Where to stay in Banos
Banos hotels & accommodations

This is definitely my favorite hostel in Ecuador. It was almost empty on my first night , which surprised me a lot. But the next day it was full. I extended two nights there because it has a good kitchen, good vibe , good staff and very clean everything. They even change towels every day for that cheap price we pay. I could easily stay here for one more week just beca...

This is an OK place to stay if you don’t need anything fancy, and want something cheap. The floor in our room was just the same worn concrete floor as outside the room, and it didn’t feel especially cozy or comfortable. I don’t think we would stay here again, but it was acceptable for one night.

Upon entering the room, was knocked out by horrible mildew-like smell (I was told by one staff member that it was a cleaning solution and by another it was simply moisture & wood...in any event it smelled horrible the entire time). Also, it looks like such a peaceful location from the pictures, but nope, room was right next to a major highway. So there was the whif...

This hostal was wonderful, Luis was a great host, breakfast was good, room was clean & spacious with a cute balcony and hammock. You can hear the Cascada de la Virgen outside your window, near hiking and 5 minute walk to anywhere in town! Perfecto!

Excellent quality, very well organised and clean. Situated just out of town (5-10min walk) up a fairly steep hill. The owners & family live on site and are very attentive to anything you may need and provide a fantastic breakfast too. There is an immaculate kitchen which is available to use and a small terrace with chairs & hammocks. There are a number of sensible hous...

Very close to the thermal baths and a few nice restaurants nearby. Not in the center of town, but still able to get all the fun attractions booked from my hotel. Laundry service right next door. Didn’t try the food in house, but many options available. Included breakfast

It's so quiet. We actually wondered if we were the only people staying here. The rooms are clean, huge and modern. No AC but the fan works fine for Banos .. Breakfast is good, two options for the continental but tons on menu if you want to pay. Staff are English speaking which was helpful for us.. Right off of Ambato street so about a 1 min walk to everything you need ...

I would definitely recommend staying with Hostal Monte Carmelo if traveling through Baños. The staff was friendly and helpful and the location was just outside of the town center (about 7-8 minutes walk) allowing us to have a quiet night sleep. The gate to the hostel has an extra key entrance for night time security and breakfast was included with our stay. When we wok...

A great 'little' place tucked away in beautiful Banos, an area where everywhere is very much walkable. You might not be right in the centre of action but you are near enough to not feel too separated from civilization and yet far enough to have a sense of privacy. Wifi reception is not the best but it does the job. Shared hangout areas are big and pleasant enough. Mos...

Blanca and Julio were so helpful and friendly. When I first arrived, I couldn't believe how gorgeous the property and its view are. My room was massive and had lovely scenes from the door and windows. I loved it so much, I stayed three times as long as I'd initially planned! I also enjoyed the family's pets, Novita, Cielo, and Gordo, who mostly hang out in the breatht...
