Matsu Island has many unique features, but I don’t think there is any place where you can fully enjoy them as much as in Qiongbie Village. If you want to immerse yourself in a village with preserved Minnan architectural style, this hotel is a good choice. First, the location. Although a car came to pick us up from Beiguan Airport, it is also accessible by bus or on foot if you wish. Among the mountainous village, this spot is relatively low-level, so it’s not tiring. The owner is a hardworking lady. Even though her English is limited, she provides explanations about the village and shows concern about whether you would like to stop by a convenience store, demonstrating good hospitality. She seems to manage other guest houses as well, so don’t expect quick responses. However, looking for speed in Qiongbie Village is different altogether. By the way, cash payment is required. Compared to the exterior, the interior has been renovated, resembling a log cabin. Some may notice minor details, but overall it’s quite good. There’s air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and a TV. Breakfast is served in a separate house. Many places in Qiongbie Village have been converted into guest houses, and dining is typically a communal experience. The breakfast is just standard bread, so for those wanting more variety, it’s better to eat out. However, be cautious as the mornings are slow and nights are early. Without stopping by a convenience store, I would have been a dinner refugee. Since Beiguan Island itself is small, it might also be an interesting option to go to another village for a meal and then return. Finally, walking around Qiongbie Village at night and in the morning is enjoyable. The overall streetscape, distinctive architectural styles, the vividly colored Tianhou Temple, stone slabs and air raid shelters that remind you of the front line during the Chinese Civil War—this is a place that makes you want to return once you’ve come.

It is located in the most beautiful village in Beigan. Owner is so helpful and friendly and she drives us to airport when arrival and departure. Room is spacious and comfortable and just faces the sea, view is perfect! Highly recommended !
The island was still gorgeous even after summer (I visited in October, after the peak season when travellers visit Matsu islands to see the legendary Blue Tears). The room was much more spacious and comfortable than I thought, and the village was the most beautiful village I have ever stayed in.

The English-speaking owner provided information about the island. The information about spots not listed in the tourist guide was helpful. They handle ferry tickets from Bridge Village to Daegu Island for 300 yuan. Rental scooters are available for 500 yuan per 24 hours, and drop-off at the airport for early morning flights was allowed. Breakfast featured the famous egg sandwich. They will rent you a scooter if you have a Japanese driver's license and an international driving permit. The international driving permit was used only for reference in Chinese translation. Among the accommodations in the Qinxinbi area, I chose this one for its reasonable price, and the room was clean and comfortable. It was impressive that the TV remote had a silicone cover, and the wall switch for the light was wrapped.
