Chatuchak hotels & places to stay

we stayed at the hotel for almost a week, the hotel has lot of options for dinning and priced reasonably. the chatuchak cafe and thai restaurant was good. although the hotel was far from main shopping area, they provided shuttle service to the skytrain station which was convenient, they should consider increasing the frequency of the shuttle service. being attached to central plaza was the best thing as you could shop and go back to the hotel for keeping your bags and give your tired feet some rest. staying through the weekend gave us access to the chatu chak market which is nearby to the hotel and there is a shuttle service. the spa was average.

I booked studio room apartment. Once arrived (I arrived on 11am) the staff upgraded me to 1 bathroom apartment and we managed to check in early. feel so relive after early flight from Kuala Lumpur. What special is we can cook in the unit, they provide induction cooker. Room also provided with refrigerator and microwave oven. Pool not that big but just nice to enjoy, the gym is quite complete with instruments. They also have in house laundry where the guest can utilise it for free just need to bring your own cleaning powder. The apartment is near to Sanam Pao BTS station and everytime you are from hotel or from the station , just need to call the reception for arrangement of tuk tuk pick up. Hotel also 3 station away to the popular Chatuchak weekend market.

Vic3 hotel is the best we have stayed in Bangkok, comparable to Accor! Good price, with a welcome drink. 5 minutes from Sanam Pao BTS exit 3. 7eleven at the same exit. 3 stops away from Chatuchak and 4 stops away from Siam. Very delicious chicken/pork noodle soup stall located in front of the hotel, opens from Tuesday to Friday in the day. A hidden gem The Coffee Pot Cafe, which is located next to the hotel, inside the Phahol 3 residence, also serves good Iced Latte at around 55 baht. Clean, big comfy beds, big toilets, great hot shower, good air conditioning, basic toiletries, hair dryer, umbrella provided! There is also a gym and clean, kids friendly Swimming pool. Breakfast was also sufficient and delicious at Love Eat, you can have all types of eggs upon request at the counter. Hotel staffs were also very approachable and friendly, from bell boy to front desk to Housekeeping. Overall, great pricing, convenient location, friendly customer service and a joy to return to, after a long day of shopping! Highly recommended!

Having stayed in a few different hotels during my stay in Thailand, Livotel was one of the better accommodations I booked in terms of the room itself. Everywhere I’ve been the staffs have been great as well, and Livotel is no different in that respect. The only unfortunate downside is that I was looking forward to sleeping in on the morning of my particular stay, but was awoken by the unavoidable sounds of pipes clanging, amongst a myriad of other foreign sounds that were produced by construction taking place right outside my room (before 8:00 a.m.). Even with the windows shut, the construction sounded as if it was taking place on the bed right beside me. Now I do understand that this is not the fault of Livotel, as I’m sure it’s not something they’re too happy about either if I had to take a guess, and eventually the construction will finish and all will be peaceful again. But, for the time being, if you’re looking to get a good, long night’s sleep, perhaps look elsewhere until the construction is finalized. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

Definitely a value for money stay. The room had everything we needed, including free flow complimentary coffee/biscuit in the hallway. Nice choices and touches of interior all around the hotel, and quite regrettable that we didn't get to try any of the restaurants (inc. the ice cream parlour there). Location-wise it is not central Bangkok but just 2 BTS stations away from the Chatuchak market, and even walk to the nearest Ari station is pleasant, with many stalls, local food, cafes or even the relatively more proper restaurants. Hope that they could maintain the hotel's condition as it is, and would definitely stay here again.

we arrived at sanam pao station (exit 3, near 7-11) in the midst of a thunderstorm at 7pm. called the hotel and they will immediately arrange for a pickup and told us to look out for a brown vehicle. my girlfriend and i nearly burst into laughter when a brown tuk-tuk arrived out of nowhere and drove onto the pavement! that was our very first tuk tuk ride in bangkok. the ride was only 3 mins to the hotel. we were greeted by the friendly hotel manager and receptionist. porter was prompt to assist us in carrying our luggage. to top it all we got a free upgrade to the deluxe room! the deluxe room included a kitchen, living room, balcony and really huge toilet with ample shower area. its just like staying in a one bedroom apartment with all the amenities provided for. the swimming pool is located on the 2nd floor, with the open air gym overseeing the pool. beach chairs are provided for you to laze and bask in the morning sun. we were provided with a shortcut to the bts skytrain station which only took us 3 minutes to get from the hotel to the station. along the way you will find a fantastic massage place which provides tradition thai massage at thb 300 only. massage skills were one of the best i have experienced in thailand and we walked out feeling refreshed! there are not much shopping or dining options in the sanam pao area but it is straegically located in between chatuchak and siam shopping district. the hotel is located just 2 bts stops away from phaya thai station (train to airport), 4 stops from siam station (siam shopping district) and 3 stops from mo chit station (chatuchak weekend market), all of which can be reached within 8-12 minutes. we loved our stay so much that if we were ever to come back to bangkok we will definitely stay with abloom again.

UMA Residence is located close to Yanhee International Hospital and the Chao Phraya river in a bustling area of Siyan where locals eat from the sidewalk food stalls. We stayed for 15 nights and UMA Residence is like a home away from home. Upon arrival We were presented with an orange juice and the very warm reception was like no other We had received. This accommodation has only been opened a few months and has a 3 star rating with the booking agencies, in our opinion it is worthy of a 4 star rating. Breakfast was included in our room rate and consisted of Thai and Western food the variety of which was vast and the presentation was faultless along with the service provided. Our room was a deluxe room and was later upgraded to a junior suite which included a separate living area and 2 bathrooms, UMA Residence has been built taking into account the indoor outdoor flow surrounding the pool area which is absolutely fantastic. One corner of the pool has a spa and at night the pool is lit up with various coloured lights that change. Around the pool area there is various seating areas with comfortable lounges to lay around on, there is also background music playing away. Staying here was lovely and quiet it was hard to believe that about 20 minutes away was the vibrant city centre of Bangkok. After shopping all day in Bangkok UMA Residence was an Oasis to come home to. The most relaxing way we found getting into Bangkok was to get the river express boat down the road from the complex, then onto the BTS rail line instead of a taxi. The staff working here are very cordial, accommodating and we had no language difficulties. The hospitality we have received we will make UMA Residence our home away from home next time we come to Bangkok.

If you are looking to go to Chatuchak, look no further! Pros The location is central and walking distance from rail line and Chatuchak. We went to Chatuchak 3times in one day because we needed a break every few hours. The lady at the reception (luk or luck) was the best. She made us feel very welcome and she even kept my beer cold after check out in the ice cream freezer. Luk if you are reading this, you are awesome. Cons The beds are hard, but after a Chatuchak day you would probably be able to sleep on a rock. The view is not great but the room is huge with a nice shower. Breakfast is basic. Great stay. Highly recommend. I

Area is near Chatuchak so if your up for some shopping the area then I highly recommend this place. Where do I start? 1. Location - Again, if you plan to buy in Chatuchak (not personal shopping but for business) then this place is highly recommended. If you buy bulk in Chatuchak, they will deliver it in this hotel. The hotel staff will keep your items while you are away and will bring it to your room upon yoir request. They say, when in Bkk, do not miss their 711 stores because you can buy good stuff. The best thing about the hotel, there is a walking distance 711 store where we bought desserts and some pasalubong 2. Food - They serve breakfast. Do not expect much of Western food like bacon, ham etc. Anyway, you're in a vacation in a different country so might as well try what locals eat for breakfast. It's one way of knowing their culture. Also, instead of buying these foods outside, it will save you some kaching because they will serve it in your hotel for FREE! Food is really good. The Chicken they served for breakfast was really tasty. They serve different menu every morning. The freshly brewed coffee tastes good too. Actually it helped me digest all the foods I had in BKK. The sandwich they prepared for us the morning we departed was simple (just ham and cheese) but the most delish ham sandwich I had. I ate my brother's share because IT WAS GOOD. 3. Service - Excellent!! From booking up to departure, we had an amazing service! Before the trip, I had questions so I chat them through their FB messenger; I can get reliable replies. They arranged van to pick us up from the airport (with discount). Another thing, they upgraded us from deluxe to suite WITH NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE. Everyone can speak and understand English. 4. Cleanliness - No doubt when it comes to cleanliness, they are superb! I can walk in the entire unit without wearing slippers and my feet are still clean. 5. Facilities - Aircon funtioning well. My second stay here! Both times I stayed in different rooms, I really like the both of them! Really pretty rooms! Moving around bkk is also really easy, they have a free buggy service from hotel to MRT so it’s very convenient for guests!! Plus it’s very near to chatuchak weekend market!! There’s also a common area where u can get some light snacks, drinks, and instant noodles. Just a very nice hotel in general!! Will prolly be coming back for a third stay 😁

For my last three days in Bangkok I chose the Elisabeth Hotel, since it’s close to the Chatuchak market (1 km., 40 Baht on a motorbike taxi) and also close to Saphan Khwai station, where you take the sky train to Phaya Thai station, where you change to the Airport Rail Link to Suvarnabhumi. Though a little old and old fashioned, things work alright at Elisabeth: my room was spotless on arrival, the aircon okay, power shower in an okay bathroom and a safety deposit box for free downstairs at the cashier’s. I paid 3375 Baht for 3 days through Agoda.

Walking distance from Mo Chit BTS Station and Chatuchak! So this is the right hotel for you if you want to visit Chatuchak weekend market or JJ Green night market. You can find everything in this area. Staff hotel are very friendly. I got nice, spacious, clean room. Hard bed but it's ok! Just need 5 hours sleep after long day at Chatuchak. Depending on what you are after for Bangkok, this hotel may or may not suit your needs, based on location. For me, it was perfect. I have been to BKK several times and have stayed along the river as well as on and around Sukhumvit, for both holiday and business trips. This trip was business, so I didn't need all of what BKK offers the new or veteran tourist. Saying that, you can take taxi's everywhere you need to go, so with GrabTaxi, it is even easier to get around than before. I loved it. I'll stay there again. Now to the food...WOW! Some of the best I've had in Thailand. I ate dinner here 2 out of my 3 nights in Bangkok. Creative and fun menu! Traditional Thai food was here of course. The staff, excellent and very helpful.

They always clean our room every single day (and they do not touch our personal things) so I'm giving 5 stars for the cleaners of this hostel. They should be given a raise. The receptionists are okay but would be better if they were more hospitable towards new guests. The rooms are spacious and private bathrooms are squeaky clean. The only thing I'd like to point out is the location. Whenever I book a grab ride, the drivers always get it wrong (or they get lost somehow trying to look for this hostel) since it's located on a one-way street. BTS is about 5-8 minutes away from the hostel. Hope this helps for those looking for a good hostel to stay in Bangkok. Oh, it's very close to JJ or Chatuchak Market.

i stayed at this clean and modern boutique hotel for ten nights in october 2011 and was very impressed with the quality of the rooms and other hotel ammenities. the restaurant and room service are awesome. the complimentary breakfast had thai and western style foods, with lots of freshly sliced fruits. the bar is well stocked with local beers and liquors. this hotel is located adjacent to a major north/side expressway in nonthaburi district and was very easy to access from the hotel. this may not be the best location if you are on foot, as there are no street food vendors or markets nearby. the nearest mrt station is in bang sue, about 15 minutes away by taxi. the front desk staff are very friendly, but do not speak much english. westerners should make reservations with agoda.com in order to have a trouble-free check-in and stay. also, the beds are very, very firm. i like it that way. i stayed in two different rooms and both had very, very firm mattresses. this hotel has good value as a solid 3-4 star accomodation.

Probably is a newly renovated hotel. Didnt expect such a good quality room. I would say is good value for money. Also like to apprciate and thanks the front desk and bell boy support. They are very helpfull and reflect professional in providing service to guest. Surpricingly the bell boy speak very good Chinese that make me so easy to ask for help. Forgot to ask for his name. Hope Hotel will reward him with my review. He has make my day staying in this hotel so easy. He also recommended me to use metered Taxi instaed of Grab. That save me quite a bit of money on the transfer to Chatuchak (67TB) and Airport (140TB) from this hotel. I am giving excellent rating for the stay in this hotel.

My wife and I have stated at KU Home on extended stays of up to three weeks many times over the past 20 years. We like low-key places that are in interestibg environments. KU is within the Kasetsart University campus. We have been able to meet many students around the campus, especially at the low-cost student canteen and a workout location. We have always met interesting Thai and foreign guests at the hotel. We've learned about all kinds of fields of endeavor from people staying there to attend workshops on intercultural communications, all aspects of agricultural fields, or the like, plus getting to interact with secondary students there for short courses or competitions. It's true that getting into other parts of Bangkok is more difficult now that a BTS line is in the process of construction, but when done, the location will be even more attractive.

i recommended 100% for this place.. - nice place, very clean and new building - kindness for staff - near 5mins to Bts Saphan Kwai - near chatuchak when weekend - and if you wanna go to Platinum Fashion Mall or Pratunam market, you can by bus ..bus stop is front hostel.. number bus 54.. very cheaper transportation in bangkok only 9 thb.. can drop front pratunam.. thanks for everything Slumwhite.. make the best Hostel.. i miss u.. 😉☺👍👍👍

The first and only other time I stayed at this hotel was a couple of years ago when it was still fairly new. I was very pleased with the staff and the cleanliness of the hotel. I was concerned a little bit when I booked this time knowing that often in Thailand hotels become run down after a few years and are not serviced as well, but my concerns were unwarranted. In fact I could write the same review now that I did then. The staff was very friendly and professional. Of course there was some wear and tear in the room, but it was still extremely clean and comfortable and very spacious. My only negative thing with this hotel is the amount of noise that other guests tend to make because of the clientele that it attracts. Many of them are tourists that get in very late at night and leave very early in the morning on their tour buses. They are very noisy in the hallways and inconsiderate at breakfast. This is not the fault of the hotel necessarily but it is the reason why I can't give them a 10 out of 10. If I found myself in the Don Mueng area again for business, I would definitely stay at this hotel. If you are wanting a hotel where you can sleep in peacefully this may not be your best option.

It’s basically just beside bts station , and came very useful for us budget travelers . It’s also not that far from chatuchak market, definitely within walking distance , you can bring a trolley and shop till you drop (more from the Bangkok heat than the shopping load, I shall say, haha). The only downside of this place is lack of elevator, and would be challenging for elderly people to go up and down the stairs. I was 6 months pregnant during our visit and I could still go up to our room , just a bit slowly and quite laboriously with the shopping bags. But if you could overlook that and planning to explore chatuchak to your hearts content, then this is a very good place for you. Travelers with elderly people or young kids might consider somewhere else but this is a very good choice for budget and group travelers

We had a 3 night stay here, it was ok but wouldn’t stay again for the following reasons 1. Advertised as having a swimming pool but did not exist. If I had known this I would have never booked the hotel as my children love swimming pools 2. Booked an interconnecting room which was true but we were told on arrival the interconnecting door cannot be shut as they don’t have a key for it. My son closed it on 2nd day by mistake so the rooms were no longer interconnecting after then. Beds were comfortable, staff polite but breakfast was the worst we had in Thailand, most of it was cold and no variety. Best thing was location which was a short walk away from the Mall. Iwish...I hadn’t stayed here

Pros. The shower was warm and good. The AC worked good. Good lighting. The cleaning staff were very friendly. Walking distance to many great eating places. The building has an elevator. I would book this hotel again. Cons. The key deposit was 500B. The wifi was pretty poor quality; don't expect to do any internet calling with Facebook or Line. There were a few ants around the TV in our room; we had to be careful not to leave any food crumbs in the room and keep our trash far from them, out of fear that more of them might come.

We loved everything about this place (except the location), and we got used to that quickly. Room was clean and nice. Staff was very helpful but the language barrier can sometimes be difficult. Either way they were super helpful and everything got done. The building is nice and filled with art by local artists. They also have several art books available about contemporary thai art. The location was the only downside. It looks close to victory monument on a map but because of the small side streets it's actually quite a walk. By the second day we had it down to a science though thanks to google maps. The area is very thai hipster. It's filled with nice cafes and restaurants. The walk is long but the it always felt very safe even though you are in small side streets.

The room is clean, spacious with your own balcony. The design is impressive. Smart use of space - chairs double up as storage area. We also love the showerhead on the ceiling. There's also microwave (rare for hotels) in every room and wi-fi is easy to connect to. For those on a very tight budget, this is definitely a good option - it is 10-15 minutes walk to Ari BTS. Otherwise, the front desk will help with getting a cab. Location is good for a weekend session to the famous Chatuchak but a bit far off from main city centre.

Is just 400m walking distance to BTS sanam pao or 500 m to BTS Ari. Few stations away from Chatuchak. Is located at quiet area, if you would like to stay in busy area you may opt out for it. Very homey feel as is service apartment. Provided almost everything like hotel. The bed is very comfortable. I had 3 nights there and is very good stay and sleep. What can comment about it is hope that can get someone standby at lobby in case anything would like to seek assistance.

1. This place has the nicest people. They are very accomodating and very friendly. 2. We loved the place, it's very peaceful and lovely. Being able to hang around the garden is a plus instead of staying indoors. 3. Our room is very clean and cosy. 4. The shared bathroom is clean. 5. The breakfast they provided is simple yet filling. And even though we have checked out in the morning, we are still able to hang around the plave. Since our flight was at night we went to the chatuchak market in the morning and when we returned in the afternoon, the staff let us stay in the family room to repack our luggage and chill and we are able to shower and freshen up before going to the airport as well. We would love to come back to this place when we come back in bangkok!
