couldn't ask for more”
We really enjoyed our stay at Chitwan Village Resort, the staff were excellent, attentive and friendly without being pushy. The room was clean. We asked the hotel to suggest some activities and they say down with us and worked out a package at a fair price, after which we were transferred to all our activities hassle free. Overall one of the most pleasant hotels either of us have stayed in. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful and quiet”
My friend and I stayed here for almost a whole week. We were very satisfied with the staff, food, room and surroundings. There is a nice and chill atmosphere at Chitwan Village Resort, and we are glad we ended up here, there are so many options in Sauraha!

Flowers, elephants and superb service”
Two nights were just not enough at lovely Chitwan Village Resort. We were whisked from the bus station to the resort and offered a complimentary drink. We booked two rooms that were not part of a package. This allowed us to customize our safari to Chitwan National Park. The staff were so helpful in putting together our daylong jeep safari. They even connected us with a couple also at the resort who wanted to do the same thus making it affordable for all of us. At sunset, one can sit on their balcony and watch the 3 elephants be ridden home right next to the resort. The grounds are beautiful, rooms immaculate, and it is within easy walking distance of the river and village. The food is okay and enjoyed in a sweet outdoor pavilion. The deluxe rooms are the best deal.

Relaxing and well catered for by the staff”
Overall I enjoyed my stay at Chitwan Village. I arrived outside the village on a local bus but after speaking to one of the tourist offices the manager of the resort came and picked me up on his moped free of charge. I planned my entire time in Chitwan directly with the resort including canoe ride, jungle walk, jeep safari and my bus back to Kathmandu. It took a lot of discussion and negotiating to get it down to a reasonable price but they were very friendly owners and staff, they made my stay extremely comfortable and were always genuinely interested to hear how my day was. Our guide for the 2 days was also excellent. The only downside was that it was very humid when I was there and the power kept cutting out making it quite unbearable at times but unfortunately that is the nature of Chitwan NP - not the fault of Chitwan Village Resort.

All round fantastic experience”
We were happy with all aspects of our visit at Chitwan Village Resort. The staff are very service minded and friendly and will help you with anything you need that will make your stay as great as possible. They offer all the trips at reasonable prices and the guides they use are very knowledgeable. We extended our trip by a day to have some more of the experience.

Highly recommended ”
I highly recommend this lodge for the stay in Chitwan. The owner Rajendra is super-friendly and helpful, his staff is well-trained. They helped us to arrange the bus and the activities in the park for a reasonable price. The rooms are spacious, equipped with mosquito nets, fan and air conditioner. There are power cuts in the city, but the lodge has its own reserve battery, so one lamp per room, fan and wi-fi are working anyway. The lodge restaurant serves decent breakfast, lunch and dinner (although it takes them time to prepare food, so it is better to order lunch and dinner in advance). There may be problems with power sockets, but there are always extra ones at the common terrace. Very nice place overall, recommended. PS The bus ride from Kathmandu takes at least 8 hours and the roads are awful, so it may be a good idea to use the plane to the closest airport. If you use the bus, take the air conditioned one. Chitwan Safari bus company is OK, Mountain Overland is bad.

Amazing Hotel in Paradise”
After arriving in hectic Kathmandu we went straight to Chitwan to get out of the hustle and bustle and into some nature. Chitwan was perfect for this and our stay at CVR could not have been better. The owner picked us up from the bus station and we were shown to our beautiful spacious room with mozzie nets and ensuite. Big windows looked out onto green forests or ricefeilds and our balcony had a nice couple of seats for us to sit and relax viewing the peaceful surrounds. The hotel has 2 beautiful eles who slept in a little shed just off our balcony and we would be able to watch them be groomed by the mahouts and could hear them trumpet which was very special! The staff went above and beyond in making our stay and enjoyable one. The owner spoke with me clearly with excellent english and in much detail about the sightseeing opportunities in the national park and touristic activities. Our guide, Jugart, took us on a day trek through the jungle which was as authentic as it gets with much information about the animals and inside knowledge, many interesting stories and facts. As we did not spot a rhino he took time out of his afternoon the next day after labouring to take us on a special trip to the river to see a rhino who was bathing. This was a life experience i will never forget and was a truly unforgettable one. Our waiter also was very sweet, helpful and attentive serving us up some of the most delicious meals we ate throughout nepal and simply the best Masala Tea ever! Have and will recommend and cant wait to stay again!

Excellent Spot”
Lovely spot for a few days . . . Beautiful garden, friendly, helpful staff. Raj sat down with us upon our arrival and explained all the activities in Chitwan. He arranged all our activities and even had one of his staff transport us on more than one occasion. Resort is one of the nicest in town and is very reasonably priced. Perfect spot in Chitwan!

comfortable hotel close to Chitwan National Park”
I only stayed here for one night as I passed through Chitwan, on the off-season when it was fairly empty, but I still enjoyed my stay here. The manager and his staff were friendly and helpful, and the staff cooked excellent vegetarian food. The room was clean and comfortable, though it was hot without AC (so if there is an option for AC when you book, I recommend it during the summer months). I didn't much like seeing how the two elephants were kept in such a small shelter, though they did seem well attended to and their conditions were probably typical for a place where elephant riding is a tourist attraction. Overall I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in Chitwan.

Nice and peaceful stay in the lap of the Nature ”
We stayed at the hotel for 2 days and we explored a lot of things in Chitwan. When we arrived in the hotel, we were welcomed by a drink. We had a lunch there which was very nice. The food in the hotel was a little was a little costly which i can understand. There was a major problem with their wifi connectivity. We found it very difficult to get wifi in our room. We have to go outside the room which was very annoying in this winter season. Overall, it was a nice hotel with nice open view and well maintained garden.

A great palce to stay”
Enjoy staying in this hotel. There is a nice garden in front of the room and surrounding is really quiet. They have chairs and table outside the room so can sit and relax there. The room is very clean and comfortable, bathroom shower is good. Food prepared is delicious and is not expensive. Staffs are very friendly. Highly recommend anyone going to Chitwan to stay in this hotel.

This resort provides basic facilities at a reasonable price. The staff is extremely helpful. The front desk will arrange Jeep, elephant and canoe rides at a very reasonable price. Great staff and pleasant Enviroment ”
Stayed for 3 nights. Was met at airport which was nice surprise. Stayed in Deluxe Room as wanted to be on upper floor. Room was spacious and clean with large bathroom/hot water. Comfortable bed and some English speaking channels on tv. Some modernisation needed but exactly as I expected and I was more than happy with room especially as I planned to be out exploring during day. Upon arrival I was given a welcome drink and agreed to meet with tour asvisor to give me ideas of the various tour options available to me for exploring the area. There was no pressure to buy but I was more than happy to make my tour arrangements through the hotel. I was looked after on all the tours I booked and would recommend making arrangements with hotel. If you arrange in advance you may save if you opt into a package deal which I believe includes room, breakfast, dinner and tours. Breakfast was a choice of eggs served with toast and juice and choice of coffee or tea. Hotel is located about 15min Max walk from river front. I was happy to not have a hotel near river as I knew I could easily walk to a river front hotel to enjoy sunset and have dinner. It is however dark at night so advise you bring a torch :) Hotel grounds/gardens well maintained and it is a pleasant enviroment to stay for a short safari break. Power intermittent as subject to load shedding but there are power points in eating areas downstairs where you can charge items when the power is off in room. Wifi good and I had a Nepal Ncell sim as a backup which had good reception in town. I would recommend hotel for short safari stays for those happy to not have river view :) the staff especially could not have done more for me to make my stay comfortable, safe and organised :)

Go for it, you won't regret it!!”
Great hotel because: - the staff is very friendly! All of them really would like you to feel good and satisfied at all times. - clean room - great location (close to the river where every morning the elephants take their baths and close to the main street). No loud noices at all. - fantastic food. We normally tend not to have lunch and diner in the hotel where we are staying but this was really an exception, after 4 months of traveling. So this is also a recommendation for the people who are staying elsewhere. They have a nice garden and patio. - hotel can arrange many trips for the national park. We did the jeep safari and jungle walking tour (no elephant riding because of the absuse) and the guides were very professional. - last is more personal. I wanted to suprise my boyfriend with a chocalate cake for his birthday. The manager arranged not only the cake with nice candles but the entire staff came and offered also a flower necklage and a pressent from the hotel! So special!

very good resort ”
The arrival was a bit rough, which they should be a bit more mindful (when you arrive at 8pm,your room should be ready... Otherwise it was a very nice stay. Very nice breakfast, safari tours at reasonable prices. Great location with elephants right by the hotel, with rice fields. Beautiful room. We enjoyed our stay.

Lovely place to stay. Go for the deluxe room.”
We had a great stay. The staff are charming. The breakfasts are big and tasty. The grounds are pretty and very relaxing. Excellent location. They have their own guides and the tours are around the same price as those offered in town. Tip: we did the full day jeep safari which very few people do. We saw all the major animals apart from tigers and only saw one other jeep. Only the full day tours can go deep into the jungle. Tip: the deluxe room offes better value for money than the standard room.

High temperatures and little relief from the heat”
Staff went above and beyond to pick me up and drop me off at the bus stop free of charge. The hotel itself was modern comparative to other hotels I stayed at in Nepal, but the power cut more often than other locations and the generator was turned on only part of the time to operate the ceiling fan in my room to provide relief from the 37c hot and humid temperatures!. My room was not equipped with a TV and the wall mounted air con unit did not work. The worst part about the room were the hard matresses on the twin beds, both of which were so hard it felt like you were sleeping on the floor. I stayed two nights and didn't sleep well throughout the duration of my stay.
