Bhaktapur hotels & accommodations

This guesthouse was a perfect cultural experience for us as our first night in Nepal and in Bhaktapur. They provided a driver (extra cost) to pick us up from the airport that I highly recommend as they will lead you through the intense crowd and into their safe car. Nighttime in October is fairly cold and they provide an extra blanket. The place had low ceilings which ...

We loved our 2 nights here in early December. We arrived in the dark but a hotel member came out to meet our taxi at the edge of town and accompanied us in the car to the hotel which was very helpful. I stayed for a couple of nights in December 2014, and it was one of the best accommodations I've stayed in Nepal. Very cozy atmosphere, great hospitality and very conveniently located in Pottery Square inside Bhaktapur city, so it is very peaceful. My stay at the hotel was very relaxed. The staff members were very helpful in all ways possible. They helped arrange my travel itineraries and local transport when I needed to move from one place to another. The price of their services was not bad, very affordable. During meals, breakfast and dinner (which I had at the hotel), they tried to accommodate me by making sur...

I've stayed at about six or seven places in Bhaktapur (I visit Nepal twice a year) and this is undoubtedly the best place to stay. They seem to have thought of everything: comfortable bed, hot water, electricity sockets where they should be, and a desk for you to do any business you need to do on your laptop. If you struggle with noise at night then this place is perfe...

I stayed for 3 nights in this guest house. Lovely homely feel inside. Price is reasonable for what you get. The bathroom is tiny with no window and over time I imagine water/dam...

We can recommend this very nice hotel to every one staying in Bhaktapur. Situated on a Hill with a great view of the city, about just fifteen minutes walk from the old part of town. The nice space around the hotel, the garden and terrasses and our balcony were wonderful to get back to. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wifi did not work on my first day, but they offered to connect me to the adjacent hotel with wifi. Good breakfast with a breathtaking view of the Taumadhi Temple and square. Soft beddings, good hot shower at all times, and staff that addresses your every concern.
Cheap places to stay in Bhaktapur

Superb Location. Clean with good showers (and hot water!). Staff are very shy/not communicative (perhaps because of poor English?), was difficult to get any information from them (transport, tours, treks, places to eat etc. They had no clue). We arrived at 9pm on the first night and asked if there were places to eat to which they responded that everything was closed an...

I just submitted a review of Taleju Hotel in Kathmandu. However, I made a major mistake and reviewed Paradise Hotel in Bhaktapurinstead of Taleju Botique Hotel. I don't know if you can make the correction and submit the Taleju review under Bhaktapur Paradise Hotel. Otherwise, just cancel out the misguided review, and I will redo them correctly. Thanks.

Skip Kathmandu and come straight to Bhaktapur. The Durbar Square in Bhaktapur outshines Kathmandu's any day of the week.
Stay 1 day or 2 days in Bhaktapur to explore the heritage area. Morning experience in the squares by walking around is great moment, because you can see directly the lifestyle of the locals starting the day.
City is great. On the street you will find many child beggers. Don't give any money. If you have some fruits such as water mellon, litchis share some .
It's amazing. A warren of medieval back streets punctuated by large squares littered with huge, intricately carved temples.
bhaktapur sq pottery sq are both excellent places to spend time and watch the unfolding of local life and religious activities around the nayatapola temple.
Nice place which is not far away from Kathmandu which takes you around 40 mins. And Nagrokot ( sorry maybe wrong spelling) near the Bhaktapur is a good place to go for sunrise view and village hiking.
There are not too many interesting things in this city. All the things are very similar. So maybe spend an afternoon to walk around the streets is enough.
Ancient city which remain much of it origin and is worth a visit. A place which is different from Kathmandu and Patan Durbar Square, i consider this is the best sight seeing and shopping area among the 3 Durbar Square.
Foreign tourists (non SAARC) are subjected to a 1100 NPR entrance fee to the city where most of the guest houses are located.
Its a city like you've never seen before. Really interesting, its like stepping into another century!!!!
Great place to experience view and learn about traditional Newari/Nepali culture! It is a lot quieter and less busy than Kathmandu (= more relaxing!).
We love here, quiet city, much better than Kathmandu. Nice people, they will always smile to you, then make you feel so good.
There is little to no nightlife in the city, partially because of the blackouts and because it is a smaller town.
It's a quiet small town with lots of old buildings. You can just walk around and relax. Children asking for money are annoying.
It's a magical place from a different time, yet the magic is ruined by the dirty streets and the beggars, you need to pay an old woman so you can take her picture.
the most impressive city in Nepal, if not the most impressive place in the country. Much nicer and good environment than other Nepal cities.
PLease take the time to visit this wonderful place and enjoy all it has to offer. Maybe be a little shrewd with the street kids, they are adorable but have a school book scam going which can cost you rahter a lot if you're taken in by it.
this is a good place, I can walk freely in the street, not too much car in the street,it is good, and the air is better than kathmandu
