"we planned our trip to dubrovnik just a few days before departure. so i had only little time to choose the hotel. a friend had recommended a valamar hotel and i picked the less expensive one, lacroma. how pleasantly pleased was i! the hotel is well situated in a peaceful neihgbourhood, just a short bus ride from the old city. there was a beautiful sea view. the hotel has top facilities, eg. a spa, a pool both inside and outside. breakfast was very good with plenty of choises. the staff in the restaurants, in the reseption and by the pool were extremely polite. our stay was very smooth and i highly recommend this hotel!"

"Hotel has stunning views of the islands and unforgettable sunsets that you cannot see from the Old Town. So it's a wonderful place to stay. The bus 4 in front of the hotel takes you to the Old Town Pike Gate in about 15 min. The Dubrovnik Palace hotel is very large and has amazing outdoor and indoor pools, rock beach, poolside bars with views, and views from every room. Restaurants and breakfast very good, but you can also walk down the road to Sunset Beach for additional options. Staff were excellent and upgraded our room which we loved. We highly recommend staying at the Dubrovnik Palace and will definitely return. However we are also interested in trying their other properties nearby (all Adriatic Luxury Hotels ALH). Tip: get the Dubrovnik card for 1-, 3-, or 7- day and walk the City Walls."

"We had a wonderful time at the Prijeko Palace. A little hard to find, but most good hotels are. The service was wonderful. Our room was at the front overlooking the outside street (alleyway). We never heard or were disturbed by any of the noise, music, etc. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel is located almost in the middle of Old Town, making it very easy to access all the sites, restaurants and attractions Old Town offers."

Discovering Dubrovnik: Fun Facts and Reasons to Visit

Dubrovnik, located on the southern coast of Croatia, is a city with a rich history and a vibrant culture. Its Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for good reason. The city's walls, built in the 16th century, are a testament to the city's past as a powerful maritime republic. Dubrovnik was an important center of trade and diplomacy, and the city's architecture reflects its cosmopolitan heritage. Today, Dubrovnik is a popular destination for travelers seeking sun, sea, and culture. With its stunning beaches, bustling markets, and lively nightlife, Dubrovnik is a city that has something for everyone.

Getting to Dubrovnik: Tips and Tricks for Travelers

Dubrovnik is easily accessible by air, land, and sea. Dubrovnik Airport is located just outside the city, and there are regular flights to and from major European cities. If you prefer to travel by land, there are buses and trains that run to Dubrovnik from other parts of Croatia and neighboring countries. If you are traveling by car, be aware that the roads in Croatia can be narrow and winding, so it's important to take your time and drive carefully. Once you arrive in Dubrovnik, you can easily get around the city by foot or by public transportation.

Exploring Dubrovnik: Fun Things to Do and See

There are plenty of things to do and see in Dubrovnik. Start by visiting the Old Town, where you can walk along the city walls and take in the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. The Old Town is also home to many historical sites, including the Rector's Palace, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and the Franciscan Monastery. If you're looking for a break from the city, head to one of Dubrovnik's many beaches, such as Banje Beach or Lapad Beach. The summer months, from June to September, are the busiest and most popular time to visit Dubrovnik. The weather is warm and sunny, and there are plenty of outdoor activities and events to enjoy. However, this is also the most expensive time to visit, and the city can be crowded with tourists. If you're looking for a quieter and more affordable time to visit, consider visiting in the spring or fall. The weather is still pleasant, and there are fewer tourists, which means you can enjoy the city's attractions without the crowds.

Dubrovnik Travel Tips: What to Know Before You Go

Before you embark on your trip to Dubrovnik, there are a few things you should know. First, the currency in Croatia is the kuna, not the euro. While many places in Dubrovnik accept euros, it's a good idea to have some kunas on hand for smaller purchases. Second, be aware that Dubrovnik is a hilly city, which means there are lots of stairs and uneven paths. If you have mobility issues, be sure to plan your itinerary accordingly. Finally, be respectful of the local culture and customs. Dress modestly when visiting religious sites, and be mindful of noise levels in residential areas.
