Dubrovnik hotels & places to stay

we had a wonderful stay at hotel more for my husband's 30th birthday. the room with a sea view was incredible and the views from the hotel were stunning. the location was great, outside the bustle and crowds of dubrovnik, but still easy to get to old town. the little private "beach" area was quite nice and rare apparently in dubrovnik. the food was also excellent at the restaurant. without telling anyone, a bottle of champagne appeared for my husband's birthday- great touch!

We were given a room in the annex - this was perfect. It was a large room with a very comfortable king size bed. The air conditioning was almost silent (never had that before), and all other features you'd expect of a five star hotel - an excellent room/bathroom design. The breakfast is among the best I've had in a hotel, with the unique feature of an "egg chef" preparing eggs to your requirements. We used the pool a couple of times, and noted the gym. Every part of the hotel was extremely clean. I should commend the friendliness and efficiency of all the staff we encountered. Finally the location was perfect, being a short walk from the old town, and about 5 minutes away from the cable car. Buses and taxis were in the square, 2 minutes from the hotel. We will definitely book this hotel again when we return to Dubrovnik.

If you like walking, this is ( in my opinion) perfectly situated. Overlooking the marina, a 15 minute walk ( or 5 minute bus ride, no 6 bus stops right outside the hotel ) into the lively coastal town of Lapad, a beautiful coastal walk to some amazing beach clubs and beaches, rewarding one with the most stunning views. Dubrovnik Old Town is a 40 minute walk away ( or no 6 bus ride ) The hotel itself was very comfortable, clean and modern. The beds were also very comfortable. The staff were more than accommodating and along with all the other Locals in Dubrovnik, very polite and very friendly. The breakfast was more than substantial and offered a very good choice of continental and cooked food, as well as the usual fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereal, cheeses and cold meats. We didn’t use the restaurant outside of breakfast, neither did we use the pool. We wanted to sample as many of the fine restaurants Dubrovnik has to offer, and we like the beach. I would not hesitate to go back there

we planned our trip to dubrovnik just a few days before departure. so i had only little time to choose the hotel. a friend had recommended a valamar hotel and i picked the less expensive one, lacroma. how pleasantly pleased was i! the hotel is well situated in a peaceful neihgbourhood, just a short bus ride from the old city. there was a beautiful sea view. the hotel has top facilities, eg. a spa, a pool both inside and outside. breakfast was very good with plenty of choises. the staff in the restaurants, in the reseption and by the pool were extremely polite. our stay was very smooth and i highly recommend this hotel!

Start to finish superb: greeted by Jelena and a glass of sparkling wine at reception. It’s my second visit to the Valamar President. Expect five star service and excellent amenities. I hope to return again soon. Multiple restaurants and bars, including beach side. Great atmosphere but plenty of space, even when the hotel is fully booked. Free indoor pool and spa area. Great treatment selection, thank you Maja! Wonderful, friendly and professional Concierge Evica helped me secure transport and guide me on best options to visit local Islands. When you need to relax in style, it’s the best choice in Dubrovnik.

Location was great in the centre of old town. But this was also a bad thing as it was so noisy. We could hear people on the street and cleaners dragging bins on the cobbled streets at 4 am. We did ask to change the room but apparently nothing could be done. We were on the first floor so I am not sure if the rooms further up would be less noisy. Don’t stay here if you love your sleep. Apart from this the room was very clean and the shower great.

We had a wonderful time at the Prijeko Palace. A little hard to find, but most good hotels are. The service was wonderful. Our room was at the front overlooking the outside street (alleyway). We never heard or were disturbed by any of the noise, music, etc. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel is located almost in the middle of Old Town, making it very easy to access all the sites, restaurants and attractions Old Town offers.

Fantastic. Hostess very friendly & helpful. Apartment very clean & a good size. Had everything that you needed. Location to old town very close. Supermarkets either 100m up the road or 200m down the stairs. Everything within walking distance. Perfect. Loved sitting on the balcony early morning with a coffee or late afternoon watching the sun set with a wine. Can't complain about it at all. Would definitely stay there again.

The hotel is a 5/10 min bus ride from the old town - and buses run every 15 minutes or so. Dubrovnik itself is glorious but after a morning walking around it or an evening strolling through it and dining there, the rest of the day spent on the beach seems just right. We stayed here for 4 nights. The location although right in the old town where there were thousands of travelers, was great. I was surprised that we did not hear any noise from the bar right outside of our window. Staff were nice and responded to our requests timely. The only issue we had with the place was the breakfast which was made to order and not a whole lot of varieties. We loved Dubrovnik and this hotel added to our experience.

The apartment (single room - 4th floor) is new, stylish, cozy, clean and has everything you would need (safe box, hairdryer, refrigerator, kettle, coffee, hairdryer, towels) . Really nice decor, it looks like a boutique hotel right in the middle of the old town. Next to the Pile Gate and only a few meters from Stradun street. Lots of restaurants and shops just around the corner. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful (helped me a lot with my very late check-in). Reasonable price. Highly recommended.

We had sea view and balcony, which was excellent. The hotel is located 4-5 km´s from Dubrovnik Old Town, right on the beautiful Lapab Bay with the cleanest sea water in the world. It´s a joy to take a swim in that blue-green water.The hotel is situated approx 40 minutes walk outside the beautiful city of Dubrovnik and a bus ride (Bus No. 4) away which run approx every 15 minutes outside the hotel for about 8 KN from the hotel lobby ( approx £1.10) will you get you into the centre in about 10 minutes.You can buy tickets from the staff. As for the staff, they were friendly and spoke English well.

Good hostel close to the Bus station. But it is far from the d town (4-5 kms) and there is a bus stop in front that you can take. There is a bakery shop and a good coffee shop right below. It is in a nice area and right across water. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. The front desk person was incredibly helpful. Very nice place. It worked out really good for me as I had only one day in Dubrovnik. Will come back.

This aparment has a great view of Dubrovnik old town, sea, Lokrum island. It was really great to look those views day and night. Room was cleaned every day and it was really clean. As there are grape trees in terrace, you can find small ants, but it waa okay us. They have a lot of kitchen tools, so you can easily make meals with them. Host was really nice and kind. She gave us drinks when we check in and check out. And she always aksed us whethet everything is okay or not. I would like to come back to this apartment if I visit Dubrovnik again with my (future) children.

Loved the pool, good location, short drive to old town. The room is older style, they haven’t been updated. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. I’ve stayed at better 3 star hotels before. The highlight is definitely the pool. I tried to spend as much time there as I could it’s very well looked after and they have sun lounges all around it. Breakfast was average but the coffee was good.

The host Linda is a friendly and nice lady. Always willing to answer any questions. Perhaps it would be better to inform Linda in advanced about your arrival time. When I arrived, she was out and left a memo on her contact number. But, her neighbor was so nice that she has helped me to call Linda before I asked for help. The room is clean and nice with all the basic things you needed. A little point needs to note is that the guest house is located on the upper side of old town, which mean you got to climb some steps to reach it. It's a bit hard when you are with heavy luggage. But in overall, it's really a nice place to stay for your vacation.
