Impressive design and service. Great location by the ping river and reflects the term of "sanctuary" claimed by the hotel. (own vehicle required to move around). Breakfast was one of the best we ever had with great selections - local and international, served by a la carte menu style (doubt if it will be too busy and slow in peak season) . Will recommend to anyone (alr...

I stayed 3 nights in Tamarind Suite. Room was spacious and nice. When I was considering about booking this room, red wall over the bed was quite annoying but in reality it was not a bit.(Red in pics is quite bright than really is) All staffs were very kind and ready to help. Swimming pool in roof top was not huge but big enough to relive stress and enjoy sunlight of ...

Chedi Chiang Mai was a very positive experience for me. A friend of a friend recommended it and I became very well impressed. To start the staff exceeded my expectations from the moment I've stepped in the hotel. I let them know previously that I would be check in late and when I arrived they not only were waiting for me but also had upgraded my room to a more luxury...

This is probably the best neighborhood in Chiang Mai. And I'm Chiang Mai native. This small boutique hotel is located in a way less touristic area of Chiang mai but is still in a short-strolling distance to Chiang Mai main spots like the waroros market, night bazaar, Ta Pae gate and etc. There are lots of cafes, eateries, art galleries, and boutiques nearby. The hotel ...

The At Ping Nakorn Riverside hotel, is a nice and relatively small-size hotel. The hotel facility is new,. Noticed that trees & garden have been recently planted (from observation). The old-style decoration makes the hotel looks nice and quite impressive, all flowers placed in lobby and restaurants are so nice. The breakfast is quite good, and staff service is great. ...

after leaving bangkok to discover thailand's north, rarinjinda was a refreshing resort to escape the big smoke. in a fantastic location by the river, it was an easy walk to the centre of chiang mai but far enough away to avoid the hustle and bustle of the local markets at night. don't think that this resort is secluded though. there are some great restaurants on th...

The resort is not in town area so you will have to get a transport to go to the Night Bazaar or other places in the old city area. It is located in a small street and its subtle minimalist design is a pleasant surprise in the neighbourhood. Fantastic and helpful staff with good english. We stay in Sibsan for 5 days with kids of 7 and 9 and it's our favorite hotel during our 14 days trip of Chiang Mai. We booked 3 nights in this hotel but decided to stay for 7 nights because we really liked it. The location next to the river is beautifull and the staff is really friendly and helpfull. The hotel itself is an 120 year old building and is also really beautifull with very nice rooms. We enjoyed our stay here and when we are in chiang may again we will certainly book this...

At first I was unsure about this hotel, as it is quite a ways away from the old city and center of Chiang Mai, and I was given a room on the street side, which felt quite cramped and had no view. But upon asking to change rooms, the very friendly, helpful staff quickly accommodated my request and moved me into a beautiful riverside room, which was absolutely perfect. T...

In geneal staying in the Imperial hotel in Chiang Mai was a very good decision we made. It was located not in the heart of the center but just 5 minute walk from there. A very high quality of service and a good value for the money we spent, compared to other fine hotels where the prices are 2 or even 3 times higher.

Great helpful staff here. It is one of the best guesthouses in Chiang Mai (I have stayed in several) and very handy to Night Market. Bonus is two good restaurants within 20 meters and the RIMPING supermarket just across the street too. Not the cheapest place but certainly one of the best.

Right across the bridge is the Night Bazaar. It's easy to get transportation from the Riverside House Hotel and the staff is happy to help you if needed. They have a very nice breakfast buffet too. We enjoyed our stay there and look forward to the next time we're there.

The location and the view are the best in Chiang Mai and the room is much more wider, comfortable and price is reasonable than I think. It isn't fair that so many reviewers write so much dissatisfaction and underestimate the review at this price.Everyone writes so many unfair bad things, so visitors are decreasing at this hotel and management falls a vicious circle. Very enjoyable, relaxing, tranquil and peaceful stay - Little bit from the old town so Taxi App Grab is essential - Only negatives and very minor at that - Massive trees block out the sun from the pool area and as such water remains baltic all day - Breakfast could offer a little bit more of a verity like some cereals - Would definitely recommend Granary Resort as a ...

The Grace House is an awesome place to stay! It was about a 20min walk from the train station and was easy to find. We got in at about 8am and they let us leave our bags until check in, around noon, while we walked around town. Very close to the Night Bazzar and a leisurely 15min walk from the Old City. Upon checking in, the room was clean with a big comfy bed (double...

Location very good, near tourist area, easy to find, rather quiet environment. 7-11 nearby. Small place, rather old building, not very orderly nor sparkling clean, but has kinda homy feeling. This place was perfect for our family of 4 (32, 32, 5, 3 yo) ; we wished to stay at a place where we could connect with locals, experience chiang mai from outside of the tourist zone and have a quiet inviting space. the train into chiang mai was four (4) hours late (brake problems), so about 1am the tuktuk driver helps me by waking the night manager and they are happy to help me with my bags up to my room, leaving paperwork to daylight hours. mr sawat has travelled a lot and is good to speak with (great english as well as french and dutch). This is a new hotel. It is within walking distance to the city center. The rooms were spacious and clean. Friendly and helpful staff. There is a travel agency located in the hotel. Pros are great strategic location, clean room and quiet place, available water cooler, security card access and good staff service. Stay at ground floor furthest from entrance. Cons: Only issue is sewage smell from water in bathroom basin during usage. Owner need to do something about it. Otherwise everything else is fine.

I had an amazing stay at Tawan Court. Staff was always smiling and friendly. Room is your typical "budget" style room and the A/C rocked. Bed was good, room very clean and good shower pressure with hot water. Nice and quiet location right across from the Night Market and Night Bizarre. When I return to Chiang Mai, I will stay here again for sure.

I stayed there 2 nights in a single room, with two friends staying together in another room. We just went out each day for work, and come back at night to sleep. The location will be convenient for you only if you have a car. If you do so, several places in Chiengmai are within 10-15 min drive. The hotel is 1.5 km deep from the main road. As the name implies, it is qui...

The location is great surrounded by art galleries, café and pub & restaurant (Goodview and Riverside). Simple American breakfast is included in the price. The room is clean and cozy. Almost the entire house is made of wood, very classic. Staff is friendly and very supportive. The house is at the back door of Wat Ket temple. Highly recommend!

This place is for backpackers. I think you need a special form of taste in interior decoration to appreciate this. place The rooms are retro with (very) old TVs etc. the floors are polished grey concrete. The owner is very nice and helpful. The place used to be a house, but is converted into a 7 room guesthouse.

We had a wonderful stay at River Arts Hotel. Super gorgeous grounds, very cool art everywhere, clean and spacious room! The hotel staff upgraded us to a larger room at no cost and the bed was very comfortable. The only downside was being a bit out of the way from all the action of Chiang Mai. We still enjoyed our stay.

I booked this cottage as a surprise present to my parents for their anniversary. The cottage was lovely. It is far from town city centre which was what we wanted. I have been stayed at different hotels in Chiang Mai several times, most of them are quite nice. Athitan is very impressive by its beautiful surroundings.
