Galway hotels & places to stay

Everything was perfect. Glad I stayed in SALTHILL portion of GALWAY. Beautiful location on the bay, only 20 minutes into town, but salthill has alot to offer in pubs & restaurants. Rusheen bay house was a great find. Thank you ANN & Patrick, they made me feel right at home.

Had a great room. On a corner so 2 sets of windows and room light and airy. Hotel short walk from all the action so was nice and quiet (wouldn't be over summer but that applies to any Galway hotel). Overnight parking quite handy - €8 for 24 hours. Very good restaurant, reasonably priced food. Staff helpful and pleasant. Would definitely stay there again.

Balcony House A and B Galway No one will be giving Balcony House A and B an award for best design or even least offending design. The apartments are in a great location if you are wanting to be in the heart of the city and close to all the action, however; it came with a larger price tag for this location and we had a few issues. The hotel is 2 kilometers from the city center (~25 minute walk). The rooms were older and the hot water in the shower would go from hot to cold and even stopped coming out of the shower head. It's an ok hotel to just grab a few Z's and then travel on to the next destination. Not suitable to relax and enjoy what Galway has to offer.

We were with our two little ones in a family room. A lovely hostel with very friendly and helpfull staff. It maybe could do with a little touch up, but it all adds to its charm. Would definitively stay there again when visiting Galway! Paid parking at the front, but big parking lot at 2 minutes walk for only 5 euro's per day.

The accommodation is above a pub so when there is live music, don't plan on getting to sleep early - then again, you are in Galway so there shouldn't be much sleeping! Jo and her staff are wonderful. Very pleasant people and will help you with anything. A nice stay.

The staff was wonderful, was very clean and the design/decor was very cool. My room was enormous and luxuriously equipped with a full-size bathtub for soaking after a long day exploring. The breakfast was substantial and served in a lovely dining room. The staff was exceptionally helpful. The location can't be beat; the rail station, which also houses the old bus station, and the new coach station are easy walks, even with luggage.

The hotel was great value for money. Check-in was quick. The rooms were spacious. The bar is nice for a quite drink. The gym and the pool were of high standard. We stayed one night here. Room was clean and we had a nice view of the river. Town center is about 10-15 minute walking distance which was great because we could park our car at the guest house and just walk into town for dinner and sightseeing. Galway is a lovely little Irish town.

We just loved our room - very cosy and just perfect! Breakfast was lovely and the owner's are just the best. we felt very welcome and taken care the whole time we were there. And they have two gorgeous little dogs :)

This was a very nice hotel situated in the centre of the city, in fact so central you can not drive to it!! Parking is a problem in the city and not least for The Skiff. Good base for exploring Galway. Convenient and great to have a restaurant and bar at ground level.Breakfasts a good start to the day

It is located center of galway. Staffs are very friendly but Wi-fi doesn't work in my room. Breakfast is not bad but very simple.

The hotel is quite near the Eyre Square, behind the Bank of Ireland, really centrally located. The room which I stayed is very tidy and clean, and TV and fast Internet (wifi) indoor.

Desota had parking and was a great location for walking to centre of Galway, plenty of pubs, restaurants etc. we were two couples who got very small rooms and small bathroom for one couple. Pay for a larger room if available. Satisfactory but nothing spectacular.... Breakfast was very good.
