Where to stay in Ayutthaya
Ayutthaya hotels & accommodations

Stayed here on 7th April 2015 in the Pool Suite. The staff were friendly and welcoming at the front desk. Lobby connects to an art gallery which is very nice and you can purchase the paintings. The architecture leading to the rooms and restaurant is very different and well designed. Standard rooms looks like they're from Greece with an shared swimming pool. The Pool...

It's not easy to find a decent hotel in Ayutthaya (or in many of the provinces for that matter). This is a large hotel that can easily cater for (and did) tour groups, conferences, very large functions, etc. Rooms although dated and facilities of a high standard. Comfortable bed and large bathroom. Everything worked. There is a choice of 3 restaurants. An Italian, the ...

I stayed here with my daughter for 2 nights to explore the sights of Ayutthaya. Hotel is a short tuktuk ride away from the sights. The pool is great to chill out in after a day of sightseeing, it has a great view of the river and some temples as well. Rooms were spacious beautiful decorated and come with an outdoor style shower. All in all a perfect stay

the public areas of the hotel seem a little old and worn but the rooms are enormous, very comfortable suites with traditional timber furniture. the balconies are large and offer some of the best views in ayutthaya. staff were willing to go above and beyond in order to ensure my needs were met. i love this old girl and always choose to stay here.

Ayutthaya is a nice little town north of Bangkok. it is a nice escape from the madness of the big city but still retains all the comforts. the city was the former capital of thailand/siam. there are many wats/temples to see and the price of living is a bit cheaper than in bangkok. the hotel was nice, do yourself a favor when booking and spend the couple extra dollars ...

Where do I start with review on this hotel?! We stayed at this place for 2 nights & had the best time in Ayutthaya. On the first night, we borrowed bikes from the hotel & rode all the way to the historical site. It was just dawn & there was breeze for the summer night. Light was still enough to see everything & even Queen's Summer palace across the river. Also had di...

This is an apartment style hotel situated roughly halfway between Ayutthaya town center and the Rojana industrial park. Because of the large number of factory plants nearby, you will find quite a number of business travellers from overseas staying at this hotel. The hotel is well maintained and modern. Room is spacious and the bath room is stocked with all those it...

In short, the hotel was great with a clean and nicely decor room and great complimentary breakfast. When we decided ,last minute, to stay another night at Ayutthaya, it was a no brainer that this hotel would be the choice of stay. One point to note: bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste! It is not included.

Staying at Ruen Tubtim has been the highlight of my trip to Thailand so far. Yes, not a temple or a beach, but a hotel! I didn't realize when booking that I would need to take a 5 minute ferry back and forth from Ruan Tubtim to get to the main part of Ayutthaya, where the Historical Park and floating market are, but this was actually part of the charm. I enjoyed being ...

Ampo Resident is conveniently situated in the Ampo Mall (The Sky Shopping Center), just about a hundred meter when you turn from Asia Highway into Ayutthaya. So, you have plenty room of parking lot with 24-hour security. Lobby is on the fourth floor, as well as restaurant (for breakfast and dinner), fitness room, and swimming pool. The reception counter is somewhat sm...

The P.U. Inn Resort is located only a minute walk from lots of different local restaurants and bars. A tuk-tuk-station and a travel information office are also located maximum 5 minutes from the hotel by walking. You can reach the historical park via tuk-tuk of ayutthaya whithin 10-15 minutes. The english-speaking (i mean, really english, which is quite rare i thailand...

So lovely! The staff here is INCREDIBLY helpful, they arranged a motorcycle rental for us and helped us with directions, even found ponchos for us because it was raining! They genuinely care about their patrons and speak VERY good english. Although breakfast is not included, fruit and coffee/tea/water is available for all at any time, which is a really nice touch. The Park is a family-run guesthouse that will just make you feel at home. It is located in the middle of Ayutthaya island and you can start exploring the park by foot. The garden of the guesthouse is just beautiful ...

We were very pleased with QZone Boutique Hotel. We had a rental car and were travellinf throughout Northern Thailand so were only choosing hotels which have Parking, Internet, and Breakfast included in the rates. The Internet worked very well throughout our stay. The Parking was on-site, the breakfast was very good. The breakfast was a choice of 9-10 Hot Main courses,...

I have stayed at many places, but this is quite possibly one of the best bookings I've ever made. When I first stepped into the room, I was very impressed with its modern and vibrant design. It was luxurious and tastefully decorated. Tuey later told me that she had put her heart and soul into the interior design herself. Also, the place is very new – only a couple of m...

The staff at the Ayodhara Village were absolutely incredible. In a nation renown for friendly people they stood out - nothing was too much trouble and they were always there to make our stay enjoyable. I couldn't rate them highly enough. Each room at the hotel was a little teak house and these were beautiful and clean. The grounds were amazing and I enjoyed being ou...

some of you are quick to complain, but if this place had been good you wouldn't have said one thing on here! I had a great time in belcon, and i was actually upset leaving there yesterday. Got to the hotel around 9pm 17th oct, staff at the reception were lovely to me and my family. Because of the time of the year we went they had started cutting down on everything and ...

Phromsuk Place is located in the old Ayutthaya Island but not far from the historical park and others famous spot. Easily get lifted by local Tuk-Tuk or Motocycle taxi. 10 minutes from Ayutthaya Railway station. Minimart near by and some local shop around to grab quick meal. Standard room is at another building so pick your choice.

I spent three nights at Ban Sabaidee Hotel in Ayutthaya and wish I had stayed longer. The welcome I received from the wonderful hosts, especially Yui, was amazing. I have not met many people who are so friendly, helpful and happy to talk as Yui. Granted, I was her only guest, but I would imagine she is like this when busy too. The hotel is a short tuk tuk ride from t...

This place really close to the Ayutthaya Historical Park and the night market. Rooms and facilities really great and the staff are helpful. Best place for backpackers, solo travelers. I had a great time here and i meet few really amazing peoples

This is a family hostel run by a young couple. It was just open this year, so there was not much reviewes when I booked it. So we were a little bit nervous in the first place. However, the owner, who also work in the reception, was a great guy that provide lots of information about Ayutthaya that makes our stay in Ayutthaya much better and meaningful. The hotel is in a...

Why I say that, because not only the place is clean and well taken care of, the staff were tremendously considerate, helpful and kind. As soon as I confirmed my booking, Vicky contacted me through email asking on my arrival and plans. Since I came from Bangkok early in the morning by train, I didn't manage to have my breakfast. Vicky was so considerate to not just assi...

I must say it's lovely, clean and quiet place. Very well located, super close to Ayutthaya Historical Park and all the most important temples. The staff is nice and helpful. The breakfast is so-so, I mean, there's only toasts and coffee available, but still ok. Oh, and it's super close to Night Market. Highly recommended if you plan visit Ayutthaya overnight!

1) verry near to train station. If you arrive befor 19h go by fairy 5bat/per Otherwise the tuk tuk will charge 100bat to get around the river. 5min drive. 2) extremely friendly young couple The two were soooo nice. She explained everything in a good english and handled the booking of bus to chiang mai. He does all the work on bikes and scooters We even got a...

I would so much want to give this place a perfect rating. Tony is an excellent host. This place is bang opposite the train station and the ambiance is perfect for a hostel. Lot of open space and a good restaurant downstairs. The only problem was a lack of even basic toiletries in the toilets. I know this a hostel, but every good hostel that i have stayed in would at le...

The hostel's location is not too far from Ayutthaya attractions that you can walk or ride to get there from the hostel. The place looks exactly like the photos, very tidy and clean. You can also see the river view from the balcony when you walk through the bedroom door. And the owner is smiley and kind, she is willing to help you about the hostel or about Ayutthaya if ...

This is such a cute little hotel that actually took the time to make the place look nice. Colorful umbrellas adorn the ceiling giving it an artistic feel. The staff is really friendly and you can rent a bicycle for the day, probably the best way to get around ayutthaya, which was really hot when I was there. AC works well, hot shower and the internet here is really fas...

We stayed here for two nights during our visit to Ayutthaya. The welcome is very friendly, we got fresh water and could get quickly to our room. The room (VIP Double) is OK, not very clean at all (toilet was dirty), but it was not quiet. Something like compressor was working day and night. Next day we would like to get breakfast, but breakfast at PK Hostel means: you...

Stockhome hostel is by far one of the best hostels I have stayed in since being in thailand. The owner-Poon- is super friendly and unbeleivabley helpful and speaks good English, and made me feel very welcome as a guest. The rooms and the hostel on a whole is extremely clean and tidy which is the main thing I look for in hostel accommodation and this exceeded my expect...

I picked Slowtree as I wanted somewhere to stay that reflected Ayutthaya. I was very happy with my choice. this place is the perfect mix of old and functional. the hard wood floors, plants everywhere and wood panels on the walls give the hostel a strong touch of nature while the comfortable beds, beautifully hand painted artwork and small quirky pieces of furniture ...

The hostel are very clean, new, service mind, helpful, unlimited self service breakfast but not nearly to the convenience place or in Ayutthaya city not have much taxi or bus you need to rent the motorcycle from the Ayutthaya railway station to go and travel around there is gonna be safe cost and convenient to enjoy your trip. but i recommend this hostel is a private ...

This place is a bit out of the way compared to most places in Ayutthaya, but that's what makes it so great! It is so nice that we made a second trip to Ayutthaya just to stay here again and relax. The guesthouse is located on the Chao Phraya and the neighborhood has very few other places to stay so the markets and food stands are the real deal: the food is not western...

+the owner always knows everything about what is going on th Ayutthaya and always sends you to the best place at the best time +hot and powerful shower +reccomended laundry service. Very fast (ok, it was a sunny day) and not too expensive +reccomended in-house bicycle rental +really clean guesthouse +if we will come back to Ayutthaya in the future, we will stay here ag...

This guest house is a good choice, you'll be nicely welcomed, they offer a large range of services, such as bike renting, the food and homemade drinks are good and not expensive for Ayutthaya. One point to know, only the shower on the second floor got hot water. not much of a problem if you know it, but i noticed a bit late.

I have absolutely had a wonderful stay at Baan Are Gong Riverside Homestay. I almost didn’t make it to Ayutthaya and boy oh boy! I would of missed out. This 24 hour side trip from Bangkok has turned into one of my most memorable moments in Thailand. It’s a major highlight of my trip. The staff is just super friendly. I mean, they’re amazing. I arrived early and they le...

I stayed here for 2 nights, I originally booked the 1 night but it was so nice I decided to stay 2, each room is like a privrate villa with its own car park space so its very convenient. Location wise it is very close to the train station and all the temples etc. I have worked in Ayutthaya for many years and stayed in pretty much all the hotels here, this is by far the...

I want to go back to the Bouchic Hostel. The owner rehabbed an old barn into cute boutique rooms and decorated with his own collection of antique furniture pieces. He's also quite an accomplished artist - check out his paintings in the lobby. There's a nice little fish pond and a fair bit of greenery, which makes a really calm, natural atmosphere. The service was...

Had a great time here! Tuk and Boy run a hi-class operation. Real family feeling, amazing character-filled neighborhood. Don't forget to check out the local noodle shop and the more obscure ruins nearby. Bird-watching in the local canal also ain't too shabby. Bravo, a class act thru and thru...!

This hostel is not in the centre of activity, but it is quiet, and the owner and her brother are very friendly. The owner may not be able to speak English that well, but we could hold a conversation, and she used google translate to find the English words she needed. There is food next door and a couple of proper, affordable massage places nearby. I had a very re...

The Rose garden is excellent value, the room was clean medium sized. The staff friendly and efficient with some English. The hotel is near small shops and restaurants. Room was simple but clean, even free toiletries! Our room was by the river so very light and airy. Maybe could've had a mosquito net but many places don't. Ensuite bathroom which is a luxury and a nice seating area by the river. The owner did his upmost to help us with our requests even driving to find us a tuktuk and helping us to negotiate a fair price which we were ...

We booked a large double room and were very impressed with what we got for our money. The room and bed were indeed very large and comfortable. Located only a 5 minute tuk tuk drive from the train station (note: we were charged 100 but on the way back got it for only 60). Willy our host was extremely nice and friendly, offering us a lot of information about how to exp...

I feel very lucky to have found Baan Keang Chol. Modern, clean, quiet, with great views of the river, fast internet, not far to the Night Market, and ruins to explore just across the road - I couldn't have asked for more. There a number of good restaurants (and two 7-11s, of course) within walking distance. Prior to booking, I had some worries about noise from river tr...

we felt stunning by the size of the house. And surprisingly we were the very 1st guest of the house as it just began to run. As per its name, the giant balcony or terrace? facing the river. Real reviews for hotels
Of course the best in Ayutthaya are the temples, plenty of them. Ruins from the 17-18th century battles with Cambodia, but what ruins! Really amazing, touching, and all with colours of dark reds (old bricks), green (tress, grass), whitish (old stucco) in front of the blue of the sky.
Slightly too expensive for entrance fees to sights. Main problem is the number of feral dogs that pose a real hazard to travelers, they are aggressive and will attempt to bite without provocation.
The ancient capital of Siam, much of which was destroyed during a war with Burma in 1740's. The remains of many old palaces have UN World Heritage Status and well worth a visit.
it's a nice place to travel to, and seeing all the ancient ruins in the heart of the city, surrounding by today's living style.
There are plenty of tourist attractions located not to far from each others. Two days not enough for visiting all of these places.
Ayuthaya is a beautiful town to explore full of ancient ruins and temples. Take a river cruise or cycle around this charming place and try the delicious food.
Besides ruins all over the city, it hes nothing interesting. It was the only place in Thailand where I felt out of place.
Lovely City.....live in Lopburi and just love to come here once a month for the food and sight seeing of temples.
I heard Ayutthaya was a great city but was still surprised at how many beautiful places there are to see.
So much to be seen. UNESCO listed temples, river trips (and it is SO much cooler on the river). Many attractions are accessible by bicycle if you are fit enough & not worried by the heat.
Ayutthaya is quite a large city. It's cultural and has some spectacular ruins to visit. Would recommend you visit.
A lovely city withlenty of historical sites to visit. Easy to get around the city by Tuk tuk or cycling.
Its a place with fantastic historical sites but food such as tom yam can't be found or not the usual Thailand dishes.
Historical City, it's the previous capital city of Thailand now become world heritage. Lots of ruins and temple.
The famous historical site in Thailand. If you are a ancient-ruin-lover or history-lover, this is the place you shouldn't miss.
It is an Unesco city which has a long history of Thailand. It is to go for studing that what has happened before Rattanakosin Era.
old city, nice weather but still need development about tourist attraction mostly about the temples and also information
If you like Cambodia Angkor Wat or Borobudur you would definitely adore this place. Beautiful and peaceful place.
Plenty of temples and ruins to see. Good food. very cheap area compared to the major cities. A nice get away from the craziness.
Good for seeing the old capital. Learing about some of the temples. Also the roti saimai is the best there.
really nice to got there . Less impressive than Ankor temples of course, but still worth to go there .
This is a much less busier place and most major cities in Thailand. More relaxed with plenty of ruins and old temples to see.
Old Capital City of Thailand and World Heritage Site Feel fresh from organic food and Clean Air in 40 minutes aways from Bangkok
Read the history before you are here, to make your visit more interesting. Some stalls really serving good food.
A short journey from Bangkok, this city is well worth a couple of days of anyone's holiday. There is a wealth of cultural and historical sites, and the city has a relaxing atmosphere.
Great place to stay if in ayutthaya, clean rooms good gym and pool. Good service and food is good too
Cultural and Historical ancient city of thailand. You will enjoy walking around the ruins historical places at sunset or enjoy a sightseeing boat tour along the river.
Thailand is extremely interesting in how the general personality of the people in each region, sub region, city and neighbourhood varies.
We stayed here only one night but it's very good experience to see the old Thai temple and learn their history.
This is a great place full of lovely old temples, all spolt by the retards that scream around in the early morning hours in their cars and on powerful motorbikes, untouched by police because I think daddy probably has lots of money.
