor where they have an icemaker. They will not deliver to your door. The beds are comfortable and the sofa in our room had very good cushion and not sagging. The CR had a Japanese toilet (we all enjoyed it) and a spacious bath tub with an incredible view of the mountains surrounding Taipei. I had to buy several bath bombs from Don Don Donki in Ximending to further enjoy the tub for my children. The shower has good pressure but you have to wait a few minutes for the water to become warm/hot. Room and CR were clean but there is a bit of dust on some surfaces. We had a bad experience during check in. We were there at 3pm but we only had our room at 430pm. They gave us 4 Starbucks GCs (4 drinks you can redeem at the 5f where they have an automatic coffee machine of Starbucks beans) and we were allowed to check out one hour later on our departure date. So instead of 12nn, we can check out at 1pm because of their delay in check in. The hotel is in a quiet area but we greatly benefited from its location that is only 2 min walk from the TRA Wanhua station that is only one station away from Taipei Main Station. Because of this, we never used Uber or taxi. My family and I used the metro and the bus in our entire stay! I loved the experience. The bus station is right in front of the hotel's side entrance. There is also lots of options in google maps to commute because the hotel has a great location. Overall, I will really recommend this hotel because of its cleanliness, safety, excellent room layout, room views, location (you can use the TRA until 12mn which is useful if you are visiting night markets), and luxurious feel (lobby entrance, clean elevators and hallways) of the hotel. I recently stayed at Caesar Metro Taipei with my family, including my kids, and overall, it was a comfortable and convenient experience with a few small hiccups. Location & Accessibility One of the best things about this hotel is its super convenient location. It’s connected to Wanhua Railway Station, and the Longshan Temple MRT Station is just a short walk away. Getting around Taipei was incredibly easy, especially since we had kids with us and didn’t want to deal with long walks or confusing routes. There are also plenty of attractions nearby, like Longshan Temple, Huaxi Street Night Market, and Bopiliao Old Street, which made it easy to explore without going too far. Rooms & Comfort We booked a triple room, which was spacious enough for our family. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom had a separate shower area, which is always a plus when traveling with kids. Everything was clean and well-maintained, though I did notice a bit of wear and tear on some of the furniture. Nothing major, but just small things like slightly scuffed corners and minor dust in a few areas. Service & Staff Check-in was quick and smooth, and the staff was professional, though I wouldn’t say they were particularly warm or welcoming. They did their job efficiently, but there wasn’t much of a personal touch. However, they were helpful when we had requests for extra towels and pillows for the kids, which I appreciated. Facilities & Common Areas The hotel has a nice outdoor swimming pool, but since we were there during colder weather, it was completely empty. The kids were excited about the pool at first, but once they saw the chilly water, they decided to skip it. I imagine it would be great in the summer, though! One downside was the elevators—they were slow, and during peak hours, we often had to wait longer than expected, which wasn’t ideal when we were in a rush. Food & Dining We had the breakfast buffet a couple of times, and it was decent. There was a good mix of Asian and Western options, so the kids had no trouble finding food they liked. However, after a couple of days, it started feeling a bit repetitive, so we decided to eat out instead. If you’re staying for more than a few days, I’d recommend checking out local breakfast spots for more variety. Overall Thoughts For a family trip, Caesar Metro Taipei worked well for us. I’m not sure if anyone has raved about Caesar Metro Taipei a lot yet, but let me just say it’s the epitome of convenience! It’s right next to the local train station (perfect for airport transfers) and the MRT. You can even walk to Ximenting if you’re up for it. There’s a 7-Eleven and a Family Mart nearby, and if you’re staying at this hotel, you get a 10% discount at Family Mart! Most importantly, it’s super close to Lungshan Temple, one of the must-visit spots. I stayed in a triple room—it cost us around 4.5K THB per person for 4 nights. It’s not exactly full-service, but it has everything you need. The TV comes with YouTube and Netflix, the shampoo is amazing (my hair didn’t feel dry at all), and the view is stunning—you get the river, the highway, and the city skyline all in one. The bed is super comfortable, not too hard, and even though the pillows aren’t super fluffy, I slept like a baby. The bathroom is well-designed with two sinks and a separate toilet and shower room, so the three of us never had to fight for it. There are probably more things I can’t remember right now, but honestly, I’m super impressed because it’s insanely worth the price. Oh, and it’s also close to some famous bubble tea shops like Oolong Tea Project and 50Yuan(?)—both are really good. The milk tea and rice dishes are super cheap. The three of us never spent more than 500 NTD per meal, so we ended up shopping like crazy and still had 15K THB left to bring back home. Personally, I already knew I wasn’t a big fan of Chinese food, but it was still alright—pretty mild flavors. I did ask for chili oil almost every day, though 😂. But I went for the experience. The Xiao Long Bao was amazing, the famous fried shop was totally worth the hype (I want to eat it again!), and there was tofu place called Dihua that was insanely good. Overall, this trip was super convenient, I ate well, slept well, and shopped to my heart's content. Absolutely loved it! 🧳✈️💖

Although the room wasn’t cleaned for two consecutive days — possibly due to a staffing shortage, the housekeeping staff were friendly and helpful whenever we encountered them in the hallway. Stayed for 4 Nights (Family with kids), The location is very very good, as it is very near at the TRA Wanghua Station and Near at MRT Longshan Temple. There is a Family Mart and 7-11 Nearby. SO everything you need as a tourist is Here. If you are only looking for a base camp where you spend most of your time outside touring Taipei/Taiwan. The room is cozy, a bit small compare to other 4star hotels, but good enough to open our luggages. They have a nice Japanese Tech Toilet and a nice separate bathroom. the Bed is soft and AC cool. Overall no complaints on the room! total comfort after a tiring day. We tried to check out the pool, but did not swim as we do not have a swimming head cap. that is weird, as this is the only hotel I encountered that swimming cap is a requirement. We did not try the Breakfast buffet as we prefer to experience authentic Taiwanese breakfast outside. The starbucks in the hotel offers "vendo starbucks" likes the one in EU.
