“You get what you pay for ”
Was pleasantly surprised arriving at Citadines Iloilo. Location was great- it was at the heart of the city, downtown. It's walking distance to the Capitol and to Roberto's (siopao!). However, given that it's in downtown, expect to hear occassional traffic/ street noise (room at the 4F). Room was very clean and modern. They have several shared spaces in the lobby so you can work on a table or sit in their comfortable couches. One thing that disappointed me in my stay though was after check-in (this was around 5pm), one of their staff just entered my room saying "housekeeping". I did not call for housekeeping and I'm assumign the staff already knows the rooms that are taken. Granted, i did not double lock the door since I was also leaving in a bit and was just answering a few emails. But I dont think the staff should be entering rooms without permission. I shared this with the receptionist on duty and she was apologetic. However, I am sharing this review to raise awareness especially if you're a solo traveller - always always double lock. It might have been an edge scenario but I was definitely startled.
