Where to stay in Galway
Galway hotels & accommodations
Everything was perfect. Glad I stayed in SALTHILL portion of GALWAY. Beautiful location on the bay, only 20 minutes into town, but salthill has alot to offer in pubs & restaurants. Rusheen bay house was a great find. Thank you ANN & Patrick, they made me feel right at home.
The Galway Bay Hotel is a lovely place to stay. Our room was very comfortable and clean, with excellent bedding, towels, and amenities. The free broadband internet and the pool/fitness center were also very nice. Our only complaint was that the people at the front desk were not helpful in that they did not know Galway very well and gave poor advice about driving, parki...
I have been traveling around Europe for 3 months. This is one of the best hostel in Europe so far (from my experience). I mean over all the best. Friendly staffs and service mind. The room is good size and the kitchen maybe small but it's ok. The location is awesome because it just right at the centre. The restroom is enough The night shift man is so kind to me as i ha...
Had a great room. On a corner so 2 sets of windows and room light and airy. Hotel short walk from all the action so was nice and quiet (wouldn't be over summer but that applies to any Galway hotel). Overnight parking quite handy - €8 for 24 hours. Very good restaurant, reasonably priced food. Staff helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.
Balcony House A and B Galway No one will be giving Balcony House A and B an award for best design or even least offending design. Basic comfort at a very basic price is the best that can be said about these accommodations that are at least located within close proximity to some of Galway’s tourist attractions. Set your sights low and don’t expect anything fancy in the ...
Nice place
The apartments are in a great location if you are wanting to be in the heart of the city and close to all the action, however; it came with a larger price tag for this location and we had a few issues. It was great to have a secure parking space provided with the rental but navigating the parking garage is not the easiest task. We also had zero hot water and therefore ...
The hotel is 2 kilometers from the city center (~25 minute walk). The rooms were older and the hot water in the shower would go from hot to cold and even stopped coming out of the shower head. It's an ok hotel to just grab a few Z's and then travel on to the next destination. Not suitable to relax and enjoy what Galway has to offer.
Great location, love the mural, friendly helpful staff. Decent breakfast if toast or cereal. Clean
the apartment is a little old, but it is well equipped and parking is super easy. The location is a little off the city centre, but not unreachable. It is also opposite a nice esplanade for walks or runs. The layout of the apartment is not great with 1 room facing the corridor (so passerby can look in) and the other facing the main road, which is really noisy. Th...
Great location, comfortable room and very friendly owners, would highly recommend
We were with our two little ones in a family room. A lovely hostel with very friendly and helpfull staff. It maybe could do with a little touch up, but it all adds to its charm. Would definitively stay there again when visiting Galway! Paid parking at the front, but big parking lot at 2 minutes walk for only 5 euro's per day.
The accommodation is above a pub so when there is live music, don't plan on getting to sleep early - then again, you are in Galway so there shouldn't be much sleeping! Jo and her staff are wonderful. Very pleasant people and will help you with anything. A nice stay.
The staff was wonderful, was very clean and the design/decor was very cool. For a hostel, it wasn't that noisy either besides hearing your neighbors come home at night, but otherwise it was fine and got quiet again after they settled in. Also a wonderful perk was free breakfast with coffee and tea every morning, they had a great spread!!! My husband and I stayed in a d...
My room was enormous and luxuriously equipped with a full-size bathtub for soaking after a long day exploring. The breakfast was substantial and served in a lovely dining room. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The location can't be beat; the rail station, which also houses the old bus station, and the new coach station are easy walks, even with luggage.
The hotel was great value for money. Check-in was quick. The rooms were spacious. The bar is nice for a quite drink. The gym and the pool were of high standard. Great selection for breakfast; a choice of cereals, toast, brown bread, tea, coffee, orange juice, yougarts, fruit, full irish fry-up.... The location is good for sightseeing but if you want to shop the drive i...
We stayed one night here. Room was clean and we had a nice view of the river. Town center is about 10-15 minute walking distance which was great because we could park our car at the guest house and just walk into town for dinner and sightseeing. Galway is a lovely little Irish town.
everyting is very nice! I like the single room!Enjoying beer in ground floor—bar, bus station beside the Wards Hotel, and “Centra” just across the street, near city center, very convenience!
We stayed as part of a group. We had 2 6-bed dorms that were made private for us. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. We originally had 18 guest but people dropped out last min and we were not charged any extra. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful. Its location is very central being very close to Eyre Square and shopp...
My room was really huge with two desks and a lot of space, also a nice balcony facing the promenade. Furniture was excellent and modern. Big bed very confortable. Very nice pool available, but I was able to spend just half an hour, I saw the gym, but I didn't go in, it seemed very nice, big with a lot of machines. The hotel is quite far from the center of Galway, but r...
Food was not of a high standard. For a four star hotel it was lacking a certain standard eg modern television, fridge in the room etc. looked like a Best Western, which for the price was too much to ask.
This was a very nice hotel situated in the centre of the city, in fact so central you can not drive to it!! Parking is a problem in the city and not least for The Skiff. However, the hotel has a preferential rate at one of the car parks that, perhaps, should be indicated on the website. Nice old hotel, great bars and obviously the centre of entertainment. Good base for exploring Galway. Convenient and great to have a restaurant and bar at ground level.Breakfasts a good start to the day
It is located center of galway. Staffs are very friendly but Wi-fi doesn't work in my room. Breakfast is not bad but very simple.
The hotel is quite near the Eyre Square, behind the Bank of Ireland, really centrally located. The room which I stayed is very tidy and clean, and TV and fast Internet (wifi) indoor.
Desota had parking and was a great location for walking to centre of Galway, plenty of pubs, restaurants etc. we were two couples who got very small rooms and small bathroom for one couple. Pay for a larger room if available. Satisfactory but nothing spectacular.... Breakfast was very good.
We had a lovely stay at the Radisson in Galway. Room excellent and clean. We were facilitated with early occupancy. Staff are very professional. Breakfast was excellent and a good variety of food. Very close to centre of Galway city. We had a very enjoyable stay
We are returning guests because this hotel is in a great position in the nicest part of Galway. Very central for shopping and handy for night life. Lovely views too. Staff are very helpful and always try to give us our requested room. Hotel is spotlessly clean and with lovely welcoming foyer. Beds comfortable and decent sized flat screened telly with good channels. Goo...

Great location, comfortable room and very friendly owners, would highly recommend
We just loved it here! Larry is a brilliant host, very nice person, the room was very nice, breakfast was perfect and fresh, and most importantly he has a gorgeous black cat named Elvis! We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend it with ease!
We certainly enjoyed our stay

Nice place
One of our favorite B&B, Anne was lovely and welcoming, she make us right at home, the room is clean and comfortable, the breakfast were exceptional, Anne make the best scrambled eggs, highly recommend this Place
We just returned from our trip to Ireland. St. Judes provided us a wonderful experience; clean room and bathroom, warm staff members, and fantastic breakfast! Location was a bit off from the Galway Center but it only took a short taxi drive. It was convenient enough for us since we drove to places such as Cliffs of Moher. My 9 year old really enjoyed her first B&B expe...

Room is small but cozy and clean and functional. It is walking distance from Galway city centre and provide free parking. Unless you're a person that needs plenty of space, I found it comfortable. Mike is my husband's man crush. Really. Try and not fall for Mike and Breda's warmth, humor and charm. They're a delight and made us feel right at home. Breakfast is delicious and a joyful start to the day. They were happy to suggest places to explore and gave us the lay of the land when we arrived for our stay in Galway. Had an awesome time at The Stop B and B. Very helpful hosts who guided us on the hows of the city. Enjoyed the stay and will definitely go back again!

Clean and nice environment with great Irish breakfast But heater was out around midnight made us a bit chill.

Our stay was pleasant, although the linen on the beds was very old and thin and the breakfast was fairly average. All in all though, a good value B&B only 10 mins walk to Galway city centre.
