Where to stay in Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik hotels & accommodations
we had a wonderful stay at hotel more for my husband's 30th birthday. the room with a sea view was incredible and the views from the hotel were stunning. the location was great, outside the bustle and crowds of dubrovnik, but still easy to get to old town. the little private "beach" area was quite nice and rare apparently in dubrovnik. the food was also excellent a...
We were given a room in the annex - this was perfect. It was a large room with a very comfortable king size bed. The air conditioning was almost silent (never had that before), and all other features you'd expect of a five star hotel - an excellent room/bathroom design. The breakfast is among the best I've had in a hotel, with the unique feature of an "egg chef" pre...
If you like walking, this is ( in my opinion) perfectly situated. Overlooking the marina, a 15 minute walk ( or 5 minute bus ride, no 6 bus stops right outside the hotel ) into the lively coastal town of Lapad, a beautiful coastal walk to some amazing beach clubs and beaches, rewarding one with the most stunning views. Dubrovnik Old Town is a 40 minute walk away ( or n...
we planned our trip to dubrovnik just a few days before departure. so i had only little time to choose the hotel. a friend had recommended a valamar hotel and i picked the less expensive one, lacroma. how pleasantly pleased was i! the hotel is well situated in a peaceful neihgbourhood, just a short bus ride from the old city. there was a beautiful sea view. the hotel h...
Start to finish superb: greeted by Jelena and a glass of sparkling wine at reception. It’s my second visit to the Valamar President. Expect five star service and excellent amenities. I hope to return again soon. Multiple restaurants and bars, including beach side. Great atmosphere but plenty of space, even when the hotel is fully booked. Free indoor pool and spa a...
The balcony has a great view of the sea. Friendly staff. Downside is that its quite far from bus terminal and old dubrovnik. Other than that im still satisfied. Just need to walk and exercise abit.
Location was great in the centre of old town. But this was also a bad thing as it was so noisy. We could hear people on the street and cleaners dragging bins on the cobbled streets at 4 am. We did ask to change the room but apparently nothing could be done. We were on the first floor so I am not sure if the rooms further up would be less noisy. Don’t stay here if you l...
We had a wonderful time at the Prijeko Palace. A little hard to find, but most good hotels are. The service was wonderful. Our room was at the front overlooking the outside street (alleyway). We never heard or were disturbed by any of the noise, music, etc. Breakfast was included and was very good. The hotel is located almost in the middle of Old Town, making it very...
Fantastic. Hostess very friendly & helpful. Apartment very clean & a good size. Had everything that you needed. Location to old town very close. Supermarkets either 100m up the road or 200m down the stairs. Everything within walking distance. Perfect. Loved sitting on the balcony early morning with a coffee or late afternoon watching the sun set with a wine. Can't comp...
Located in Lapad close to beach. Bus #4 goes to Old City. And connects to Gruz cruise port. Friendly staff and helpful. Good breakfast offered. Can book tours from hotel. Including transport to Airport.
Great location on a lovely beach in a little harbour just over from the old town. The rooms themselves are fine: clean, air conditioned and all facilities. The hotel is a 5/10 min bus ride from the old town - and buses run every 15 minutes or so. Dubrovnik itself is glorious but after a morning walking around it or an evening strolling through it and dining there, the ...
The hotel is located in a quiet part of Dubrovnik close to the water and great views of the sea. Ask for a sea view room. Everything about the hotel is great. Room, food and staff. The old city is a short bus ride. Cruises leave from the harbour close by.
We stayed here for 4 nights. The location although right in the old town where there were thousands of travelers, was great. I was surprised that we did not hear any noise from the bar right outside of our window. Staff were nice and responded to our requests timely. The only issue we had with the place was the breakfast which was made to order and not a whole lot of ...
The apartment (single room - 4th floor) is new, stylish, cozy, clean and has everything you would need (safe box, hairdryer, refrigerator, kettle, coffee, hairdryer, towels) . Really nice decor, it looks like a boutique hotel right in the middle of the old town. Next to the Pile Gate and only a few meters from Stradun street. Lots of restaurants and shops just around ...
You will be wowed with their big seaview.
We had sea view and balcony, which was excellent. The hotel is located 4-5 km´s from Dubrovnik Old Town, right on the beautiful Lapab Bay with the cleanest sea water in the world. It´s a joy to take a swim in that blue-green water. The hotel is situated approx 40 minutes walk outside the beautiful city of Dubrovnik and a bus ride (Bus No. 4) away which run approx every ...
Good hostel close to the Bus station. But it is far from the d town (4-5 kms) and there is a bus stop in front that you can take. There is a bakery shop and a good coffee shop right below. It is in a nice area and right across water. The rooms were clean and so were the bathrooms. The front desk person was incredibly helpful. Very nice place. It worked out reall...
This aparment has a great view of Dubrovnik old town, sea, Lokrum island. It was really great to look those views day and night. Room was cleaned every day and it was really clean. As there are grape trees in terrace, you can find small ants, but it waa okay us. They have a lot of kitchen tools, so you can easily make meals with them. Host was really nice and kind....
Our host Theo is most kind in accommodating our last minute request. Would highly recommend villa Ankora and our friendly host to anyone who seeks easy access to Dubrovnik old city. Not to mention the superb sunset view from our apartment's balcony.
These apartments are brand new which means the rooms are exceptionally clean, bathroom is lovely and towels / bedding is nice. Would recommend stayed here as it’s a good base in Dubrovnik to seeing the old town / different beaches.
Loved the pool, good location, short drive to old town. The room is older style, they haven’t been updated. The mattress was very hard and uncomfortable. I’ve stayed at better 3 star hotels before. The highlight is definitely the pool. I tried to spend as much time there as I could it’s very well looked after and they have sun lounges all around it. Breakfast was avera...
The staff were friendly and accommodating. The guest house is conveniently located in the city center and i surrounded with tons of restaurants and cafes. Will definitely stay again.
Rooms Posat is right near Pile Gate to the old city. Tea Curic is friendly and helpful. The rooms are spotless and well appointed, with good air conditioning. The only reason for a 4 on value for money is that, like all of Dubrovnik, it's a bit pricey. We enjoyed Rooms Posat as a base for our 3 days in Dubrovnik.
The host Linda is a friendly and nice lady. Always willing to answer any questions. Perhaps it would be better to inform Linda in advanced about your arrival time. When I arrived, she was out and left a memo on her contact number. But, her neighbor was so nice that she has helped me to call Linda before I asked for help. The room is clean and nice with all the basic ...
Great from beginning to end - sorted travel for us, sorted rooms, helped with arrangements - Nina is so very helpful. Apartments are very well located. Recommended
A lovely location, quiet and peaceful and yet only 10 minutes from Old Town. Clean, comfortable and everything you could need.
We were lucky to have the visiting son explain about the country history, as this is his working area. A little bit tricky to find the house with the taxi from Montenegro.
We had an excellent stay. We've strongly recommended to our friends and family.

Frindly owner but surrounding of dorm a little bit dirty and mess up 😒 But owner very helpful, there also dog
Recently returned from Croatia and spent 3 nights at this property. The owners are lovely and really made us feel welcome. It is a room only property but we did have a fridge in the room. Room was older looking than other properties we stopped at it Croatia but the location is great if you want to escape the hussle and bussle of Dubrovnik(and the prices). The owner has...
Manda is super friendly, she doesn't speak much English but you can tell she tries. The property is beautiful home, we had a great stay here. She greeted us with tea and cookies, and never bothered about check in/ out time. Yes you have to walk about 4 flights of stairs to the property (the entire city is hilly), it wasn't an issue to us.
Nice stay overlooking sea and Old Town for 3 nights. Pretty room with kitchenette. Location reached by steps and may be difficult with lots of luggage or mobility issues. Friendly helpful owner.
Our stay was great. The area was nice and quiet, and the room we had was spacious and very clean. The bathroom was shared with 4 or 5 other rooms I think but was large and always clean. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, giving us lots of tips and ideas for things to do. Wifi was fast and free too.
Bus stop, supermarkets, resto and bakery are just a few meters away. Port Gruz and Dubrovnik are 20 mins away by bus. The room has a kitchenette complete with cooking utensils. The view outside the house is very nice.
The accommodation is situated a little bit out of the main part of Dubrovnik and hard to get to but it has superb views over the harbor. We stayed in a nice room with a balcony overlooking the area which was amazing. The owner was really friendly and keen for a chat. Thanks
Perfect little place for one or two people and good value. It was lacking the basics, not even oil, tea coffee, etc. All other apartments I have been in provided a few essentials. I was only staying one night but there is a shop nearby for those would stay longer so you can stock those things yourself.
The room is nice and spacious. It is super close to the dubvornik bus station. As we arrive and depart the city with bus, it is very convenient for us to reach the station in only 2mins walk. However, the bathroom was terrible. The door of the shower cannot be closed and water was on the floor. The water cannot be dried till the next day morning even we have turned on ...
We stayed 5 nights in the Villa Konalic and the stay was good. From the moment we arrived we were met by the owner and she helped us throughout our stay with information and even changing our rooms as we wanted a double instead of a twin. Very clean hotel with comfortable beds. Further from old town that we expected, even though there is a bus which takes you to the...

the apartment is simply awesome. spacious, spotless clean, and has everything that an apartment should have. wonderful host who helped us in everything, even dropped us to the bus stop. location is not bad as its easily reachable by bus 4 from old town in 10 mins. highly recommended
Guesthouse are in the middle from old town and harbor Gruz. There are good bus communications (nr 8). So if you stay longer than few days buy weekly card so you can travel free by bus and can enter some museums and the wall for only 220 khuna.(20 EU) The owner of the guesthouse is also the only staff there and she is very and I mean very friendly. The rooms were ok,...

Super location for those traveling via bus and simple to get to the Old Town. Apartment is terrific, very clean and spacious. The owners were great--easy communication, pickup and drop off complimentary, and an issue with wifi was quickly resolved (even on a Sunday). Would highly recommend and hope to stay again.
We checked in late around 0100 but we were accommodated well and the check in process was smooth. They do not have a big sign outside their property so the Uber driver had some issues locating the apartment. It would help to access or save the photos of the apartment exterior from the Agoda / etc websites. The old city is a moderate stroll from the apartment but the wa...

Good location and friendly guy who brought us over. However, the facilities were not fantastic such as faulty heater in the living room (luckily theres aircon that function as heater, NO heater in the bed room during winter (brrr so cold sleeping). Also, the adjustable shower head holder was missing (so you have to hold the shower head to wash your hair and body).

Great thanks to Ana,the friendly and caring hostess, for meeting us at the Bus Terminal, talking to us to see what help we need. The modern-designed apartment is clean and air-conditioned, well equipped with comfortable bed, separate bathroom, kitchen and a balcony where we can enjoy the sea view and the starry sky.The neighbourhood is friendly and safe. Great locatio...
For us, it was a completely equipped room. And owner Tony is very kind enough. His great hospitality is unforgettable. First day, he treated us warmly, and welcome drink was homemade liqour which tastes terrific! His introduction about the room and town was very polite! Also he was kind enough to wake up in 4a.m. and took us to the airport by his car. We can't thank h...
It is a 20 minute bus ride to old town. Not too much in the immediate neighborhood for things to do. This apartment is close enough though and had everything we needed. Very much recommended, I would stay here again.
We were lucky to have the visiting son explain about the country history, as this is his working area. A little bit tricky to find the house with the taxi from Montenegro.
Great location. Nice host. Very clean.
It was an overall lovely stay, but it was quite a walk to Old Town or Lapad to get to restaurants, about 20-30 minutes in either direction. There is a small supermarket (Pemo) about 5-7 minutes walk from the apartment which was handy. The apartment itself was clean, spacious and modern. The kitchen had all the basic utensils, pots and condiments (salt, sugar, pepper,...
Meet and greet pickup from ferry terminal. Can ask him for any information freely. Nice apartment

We had an excellent stay. We've strongly recommended to our friends and family.
Great apartment in perfect location to explore the old town. Spotless and very nicely set up. The young guy on reception was very friendly and helpful.
Super well equipped and spacious room right in the heart of old town. Loved the feel and layout of the room and the facilities, even a Nespresso machine and capsules! Owner's daughter was very kind and helpful, and the owner is very thoughtful as well. My only small gripe was that the hairdryer was very oily and should be given a good clean!
Pros - good location, good to access to transport and nice part of town. Cons - Would not recommend the room we stayed in, was a comfort studio which was directly outside a busy road. There is a water restriction - boiler which only produces a certain amount of hot water. All in all I would recommend these apartments, but stay in a one bedroom apartment with the ho...
10 mins by bus no.6 to old town. The bus was very frequent. The apartment is quiet, spacious, new and comfy. We could find everything from the apartment like iron, laundry hanging bar etc. Ivana was an excellent host. She's vert attentive and friendly.
This apartment is in a great location in Old Town. Only a short distance from Pile gate. Easy to come back to in between sightseeing and tours in old town, just to cool down and head back out again. The apartment smelled of freshly washed linen. Clean, immaculate and modern. Highly recommended. We will definitely book again if we visit Dubrovnik again!
Meet and greet pickup from ferry terminal. Can ask him for any information freely. Nice apartment
It was a great hotel to relax and enjoy some comfort. The room was spacious and clean and the buffet breakfast was big and varied in what it offered. We loved being able to do some laps in the 25 metre pool and have a stroll by the beach. It was a little way out of the old town of Dubrovnik, but the bus system was easily negotiated and we had a day in the spectacular o...
I was looking for a hotel in Dubrovnik, I was really pleased to have stayed at Valamar Argosy as were my teenage daughters. Very helpful reception and found us two great rooms next door to each other Sun loungers and location is fab over looking bay Kids loved the breakfast and location to the beach My recommendation is that all the Valamar hotels could and should org...
Facility was very nice, but! Many stairs up and long walk to bus and restaurants, up and down stairs. Must be healthy to walk and carry bags. Must pay cash, Cration Kuna, no credit cards.
My friend and I stayed for 2-nights at the Dubrovnik Stari Grad and we both agreed this hotel earns high praises. 1st- the entire staff went out of their way to make us happy. We asked a lot of questions and they never seemed annoyed, just happy to please. 2nd-The restaurant on the top floor has a great rooftop view of the city and the food was even better than the ...
Big spacious apartment. Very clean. Comfortable mattress and pillows. Best shower since travelling through Croatia. Located in the heart of the old city. Definitely would stay again
very good location, just opposite the main bus station and walk distance to port go to the island. The hotl provide fast internet access. Staff very kind and helpful. It is the great experience.
Make sure you get the door code before you arrive.
We stayed at Villa King apartment for 7 nights in September 2013. This apartment was the best one we stayed in while traveling around Europe. It is close to Old town (approx 1km) but also far enough away from all the noise and hustle and bustle when you want some quite time. The owner's were very helpful and kind. They offered to help us in so many ways if we needed it...
This apartment is not a hotel and should not be reviewed as one. It is a Small 2 room apartment below ground level. Ana the girl who met us was lazy and rude. A number of things are broken such as shower or missing. no can opener wine glass etc. Very noisey at night with suitcases pulled over cobblestones late at night. Location the best thing as nice little beach and...
We stayed here for 2 nights. The owner is kind and the apartment is wide to accomodate many persons with 2 bed rooms and separate living room and kitchen. It has nice overviw from the balcony to the new city and sea.
The apartment was perfect. Clean, bright, modern. A supermarket around the corner and the bus into Old Town Dubrovnic across the road. The owners are lovely people, really helpful. They bought my daughter a cold remedy as she was unwell and the pharmacy wasn't very close. The shower and bed are excellent and it is equipped with all you need. Great holiday, thanks...
The apartment is so chic and with personal details. It’s clean, bed is comfortable & with complete amenities. The location is very good as it’s only 250-300 meters from Pile Gate Old town. Buses are also available to travel around. A lot of restaurants, sandwich bars, bakery and market along the way. Behind the apartment, you can view the wall with great views. I had a...
Nice apartment, great location, spacious. Only downside is the noise from street level.
Good location, very big apartment with many rooms. Good choice !

Wonderful location, so close to the old city and other major sites. Stunning views from the front deck was an added feature. The owners were extremely helpful and went out of their way to help us when any issues arose. The only small issues was the lack of kitchen implements when we wanted to cater for ourselves at home. Not a major problem overall but if the accommod...

Its a beautiful little city, with lots to see and do it you like history and ancient architecture. Nice restaurants but be sure to check reviews first as there are some bad ones too.
It is one of the most beautiful city I have ever been. Everything is perfect - the historical spots, the beautiful ocean, very well-preserved the city wall, the proud of the citizens, and the sunshine.
