"This is the third time I have stayed in the Rex Hotel in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. Each time I have enjoyed the suites which are luxurious and reasonably priced. The tours are very organized and punctual. This time on one of the tours we had to return early as a relative was not well and this was handled considerately and very professionally. This hotel has a grand white marbled floor and red carpet entrance and all the staff are very friendly and helpful. There are 2 well maintained rooftop swimming pools plus a rooftop bar that has appeared in numerous travel magazines. At the moment they are renovating some of the older room so there is some slight noise in the daytime but otherwise it was not too intrusive. The suites are lovely with large beds, clean linen and good facilities. When next I go back to Ho Chi Minh I hope to return here. "

"Brilliant for a stop over to see the sights of Ho Chi Minh city before heading off to your Vietnam or over seas destinations or for a convenient centre city base for a holiday. Staff are very friendly and helpful ,hotel is very clean and well presented with very comfortable rooms and ammenities. The free shuttle pick up and drop off service makes the long flights and trying to get transport to and from your downtown HCM Hotel that little bit easier. Would highly recommend this hotel."

"I stayed in 5 hotels in Ho Chi Minh City and this one was the most fabulous one in terms of decoration, service and overall facilities. Everything is done with love for details. Free afternoon tea is served from 15:00 - 17:00. And it's not only tea, but a whole selection of tasty cakes and kind of dim sum. Breakfast is tasty as well and far above average for a 4 star hotel. There is a rooftop terrace with bar, pool, sauna and steam room. The steam room has a big window direction west, making it very special at sunset. The pools are rather small but big enough for a cool down after a city trip. Staff is very attentive and professional. Especially Dais and Max at reception. And a very big thank you to Ali, the butler at the entrance taking care of everything even before you enter the hotel. I had to box a bicycle and Ali helped me with tools and whatever was needed to do the job... and it was great fun to do it with him together :-) Number one!"

"Overall the stay was very satisfactory with the hotel offering a clean, comfortable and enjoyable stay whilst in Ho Chi Minh City. The location was good with easy access to the rest of the city. I was there on business and the free WiFi made my stay that much more enjoyable being able to keep on top of e-mails when travelling. The accommodation was bright and airy, well appointed and everything in good working order. The bed was super comfortable offering for a good nights sleep before attending to meetings the next day. Although, some loud music could be heard from the room facing the front of the hotel, whilst my colleague having a room facing the side/rear never hear the music. Only one criticism; there was no iron or ironing board in the room, which when called for on 3 separate occasions, wasn't available until early the next morning. The hotel could do with placing an iron and ironing board in the rooms. The restaurant could do with upgrading the selection/variety of food as, whilst being adequate, could be better, but ample and tasty nonetheless. Overall a very enjoyable stay at the hotel and certainly a hotel I will return to. "

"We arrived at 10h30 am and room was already available and we were charged $US25:00 for checking in before 14h00 . Lot of money for us Canadians especially that we told the clerk that we were leaving the hotel in four days at 06h00 in the morning and that they could charged again the same amount to another client arriving before checking time. That was our 5th hotel in Vietnam and we never encountered this problem before but we were told "hotel policy". As we left, we tried again to be refunded but at 05h50 in the morning we dealt with a night staff that did not cooperate with us again "hotel policy" was his answer. The final bill was difficult to understand as the amounts in Vietnamese did not match our invoices only the invoice number matched. Again, as we were leaving for the airport and that the employee had limited English speaking we had to pay the bill and move on. That was our last stop from Vietnam having visited Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An, Dalat and finally Ho chi minh and never encountered this problem in Vietnam. We left Ho chi minh on a sour note and flew to Siemp Reap. On a good note, the hotel is well located, very nice staff, good food, super nice room but very lousy policy for checking in. Travelers beware checking in before 14h00 it will cost you $US 25.00. Disappointed canadian traveller: Francine Mault "

"We started our Vietnam trip in Ho Chi Minh at the bay hotel and were super satisfied! The only bad thing was that we got first a room where the bathroom was smelling bad, but we just could change to another room ! The staff is super friendly and one day we overslept the breakfast and even though it was already closed they prepared a breakfast for us. The hotel is also very clean and everything is new and we also enjoyed the rooftop pool ! The staff booked everything we asked. They are super organized "

"Very impress with Dinh Phat hotel, since the location is really strategic.,, close to anything you need such as local - international restaurants, minimart, Ben Thanh Market where a bargain shopping and local food stalls are available, Pham Ngu Lao area where vibrant nightlife is, many sightseeing places are only 15-20 minutes by foot (or call taxi for just only 5 minutes drive), many tour agency are surrounded and local cafe for coffee relaxing (is one of activities that you should not miss in Ho Chi Minh City) .,, Hotel is really clean and comfortable .,, Staffs are very nice; friendly, informative and attentive. Wifi is very fast and trustworthy .,, My booking has not include breakfast or any hotel catering .,, So, no comment for that .,, Overall of my 3 nights here was very impress and valuable :) "
