"We very much enjoyed our stay at Hotel Suisse as the hotel is located on the lake front in the center of old town Bellagio. The hotel is old, but nicely kept, with old wooden floors and old but refurbished furniture, newly painted walls and a nice bathroom. If you like to stay in a real Italian place with friendly staff in the center of Bellagio, this is the perfect place. The restaurant is renovated and very modern and they serve traditional dishes with a modern touch. The breakfast is fantastic with a selection of bread, sweet pastries, eggs, ham cheese, joghurt, müesli and many more things."

"About a 15-minute walk from the centre of Bellagio, Hotel Silvio is well-placed for a relaxed and enjoyable stay. The room is extremely well appointed, with modern fittings and a balcony with those wonderful views of the lake. In addition to the stunning views, the staff are all extremely friendly and helpful, offering their local knowledge for planning ferry trips around the lake. One thing they suggest is to take the walk into Bellagio via the nearby villa Melzi's gardens - it will take you longer, but the lakeside views and the gardens are beautiful! The restaurant, also, is terrific. The fare is based on traditional fish recipes using the local fishing on Lake Como and the traditional dishes are a specialty of the house - absolutely stunning! Not to be missed! Apart from the love shown in the preparation of these dishes and the amicable and helpful waiters, the view from the restaurant also is magnificent! All in all, a wonderful experience!"
