Truly relaxing staycation”
It was my 2nd time at Caliraya Resort Club. The ambiance was relaxing. Hotel design tells that it was built many years ago. Improvemenet in facilities was evident. The staff, from security, to boat and shuttle drivers and front desk personnel were attentive and helpful. Laguna was under MGCQ during our stay. Only the “Slide, Fly and Dive” facility was not operational. All the rest of the facilities were enjoyed by us guests, who were I think only under 50 pax in total. The resort is very spacious. Activities (water bicycle, canoe, kayak) at Caliraya lake were fun.

The great thing about the resort is that aside from being pet friendly there were excellent rides to choose from. Tried the zipline and it was super fun. You would miss half of your life if you were not able to try it. They do follow health and safety protocols plus they limit the number of people to come in for new normal standards. In fact there was no line at all in rides which is an assurance that Caliraya lives up to the best of new normal. The room was clean and love the shower area as it was relaxing. Also one dog is allowed to sleep in the room. That was the best part for furparents like us. Knowing that our furbaby is safe beside us gives us relief and peace.

Unique concept resort”
Near to the lake, and reach to the hotel by a banka, and all the way to the reception by a jeepny. Room size, meal is good, and many activities are available.It was so special experience and will be the best hotel around there I think.

Food Choices is so limited. Not enough option and their packed meals is pricey. Facilities&Rooms needs maintenance and refurbishing. We stayed in Forbes room, and the aircon is so noisy and bed is soggy

Really really needs good maintenance, upgrade and cleaning. The resort and all the facilities were really old and worn out. The reception smells bad...food for breakfast wasn't really good, not to mention seeing people (i don't know if they were staff or guests too) with their foot on top of their chairs! Total inconsideration for other guests. And nobody from the property ever tried to get them to sit properly. So, no. This will be our first and last with Caliraya.

Staff in St. Francis square which we did inquiries for the booking is extremely UNHELPFUL. The manager do not know what he is doing. Good thing the resort staff is not like him.

Fun, enjoyable and relaxing holiday. A lot of available outdoor activities for young and old alike. Peace and quiet atmosphere. Nature-friendly resort. Average quality of food. Had fun riding the jeepney to move around the resort. A number good photo spots.

Caliraya is, what it is. A location made for large business or church getaways/trainings. Line them up; feed them and put them to bed in huge numbers. We were in Caliraya with a group of 800 Christians from a business. I don't recommend for a family vacation. this is a mass group hotel.

Very disappointed about expectations of the resort ”
The place is beautiful and the view around the resort is worth seeing. Very dissatisfied with the rooms and linens of the hotel. We were the only visitors of the hotel and we were placed in the room like servants quarter. The linens and towels were I think supposed to be white but they were brown and look dirty . The place of the rooms were not suited for seniors. You have to go down the long stairs to go to the room and outside before you can open the door of the room. It happened that it was raining for 2 days that we stayed there so we got wet all the time just to go inside the room.the employees were all very pleasant and accommodating. You have to pay all the amenities inside the resort. Hope next time, Agoda will really check the facilty before advertising.

Not worth the price”
The only thing I liked was it was near Manila just a little over 2 hrs drive. The room itself was clean and organized enough but lacks important stuff like glasses. There was a ref but no complimentary water. No process whatsoever when checking in. We got off the boat and there was no one to welcome and provide guidance on how to check in. Jeep going around the resort takes a looong time to arrive (I think there was just 2 of them) and would have been better if they had golf carts to move people around faster. Most of the facilities are pretty old and have not been updated for a while. Wave pool was cloudy. The snack bar was absolutely unkempt. Dark and seems like it hasn’t been scrubbed for a number of years. The dining area needs to be cleaned up to as well as the way up to the viewing deck. The stairs were filthy and slimy and the gazebo had a lot of trash. Very disappointing 😕

- Wifi is not free; paid wifi spotty at best and does not work indoors - No ala carte meals (resort is in an isolated area, you will not have other meal alternatives aside from their buffet) - Buffet meals open for only 1 hour Overall, the place is good enough for team building activities. They are not a good choice for personal vacation though.

Good for company outings ”
Went there with my family with kids. The commute was long, coming from Quezon City. We got lost and didn't expect that we had to leave our cars and take a ferry to the resort. It's difficult if you are traveling with kids and you brought a lot of stuff. The hotel needed renovation. The rooms are already very old and the washrooms really need a rehab. The water pressure is slow. The buffet was just ok. The line to get food was long and they don't refill the food right away. We enjoyed the variety of recreational activities that they offer especially the sky bicycle. It's really good for company team building but not so for family with small children.
