Where to stay in Bandar Seri Begawan
Bandar Seri Begawan hotels & accommodations
Big room, Located in a peaceful place outskirt of Bandar Seri Begawan.
The room was nicer & bigger than I imagined through the photos even though the price wasn't THAT expensive really. Location is decent as there's a few good restaurants in the back and a grocery store. It's very quiet in the day and at night. Like all of Brunei, it's VERY SAFE. Walk around at night with all your jewelry and cash hanging out and no one will harm you even...
There was an abundance of hotels to choose from in Brunei Darussalam, and we were not disappointed with our choice. Close to airport, with free transport to and from hotel. Breakfast (buffet) included and a big selection of eating locations in shopping mall same complex as hotel. We certainly will stay again.
This is the second time I have stayed at the Centrepoint hotel, and just as last time it did not disappoint in terms of the size of the room, the facilities and the price was also reasonable. However, the building is getting quite old now, so it's not in the best state when compared to other newer hotels in Bandar Seri Begawan. Breakfast was also a bit worse than...
I really enjoyed my stay at the Radisson Hotel in Bandar Seri Begawan. Not only was the room well-appointed and comfortable, but it was also ideally located for me to join the National Day Parade on the 23rd of February. The breakfast was delicious and I was really pleased to be given a late check-out without any hassles or having to pay more. I will definitely be bac...
the hotel is nice as it's the same building as the mall - the new shopping mall in bandar seri begawan, brunei. good services and a lot of happening things happen around. for those who are looking place for fun (clubbing etc) and drinks (alcoholic related), brunei is not the place. but for those who appreciated malay muslim cultures, nice people and great foods - welco...
we enjoyed using this hotel as our base in bandar seri begawan. it's a bit out of downtown, but close to plenty of shopping, restaurants and the night market. buses are easily caught into the city center (they stop running at 5:30p.m.) the staff was very helpful, there is a shuttle service for far less than a cab if you need to get to and from the bus or airport. defin...
Brunei hotel is a really nice hotel to stay, it have a very best location in Bandar Seri Begawan (capital city of Brunei Darussalam). This hotel is located precisely in the heart of "Bandar" so we can go around the city easier, it also located near one of the famous tourist attraction in Bandar seri begawan which is Kampong Ayer.
I have to say that this hotel was ideal for my short stay in Bandar Seri Begawan. The location is a bit out of the way but if you don't mind walking, the location is just perfect. The free shuttle is really helpful because BSB does not have a reliable public transport system. Free pick up and drop off to the airport as well as free trip to tourist spots within BSB. I f...
Highly recommended for a short stay in Bandar Seri Bongawan . Strategic location sorrounded by super markets and restraurants . 10 mins from Airport and Gadong malls . If you are looking for just a basic accomodation in Berunai , this is the best hotel for you .
Booked this hotel as Agoda offered quite a good deal. It is reasonably cheap as we were a party of 5; which I reserved additional bed for my dad. Location of hotel is considered great as it was not far from Bandar Seri Begawan. There is a restaurant (MyTown) located next to it which can offer sumptuous and variety meals. On rooms, there were clean and comfy for my sta...
It was surprisingly pleasant. With such a competitive rate, I was expecting a run-down building with poor service. But the building was quite new and well-maintained, the parking space ample, the rooms spacious with good beds and the staff was courteous, friendly and helpful. Located just off the Muara-Stutong Highway and close to the Jerudong Park Medical Centre, the ...
I stay in hotels about 100 nights/year. I normally stay in 4-stars, but with only two nights in Bandar Seri Begawan hotel and no other great hotel choices in the downtown area, I chose the Jubilee. Long story short I would never stay anywhere else in BSB. Staff were ultra friendly and helped me in any way I asked. All of BSB is within a 20 minute walk of the hotel. ...
Had a good stay in Starlodge, the staff are very accomodating and helpful, especially Mr. Ahmad Za'im and Mr. Abdul Afiq. Both of them are very friendly and patiently answer me on all the query i asked. 5 star service for them. We travel to Brunei every 2 months, this is our first time stay in this hotel because recommended by ours friend. They provide basement carpark, is safe and good for customers. Staying in Bandar? .....go no further than this place to stay.Value for money with a spotless clean hotel.Staff are English spoken if needed....better than many English peopl.A little outside Bandar....a brisk walk...but even then the hotel have a free shuttle. I enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to return Martin Steer
Good location hotel, spacious and clean room, sufficient toiletries provided, like disposable toothbrush, shaving kit, shower cap etc., are all well prepared. Staffs able to spoken reasonably English. Breakfast are actually good, but hygienic have to be taken out for dessert site, as there are lot of sand flies on the pastries that feel queasy. Hotel also provide fr...
In general, Hotel Gina Suite was okay! Cheap but clean. Our problem was we visited Brunei at the wrong time - Ramadhan. Everything was on a standstill - no eating and drinking during the daytime. But the hotel's friendly staff bought most of the food for us to eat inside the room.
In Gadong There is Life... u can go Gadong Mall and going around. In Bandar Seri Begawan u feel very quite....hehhehee Great hotel for budget trip
if you want to go to bandar seri begawan, it is near town.. just walking distance, with the existing bridge, it become nearer..
Overall, the hotel location is perfect as it is located near Brunei Sports Hub. It is a walking distance to the Swimming pool there.I was impressed that D Anggerik conceiege picked us up at the airport.Normally, a 5 star hotel has such service. In conclusion, i would like to say the staffs there were friendly and always give us assiatnce when in need.
The hotel is quite far from down town (city proper) but it's okay as the bus fare would only cost you 1 Brunei Dollar to go anywhere within Bandar Seri Begawan city proper. I just love the staff of this hotel, they're so friendly and accommodating. One suggestion, please give a map for your guests upon arrival/check-in at the hotel specially for foreigners.
Even though the place is far from the city, we're able to go around known places in Bandar Seri Begawan through a rented car at reasonable price. The staff are very accommodating especially Ms. Gina who assisted us in all our needs. Airport transfer is free which is very important since taxi fare is very expensive. We enjoyed a lot our stay in Brunei and in Venice Lodg...
We needed a place to stay for 3 nights to attend a wedding. Our group of 5 including our elderly mum really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The apartment was fully equipped and clean. the Staff especially Jenny at the front desk were very friendly and all our request were promptly attended. We will definitely stay here next time we are in town
The place is very much strategically located as shopping malls, night market, restaurants, convenience stores, and the bus stop are just within a walking distance. I chose this guest house since its location close to the airport. It should be no problem because I read the review that hotel can pick up with additional charge,....

Cheap places to stay in Bandar Seri Begawan
This place is great while spending a couple of days in Brunei! Pros - clean rooms, warm showers (not that you need it), small kitchen area, filtered drinking water, free tea/coffee, excellent staff (always smiling, super friendly and helpful), location is walkable to night market, town center, lots of place to eat nearby. Cons - the green fake grass floor, it’s rea...
Bell, the owner, is one of thefriendliest hosts I have ever met. We had a lovely stay. Bell helped us as much as possible by picking us up from the airport and giving us a ride to the center. To be honest, the location of the villa is not ideal but Bell, his staff and the villa itself make up for that one. Soon he is opening a guesthouse in Miri as well. We had a prev...

This is my first time to book an "Agoda home" and don't know what to expect since I will be staying with the homeowners in a separate room and I was surprised! This is the best place to stay if you're coming to Brunei. The staff are really friendly and very knowledgeable of Brunei and the surroundings of the apartment building. The living room was spacious and beautiful! It was the two balconies and the comfy-looking couch that really got me. My family was absolutely in love with the apartment. The question is "What can you tell us about Bandar Seri Begawan?" The answer is "Nothing". In this case, what you might find in Wikitravel is all there is.
Clean and organize city. Less traffic problem. Recommend for F&B investor since the choice of food is less here.
You can see all interesting things of history, culture in BSB in one or two days, and it is best to combine your visit there with visits to Sarawak or/and Sabah (both Eastern Malaysia) because of their common British colonial history.
There is really little to do. One can see all the tourist sights in half a day. Do make sure to get to the Water Village.
Religious interests are one of the tourist attraction to Brunei. The mosques in the city are fantastic architecture.
quiet and clean place. good road network and facilities. nice for relaxation if you want peace and quiet.
Bandar Seri Begawan is ASEAN's most underrated city, but it does has its pros and cons. Pro: Lots of things to see and do.
If you like nature and wan to escape from busy city, the place is okay for relaxation. Public transportation here is expensive and not many options, mostly by taxi.
I would not recommend staying more than one full day in Bandar Seri Begawan; as you can see easily see and experience all the main sights and attractions in this time - all the major buildings plus a 1 hour boat ride to see the water village and the monkeys and crocodiles.
Great place for a stopover but also a great tourist destination to visit the Mosques and Museums. Nature tours such as Jungle and mangrove walks and the amazing Probiscus Monkeys.
Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei is very peaceful. Even though the city is not like Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, but slowly it is developing.
Unique taste of Brunei food! examples, local food available at food stalls, try local traditional cuisines such as "ambuyat" and other local cakes available at reasonable prices.
A nice place to check out in the land of Brunei. Here you can expect to calm yourself from the busy city area as most of its places are rural and greenery.
We didn't much have time to visit all the tourist destination of the area since it was holiday in brunei and everything is close .
Very clean laid back town for those who wanted slower pace of life. Recommended to visit during the Aidil Fitri period where the sultan's residence will be opened to public on day 2-4 of Ramadhan.
Felt like I was only tourist here. Make an effort to befriend some locals and you will have the best time with warm friendly people who are proud of their country send want to show it off.
Some may say Brunei is boring, no alcohol, no nightlife, nothing to see, while if ones never bring eyes and hearts to visit, nowhere will impress them unless those places which please the public with claptrap.
This country does despises Smoker and strictly prohibits smoking anywhere inside the city, there is no designated smoking area/spot to accommodate the smokers.
The population of Bandar Seri Begawan is around 140,000 and the metropolitan area is 278,000 as for August 2010.
This latest addition to the beautiful Bandar Seri Begawan is strategically overlooking the historical Kg.
We were well aware of the Liquor restrictions but were unprepared for the no sale of tobacco products .
Bandar Seri Begawan features a tropical rainforest climate with no real dry season. In fact, the city sees heavy precipitation throughout the course of the year with the driest month (March) on average having 120 mm (4.
Lifestyle here is slow and laidback. No entertainment apart from a cinema in The Mall and some coffee outlets.
a very historical place..especially the kampong ayer "the venice of the east" its ashame most of it was being renovated to build new housing scheme.

Located in Jalan Kianggeh the Lapau (Royal Ceremonial Hall) is used for royal traditional ceremonies.
BSB is a quiet city. Not so "touristy", more of relaxed atmosphere. So 2 days is enough. Otherwise, for me, it gets boring if you stay longer.
eventually there is nothing much to do in this country cause it is a Muslim Country, Nightlife is fully ban and no alcohor is serve neither in the hotel.
Small peacefull town with average population . Nice place relaxation and sightseeing for national heritage and water village.
