"If you like walking, this is ( in my opinion) perfectly situated. Overlooking the marina, a 15 minute walk ( or 5 minute bus ride, no 6 bus stops right outside the hotel ) into the lively coastal town of Lapad, a beautiful coastal walk to some amazing beach clubs and beaches, rewarding one with the most stunning views. Dubrovnik Old Town is a 40 minute walk away ( or no 6 bus ride ) The hotel itself was very comfortable, clean and modern. The beds were also very comfortable. The staff were more than accommodating and along with all the other Locals in Dubrovnik, very polite and very friendly. The breakfast was more than substantial and offered a very good choice of continental and cooked food, as well as the usual fruit, pastries, yogurt, cereal, cheeses and cold meats. We didn’t use the restaurant outside of breakfast, neither did we use the pool. We wanted to sample as many of the fine restaurants Dubrovnik has to offer, and we like the beach. I would not hesitate to go back there"

"It was a great hotel to relax and enjoy some comfort. The room was spacious and clean and the buffet breakfast was big and varied in what it offered. We loved being able to do some laps in the 25 metre pool and have a stroll by the beach. It was a little way out of the old town of Dubrovnik, but the bus system was easily negotiated and we had a day in the spectacular old town. During off season, it was great value for money but possibly during peak times it could be out of our reach financially."

"I was looking for a hotel in Dubrovnik, I was really pleased to have stayed at Valamar Argosy as were my teenage daughters. Very helpful reception and found us two great rooms next door to each other Sun loungers and location is fab over looking bay Kids loved the breakfast and location to the beach My recommendation is that all the Valamar hotels could and should organise airport pick-up and drop-offs Overall we had a fabulous week on the Island of Mljet and our last night in Dubrovnik visiting the old town in the evening and staying in Valamar for our final night in Croatia was a real treat"

Discovering Dubrovnik: Fun Facts and Reasons to Visit

Dubrovnik, located on the southern coast of Croatia, is a city with a rich history and a vibrant culture. Its Old Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and for good reason. The city's walls, built in the 16th century, are a testament to the city's past as a powerful maritime republic. Dubrovnik was an important center of trade and diplomacy, and the city's architecture reflects its cosmopolitan heritage. Today, Dubrovnik is a popular destination for travelers seeking sun, sea, and culture. With its stunning beaches, bustling markets, and lively nightlife, Dubrovnik is a city that has something for everyone.

Getting to Dubrovnik: Tips and Tricks for Travelers

Dubrovnik is easily accessible by air, land, and sea. Dubrovnik Airport is located just outside the city, and there are regular flights to and from major European cities. If you prefer to travel by land, there are buses and trains that run to Dubrovnik from other parts of Croatia and neighboring countries. If you are traveling by car, be aware that the roads in Croatia can be narrow and winding, so it's important to take your time and drive carefully. Once you arrive in Dubrovnik, you can easily get around the city by foot or by public transportation.

Exploring Dubrovnik: Fun Things to Do and See

There are plenty of things to do and see in Dubrovnik. Start by visiting the Old Town, where you can walk along the city walls and take in the stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. The Old Town is also home to many historical sites, including the Rector's Palace, the Cathedral of the Assumption, and the Franciscan Monastery. If you're looking for a break from the city, head to one of Dubrovnik's many beaches, such as Banje Beach or Lapad Beach. The summer months, from June to September, are the busiest and most popular time to visit Dubrovnik. The weather is warm and sunny, and there are plenty of outdoor activities and events to enjoy. However, this is also the most expensive time to visit, and the city can be crowded with tourists. Second, be aware that Dubrovnik is a hilly city, which means there are lots of stairs and uneven paths. If you have mobility issues, be sure to plan your itinerary accordingly. Finally, be respectful of the local culture and customs. Dress modestly when visiting religious sites, and be mindful of noise levels in residential areas.
